Here in Zootampa, we have a large group
of orangutans that right now consists of

nine individuals.

We have a very successful breeding
program.

That's our big male, Goyang, the dad of
all of these beautiful little babies.

Are you handsome, Goyang?

Goyang is excellent at representing his
gene line.

And he's a great dad, too.

There's our little mama.

The orangutan family tree is really
growing. It gets harder every year to

track of who's who.

Hi, Hadiyah. Are you hungry?

Hadiyah is expecting a new baby this
year.

Hadiyah's already had one baby, and
that's Topi. And Topi will be six years

in February.

Topi, are you ready to be a big sister?

I think she's going to be jealous.

Yeah, I think so, too. Are you excited,
Hadiyah?

Excited for more bananas.

Yeah.

She looks like she's going to pop any
day now.

An orangutan pregnancy is very similar
to a human pregnancy. It lasts about

eight and a half months or so, and so
we're nearing the end of the pregnancy

here with Hadiyah.

I think it's going to be within the next
two weeks or so we should have a new

baby. Orangutans are critically
endangered, and we're all super excited.

can't wait to meet the little boy or
little girl.

All right, Hadiyah.

Good morning, Hadiyah.

We've been doing ultrasounds just to
make sure that the fetus is growing and

moving and looking really healthy and
make sure she's doing well as well.

Hello. How are you doing?

I'm the primary trainer on working with
Hadiyah to get her to participate in

ultrasounds. So it's been a really,
really rewarding experience. I feel like

have a really good relationship with
Hadiyah. Up here.

Good girl.

The first step is to get her just to
present her belly.

You ready?

Belly?

Go ahead.

From there, it's just desensitizing her
to the feeling of the gel on her belly

and then also us moving the probe
around.

Very nice.

We try to make all of these behaviors
with the orangutans voluntary. If they

choose to walk away at any point, that's
totally up to them.

Good job, best friend.

The number one thing that we are looking
for at this stage with how big the baby

is, is looking for the heartbeat. Make
sure it looks steady. Make sure it looks

strong. We also look for movement of the
baby.

Look at him bouncing around in there.

Whoa.

You've got a good heart rate.

Good idea.

I've got good views of the heart and the
chest, but the head is really tilted

down in here. Gotcha. I also look for
the position of the baby because we want

to make sure that as we get closer to
her giving birth that the baby is in the

right position.

Arms and things are moving, so
everything still looks really good.

She says, mmm, dessert.

Yep. She looks so pregnant.

I know.

Today went really well, and it might
actually be the last ultrasound that we

with Adia because she's getting closer
to her birth window.

When are you going to have this baby?

I'm crazy.

We love our babies here at Zoo Tampa. We
love to celebrate when they're born and

then every year after that on their
birthday.

You guys are just joining us. Our
penguins are not out right now. Our

Muffin, is turning one years old today,
so we are setting up a surprise birthday

party. Muffin is one of our African
penguins that graduated from penguin

a year ago, and we're super excited to
be celebrating her first birthday today.

We have a big beach party themed
birthday plan for Muffin. We're going to

her sand castles. We're going to blow
bubbles.

I hope they find this as fun as we do.

Hey, do you guys have any questions
about penguins?

Are they not going to be too hard for
you?

Great question. African penguins are
actually found on the sandy beaches of

Africa. So they are beach penguins, not
snow penguins.

The party starts now.

I love doing a return from the penguins.
It's super fun to watch them chase

things, chase different lights, chase
the bubbles.

pretty special because she actually
wasn't raised by the parents that laid

She was incubated and raised by a
different pair.

Rocky and Thumbelina are really
fantastic parents.

So we actually gave her egg to them to
hatch out and to raise.

These penguins have never been more
surprised.

Yeah. They're coming for those bubbles.

A Malayan sun bear is the smallest
species of bear in the world.

We do have one here at the zoo. You want
some snack?

I've been with Casey since he came here,
which is about two and a half years

ago, and he is such a pleasure to work
with.

You ready for a training session?

look at his teeth.

Sounds like a plan.

Casey is getting older. He is 20 years
old, which is pretty much at the top end

of their lifespan.

Hello. Mr. Bear.

What are you doing?

Can I give you some snacks?

We're starting to see him slow down,
which is what you can expect from a

old bear.

Can I see those teeth?

What about down here?

That's just a lot of tongue.

The biggest thing that we're facing is
his teeth are not so great at his old

age. Can I see this one?

Yeah, those top teeth look good. They
do.

