Who...

...are you?

What brings you here?

You disappeared all of a sudden,

...so I was worried about you.

Were you with him?

I don't think I thanked you for your present.

I felt good to see my friends after a long time.

Thank you.

Murderer.

You have a nasty tongue.

I heard everything you did to my dad.

You're done for.

You didn't kill him yourself but you caused him to die.

Even if all you said is true, you cannot...

I think somebody tapped our conversation and codded us.

Oh, yeah?

Monet.

I heard Jaewan's voice in it too.

Why do you keep feigning ignorance?

Do you really think his encounter with your father was accidental?

The one who dosed up your father regularly...

...and harbored Dr. Yoon from seeing you...

...was Jaewan.

Say something.

Am I wrong?

Stop!

Please shut your mouth.

Yes. He's right.

Poor Monet. You look shocked.

Can't you assist her right?

You...

You're...

...crazy.

Well.

Thank you, Monet.

If you want to report me to the police, go ahead.

Jaewan will accompany me to jail,

...so why would I worry?

It's been like this all the way, right?

You could've told me earlier.

He hurt you. You're hurt.

Tell me that's not true.

Then...

I'll believe you.

If he...No, I'm sure...

...that he threatened you to do that.

He gave you the stick and threatened you, so you had no choice.

Then...

...will it be forgivable?

- No, you didn't do it. - I did.

Everything is true.

I approached your father on purpose,

...I made him take medicine without fail,

...and I harbored Dr. Yoon.

I did it all.

Why?

What did my dad do to you?

There must've...

...been a reason.

I just hated him.

Without any reason?

Bastard.

I won't forgive you or Joongu Yi.

I'll report you to the police for punishment.

Police?

I got a man who took part in my father's death.

He had the cheek to seduce me and destroy my father's hotel.

Can you make him rot in jail all his life?

Please come and take him right away!

The number you have dialed is not in the directory.

Please check the number and call again.

Bella was my most beloved one.

Now I got someone I love more, so I don't need her now.

Please handle her with care.

I'm sorry.

It wasn't your fault.

I'm sorry I hurt you.

Oh no. I can't fix it.

I've broken you.

Don't die.

Please don't die.

I'm sorry.

Look. It's your boss you killed.

Now you're a murderer.

Still, do you want to go back?

Good.

You made a good choice. Come with me.

Let's go.

Wait. Let's take Juhan with us.

He isn't even your brother.

We promised to be together.

We cannot be separated.

He must go with me. I'll bring him right away.

You are dead already.

How many times should I repeat?

That's what I told him.

He'll be adopted into a good family, so don't worry.

Jayden the murderer has died.

Jaewan Cha.

That's your new name.

Take a close look.

You killed a man with this gun.

Don't forget that.

I don't think you gave her the recorder.

Who the heck did it?

Well...

I guess she knows the recording cannot be taken as evidence.

Don't worry.

Everything will be fine.

Okay.

Father, the cruelest thing you did to me is...

...not that you deceived me or threatened me.

It is that you've kept me by your side.

Give me a report on sales every morning instead of doing it weekly.

And move up the room upgrade promotion scheduled in fall.

Share your ideas on increasing sales as often as possible.

Okay. All the restaurants have family discount events this week.

Good.

Sir, if you run here, you might get hurt.

Kiddo, watch out for a man who is too kind.

Is he a bad man?

Yes. He's the most dangerous double-faced man.

Be careful.

Mom.

Ms. Ah.

I know you have hard feelings against Mr. Cha, but it's not right to...

It is to protect my client. This is Ciel.

If you're gonna hold on to that blind loyalty, go back to Las Vegas.

Are you still at a feud with her over the peer evaluation?

We might be late for the meeting.

Sit down.

It's rude that you stood up to greet the GM in my presence.

Since the meeting was called by him, I...

Report on sales, promotion ideas, report on work performance...

Is there something I shouldn't be aware of?

No.

- For the cultural events in summer... - Cultural events?

I didn't know you were interested in them.

It's a tradition of Ciel to hold...

I thought you didn't care about tradition.

You alienate teamwork by adopting the new system.

Mr. Jang, report me on staff complaints about the GM from now on.

Me?

If I do that, I'll be put in an awkward position.

Do as she tells you.

I'll listen to your admonition after the meeting.

Did you control Ciel like this when my father was in office?

Taking advantage of his health problem?

Ms. Ah, Mr. Cha's priority has always been the hotel.

No. It has been his own interest.

Listen.

I make much of the social role of Ciel.

I've arranged a charity event for this weekend.

Suan will let you know the details. Make a thorough preparation.

The meeting's over.

Aren't you gonna leave?

Do you want my resignation?

Is that what you want?

No.

What I want is to see you suffer as much as my father and I did.

