I received a call shortly after the first plane hit, which we thought, which

everyone thought was a Cessna. That's what I was told, a small Cessna lost its

way and hit the plane.

I got there, I had to be inside on the 23rd floor when the

second plane hit.

I was inside when the second plane hit. I was already in the World Trade Center

7. You didn't hear that after, or did you hear that when it happened?

The second plane, when it hit? I couldn't tell you because I was inside

was like closed off from everything. Keep in mind now, OEM, that big center,

they had big, gigantic TV screens.

And at that point, none of them were working.

So I didn't know what was going on on the outside.

So the building was essentially deserted when you and Mr. Hess, well, the

command center was deserted when you and Mr. Hess got out there? Yes. Was that

normal? No.

No? No.

Okay. No, not at all.

The word we got was they had to take the mayor and evacuate.

So they said that the mayor was in World Trade Center 7 that day? Yes. He was

there earlier in the day and then evacuated? Yes. Could you say that,

we're not light, could you say that Giuliani was in the building? I didn't

actually see him, but that's what I was told. That's why Hess was there.

He was there to meet with Giuliani.

Well, I'm just confused about one thing and one thing only.

Why World Trade Center 7 went down in the first place.

I'm very confused about that. I know what I heard.

I heard explosions.

The explanation I got was it was the fuel oil tank.

I'm an old boiler guy.

If it was a fuel oil tank, it would have been one side of the building.

When I got to that lobby, the lobby was totally destroyed.

It looked like King Kong had came through it and stepped on it.

And it was so destroyed that I didn't know where I was.

And it was so destroyed they had to take me out through a hole in the wall, a

makeshift hole that I believe the fire department made to get me out.

Yes.

Yes.

I told them that's where I was.

That's where I was.

I didn't, you know, I didn't give it too much thought. Uh -huh. I thought they

were just doing an into report or an investigation as to what happened.

They got my point of view, and I haven't heard any more from them. For the past

couple of minutes, it has been clear from this space back on chambers in that

area. So now they're walking back toward the World Trade Center. And as we keep

letting you hear the personal stories, the survivor stories, of exactly what

happened inside the World Trade Center when that first plane went in, and of

course the collapses since then.

We're going to bring more of those to you now. Barry Jennings, you were on the

8th floor. You worked for the City Housing Department.

Explain to me the moment of impact.

Well, me and Mr. Hesch, the Corporation Counsel, were on the 23rd floor. I told

them we've got to get out of here. We started walking down the stairs. We made

it to the 8th floor.

Big explosion.

Blew us back into the 8th floor.

And I turned to Hesch. I said, this is it. We're dead. We're not going to make

it out of here. I took a fire extinguisher, and I bust the window out.

That's when this gentleman here heard my cries for help.

this gentleman right here, and he kept saying, stand by, somebody's coming to

get you. They couldn't get to us for an hour because they couldn't find us. You

thought that was it? I thought we were dead. I thought that was it. I started

praying to Allah, I said, that's it, we're gone.

What was it like for you? You were inside there as well.

It was pandemonium. I mean, it was something like out of a Bruce Willis Die

movie.

He was there, and he was crying, and there was another gentleman crying.

And for help, we couldn't get to him. We tried to get through the, we went

through the buildings. We were lost.

Both staircases, the backside was completely blown away. There was no way

access it. We couldn't get to him.

And finally, one of the fire department teams found him.

But we didn't think they were going to make it.

Well, certainly you got out. Many others didn't. Of course, we don't have a

number right now of fatalities or injuries.

But I want to translate a story to you that another man told me. He was near

building. He was on the lobby level, near the shopping area, near the

The elevator doors, he said to me, blew open.

And when the doors opened, there was a man on fire inside that elevator. That

the kind of tragedy we are talking about here and where the World Trade

Center... A firefighter that took us down kept saying, do not look down.

And I kept saying, why? I said, do not look down.

And we were stepping over people.

And you know you can feel when you're stepping over people.