In case he does know an open mouth
behavior, we utilize it regularly to

his teeth as much as we can.

So are you able to get a better look at
that canine right now?

There's definitely like a dark spot
right in the center of it, and it's

definitely like yellowish, brownish
color, so not ideal.

Good boy.

Whenever you look at that lower left
canine tooth, you can tell it's been

through some stuff. What we noticed
recently was that he was starting to

one side of his mouth and licking more
things than chewing them.

Your big tongue's in the way.

Casey has a dentist appointment coming
up, and we are hoping to get a really

good look at that tooth.

If he has an infection, it can actually
spread to other parts of his body, and

that's dangerous since he's more of a
geriatric there.

Are you scared to go to the dentist?

You shouldn't be.

Tomorrow I'm really hoping that there is
a definitive answer. And hopefully all

the other teeth look good. Oh my gosh, I
can't get over how cute you are. I hope

Casey lives forever. I always tell him
as a 20 -year -old bear he doesn't look

day over 10.

I can't imagine the zoo without Casey
Bear.

It's going to be an early morning. Yes,
it is.

In the Florida area of our zoo, a lot of
noise is happening these days.

A lot of construction all over, getting
ready to open up our new habitat.

It's very exciting for us.

Our goal with Florida Wilds is we want
to be immersive in the best way that we

can.

A lot of people don't know and
understand that we have all this amazing

here in the state of Florida, and many
animals here are actually in trouble and

in danger.

With our expansion of Florida Wilds, we
have a new yard for our three red wolf

brothers. So today, they're going to be
moving to their new yard.

Red wolves used to be all along the
southern east coast of the United

We used to have them right here in
Florida.

Unfortunately, there's a very, very
small population that's left in the

and that's in North Carolina, and that's
less than 20.

So we really want to continue to
contribute to this population and help

this species.

They're a species that not a lot of
people know about, but that really,

need our help.

Good morning, wolves.

It's moving day.

Give me time to go to your new habitat.

We have three red wolf siblings.

They're three males, Bewley, Reddington,
and Connor.

They were born here at Zoo Tampa about
four years ago.

Their sister, Boca, was transferred to
North Carolina about two years ago as

part of the Species Survival Program.

We have two kennels set up.

We're hopeful that we can kind of just
go in the yard and have them run in, and

hopefully they'll separate.

Our program with the red wolves is to
ultimately re -release these animals

into the wild.

These animals are a little bit more
standoffish, and that's how we want

want them to stay a little bit wild.

So we have to keep that in mind when we
go in to move them.

You guys going in the yard then?

Sure. Okay.

They like to tuck into small places.

So it's worked out really well for us
that we're able to set up kennels.

all right. And walk towards them. They
want to run away, as they would, because

they are exhibiting that wild behavior.

You guys got to go.

You're all right.

I've got one in a kennel.

Kelly, you can close that gate.

He's in a kennel.

All right, two down, one to go. You're
all right, buddy.

All right, I'm coming in. I'm going to
close the door behind you.

Good boy, Yuli.

Good boy.

So one by one, they did go into their
kennel.

Yuli can stay for now.

Lately, Yuli, we've been seeing signs of
kind of irritation in his right eye.

We've seen him kind of rub it
constantly, sometimes itch it along the

line. We've also seen that it's starting
to swell a little bit.

We're going to utilize this opportunity
to have our vet staff check out Yuli

since we don't usually get the chance to
see him up close.

So Yuli has a history of pretty severe
allergies, but these last couple of

months he's had eye discharge.

Just so everyone else knows, the drugs
that we're using are not full

anesthetics. They are sedatives. So if
anyone makes a loud noise, it is

for him to wake up. So please be as
quiet as possible. No one wants a wolf

jumping up right now.

We're using this opportunity to get
hands on him, anesthetize him, and make

so that I can get a closer look at his
eye.

I can get his shoulder right here as
long as you feel like it's secure.

Okay. For Yuli, because he was already
in a crate.

And good job, kiddo.

I was able to give an injection with my
hand rather than having to do a dart.

All right.

He just keeps breath holding, and then
he starts breathing, so we'll just keep

close eye on it.

The first thing that I'm going to do is
just get a closer look at Julie's eye,

making sure that there's nothing stuck
in the eye, making sure that there's no

trauma there, anything like that.

I'm going to run a couple of
ophthalmologic tests. So these are tests

how well the eye is actually working.

Do you see how inflamed all of this is
down here?

The first thing that I'm seeing with
Yuli is that his eye is very inflamed.

everything about it is swollen. It's
red. It looks very uncomfortable.

