patients who suffer from significant

mental illness are not violent.

They're more likely to be victims of
violent crime than to be perpetrators of

it.

because the mental health professional
who is trained to identify and manage

violent patient can put into place
processes to mitigate that violence and

ameliorate any damage to themselves, to
the patients, and to society at large.