Debris and dust are thrown over a huge area, and Tower 7 doesn't escort.

These are some of the only pictures of Building 7 at that moment.

Just over a minute later, the fire alarm in Tower 7 is triggered. But because

it's on test, there's no information about where the fires are.

The size of the building come down?

It was pretty clear at one point, and

then just a whole bunch of smoke and glass.

And I think we're just about the last ones in this building right now.

I think you should leave. Everybody else is gone.

When they finally got to us, and they took us down

to what they...

They called the lobby, because I asked them, I said, when we got down there, I

said, where are we?

He said, this was the lobby.

And I said, you've got to be kidding me. It was total ruins.

Total ruins. Now, keep in mind, when I came in there, the lobby had nice

escalators. It was a huge lobby.

And for me to see what I saw was unbelievable.

And the firefighter that took us down kept saying, do not look down.

And I kept saying, why? He said, do not look down.

You're stepping over people. And you know you can feel when you're stepping

people. The amount of detail that Barry gave us in this interview is unreal. He

says he was stepping over dead bodies in the lobby.

Trouble is, Barry Jennings himself disagrees with their interpretation of

words.

I didn't like the way, you know, I was portrayed.

They portrayed me as seeing dead bodies. I never saw dead bodies.

But Dylan Avery has a recording of his interview, and he's unrepentant.

I didn't take anything out of context.

I said it felt like I was stepping over them, but I never saw them.

And, you know, that's the way they portrayed me, and I didn't appreciate

so I told them to pull my interview.

I didn't take anything out of context.

Continental Airlines flight 3407 went down five miles from the airport and the

death toll is 50, including all 49 souls on board and one on the ground.

The first terrifying moments of the crash just outside of Buffalo captured

posted on YouTube.

A frantic search for the victims on the

ground.

firefighters arrived to find a home engulfed in flames with only the plane's

tail sticking out.

The plane suddenly banked sharply to the right, then nosedived into a

neighborhood. I was in our family room, and I heard a noise.

Planes do go over our house, but this one just sounded really different. And I

thought to myself, you know, if that's a plane, it's going to hit something. And

the next thing I knew, the...

ceiling was on me.

Extremely hot fire, one of the biggest fires that I have encountered in

my 17 years.

I could see the wing of the plane and Jill was over to the side, you know,

crying, of course, hysterical.

State police and other emergency crew tell us there are parts of this wreckage

that are still on fire.

Police have not released the names of the victims, the people on the plane,

we do know that one of them was the widow of a 9 -11 victim.

Beverly Eckert is her name, and she was flying back here to go to a ceremony

honoring a scholarship in her husband's name.

On board the aircraft, prominent victims' rights activist Beverly Eckert,

lost her husband in the 9 -11 attacks in New York.

Stephen Wallace is a witness to the plane crash. As Matt just mentioned, we

a breaking news story to tell you about. Apparently, a plane has just crashed

into the World Trade Center. Stephen Wallace is a witness to the plane crash.

joins us this morning. Stephen, you've spent 20 years as a paramedic, and you

knew pretty quickly when you arrived on the scene that this was no longer a

rescue situation.

Stephen, I mean, the fact that this plane came down and took only this one

in a very crowded neighborhood, that had to be surprising. I mean, this plane

literally came in almost vertically.

Oh, that's true. When I heard the call and came in, I was expecting, I'm

familiar with the area, I'm expecting two, three, four houses, if not a whole

neighborhood gone.

I was shocked when I came around the back and saw that basically the airplane

came in at an angle.

right down, causing a crater. It wiped out one house. It damaged the garage and

set some cars on fire.

But we've all seen the pictures of the Hudson River where the plane kind of

glided across the river. If that had happened here, there would have been

seven houses and a few businesses, and the catastrophe would have been a lot

worse. The weather may be at issue. What was the weather like at that point in

time, Stephen?

Well, I shot 200 or 300 pictures, and the ironic thing is you could look at

picture, and the very next second it's heavy snow with water, freezing rain,

then all of a sudden it's clear, the wind's really heavy, 20, 25 miles per

and then nothing.

