Vaccine Injection: Is it a relevant choice?

...many reactions can be seen among the citizens.

Vaccine injection is an immunization injection given to children and infants...

...when they reached a certain age to help activate their immune system.

This issue also has triggered many discussions among professionals in TV stations.

One of the discussions is featured.

So, vaccinology is an effort to manipulate weakened or dead polio antigen...

...to be given to children so that they will produce antibodies...

...to fight the virus and not get the disease.

The most popular one is a claim that mercury in MMR is the cause of autism. But, Dr Nurul...

...Japan had taken a drastic move by withdrawing the vaccine, but autism cases still exist.

What's your comment on this?

My comment on autism is that it's caused by many factors, not only one.

Toxicity is one of the factors. And toxicity can happen...

...from pregnancy, until the baby is born.

We also need to consider genetics, immunity of the baby and other factors too.

I don't pinpoint it on one cause only.

Even if the mercury is disposed, but maybe there are other antigens.

For me, vaccine is not like 'one size fits all'.

There are people who can cope with vaccines, and those who can't.

The problem is, we don't know who are in subgroups or subtypes that can't cope with vaccines.

Autism is a disease that is mostly caused by abnormal genetics.

Let say you have identical twins.

If one of them has autism, the risks for the other twin getting autism too is 90%...

...because they share the genetic material.

But for unidentical twins, the chances are lesser than 10%.

So it is something related to imperfect genetic material.

And it is not related to mercury or aluminum used in vaccines...

...because mercury has been used since 1920, and so has aluminum.

Plus, our nature contains a lot of aluminum.

Aluminum is in the 3rd place after oxygen and silicone,...

...in the list of the most available resources on Earth.

It is in our food, fruits and our plants.

So when we give injections as adjuvant, which increases the injection's ability...

...to produce antibodies. So that we'll need less injections which means less antigens used.

So, if we measure the amount of aluminum in the vaccine injection, it's only 0.8 milligram.

If your child is breastfed for 6 months, and you compare with vaccines given during the first 6 months,...

the amount of aluminum obtained by breastfeeding child is twice the amount from vaccines.

If your child is bottle-fed, the amount is 10 times higher than the amount vaccines contained.

If your child drinks soy milk, the amount of aluminum is 30 times higher.

This means, if we say that aluminum in the vaccine causes problems,...

...we can't gave our children breast milk, formula milk or soy milk either.

In USA, from 1986 until now,...

...a total of 4 billion has been given as compensation...

...to those who claimed that they experienced health problems after vaccination.

But the case is related.

Meaning that it is more to creating awareness that we want more balanced information...

...about the benefits of vaccines.

We know the benefits of it, but we also know so little about the risks behind the benefits even if it's a small risk.

The first panel, Dr Nurul Huda represents anti-vaccine side.

She has concluded that vaccine injection must be seen as a whole...

...and she also urged people to be open-minded when choosing...

...whether to accept or reject the vaccination.

While Dato' Dr Musa, a famous pediatric specialist,...

...vaccine is not only for the infants and children, but also for the adults.

Influenza virus can attack one per one million percent of those who are vaccinated...

...but for those who are not vaccinated, the probability is 17 times higher.

Vaccination is very important to protect a person and people close to them.

So, it is very important for us doctors and medical practitioners...

...to make sure that everyone has received the injection to protect them from fatal diseases.

Why do we need vaccination?

Immunization can save your children.

Before vaccine is found, children would always be attacked by fatal diseases such as...

...whooping cough, polio and measles...

...but the number of deaths caused by the diseases decrease to nearly zero percent after vaccine is found.

Vaccination not only protects your family, it also helps to prevent diseases from spreading into the community.

This is due to the fact that most of the diseases prevented by vaccines are contagious diseases...

...for example, pertussis or whooping cough and meningitis.

So, with vaccine, the risk for you to get sick and spreading it to others is lower.

There are no studies proving a correlation that vaccine can cause chronic diseases or autism,...

...so the claims of anti-vaccines are false.

If you do not get vaccination, you are indirectly...

...exposing yourself to diseases such as shingles, pneumococcal diseases, influenza, HPV and Hepatitis B.

My opinion on vaccine injection...

...it is for protecting the family and our community...

...from contagious diseases. And if you know,...

...to cure these contagious illness is more expensive...

...if you compare with the cost for vaccine injection.

But, no matter what,...

...our people, the Malaysians still do not have much knowledge about vaccination.

So, the awareness should be there. If you ask me about my opinion, I think it's mainly...

... to protect ourselves and also our community from any kind of disease.

Majority of the netizens that are pro-vaccine retaliates the antivax by saying that...

... they're only seeing the risks for non-fatal illness...

... while ignoring the fatal illness, such as TB that was mentioned in Medical Mythbusters Malaysia's Facebook page.

In conclusion, the decision of accepting or declining vaccination actually lies...

... in the hands of the parents.

So, parents should make the best decision for the sake of their children's health in the future.

No, this is the first time I come here,...

...but I've already visited IKEA Damansara before.

But since that is farther, I think it's easier to come to IKEA Batu Kawan...

...and I would probably come here more frequently.

Is this your first time visiting IKEA?

Yes, this is the first time I come here since it was opened.

It's because there were too many people in the earlier weeks,...

...so I decided to just visit this place now.

Is this place strategic for you?

For me, it is really strategic,...

...since there are many development being made around here,...

...such as multinational companies, as well as affordable houses.

So I think its opening here is a good decision since more people will come here.

How about the quality of the products here?
