Flonyard is in the midst of a war.

A boy from Earth, Shinku Izumi, has been summoned as the Hero of Biscotti.

Upon generously agreeing to aid us, his first battle is about to begin!

Um, was that all right?

That was perfect, Princess!

THE FIRST BATTLE!

The he-

The hero has been summoned!

Only leaders of Flonyard can perform this kind of summon!

This is the first time I've witnessed it.

Indeed! It's incredible for something so rare to be happening right before us!

But Princess... he's not aware of the rules of war around here, is he?

Will he be all right?

He will be quite fine. We went over them on the way here, and Roland is making sure he remembers everything right now.

Good, it seems that you know the rules and routes pretty well.

Yes, the Princess has already informed me.

How do you feel, being summoned here so suddenly, and meeting with the Princess?

I find her to be very cute and gentle. I think she's a marvelous princess!

Wonderful!

Well then, Hero, let us advance and join Eclair on the front lines!

Yes, sir!

Shinku Izumi,

heading out!

I shall now explain the rules and confirm them with you, Hero.

Yes, please do!

Firstly, make sure to defeat every enemy you come across!

Whoa! It's really a hero!

We'd be totally awesome if we managed to defeat the Hero!

I'm going for it!

If you deal a powerful enough blow, the enemy will be knocked out!

The enemies who have been knocked out will turn into beast balls. Members of the Lion Army turn into cats.

They will be suspended for a set amount of time.

Oh, I get it!

Touching the backs or heads of your opponents will also count as a knockout!

Using this method is very risky, however a touch bonus will be given for each successful attempt.

Wha-

Wai-

What?!

H-He's...

He's so fast! I have no idea what just happened!

The score is swiftly increasing! They could make a comeback at this rate!

At any rate, this hero is definitely no ordinary warrior!

Well, of course! He is a hero, after all.

Meanwhile in Kinokawa City, Japan

You're going to be spending spring break with Shinku, right, Rebecca?

Wh-What are you talking about? We won't be together.

Really? But you're both good friends, right?

Well, it's only because our parents know each other well.

I think Izumi-kun is a pretty great guy.

Yeah, he's cute and good at sports too!

That's not true, deep down he's really just a child.

He only likes athletics, staff fighting, and other things like that.

There are various zones on the battlefield: plains, mountains, or even unstable locations such as bridges or moving platforms.

But there's nothing to worry about, should you happen to fall down.

En garde!

It's your turn to fall, Hero!

He handles himself pretty well, doesn't he?

Interesting!

I suppose it's about time to test this one.

Even though it was the Princess' decision, we really don't need a hero!

L'étoile du Vampire!

Vampire's Star!

Hero Kick!

Yo! I'm Shinku Izumi, the hero that was called in.

Eclair, captain of the Imperial Guard.

That beam just now was amazing, Eclair! Was that what I think it was?

Beam...? Do you mean the Seal Cannon?

That's it!

This is your weapon, one of Biscotti's treasures: Heavenly Sword Palladion.

It will take the shape of any weapon you wish.

A staff, then!

That seems like quite an ordinary weapon. Are you sure that's okay?

It's great. The length is perfect, too!

Lastly, I will explain how the Seal Spells work.

Seal Spells utilize the power of both Flonyard's land and sky, or the life force of Flonyard itself.

By gathering Flonyard's life force in your seal, and mixing it with your own life force...

you will be able to produce spirit energy!

Using spirit energy allows you to do many things, but you will be using the Seal Cannon most of the time.

The Princess told me that you're great at using the Seal Cannon, and that I should learn from you.

I-I see...

First, you must activate your seal.

Activate! Level one!

Use all of your might to reinforce your spell!

Level two.

Level three!

Transform your Flonyard force into spirit energy, and release it through your weapon!

That completes the Seal Cannon!

The Seal Cannon is convenient, but captains and knights that are permitted to wear armor are usually able to block it.

And most of all...

...it really drains your energy.

Consider that before using it.

Thanks! I'll do my best.

Honestly, I expected to find something worthy of my time, but in the end I suppose you're all just a bunch of the Dog Princess' pawns.

Princess Leonmitchelli!

Princess? Who is that?

Please, I'd prefer if you would refrain from addressing me by that title.

My name is Leonmitchelli Galette des Rois, the leader of the Galette Lion Army and the Knight of Beasts.

Refer to me as Your Excellency, you insolent fools!

She's arrived! Her Excellency Leonmitchelli!

She's finally arrived on the battlefield!

Her Aiki, Touma, is also as gallant as ever!

