And then they brought in poor Horace

And Dr. Crawford Long's claim that he

had done it 4 years before.

Well, maybe they all did do it first.

Maybe they all did discover the use of

ether. I guess they did all right.

But it seems so cruel to have let people

go on suffering so long after they knew

how to stop it.