You and Joongu Yi don't even deserve food in jail.

I'll keep you by my side and grind you down.

You'd feel pain if you're a human being.

Seems you're in more pain.

"Did you control Ciel like this when my father was in office?"

She launched missiles, dynamite out of her mouth!

Then nuclear bombs!

And Mr. Cha fended off her attacks in silence.

It's obvious.

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."

There's a woman.

I'm sure Mr. Cha goes out with Ms. Song.

The way they look at each other is...You know what I mean if you've loved before.

Stop making up a story.

That's how rumors start.

No, no. That's the most credible and acceptable story she's ever told.

Mr. Cha sure is...

An homme fatal who doesn't refuse or cling to women.

So called, a bad guy.

Not a bad guy. That's a bastard.

Haven't you heard anything?

Man, just like Mr. Koh said, this is how rumors start.

Mr. Cha only keeps his public life and love separate.

The two look cool to me.

What a dull viewer. Be gone. Get lost.

I'll never share my eyewitness account with you.

I was going to go first.

Okay. Be gone.

Keep being that way. Go alone.

What are you doing here?

Why did you give it to me?

You could've reported it to the police yourself.

Why did you give it to me?

Please get up.

Who do you want to accuse?

Mr. Yi who stabbed your back?

Mr. Cha who deceived you with sweet words?

Or...

...you yourself who can't do anything despite the truth?

Stop. It hurts me.

I told you not to trust anyone.

Uh oh.

You still trust him in the back of your mind.

No, I don't. I just...

I just can feel he's more hurt than I am.

I feel as if he's bleeding at my tears.

That's your illusion, a figment of your love in vain.

You haven't come to your senses yet. Go back.

Charity event?

She's wasting money instead of trying to increase sales.

Clients have regarded Ciel as a nature friendly place.

Having a casino might incur their antipathy.

We need to manage our image from going negative.

But don't you think I might look shallow?

Use your wife.

You're the husband of a well-known social worker.

And you've shown consistent love for children.

It'll be late if you hesitate more.

You think so? Then push ahead with it.

You'll see my loyalty as much as you trust me.

I've never been wavered.

What did you just say? Contract?

Yes. Mr. Seon invited Mr. Yi and Mr. Cha to his ranch.

I think they're gonna make a deal.

Are you sure?

Yes. I found out when I checked Mr. Cha's schedule.

I thought I should let you know.

Let me accompany you.

No. It's okay.

Are you uncomfortable with me around?

No. You might be in an awkward situation. I'll go alone.

You told me to tell her, knowing her reaction.

Today it somehow feels like I have two general managers.

However you change, I believe that you won't harm Ms. Ah.

And neither would she harm you.

I think we've already settled the issue.

So you're going to sell the land to Mr. Yi.

I don't understand why you put your finger in my pie.

Go back.

You can't sell the land to him.

Don't be stubborn like a child.

This isn't your hotel. Please go back.

I won't give up.

What are you doing here?

I'm working with his approval.

Do you know her?

She does good work unlike her appearance.

If you strike hands with Yi, I'm gonna breathe down your neck,

...for the rest of my life.

Be my guest.

Come and take your crazy CEO.

What are you doing here?

Let's go. Why are you doing this?

What's wrong with me doing this?

You worked part time here, too.

The owner here is a callous man.

All he cares about is money, not even his family.

Still, I must do something.

Let me help you.

Alright you guys.

Let's eat.

You're eating well.

You too. Come on, eat.

Ha. Such an ingrate.

He's smiling in front of her.

Ha. Seon has grown bold to have us come to his place.

We're the ones in need.

What the.

It's Ms. Ah.

What is she doing here? Steer past her.

Darn it.

Woohyon, what the heck are you doing?

Now you look familiar.

How proud you must be of your employee.

You can back off. Go back, Mr. Yi.

You must not do this. It's dangerous.

What do you think you're doing?

I'll call the police.

Go ahead. There are people to be arrested.

Get them out of the way.

Don't touch her!

If you lay a finger on her,

...you'll lose your son forever and roll in money all alone.

Since you're this emotional, you always cause trouble.

You may come with us if you want.

It'll be okay, right?

Well. Sure.

Please come this way.

Thanks, Woohyon. Go back before me.

I don't want you to be involved in this.

Okay.

You must win.

I'm in an awkward position since both of you want my land.

For me, instead of keeping it idle, I'd better sell it for any use.

Mr. Seon, it'll get very hard if you say like that.

Will you give it up then?

Of course not.

I'll pay $100 more per pyong. (*35.6 sq.ft.)

So money talks here.

I'll pay $300 more.

800. What do you say?

1,000.

1,300.

1,500.

2,000.

Jaewan.

We badly need that estate.

It is worth it.

2,500.