More importantly, it is time to advance further into the fort!

Hey- Wai-

You're in my way, Hero!

The same goes for you!

Oh, sorry!

You're a girl...?

You...

stupid hero!

Are they fighting amongst themselves? And is this hero really an idiot?

Fire!

Amazing! Her Excellency Leo and her Aiki, Touma, are advancing through the pole area with incredible agility!

Now we're moving toward the difficult mortar-shaped area with slippery floors!

The Biscotti soldiers are making every attempt to intercept the invaders!

They will soon reach the final defensive line. Is this where the final encounter will take place?

We'll run straight through this, Touma!

We won't let that happen!

What are you doing, Hero? Are you only here to interfere with the battle?

Y-You too! You hindered my aerial maneuv-

Lion King Round Seal!

Seal Spells can be used this way too?

We don't stand a change against Princess Leo. If you don't want to be defeated...

...just run like hell!

Tremendous Explosion!

A massive blast! Her Excellency Leonmitchelli's ultimate spell: Tremendous Explosion!

Anyone within the perimeter of this crazy Seal Spell will be knocked out for sure!

Even though our own troops suffer due to the attack...

it is still quite splendid!

Franboise, check to see if the Hero and that saggy-eared girl have died or not.

Uh, right away!

Let's see...

We won't be defeated that easily!

Isn't this a bit high? Actually, way too high?!

Th-The sky!

The Hero and the Captain remain unharmed!

However, they are now easy targets for Her Excellency Leo!

I don't exactly want to share any glory with you, but we won't get anywhere if we don't work together.

Huh?

We need to cooperate! I definitely won't miss this time!

All right.

Okay, go for it!

Here he comes!

I let my guard down, thinking you two were just a midget and a saggy-eared girl.

I don't really mind continuing like this, but it might be a bit too revealing this way.

Your Excellency, do you mean...?

Yes, I shall forfeit here.

Unbelievable! Her Excellency Leo has been defeated! There will be a 350 point bonus added for defeating the enemy's commander!

The condition for victory is the takeover of the enemy foothold, so the battle isn't over yet.

However, this point difference is impossible to overcome!

Victory for Galette is completely out of reach!

We did it!

We really did it!

Hero, although with the Captain's help, I will commend you for being able to land a hit on me.

However! Do not think that you will be able to pull off such a feat a second time.

Thank you very much, Prince-

Your Excellency.

Your Excellency!

Our battle was frightening, but I had fun!

Film crew, focus on the saggy-eared girl. You will get a great shot.

What?!

The Hero seems to have hit the Captain by accident!

Her clothing was completely lacerated!

Oh, dear...

I'll be back again.

Next time, I will be successful.

Her Excellency leaves the battlefield in a stately manner!

The next battle will be something to look forward to!

Indeed, but this battle is not yet finished.

That's right. Soldiers fighting on the front lines, please continue to do your best until it is over!

You idiot, idiot, idiot!

I said I'm sorry! It wasn't on purpose!

This hero is quite skilled and powerful, but it appears that he is still an idiot!

Leave me alone!

Also, a special thanks to Captain Eclair for the great footage!

Shut up!

If Galette had won, there would have been a sake festival. However...

At this rate, Biscotti will surely win. As such, they will earn the right to choose a victory event.

Yes. Princess Millhiore of Firianno Castle,

I presume the event will be...?

Yes. We will hold a banquet dedicated to music and singing at the Filianno Music Hall.

We already have a set list of the Princess' songs!

I didn't know the Princess could sing.

She does not simply sing!

She is one of the best singers in the entire world!

The entire world?

That's right.

You've both done very well today, Hero, Eclair.

The orchestra accompanies the Princess around the world as she performs during her foreign affairs.

Oh, I see.

But recently her tours have been pushed back, due to all of the wars going on.

It has been a while since we last heard her sing, but...

You will understand once you hear her sing.

We will save the best seat for you, as a reward for your work today.

Thank you very much!

Oh, but... I should return home, or at least contact the other side before that.

What?

We will surely be victorious thanks to our hero!

That is certainly true. I wonder, will he stay to enjoy the concert?

If he returns too late, his family will surely be worried.

What?

Once summoned, a hero cannot return to, nor contact the world they are originally from.

That is the rule of summoning.

A hero cannot return once summoned!

That is why hero summonings occurs only rarely.

Wait, you didn't know this, Princess?

Oh my! What a lovely joke...

No, it is not a joke.

Well, even still, there must be some way...

There aren't any!

What?!