So it was a very variable weather situation going on. Ice can distort that

airflow, and if there is that distortion, the airplane can stall at a

higher speed and without warning being given to the pilots.

But the Bombardier Dash 8 is a modern plane equipped with de -icing technology

that the NTSB says was turned on.

Investigators recovered that information off the black boxes already undergoing

analysis in Washington.

They already got the black boxes yesterday. They were rapidly brought to

York. Tim Morris, you, I understand, were the first at the scene. When you

that tail sticking up and saw the Continental logo, had you also assumed

a small plane up to that point? What was your reaction when you realized this

was an airliner?

Being the first one on location, it was actually very tough to tell that it was,

in fact, an airplane because of the massive amounts of fire, of course,

fueled by the jet fuel itself.

But I didn't, in fact, know it was or nor could confirm that it was, in fact,

larger -scale plane until I got about 180 degrees around the house. Then I did

make contact with the wing of the plane, the tail end of the plane, and then

verified that it was a larger -scale plane.

We're also closely following a developing story from Ohio tonight. A

registered to a Buffalo attorney has crashed near Cleveland, and there are no

survivors.

News 4's Michelle McClintock is live in the newsroom with the latest on this.

Michelle. Well, the names have not officially been released, but the plane

registered to a well -known Buffalo attorney who friends say was always seen

flying.

Investigators say the plane took off around 4 o 'clock on Tuesday afternoon.

This is a small single -engine aircraft, a Cirrus SR -22, that had departed

Cuyahoga Airport en route for Buffalo, New York, but crashed shortly after

departure, crashing approximately three miles from the airport.

According to the FAA, that Cirrus SR -22 plane was registered to Michael Doran,

who is an attorney in Buffalo, with the law firm Doran & Murphy.

News 4 legal analyst.

Terry Conner says that Michael Doran is the kind of attorney that everyone

respects. Mike was a hard, tireless worker, and he represented hard

-working men and women.

I know he advocated on behalf of a number of individuals who had sustained

hearing loss to the extent that he made landmark cases.

Conner says it wasn't unusual for Doran to be in Cleveland, as he had many

railroad clients there.

Doran was involved in many cases involving railroads. According to

in Ohio, it was raining and there was low visibility at the time of the crash.

Reporting live in the newsroom, Michelle McClintock, News 4 at 11.

We're learning new details also this morning about the nine victims of the

collision. They came from all walks of life, ranging from a retired general to

struggling mother of six.

It was the height of the afternoon rush and a typical commute for so many on the

train. A young mother of two on her way to work.

A military officer.

A 59 -year -old woman making plans for a trip of a lifetime.

Major General David F. Worley Jr.

and his wife Ann, both 62.

A career military man, General Worley recently retired as head of the D .C.

National Guard.

He gave the order to scramble jets over Washington on September 11th. He was

assigned a public servant and is dedicated to the United States of

anyone I have ever met.

At a vigil Tuesday night in Hyattsville, friends remembered 40 -year -old Anna

Fernandez, a mother of six, taking the train to her nighttime cleaning job.

A great mother.

Now she's leaving six kids.

Train operator Janice McMillan was also a mother. The son she raised by herself

started college last fall.

Her family says she took pride in her work, ironing her uniform nightly. She

loved the train.

She would talk about it all the time, tell us what she did at work, how this

works.

McMillan recently graduated from bus driver to train operator.

Her favorite part of the job, the relationships with her passengers.

Passengers like 64 -year -old retired teacher Dennis Hawkins on his way to

a Bible class at the time of the accident.

For Lavonda King's family, the pain of losing someone so young hurts the most.

Just 23 years old, Lavonda was going to pick up her two sons from daycare.

Her mother says she dreamed of a better life for her boys and had just signed

the paperwork to open a beauty salon.

Why did it have to happen?

She had such a young life and she was doing only what she was supposed to do.

A tower. What floor were you on? B1.

