Les Paul. So, I mean, it's a custom. The

have more switches.

It's just everything's laid out
different than a normal Les Paul.

I mean, it's in great shape. It's
obviously been played.

And you think it might have been his?

It could be. I mean, I'm hoping that's
why it has his name on it.

I am so excited to see which guitar it
could be, and I'm praying to God it's

one I'm hoping, because I lost one years
ago that meant the world to me.

Hopefully it's it.

Do you recognize this? Was this like a
limited edition or?

I could recognize this guitar a mile
away. This right here is the Holy Grail.

Amazing.

There's only one of these made in the
world.

It's crazy, Rick. This thing went
missing years ago, and I always wondered

happened to it. This was the prototype,
and then once we locked in on this

design, Gibson only made 100 of them. I
actually played it on some of the

records. on 6 a .m. and a lot with Guns
N' Roses. This is really cool.

The weird thing when I joined Guns N'
Roses is playing a Les Paul.

Obviously, it's the right guitar for the
sound of the band.

But I could never get used to the two
-volume knobs, so I had them take one

So there's only one volume, two tones,
and I put a kill switch in here and

the three -way down here because it just
felt more comfortable to me. Okay.

That's awesome. This is the real deal.

And it's funny because they put my name
on it, but it's upside down. They

printed it upside down, which is kind of
funny.

Okay. Do you want it back?

It's a really special guitar.

I would love to have it back.

If I can get it off her for a decent
price, you can just pay me whatever. I

would love that.

mean, your guitars go for, like, $20

I recently got a tip about some of the
items discovered at the Formosa Cafe

coming up for sale.

This restaurant has been a Hollywood
staple since the 1940s and has been

frequented by many celebrities.

So I took the opportunity to make the
trip to L .A. to see what they have.

Hey, thank you. I mean, right off the
bat, you guys have amazing drinks.

Glad you enjoy it. What can you tell me
about this place?

It's kind of a Hollywood museum.

It opened in 1939 as La Formosa.

All the celebrities would spend time
here, including the directors, and a lot

deals were made here, especially in the
golden era of the 30s, 40s, and 50s.

Marilyn Monroe had her own booth. Elvis
had his own booth.

James Dean, John Wayne.

Yeah, I bet there's a lot of cool
stories in here.

Yeah, we could go on for days.

We did a full restoration on it.

During the restoration, there was too
much stuff that had been in storage,

is why I called you.

Well, let's go see what you got here for
me to look at. Okay, let's do it.

This is what we have here?

Yeah, here's some of the stuff that I
pulled out.

So what is this Aloha shirt here?

This is neat. And like I said, you know,
didn't know where each one of these

pieces came from, right? For all we
know, this could have been worn by Don

Vintage Hawaiian shirts are cool and
they're collectible because, especially

now... People want, like, the original
stuff, you know? A lot of people don't

want to go to the store and buy the
regular Aloha shirt to wear. And I see

souvenir jackets over here. These are
really cool.

American soldiers stationed in the
Pacific after World War II would have

these. It was kind of a souvenir, hence
the term souvenir jacket.

And they would wear them, but they would
also bring them back to America and

give them out as gifts, and people loved
them.

What prices are you asking for for
everything?

I mean, I did a little research.

You know, I think this jumpsuit would
probably be around $1 ,500.

The Aloha shirt, since we didn't know
what famous actor wore it, you know,

$250. I have heard that the souvenir
Japanese jackets are very popular and

collectible. You know, maybe $2 ,200 for
the pair.

I don't think your prices are far off on
some of them, but I don't really know

to be exactly sure.

I'd like to have someone come down, take
a look at this stuff, and make sure

it's authentic vintage stuff. Give me a
few minutes, and I'll get them down

I'm in Los Angeles at the iconic Formosa
Cafe.

The owner has many vintage items that
have been in the restaurant for years,

he's selling some of the items. And he's
asking top dollar.

I'm having our vintage expert, Bob
Chapp, meet me down here to tell me what

of these things are worth. And
hopefully, I'll be able to scoop up some

classic collection.

Let's start with the jackets right there
by you.

What you've got, a couple of really nice
1950s reversible Japan jackets called

Tsukajins is one of the names they call
them. This is a total classic, early to

mid -50s, having a torii gate and a
dragon.

And then this is a tiger inside.

You don't see that on a Japan jacket
very often.

I mean, these are great jackets.

Okay, and then we got this Aloha shirt
here.

What do you think of that? I thought it
was pretty cool.

That is a great shirt.

All these images, this is out of the
1966 movie Endless Summer.

So the most iconic surf film ever.

And when they did these pop art type
Hawaiian shirts, it was not unusual to

Endless Summer images.

It looks like they put a cool effect on
the images.

Exactly. And then this is pretty cool,
too.

Oh, great early coverall.

No. And it's stronghold. I thought that
was really cool, right?

You know, nine times out of ten, the tag
is worn out. You can't read it, and I

don't think you can ask for anything
better.

All right, well, let's get a value on
everything.

Let's start with the jackets. What could
we value those at individually?

You know, the one on your right here
with the torii gate, the dragon, the

tiger inside, I think that would be an
easy $1 ,200 today. This one, you know,

What about the Aloha shirt here?

God, that one's great.

It's got so many things going for it.
It's got the pop culture. It's got the

endless summer.

That shirt should be $350.

And then the coverall here.

The fact that the tag is so legible. The
fact that it's in such amazing

condition. I think realistically, $2

Steiner Sports memorabilia. I don't

There's a limited edition of 500, so
obviously Steiner Sports lined up 500

helmets and eventually got them all to
sign them, which is really cool. I mean,

it's the Heisman Trophy.