The tissue underneath the lower lid has
swelled to the point that's causing his

lower lid to curl inward.

He definitely has had, like, chronic
irritation. I don't see a foreign body

here. He does have decreased tear
production on this side as well. All

Yeah.

He'd look good.

Okay, so let's get butt in first. I've
got his head.

I'm going to put him on a series of
medication to kind of reduce the

inflammation. Oh, there's your eye.

Beyond the inflammation in the eye, he
looks really great, and he is just fine

to move to his new home.

We have a lot of really fun, interesting
things in this new habitat for them.

Where am I?

We are really excited to see them try it
out and see what they think.

Well, here is Frank, and Frank is a
what?

Armadillo. An armadillo, and more
specifically, a nine -banded armadillo.

guys. If you're here for the tortoise
encounter, if you want to just follow me

We have two Galapagos tortoises.

This is Winston and this is Crystal.

You're adorable.

Although Winston and Crystal are both
Galapagos tortoises, they are two

different species. So they originated
from two different islands.

Crystal is a Santa Cruz Galapagos
tortoise. She is about 21 years old. So

still fairly young.

Winston, he is our 500 -pound male
iguana cove Galapagos tortoise. He is

in his 80s. He's so big. He's so big.
He's 500 pounds.

Such a calm gentleman, you know.

And Crystal's very excited to meet you
guys.

Crystal is my favorite animal in the
world. Doesn't she have a pretty shell?

Sometimes I'll be across the yard
working on something, and she will see

beeline straight to me, and she will
basically follow me around until I sit

and give her some pets.

Crystal is about to start a really big
journey. She's part of our species

survival plan.

Actually, at the end of this week, she
will be going to Miami Zoo.

Uh -oh. She's considered genetically
valuable.

We have a nice male lined up for her at
Miami Zoo, and hopefully they can get a

viable clutch of eggs and continue their
species.

It's bittersweet.

I'm going to miss her a lot.

I will say I'm a little bit in denial
that she's leaving.

Oh, she's such a good girl.

I am the newest vet. I just started
about five months ago, and it is

a very busy place.

We have a lot of animals, and we provide
top -notch care here.

I've always been very interested in the
behavioral side of animal care. Animals

can't tell us how they feel, so we have
to find other ways to understand them.

All right, kiddo, what do you think?

I'm just going to grab you, okay?

A really unique opportunity that I had
at my first internship in the zoological

field was to go to Indonesian Borneo and
work with Bornean orangutans in their

free -ranging habitat.

So seeing the little ones here playing
around, especially together, definitely

reminds me of what we would see at the
sanctuary.

I think my favorite part about being a
vet is a little bit cliche, but it's

I get to help animals.

Being able to work with a lot of these
animals and make sure that not only is

their physical body healthy, but also
their mind is healthy and that they are

happy and thriving in their homes.

Oh, what a good boy!

Today, Casey the sun bear is going to
come to the hospital for a dental exam

potentially an extraction.

I increased the amount a little bit so
that hopefully he goes down immediately.

But he is a bear, so, you know, just
keep that in mind. We might have to give

him a little bit extra.

We're ready for you. Perfect. I will get
set.

Hopefully everything goes well. We have
everything ready that we need to, so it

should be easy.

Knock on everything will go well.

I love Casey so much. It's a little
nerve -wracking whenever we put an

under anesthesia. There's a lot of
things that could happen through that

process. So I'm just wishing for the
best.

I'm really nervous going into this
procedure just because he is an older

know that this is the best thing for
him.

Asia to Animal Duty.

Transporting our sun bear from Asia's
surface area to hospital.

Since he's immobilized, it's really
important that we move cautiously but

swiftly at the same time.

All right, let's get him over.

That way we are on time with everything
and we don't have to administer any more

medications than we have to. All right,
can you do lateral?

Kelly, you want to do it?

Let's get some x -rays first and we'll
see what it looks like.

Casey is considered a geriatric animal,
so he's gotten to the point where his

teeth have kind of worn out, even though
he's still kicking.

Yeah, you can see pocketing around the
root down here.

I'm concerned right now about an active
infection in his bottom left canine.

Yeah, that looks very suspicious.

It seems as though it's most likely
isolated to the tooth area, but if we

do something about it now, it can
definitely spread.

Okay, I think we're going to have to go
for the canine.

Bears have gigantic canines. I'm
anticipating this procedure to take a

time.

We're getting there.

We always give the husbandry staff and
the caretakers the option to stay

during a lot of these procedures.

