return or maintain in this country in

its natural state and preserve those

cultural values and significant sites

it's a project that the Rangers are

what had been damaged there before when

we interact with visitors on the

National Park we tended to hand them a

us about where all the rock art is so we

direct them to deep gorge and they go

have a look there so there's a million

odd petroglyphs in deep gorge and around

the National Park everyone can go there

we have our cultural signs as well up

there so they know that not to climb the

rocks and take photos of arcade faces or

here at on the archipelago so they're

like 42 islands that we monitor we

monitor things like the mango systems

rough water we populations turtles do

whilst I keep my eye out for illegal

activities to get a lot of stuff washed

up from the boats and quite a few

graffiti we found out there as well if

we find any of that we report that

straight away to your customs or a

security or federal Port Authority the

best part of being a modular Ranger out

in the merge of the National Park is to

look after the water itself the country

and knowing who the traditional owners

are off the land and get guidance from

them from helping us

what I love most about being out on the

islands is the beaches the scenery and

all the wildlife that goes with it

plants and animals flowering time is

just beautiful I love the main thing

I've learned in here and that I pay

attention to is the traditional owners

to us the high cultural sensitivity of

this place and that's a very serious and

also very important role that I have to

convey through the Mirage Atlanta scene

and make sure that those values are

adhered to and followed would sides been

really important to more juga aboriginal

corporation it's enabled us to develop

our Ranger unit the Ranger unit is

critical for us and they've been able to

develop their capability over the years

right now today there are a modern

highly efficient highly capable Ranger

unit which is we like to think one of

the best Ranger units certainly in the

state of WI we've got Woodside to thank

work closely with Woodside into the