What floor?

First one.

What happened? Tell me. A big explosion happened.

Some guy came out. He was all off. I helped him out. This is when we're all

over.

There's people jumping out of windows. I've seen at least 14 people jumping out

of windows.

It's horrific. I can't believe this is happening.

Anything else that you saw? Were you there for the second hit by the plane?

About 10 minutes later, the second building went off.

Did you see it? Yes, I saw it. It just blew up. A big explosion. People started

running. It was just chaos everywhere.

Yes, I was right there. I was down in the basement. I came down.

All of a sudden, the elevator blew up.

Smoke. I dragged the guy out. His skin was hanging off.

And I dragged him out, and I helped him out of the ambulance.

The words of some of the witnesses here in Manhattan this morning and the

pictures of what will, I suspect, before this is over, go down as one of the

most...

Who was the director in the company that provided electronic security for the

World Trade Center and Washington's Dulles Airport, both involved in

11th?

None other than the president's younger brother.

From 1996 to 2000, SecureCom installed what was referred to as a new security

system at the World Trade Center.

Wirt D. Walker III, a cousin of the Bush brothers, was CEO of Securicom from

1999 until 2002.

Interestingly, these facts have not been made public.

Was it only a security system that was added during those years, or was it also

the wiring for a long -awaited plan?

Scott Forbes, an IT specialist in a firm that had leased space in the South

Tower since its erection, reported an unprecedented power down in his building

for almost the whole weekend prior to 9 -11.

We were notified three weeks in advance of the power down by the Port Authority.

That was relatively short notice to plan to shut down all of our banking

systems. It was a big deal. It was unprecedented.

We had a data center.

on the 97th floor.

So our originating servers were all there.

During that weekend, the power down meant that there was no security. The

were all open, basically.

And also the security video cameras were all off.

But there were guys in overalls carrying huge toolboxes and reels of

cables walking around the building on that weekend.

Employees were notified that Internet cables were being upgraded.

But who were the strange workmen and what were they really doing?

All the power was shut down.

If there was a power down, that meant that everything was gone in terms of

security, in terms of access to the building, so anybody could have gone

and do any kind of setup.

Having worked overtime to get his company's servers back up, Scott took

off on September 11th.

As he watched the towers collapse from New Jersey that morning, he was sure

had been the purpose of the mysterious weekend work.

Scott notified many authorities, including the 9 -11 Commission, about

unusual and lengthy power outage, but was ignored.

Ben Fountain of Fireman's Fund spoke of unusual evacuations ordered at the Twin

Towers during the weeks before September 11th.

Others reported that the security alert was inexplicably lifted five days prior,

and bomb -sniffing dogs were removed.

What would the dogs have discovered had they remained on duty?

Of the building, it's incredible what we are witnessing here from about five

miles away from the World Trade Center. Jim, I don't know if you were able to

see the videotape that we showed moments ago.

And if you have any information at all as to what type of plane and what

may be involved.

We did not have that as of yet, Michael. Unfortunately, we were unable to see

that video. My pilot at Baker is right now talking with air traffic control.

We're trying to determine what exactly happened here, what type of plane to be

exact was involved here, as well as the carrier involved.

We're showing people again that videotape that was shot just moments ago

second plane.

making impact into the second of the trade centers. Again, both 110 stories

tall, 40 ,000 people working between the two. Jim, from your vantage point, and

I know you had mentioned that you're five miles away, are you able to see any

activity on the ground?

Unfortunately, at this point, Michael, it would be very difficult to make that

activity from the ground. Right now you're looking at a shot of lower

and unfortunately we can't determine what has happened on the ground, what

of damage has been done to the other buildings.

surrounding the World Trade Center.

By

comparing

the perspective of the towers, we can see that these two images are probably

filmed by the same camera, and certainly from the same position.

They have in fact modified three aspects of the recorded live images.

to create the evening news images.

Firstly, they have added a blue -grey tint to the image to make it seem

different. Second, they have removed the entire background imagery of the river

and New York skyline.