Hold his hand.

He's dreamed of this day.

You can definitely see how much Casey is
loved by his caretakers. Going to the

dentist with a sun bear is pretty crazy.

Will you confirm that heart rate for me?

I am really obsessed with this bear.
He's just so sweet, and he's really

important to us, and we just want the
best for him.

40? Okay.

We've been working on this one tooth for
about an hour and 10 minutes. Oh, my

God.

to know how big that tooth really is.

So this is the patient's part of
extracting a tooth.

It looks like I'm not doing anything,
but what you need to do is put just

firm, consistent pressure in almost a
torquing motion, and what that does is

stretches the connective tissue that
holds the teeth in.

If you try and do this too fast, you're
going to either break the tooth, break

the mandible, or break your tool.

She's just incredibly strong working on
that, but so delicate enough not to

break his jaw. It's almost an art form.

You don't see this sport in the
Olympics.

Come on, tooth.

No.

Finally,

I have the tooth out.

So something got trapped in there. It's
been brewing probably for quite a while.

This is definitely the root of our
problem.

Just want to make sure that we're not
leaving anything behind.

Yikes. Oh, that smells horrible.

Smells like success.

I think it's all gone.

All of the infection is out, so it's a
huge relief, and we're going to be able

to close that gum up and get him on his
way.

Your mouth is going to taste awful, man.

This was absolutely something that
needed to happen for him, and if we had

that untreated, that infection would
have spread to his bone and potentially

the rest of his body.

Let's do it.

And we're rolling.

We're going to bring Casey back to his
area and get him reversed from the

immobilization. Asia to Animal Duty.

Transporting Sun Bear from hospital to
Asia.

Casey has a lot of recovering to do.

He's going to have to kind of feel
around in his mouth and see that

going to be a little bit different for
him. Good job, buddy.

Casey's going to be on oral antibiotics
and oral pain medication. He's also

going to be on a pretty soft diet until
that gum heals from the incision. And

we're going to just watch him and make
sure that everything looks okay.

I'm so excited to see Casey waking up.

She had you on some good stuff.

We're getting you some good pain meds
tonight, too.

Orangutans are fascinating because
they're a great ape. They remind us so

of ourselves.

They have this amazing cognitive
ability, which allows them to problem

They can make tools. They have a great
memory.

She tried to just, like, suck everything
up, and she's like, I'll just eat it

all really fast.

Our orangutans have their own individual
personalities, so any time that we can

do observational studies, it's really
important. It gives us more information,

not only for our troop, but also for
orangutans in general.

I'm sure they're going to like it. We're
going to hang it up over there where

that green triangle is.

If there are times where they seem more
active, maybe that's where we do more

interaction, more enrichment with them.
So really identifying what it is that

they do so that we can give them what
they need.

Go play in that.

Maybe she's a little more comfortable
going in it over the sand pit like we

were. Yeah, maybe.

Honestly,

anytime you're hanging out around the
orangutans, it's fun. We have so many

so many different ages.

They're always having a good time, a
little bit chaotic at times, but we

couldn't ask for anything better.

As the time's getting closer and closer
for Hadiyah's baby to be born, we've

been keeping an extra close eye on her.
We have cameras with night vision set up

in the Eregatan night house so that we
can do 24 -hour observations on Hadiyah.

You never know what's going to happen,
and we want to be prepared.

So, a lot of activity in front of the
orangutan habitat today.

A retail employee called during lunch to
let us know that a guest

got some footage of one of the monkeys
acting weird.

Obviously, orangutans are not monkeys.
They're great apes. But immediately, we

thought that that could be Hadiyah
because she could give birth any day

We ran over there and saw Hadiyah was
about to give birth pretty much any

minute.

Moving. What a good girl!

Maybe she's having a snack.

We were lucky enough that we got there
just before she gave birth.

Hadiyah knew exactly what to do. She's a
second -time mom. She went right down

to the corner of the habitat, buy some
palm fronds. Good girl!

Her mom, Josie, was with Hadiyah.

She seemed to be acting pretty much as a
midwife.

Then she gave birth.

Look at her baby.

I'm so proud of her.

We've closed off the area to give her
privacy and give her a quiet time to

with the baby.

Aside from her mom, Josie, we have the
other orangutans inside for now, and so

we are just going to observe from a
distance and keep the area quiet.

She chose to give birth out on habitat,
so it makes it a little bit more

challenging for us because we don't have
as great of a visual as we would like

to. If she was inside, she'd be a lot
closer to us.

