that made me feel
very uncomfortable,

and I moved out of the house
about 15 years ago

just because it was just getting
too overwhelming for me.

My brother's girlfriend

and she's actually seeing
a lot of the same things

that I, you know,
saw throughout the years,

and she's terrified.

of footsteps, moaning,

knocking on the windows,

is that it's located right next
to a very dangerous curve.

them screaming for help so...

I feel like there's something

When I was growing up,
we had a couple

amish families that
were close friends of ours.

They do not like

nothing like that at all.

There is a buggy,
a horse-drawn carriage.

to see the amish community.

They're more out this way.

This is where all
the accidents happen.

There has been probably
about 30 deaths on that turn.

This property used to be
peaceful farmland,

but with yari and her family

encountering harrowing
paranormal activity here,

it's far from being
considered tranquil today.

Yari feels the spirits of those
who perished at deadman's curve

that's been happening,

what are you sort
of thinking it is?

Well, I believe
it's from the land.

The amish have been here
for years and years.

We bought the property in 1993.

It was originally
an amish farm,

and there was an amish
house on the property.

We decided to have a controlled
burn to burn it down.

Once we burnt the house down,
then we built this house.

So we moved in in '94.

Within a couple days,
things started happening.

I was downstairs
in the living room,

and I felt something
grab my ankle

and try to pull me
onto the floor.

I moved into this house
when I started dating

jackie's son,
christopher, five years ago.

As soon as you enter the house,

you feel an overwhelming
sense of anxiety

that you're being watched,
specifically in the living room

towards the side
of the fireplace.

I've seen our cat
standing on the table

in a pouncing position,
as if she saw something.

She was fixated on the exact
same spot

in the living room
that I had felt uneasiness.

One other time,
I was up in my bedroom.

I was laying on my back in bed,

and I felt, like, a large hand
wrap around my waist

and try to pull me
out of the bed.

Probably a month
into when we moved here,

our amish neighbors
came over,

and they told us there was
an amish cemetery

under the main house
that we had taken down.

I believe that's what's behind
some of the activity

in the home,

but my house is also
on a stretch of road,

and there's a very,
very sharp curve.

We call it the deadman's curve.

the cars will go off the road.

We would hear these cars crash.

People suffer, laying out there
in the field, bleeding to death.

I would look out the window
sometimes and be like,

"what's lingering down there?"

The biggest activity is
definitely upstairs

in my bedroom.

One night, I decided to
take our full-length body mirror

and put it in front of,
like, a love seat.

When I was looking at myself,

there was the apparition
of two men behind me.

One of the men had curly hair

and was staring
directly into my eyes.

Another man's body
did not have a head.

Another time in the bedroom,

I noticed a little girl
playing around with my feet

at the end of the bed,
just looking right through me.

when I explained it to yari,

she had told me that she also
had seen this little girl.

I was coming downstairs,
and I just glanced up,

and I saw a little girl
in the corner.

She was 5, 6 years old.

I looked down, looked back up
again, and she was gone.

The scariest experience I had
here was I was coming home.

It was 3:00 in the morning.

I pulled in the driveway,

and I saw a tall black figure,

black amish-type hat.

I couldn't make out any type
of face or anything,

and it was not moving.

It was so alarming to me,

I was scared
to get out of my car.

There's times when I'm so afraid
that I am scared to live here.

It makes me very uneasy
for my family still living here,

not knowing
what is in this house

and what it's capable of.

About two nights ago,
I was laying up in bed.

I was awake and I could feel
someone,

like, blowing in my ear.

is to dig deeper

into the family's theory

that the spirits from
the victims of deadman's curve

and those buried in the rumored
amish cemetery on the property

are behind the male apparitions

and the little girl seen
in the kitchen nook corner.

to research all accident victims
who died at deadman's curve,

while steve and I have called
in a ground-penetrating

radar expert
to investigate the possibility

of an unmarked amish graveyard
on the property.

to figure out

How exactly does this work,
in the terms of seeing the voids

in the ground
and that sort of thing?

Well, what this machine is,
it's a 400-megahertz antenna.

It's sending out a pulse.

If I roll over a structure
beneath the surface,

that radar is gonna go down.
It's gonna hit it,

and it's gonna bounce
back up to the machine.

After going through

captured after
a week's investigation,

and her daughter, yari,

believe the spirits
are the car crash victims

who died at deadman's curve

and those buried
in an amish cemetery rumored

to be on their property,

to be behind all of
their paranormal occurrences.

They've seen the apparition
of a little girl

in the kitchen nook corner,

a male apparition wearing
a hat in their driveway.

It was so alarming to me.

I was scared to get
out of my car.

Two male apparitions,
one headless and one

with curly hair had been seen.

He was staring directly
into my eyes.

And jackie was grabbed
by an unseen force.

And I felt, like, a large hand

try to pull me out of the bed.

We looked into the rumor
of an amish cemetery

being on this property.

And this spot, and then you get
these two anomalies,

one over top of each other.

It mostly looks like pipes.

As the gpr only detected
two anomalies

and mainly pipes underground,
it leads us to believe

that there couldn't be an amish
cemetery on this property.

We then researched those
who lost their lives

at deadman's curve...

Chris and scott.

...As possible suspects.

And a lot of people have died
at deadman's curve,

but there were a few names
that stood out.

We used those names
during the investigation.

Is there a chris in this house?

We later came across
a possible connection

to the spirit
of the little girl.

Estella babbitt showed up
on the 1870 census record.

She was 3 years old, and then
she completely vanished

and disappeared
and wasn't on another record.

Did she die on the property?

Yeah, she did.

After investigating
all the claims...

What does this look like?

Nothing, it doesn't look
like anything.

It doesn't even show up.

So does this extra body weight

do anything to
the center of the bed?

No, nothing.

You think if I'm looking
in this mirror and it bends...

Like something warps?

We were unable to make
contact with any presence

encountered in the home.

It was quieter than I think
almost any home

we've been in
in a long, long time.

But we do have a hunch as to
what might have transpired.

Us not having really
any interaction

or any activity
made us wonder

if whatever is here is more open
to connecting with a female.

Sometimes these things tend
to be standoffish

when dealing
with male figures,

and that could be potentially
why we were really unable

to get many different
things going on.

Well, when my son
and my grandson lived here,

not much went on, either.

I mean, your son didn't have any
activity when you weren't here.

It seems to be you ladies
are either the catalyst

of why these things
are showing themselves

or the reason these things
are being manifested.-

I would also maybe encourage you
to investigate the home

with just some
female investigators

and see if there
is a difference.

I think you may find
that there is.

Even though
a male-dominated investigation

could be at the root
of why we weren't able

to make any contact
with the afterlife,

spirits also don't interact
on our time frame.

But given our investigation
and the fact

that we didn't encounter

anything threatening
on the property,

we believe the ramos family
have nothing to worry about

and can live comfortably
in their home on amish farmland,

just a stone's throw away
from deadman's curve.