And third, they have added a fake aeroplane, which does not appear in the

shot.

More from law enforcement about their investigation into the D .C. matter.

When she went outside, she noticed a three -wheel bicycle had been moved that

was normally kept in the shed.

Upon entering the shed located on the west side of the residence, Blanche

Palfrey discovered her daughter, Deborah, had apparently hung herself

nylon rope from a metal beam on the ceiling of the shed. She then called

At approximately 11 .01 a .m., Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue had pronounced

Jean Palfrey deceased.

The Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy and

determine the cause of death.

Are there any questions?

Could you talk about the notes she left behind?

Right now, we're not prepared to give out any information that was within the

notes. Captain, there's more than one note, though, right? Yes, there was more

than one.

How long have you been visiting here?

That information I do not have.

Is that her car back there?

I believe that's a rental car.

How many notes were left, more or less, and where were they?

I do not have all the information available where they were located, but

more than one note. I believe it was approximately two and then some other

in a book.

I don't have the exact time.

It's just a short nap, though.

I do not have that information.

I do not have the 911 tape at this time. It's still down at

Central. We'll have to get that sent up to us.

Again, we're not releasing any of that information at this time. Earlier you

mentioned you work on the Sheriff's Office of the FBI.

What's the FBI's interest?

Well, the reason why we called, first of all, we called in Pinellas County

Forensics Unit to process the scene for us, the Pinellas County Medical

Examiner's Office, who's charged with determining causation of death and also

actually confirming the identity of the victim.

The FBI was called and notified due to the ongoing cases that we knew that Ms.

Palfrey had in Washington area.

And a strange irony, part of this mystery, John P. O 'Neill, special agent

charge for counterterrorism of the FBI, the man who ran the Bin Laden case, was

just hired by the World Trade Center.

He's been unaccounted for since yesterday.

He was in charge of the coal bombing case, and had just returned from Yemen,

where there was such a threat on his life that the FBI agents literally had

to... had to move out of the country under guard, and he's been missing too.

His family has actually asked us to broadcast that in case some hospital,

some someone has information about that, and I'm going to effort to get a

picture of him. But the irony of his past, his role in the bin Laden

investigation and in terrorism in general, and the fact that he's among

missing right now.

is striking.

Case closed.

We've never been able to confirm any connection between Iraq and 9 -11.

And the meeting with Ada did not occur?

We don't know.

We've never been able to link it, and the FBI and CIA have worked it

aggressively. I would say at this point nobody has been able to confirm it. Then

why in the lead -up to the war was there the constant linkage between Iraq?

and al -Qaeda. That's a different issue.

Now, there's a question of whether or not al -Qaeda or whether or not Iraq was

involved in 9 -11.

There's a separate part from that. It's the issue of whether or not there was a

historic relationship between Iraq and al -Qaeda.

The basis for that is probably best captured in George Tenet's testimony

the Senate Intel Committee in open session, where he said specifically that

there was a pattern, a relationship that went back at least a decade between

Iraq and al -Qaeda.

But the president said they were working in concert, giving a strong suggestion

to the American people that they were involved in September 11th. There are

totally different propositions here, and people have consistently tried to

confuse them.

And it's important, I think, that there's a third proposition as well,

that is Iraq's traditional position as a strong sponsor of terror.

So you've got Iraq and 9 -11, no evidence that there's a connection.

You've got Iraq and al -Qaeda testimony from the director of CIA that there was

indeed a relationship, Zarqawi and Baghdad, et cetera.

Then the 30th Committee said that there was no relationship. In fact, Saddam, I

haven't seen the report. I haven't had a chance to read it yet. But the bottom

line is we know that Zarqawi, running a terrorist camp in Afghanistan prior to 9

-11, after we went into 9 -11, then fled and went to Baghdad and set up

operations in Baghdad in the spring of 2002 and was there from then basically

until the time we launched into Iraq. The bottom line is the rationale given

the American people was that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, and he

could give those weapons of mass destruction to al -Qaeda, and we could

another September 11th. And now we read that...