The first immediate things that we want
to look for are, is the baby breathing?

Is the baby responsive?

Is mom doing what she's supposed to do
to stimulate the baby?

It looks like the head's kind of under
her arm a little bit right now.

We want to make sure she's strong, make
sure she's getting up, make sure that

she is in position for nursing.

Good girl. She's attentive.

We hear the baby. That's a really good
sign. That means that baby is breathing

and moving around.

Oh, my God.

Hadiyah looks good.

We're so excited. It's so amazing to sit
and watch her with her baby.

It's so cute.

It's one of those things where you
watch, you know, as mom goes through the

pregnancy, we're watching ultrasound,
and then to see it in front of you, it's

really awesome experience.

That's got to be a girl.

I have seen...

I think six or seven orangutan babies
born here at Zoo Tampa, and it's super

exciting every time.

Oh, it has a cute face.

Just relax, Hadiyah.

Tophie, come!

So Josie has decided to go inside, and
we have given Tophie, who is Hadiyah's

daughter, access out to the habitat.

She's like, what the heck's happening?

Tophie is Hadiyah's five -year -old
daughter. She is a little smarty pants.

Soapy comes out. She's really confident.
She's kind of strutting across the

habitat. And then she hears the baby cry
and she freezes.

What was that, Tobe? She stays pretty
still for about a minute, trying to

out what's going on with that new baby.

Sophie's going to be probably a little
jealous because up until today, she's

always shared Hadiyah's nest at night.
And so I think tonight will be the first

night she has to make her own nest and
sleep by herself. So she's going to have

a little adjusting to do.

What are you doing, Hadiyah?

Don't be nesting out here, Hadiyah.

Hopefully, Hadiyah makes the decision to
come inside.

But she's kind of blowing us off right
now, which is totally to be expected.

Right now is a really, really important
milestone where she's holding the baby

and she's bonding with that newborn.

Good job, Hadiyah.

So we're kind of just watching her, and
we're taking cues from her.

He is excited.

Reddington, Connor, and Yuli have been
adjusting incredibly well to their new

habitat, better than I even thought,
especially with some of the noise with

construction happening.

They're really back to kind of their old
selves, how they were in the other

habitat.

I received our two medications for Yuli
from our vet staff, so we're going to

get these started today.

It seems to be allergy -related for
Yuli's eye.

We're going to go ahead and just stick
with some kind of antihistamines for him

and a little bit of a steroid just to
start.

I'm going to hide the pills inside his
food. I'm going to start with making a

meatball. Meat is something that he's
used to. He takes it all the time, so

hoping to disguise it.

I think I got what I need.

Hey, Uli.

Since he looks like he's ready, I'm
going to put his meds in his meatball.

He's a red wolf. He should be a little
bit more shy like his cohabs, but it

definitely works a little bit in our
favor because we need to get him meds.

There's one meatball with meds.

Good job.

Second meatball.

Looks like he could really care less
that there was anything in there. So if

that trend continues, I think we're
going to get him the medication that he

needs to really help his eye. There you
go.

It's nice. This habitat allows them a
lot of cover.

They don't have to be up front if they
don't want to, if any noises are scaring

them. They also have their den box in
the middle of the habitat, so that

provides a place for them to kind of get
away. But they've done extremely well.

Hadiyah? Hadiyah doesn't seem to be the
least bit inclined to move inside.

The bad thing about Hidia being outside
is that tonight it's supposed to get

pretty chilly for here in Florida.

These orangutans are from the rainforest
where it's hot and steamy.

It's going to be 54 below it says.

We're trying to encourage Hidia to come
inside.

We're offering her some of her favorite
snacks.

And giving her some verbal cues like,
hey, you want to come in? You want a

peanut?

Hi, pretty.

We usually try to have them in a nice
warm den so that we have a very nice,

controlled and safe situation. And if we
need to intervene, we can.

But the biggest challenge here is if
something goes wrong, we may have a

bit of a difficult time to get to her.

So we're going to give her some bedding.

That way she's able to be nice and
comfortable with her kid.

I'm going to pick out some nice soft
blankets for her that she can stay nice

cozy in.

As far as to get dark, it's going to get
cooler. And right now, Hadiyah seems

like she's going to camp out outside for
a while. If she decides to go inside,

that's fine. But if not, we're going to
just give her lots of bedding and make

sure she's nice and comfortable out
here. That's a nice big fleece blanket.

and things to cover up with when it

And she's out. It would be easier if she

where it happened, and so we're going to

And when it started to get pretty
chilly, Hadiyah wrapped up in her

I was really relieved when she did come

I was able to get a real close -up look
for her and the baby and able to see

that they were both doing really well.