Do you even know its market value and how vast it is?

Are you going to exchange Ciel for the land?

Stop.

Let's take a break and resume rationally.

Okay.

Give it up.

You give it up.

If you go further, I'll disclose the recording.

That was Mr. Yi's drunken talk. He'll be released for lack of evidence.

Only you'll be the talk of people again.

That's why you didn't report it to the police.

Do you really think that's why I didn't do it?

I don't care.

I beg you.

I beg you, Mr. Cha.

Please stop here. If you want, I...

I refuse you the favor.

However hard you try, you can't beat us.

Unless you want to lose the hotel, back off.

Wow. I'm sparkling. Am I really Hoil Jang?

I want to plunge into the mirror.

They made an excellent choice. In all aspects, I'm a perfect emcee.

Didn't you volunteer for it?

I think you're quite aggressive towards me these days.

The charity event was abruptly scheduled, and I only took the initiative.

Look at us.

Hello. I'm NoU, a rising starlet in Korean pop music.

I like you, oppa, what do I do?

Oh my.

So sexy.

Buzz off.

Ms. Kim, I think he's head over heels about you.

- Oh? - Really?

Can you get out of my sight please?

Myongjae Seon, Myongjae Seon, Myongjae Seon!

He wants a revised contract with the adjusted amount?

How did Monet find out?

And who the heck was that concierge? Fire him!

Yes, sir.

You know Myongjae Seon. How could you raise the price?

What the heck is in your mind?

You know Monet.

If I hadn't broken her spirit, she'd have spoiled your plan.

The land will be your golden geese. Calm down.

That sly weasel.

He demands an exorbitant price.

Please relent your anger and go to bed early.

I'll come to pick you up tomorrow.

Is it well primed?

Yes.

It's all set.

- You came. - What are you doing?

You told me to call you if anything happens.

That's your illusion, a figment of your love in vain.

That's your self-imposed trust against my will.

You shouldn't have trusted me.

Don't ever trust me.

Stop.

Why?

Are you aggrieved?

Does it hurt?

If you vented your rage, go back.

Now it's your turn.

Are you crazy?

Yes, I am. I am crazy.

Just for love...

...I couldn't report my dad's murderer to the police.

Aren't I a bad daughter?

Just...

Just for a bastard like you.

You're right.

You're crazy.

You were taken in so easily.

If you got a grip, stop acing childish and go back.

You're pesky.

Bastard.

Thank you for giving me a reason to hurt you.

Yes. Make it ready as I told you.

After the show tomorrow, I'll pay you off.

Why are you alone? Where's Jaewan?

Who's that?

Is your love this weak?

You dumped him, right? I'll pick him up then.

Don't ask for him back.

Pick him up or give him up, do as you like.

I told you that you couldn't handle him.

Shut your mouth. You know nothing.

I know one thing.

It hurts my pride to say this,

...but you are the only woman he loves at his own peril.

I thought only I could see his pain.

But you not only saw it, but also gave him comfort and happiness.

That's why I gave him up to you.

Letting go your hold is worse than not holding out your hand.

Don't regret later. I won't lose him to you again.

Did the magician arrive?

Yes.

He's been waiting for you.

Are you feeling okay?

Second, Loman Lee. In major cities in the U.S., in Asia, and in Europe,

...he has extensive real estate holdings.

He's one of the major investors in Ciel your father worked with.

He's showing great interest in building a casino here.

Thank you for the other day.

In fact, I was going to call you.

On what condition would you join hands with me?

Cool down your temper first.

This is not the right place to talk about it.

How about lunch with me?

Well. This is the last one.

Would you like to do it, Mr. Cha?

People are very suspicious.

Yeah, go ahead.

It can remove their doubts.

You saw how I did it. Insert it straight in.

If I stick in like this, can it kill him?

That's dangerous.

Just insert it at a level, straight in.

Should I?

Hey, do as he tells you.

You scared me.

You did well though.

I beg you, Mr. Cha.

Please stop here. If you want, I...

I refuse you the favor.

Yes, I am. I'm crazy.

I couldn't report my father's murderer to the police just for love.

Aren't I a bad daughter?

Just for a bastard like you.

Did you look for me?

Yes.

Where have you been?

I attended the VIP breakfast meeting. Is there something you want me to do?

No.

There was...

...but not anymore.

Sorry.

Ms. Ah is with Mr. Loman Lee at Haemil.

Was it arranged in advance?

I don't think so. I think they made the appointment in private.

This is the most popular menu.

I'm not sure if it suits your taste, Ms. Ah.

I didn't know I'd get the chance to taste Haemil's food.

What brings you here?

He has an appointment with me. Have a seat please.

Monet looks serious.

Let's be frank and talk. You want a deal with me, huh?