There is no evidence, according to the Senate Intelligence Committee, of that

relationship. You said there's no involvement. The president says there's

involvement. Tim, no involvement in what was said. In September 11th. Okay. And

the CIA said, leading up to the war, that the possibility of Saddam using

weapons of mass destruction was low, quote -unquote. It appears that there

deliberate attempt made by the administration to link al -Qaeda in Iraq

minds of the American people and use it as a rationale to go into Iraq.

Let me turn back home, domestic politics, and talk about the whole

involving Scooter Libby, your former chief of staff, who was indicted by

Fitzgerald. This was a document that was released in the investigation. It's a

New York Times op -ed piece with your handwriting on it. And that handwriting

says, or did his wife send him on a junket, referring to Ambassador Joe

wife Valerie Plain, who was a CIA agent. Did you in any way authorize Scooter

Libby? to release her name or her occupation to the press?

Tim, Scooter Libby is a good man. He's a friend of mine. He's somebody, one of

the most competent and capable people I've ever known.

He's entitled to the presumption of innocence.

But there is a legal matter pending.

There is going to be a trial next year.

I could well be a witness in the trial.

And much as I would like to...

talk about, and I certainly have strong opinions about the case, I think it

would be totally inappropriate for me to do so.

There was a story in the National Journal that Cheney authorized Libby to

confidential information.

Can you confirm or deny that?

I have the authority as vice president under an executive order issued by the

president to classify and declassify information.

And everything I've done is consistent with those authorities.

Could you declassify Valerie Plain's status as an operative?

I've said all I'm going to say on the subject, Tim. Do you think the president

should pardon Scooter Libby?

I've said all I'm going to say on the subject, Tim.

Have you been hunting since February 11, 2006?

No, sir. That was the end of the season.

No more hunting?

I didn't say that at all, but I have not hunted since then, but I ordinarily

wouldn't anyway.

Will you go out and hunt again?

I do. I will. Have you gotten over that incident?

Well, yeah. I don't know that you ever get over it.

Fortunately, Harry's doing very well, Harry Whittington.

You've talked to him? Yes, I have.

He's a good man, and he could not have been more gracious or more generous.

But it's not the kind of thing I don't think anybody could ever forget. Should

be relieved you didn't bring your shotgun in today?

I wouldn't worry about it.

You're not in season.

Mr. Vice President, I hope I never am. Thank you for sharing your views.

Thank you, Tim.

I'm Tom Brokaw, NBC News, and it is my sad duty to report this afternoon that

friend and colleague, Tim Russert.

The moderator of Meet the Press and NBC's Washington bureau chief collapsed

died early this afternoon while at work at the NBC News Bureau in Washington.

Tim had just returned from a family trip to Italy with his wife, Maureen Orth,

the writer, and his son, Luke. They were celebrating Luke's graduation from

Boston College just this spring.

Also, one time they wanted me to find out if there was such a thing as...

as a poison that was undetectable, especially one that seemed to mimic a

attack that would kill someone, but it would appear that they had a heart

attack. I did find such a thing.

Does this pistol fire the dart?

Yes, it does, Mr. Chairman, and a special one was developed which

would be able to enter the target without perception.

The poison was frozen into some sort of dart.

and then it was shot at very high speed into the person.

So when it reached the person, it would melt inside them, and the only thing

would be like one little tiny red dot on their body, which was hard to detect.

There wouldn't be a needle left or anything like that in the person.

But also the toxin itself would not appear in the autopsy?

Yes, so that there was no way of perceiving that the target was him.

The first warrant was served on September 11th of 2001, but was

It would not be until November of 2001 when the police would finally make an

attempt to raid Cooper.

Cooper's broadcasts at this time had already been looking into the federal

government's compliance in the events of 9 -11.