Baby looks really bright -eyed. She sure

This new little girl is beautiful, of
course.

She looks very bright -eyed to just be a
few hours old. Still clinging really

tightly, definitely nursing today, and
Hadiyah looks good. We're really happy

with everything we're seeing so far.

I'm taking up my mom's space.

Well, I'm really... I'm really pleased
with the way mom and baby look this

morning. Everybody looks great. That's a

because they are dwindling in the wild.

So Crystal going to the zoo and
hopefully eventually getting a clutch of

that's a huge win for Galapagos
tortoises, especially Santa Cruz

tortoises. So I'm super proud of her.

How's Casey doing?

He's doing really well. He's off of all
of his medications besides his little

joint supplements.

Casey has recovered really well from his
dental surgery. He's pretty much 100%.

The only modification we had to do in
his lifestyle is to soften his food a

little bit.

Well, I haven't seen him in a little
bit, so I'm excited to see how he does.

too.

So even though we have to soften his
food, it can still be a lot of fun. So

we're hoping to set up a soft food
scavenger hunt on Habitat.

I am spreading some peanut butter for
him to just work out on the PT poles,

his tongue workout in.

These are some bear biscuits. We
obviously soaked them in some water so

really super mushy right now. That way
he doesn't really have to chew on them

and it's a lot easier for him to eat.

It is soft food only now for Casey until
he is nice and healed. We're hoping

that he just climbs all over the place,
gets really excited about his food, and

just interacts with all of it and eats
it all up.

which is really promising to see, and
we're really excited to have Casey back.

Construction's coming along nicely. It
is. We're in final phase. It's moving

along.

Today is three weeks for Yuli on
medication.

We've gotten a couple of picture
updates, and he's looking really good.

I'm going to go ahead and look at him
with some binoculars and make sure that

looks okay.

He's like a brand -new wolf. I know.

I have not seen, like, any reaction to
lighting or, like, bright sunlight.

Okay, great. Just kept it open.

Yeah. So it seems like this is probably
just secondary to his seasonal

allergies, and it just got a little bit
out of control.

We were able to put him on a series of
medications to reduce the inflammation

and calm his immune system down a little
bit. He had an amazing response to it.

I think at this point we can try to
start decreasing one of those

Their move went well. His eye is looking

especially to learn about the critically

endangered red wool.

She had pups?

Hopefully soon, but she was actually

I got a little goosey. Look at her
little floppy ears still.

We just found out that Boca, the female
red wolf pup from our litter years ago,

was released into the wild in North
Carolina.

It's kind of hard to believe actually
that like one of our goals was to

make like a legitimate contribution to
the wild population.

Our team couldn't be more ecstatic. This
just goes to show that we are

successfully contributing to this
population.

I'm happy that we were able to move them
over here. It gives us more space for

another breeding pair, for potential
future pups that continue to contribute

that population.

They're an amazing animal. Look at that
cuteness.

Of course. The whole family except for
Gojo's up there.

And Hadiyah and Baby.

So a few weeks ago, Hadiyah had her
little baby girl on Habitat.

And Hadiyah and Baby have been doing so
well together.

Look at that hair.

It's starting to get a little mohawk.

Hadiyah has just been such a great mom
this time around. And just a few weeks

old, baby's very alert and definitely
watching the other kids when they're

playing close by. So everything's going
great.

Good, good. It's great seeing the baby
out. Yeah. I wanted to get with Jane and

see how things were going. It is
definitely one of the animals that...

Every time I'm walking through the park,
I make sure I always peek in because

they're always doing something that will
captivate you for five minutes.

Toby's been checking her out. They're
getting along well so far.

Toby's being a very respectful big
sister. She's definitely interested in

baby. And Hadiyah has let her touch and
smell the baby a few times. But she's

giving Hadiyah her space and not being
obnoxious about touching the baby.

And this baby has three generations of a
family there. So if mom's not paying

attention to Grandma Josie, he's always
right there. That's awesome, isn't it?

Yep. Zoo Tampa may have one of the best
orang groups in the country. I may be a

little biased, but, you know, we have 10
animals. We have great age dynamics.

Everybody gets along really well
together.

And so to see, you know, brothers and
sisters of different ages playing with

each other, it's great to see.

To be able to see the baby really does
make the day.

And then you see them grow up to be
knuckleheads.