Please tell me what I should do to have your investment.

That's a dangerous utterance, Mr. Cha.

I'm quite a competent investor.

That means, I have an eye in my head to discern...

...what can make wealth and what can't.

You're talking money too.

No.

What I make the most of is not money, but its user.

Can you speak in plain terms?

I need to know if I can trust you as the user of my money...

...in order to give you the answer.

I don't invest money in superficial passion.

Putting trust in people is so futile.

I'll show you who I am as it is.

At least I found today that you have a good appetite.

Can you take me on a tour this weekend if you're not busy?

Just staying at the hotel feels stuffy.

No problem.

Yes. I had lunch.

I'm almost there. I'm going in.

Are you looking for me?

You seem to have searched for me anxiously.

This area is not open to public except for events or training.

You're not supposed to be found here.

Is that so?

I lost the way since Ciel is vast.

Is it fun to play words with me?

It doesn't work on you.

I think you tailed me first.

Why do you approach Ms. Ah despite my warning?

It's a personal interest.

Let me give you a warning too.

I don't deal with anybody that doesn't trust me.

If you tail me or put a tail on me once again,

...our talk will stop.

Was it you, Mr. Cha?

Your noise disturbed staff training.

I'm sorry if I disturbed you.

Sir, this is a staff only area.

The exit is that way.

Excuse me.

See you again.

Long eyes, strong eyebrows, sharp nose and jaw.

He might look laid-back, but he's very accurate, smart.

A hard nut to crack. You better watch him.

Thank you.

It was unlike you to make a mistake to bring a tail.

I didn't know I was followed. Forgive me.

That's okay. Just stay alert.

Okay.

Monet is very zealous.

Judging from today,

I think she might even give up all her shares to have my investment.

She's pure, to be nice, or dense, to be brutal.

We must take her entire shares.

Sure.

Thank you.

Not at all.

Take extreme care of the children's seat arrangements and safety.

Yes, sir.

When should I start with Joongu Yi?

It's already started.

What? A magic show?

Magic.

What's this?

Miyon Baek. It's been a long time.>

What the.

Unbelievable.

Miyon is dead!

Who the heck did this?

Darn it!

The show starts in 10 minutes.

I'm not going. Go alone if you want to.

The staff members seem to have no idea.

You might want to go and encourage them.

You want me to shake my skirt at Yi's show or what?

His show may be more interesting than you think.

Mr. Cha has prepared a lot for it.

Suan, although you're an overt spy,

...don't you think you should be careful not to bring him up?

I only reported the fact as it is.

And it's your decision to make.

She's really provoking me like someone.

Are you sure you're not Jaewan's sister?

Stroking him?

What a mismatch.

Unnatural.

So awkward.

That's a flop.

Don't I look a bit too funny?

You look great.

Really?

Did you memorize your moving line?

Well, yes.

Working in harmony with me is most important.

Just relax and do as we practiced.

I'll treat you to a nice meal later.

Now the highlight of the event, Mr. Joongu Yi's magic show!

Are you ready?

Hi, I'm Magician Hyonwoo Choi. Glad to meet you.

Let me introduce you a very special magician.

Let's have a round of applause for him.

I'll kindle a fire.

The fire is burning. Take a close look.

Take a close look. We'll do magic.

Wow, candies!

I want one.

Okay, okay.

Oh, you're cute.

I see little Dabbei there.

- Really? - Take it!

Are you satisfied with candies? I know you aren't.

So, the magician prepared another special gift for you.

Say one, two, three, and you'll see amazing things come out.

Let's count together.

One, two, three!

Let's open it.

- Dolls! - Here you go.

Be careful. Be careful.

- Hey! - Are you okay?

Yes.

Oh, you're so cute.

Are you okay?

Stupid little creeps. They sprang at me all together.

My leg's hurt.

But the kids liked it.

Enough.

Only the poor little scumbags go crazy over these things.

I thought you love children.

Pesky little creatures begging for affection.

Uncivilized, dirty...

I hate them.

The beggar is their second nature.

All they're interested in is my pocket.

I'm not a beggar!

Kids, you should follow my instructions in this kind of situation.

Honey, are you the same person I've known?

Honey, what's wrong? What happened?

What's this?

Wait. You're mistaken.

Wait. It's not what you think. You're mistaken.

Wait!

Dabbei!

Dabbei! Dabbei! Dabbei!

How could this happen?

Who the heck set it up?

Subtitles provided by MBC

Boom! Like a suicide bombing.

What a shame.

How dare you!

Now the play's gonna be over.

Yes. It's not easy.

Joongu Yi won't leave you alone.

So fight. Against him or against me.

So you're dreaming of preserving this impression or tradition.

Everyone deserves a right to make happy memories.

I'll wait since I'm almost there.
