kingdom far away there lived a cute with

a beard so long that it reached his feet

he was the mighty king caciotta and his

kingdom spanned five rivers and three

forests the King wished to visit every

inch of his lands and rivers and see for

himself that all was well hence he

travelled for a year to the farthest

corners of his kingdom and when he was

satisfied that all was indeed well he

started to journey back home on one such

sultry day this son is being cruel today

if we travel by noon we shall not get

far so let us camp here a few hours till

it is somewhat cooler and then we shall

resume our journey

suddenly the king was consumed with the

thirst so earnest that he thought he

should die if he did not have a drink of

water so he mounted his horse to look

for a river or lake or anything he

searched long and came to a lake with

water as blue as can be and sparkling as

crystal

the king was so consumed by thirst that

he lay on the ground and lapped up the

water as a cat would and after he had

had his fill the king wanted to get up

but something had held fast to his beard

he saw a massive green face looking up

at him from under the water let go off

me or else you shall have to pay the

price

none of your threats will work with me

for here under the water is my world but

I can let you go on one condition what

is it you should give me the most

present and you have in your palace now

and which you know nothing yet

fine I promise at this the monster let

go of the Kings beard and set him free

the king finally reached his palace and

was greeted with much pomp and rejoicing

his queen waited at the gates of the

he ensured that his son was well guarded

at all times but time went by and the

prince grew up to be a brave wise youth

interested in many arts other than

weaponry and the king forgot all about

his fear of the monster

but one day whilst the prince was out

camping in the forest he got separated

from his comrades and was exploring the

forest when Prince Milan the son of the

mighty king caciotta

do I know you sir you don't but your

father dies tell him you met me and that

I am still waiting for him to fulfill

his promise we shall meet again son till

then goodbye the prince told the king

about the strange visitor and the king

had no option but to tell his family

about the promise he had made to the

monster years ago without knowing that

the monster wanted his son on hearing

and it must be fulfilled I shall go to

the Green Monster myself but son the

promise was unfair is this a price to

pay for a few gulps of a water whatever

kept and things never really are as bad

now the king and queen knew that the

prince was right and so reluctantly

they sent him into the forest to the

lake of the Green Monster when the

Prince went to the lake he saw ten ducks

swimming in it and ten little garments

kept ashore the Prince hid behind a tree

one by one the Ducks came and wore the

garment they changed at once into

beautiful damsels and walked away only

the last damsel remained behind

who is this that I sense hiding behind

the tree I am sorry my lady

when I saw all in the water I knew not

what to do what brings you here Prince

Milan if you know my name then you must

know of the promise my father made to

the rule over the world under the lake

long ago the ruler is my father

prince went to the court of the monster