One of the things that makes everybody wonder why Bill was

Bill's life was snuffed out in 2001 was because in June of that year,

Osama bin Laden, who was a relative unknown at that time, Bill had been

following the news and found a lot of curiosities and went on the air

that there would be a major attack in the United States and that it would be

blamed on Osama bin Laden, but he was literally the scapegoat that was being

used, not truly behind the attack.

So that, I mean, just a few months before the events of September 11th, and

then, of course, Bill's life cut short shortly thereafter.

Supposedly, a CNN reporter found Osama bin Laden,

took a television camera crew with him, went into

Osama bin Laden's hideout, interviewed him and his top

leadership.

And he came out and told everybody, within three weeks, Osama bin Laden is

to attack the United States and Israel.

Now don't you think that's kind of strange, folks?

You see, because the largest intelligence apparatus in the world,

biggest budget in the history of the world, has been looking for Osama bin

for years and years and years, and can't find him.

Some doofus jerk -off reporter with a camera crew bosses right into his

hideout and interviews him.

And I'm telling you, be prepared for a major attack.

But it won't be Osama bin Laden.

It will be those behind the New World Order.

I wonder what Osama bin Laden's targets are supposed to be. And if they don't,

you know, if this doesn't materialize in the next two or three weeks.

it will eventually materialize because they haven't succeeded in getting the

guns out of the hands of the American people, nor have they succeeded in

our freedoms away. And so I can tell you with a certainty, they must do

something terrible in order to stop this backlash and regain the

sympathy of the mass herds of people out there.

about you today.

Thank you.

How they were able to smuggle these weapons on board. No guns were used, but

apparently the knife -like weapons were made up of plastic handles embedded with

razor blade, according to sources in this Boston Herald report.

Now, just to deal with the possibility of the missing United Airlines flight,

the mayor of Cleveland, Michael White...

says that a Boeing 767 out of Boston has made an emergency landing at Cleveland

Hopkins International Airport because of concerns that it may have a bomb

aboard. There is some possibility that may be the missing United flight, but we

do not know. But anybody who's in an aircraft this morning and made an

landing safely is probably one hugely relieved person at the moment.

I hope to be able to see your face again, baby.

I love you.

I guess that's when the call started.

Then I guess about, I didn't answer the phone until the last time she called,

which was, I think it was like 9 .51 or something to that. It was

towards the, almost close to 10 o 'clock by that time. Plan has been hijacked.

And I just, I said, stop playing, you know, because I'm just waking up. You

thinking that it's, you know, but she ain't never, she said, I never played

you like that. She said, listen to me. I need, and I heard.

the fear in her voice.

And she said, my plane has been hijacked.

I don't know what's going on.

I don't know what's going to happen.

But, you know, all I know is this, I love you. What she's saying, I hear

in the background screaming, and I hear some bamming.

And she said, okay, it's getting ready to happen, it's getting ready to happen.

And then we got disconnected.

It was like I just woke up. I'm like, was that a real call? So I looked at the

caller ID.

and noticed that it was a call, and it was from her cell phone.

And I'm like, okay, wait a minute.

How can she call me from on the plane from a cell phone because cell phones

don't work on a plane? That's what I'm thinking.

Aircraft we believe was transmitting at 12 o 'clock, 5 miles, turn left heading

225, I'll get you away from him. Okay, he's climbing, so I want to keep

everybody away from him.

Okay, I think we got him in sight.

Well, the 1989 air traffic, he was at 11 o 'clock and 15 miles south on 41,

timing looks like he's turning eastbound heading 360.

United 93 on the scent of a bomb on board, go ahead.

United 93, did you understand that transmission?

Affirmative, he said there was a bomb on board.

Affirmative, that was all you got out of it, Alfred?

Affirmative. 93, go ahead.

He said aircraft, he can't get a hold of it. Did he turn to the east now?

He's just turned to the east, Alfred.

United 93, you hear Cleveland Center.

the target on that aircraft we had a visual out of this stand by do you have

visual out of mount uh we did but we lost him at the turn so you can make a

back to 220 heading let me know if you can see him yeah he's still there we got