So the Heisman Memorial Trophy is for
the most outstanding player in college

football. It's given out right before
the bowl games. It's a big deal. You

what the original name of the Heisman
Trophy was?

No idea.

The trophy started out as the Downtown
Athletic Club Trophy. It was an athletic

club in New York. I think it started in
1935. A year after they came out with

the trophy, the director of the Downtown
Athletic Club passed away. His last

name was Heisman. So they renamed the
trophy the Heisman Trophy.

So how much do you want for this thing?

I'm trying to get $800.

Sounds like it's probably a decent
number. Not only is it college football,

also NFL.

I mean, you got both of them there.
There's a ton of people that wouldn't

to collect this thing. My problem is...

Supposedly 28 Heisman Trophy winners.

Signatures everywhere.

When I think of Heisman winners, there's
so many great ones, like Paul Hornick,

Marcus Allen, Desmond Howard. He ended
up doing the Heisman pose right before

the end of the season in a game, and you
still see it in the highlight reels all

the time. And he ended up winning the
Heisman that year.

He's got a cert here, but it's from
Steiner, which is out of business,

Yeah, they're no longer around anymore.
They used to do signings and stuff like

that, but they kind of went out of
business years ago. So the thing is, are

the signatures legit? Well, let's take a
look at them.

One of the most prominent running backs
of all time is Barry Sanders.

Nice signature.

See that same S in there? It almost is
identical to that. Jay Berwanger is the

first Heisman winner. And Jay's a little
older here, but really nice signature.

For many years, a great Raiders
quarterback, Jim Plunkett. Same way

these Ts.

So all the signatures are legit?

Yeah, absolutely.

So what do you think it's worth?

Quite honestly, you're seeing some
fading. If you take a look here, Rick,

could kind of see it for yourself.

It looks like there's been some maybe
direct sunlight on it for a couple years

here and there, and I would estimate
this was probably done about 15 years

I would put the value of this, Rick,
right about $2 ,500.

money with the Lindsey Buckingham. And
unfortunately, his signature's not on

there. But you've got Stevie Nicks, John

Huge autograph on that. I definitely put
it sometime signed in probably like the

late 80s, early 90s.

I find him to be kind of a more
reclusive signer now the last few years.

terms of collectability for him, it's
like solid gold.

That is a great piece to have signed by.

Okay. So what do you think they're worth
a piece?

On the value, the Elton John is worth
about $500.

The Fleetwood Mac, you know, it's got a
lot going on on it. It's a very nice

piece. But I'd still put that value
right at about $800.

If you had Lindsey on there, I think it
would add a lot more value.

from a memorabilia standpoint.

Yes, sir. Two of my favorite albums.

Oh. Sir Elton John and Fleetwood Mac.
We're in the 70s.

I already shot some pictures over to

know what the albums could be like.

This is probably two of the biggest
selling albums of all time.

Probably both of them in the ten times
platinum status.

Mind you, I grew up in the 90s.

Tell me a little bit about Fleetwood
Mac.

English band.

And the name was originally Peter
Green's Fleetwood Mac.

They dropped Peter Green's name when
he'd left the band.

They were just another band from England
until they moved out to California and

hooked up with Buckingham and Nicks.

And two albums, Fleetwood Mac and
Fleetwood Mac Rumors, just exploded.

the biggest thing in 76 and 77.

Okay. So Elton John over here, 300
million albums, sold his career?

Elton... He started in like 1970 or so.
He was a star almost immediately and

then all through the 70s.

This is a very, very common album. If
somebody's going backstage to get an

autograph from Elton John, they take
this album.

So this was the heyday of FM radio.

The first track on that, Funeral for a
Friend, 11 minutes.

Oh, wow. I think it's an opportunity for
the DJ to go and have a smoke.

For sure.

So what do you think they're worth?

These look like original copies, been
around the block. They're not exactly

mint.

The Elton John one, this doesn't go for
a lot because there's a lot of them. Top

price on that may be $400.

This one, I think this is a lot more
interesting because I like the

Well, you know, what you got here, these
are from a company called EFX.

They're a high -end prop replica
company.

So they got exclusive access to the
props from on camera, and what they're

to do with them is mold exact replicas
of what you would have seen on screen.

So both of these items are considered
screen accurate and highly, highly

desirable to collectors.

Okay. This is a great item for the shop
because they only made 250 of the

helmets, and they only made 250 of the
hammers.

And you know...

Whenever you have something that's
really desirable and a huge collector

like Marvel has, it's usually a recipe
for success.

So I don't know what Chum paid for them.
I hope he didn't overpay.

Well, he paid $2 ,000 for them. I've
seen individually these pieces go

$2 ,500 and $3 ,000 a piece.

With a pair, I would say you'd have no
problem in getting $6 ,000 for both of

them.

I'm looking to sell my Booker T
wrestling boots.

This is one of the most iconic wrestlers
out there.

Five -time, five -time, five -time, five
-time, five -time champion.

though he won the championship six

So this is pretty cool you're able to
get these boots.

I grew up watching wrestling. I don't
really watch it so much anymore, but I

still consider myself a fan of the old
days wrestling when I was young watching

it. Booker T started off wrestling with
his brother. They had a tag team named

the Harlem Heat. Him and his brother won
like over 10 championships as the tag

team champions.

And then in 2001, he came to the WWF,
which was later changed to the WWE, and

started his solo career.

A few years later in 2007, I believe,
Booker T won the King of the Ring, and

that's where these boots would have came
from, King Booker.

Do you have any paperwork with these?

No, I didn't get any paperwork.

I actually got these boots at a charity
auction.

My boss doesn't always like things from
a charity auction without paperwork.

But, I mean, they look pretty legit.
