Sightseers pour in and traffic jams the

streets. Crowds try to swarm their way

into the trial. The carnival is on. The

first of the principal characters in the

drama to arrive is the loyal wife of

Hman fighting for her husband.

Just under three years ago now.

A normal, happy little boy,

only 20 months old or young,

spent the entire day playing with his

adoring parents of Charles and Anne

Lindberg.

And later,

that very night,

this curlyhaired, happy little boy was

taken from his crib and was brutally

murdered.

Simple

words are spelled wrongly in both cases.

Spelled wrongly in very specific ways.

You see in the ransom note the word our

came from the floor of Halpin's attic.

Examine it carefully.

There is not a sign of any hammer mark

used to pull it out.

I didn't need a hammer. I just uh I

reached down with my hand and I just

pulled it out. The nails just came right

up.

since it was built. 7 years. They've

been there so long that they're part of

the house.

And yet there is not a mark from any

hammer or any crowbar

or anything.

Both times at cemeteries in the Bronx
