Original subtitles

Are you Wheels?

Do you have the Nug? Does Queenie know you have it? What's for dinner?

Schnitzel? Spanakopita?

Spaghetti.

And yes, I'm Wheels.

You've been lying this whole time?

Getaway driver?

Wow. How could you?

But you must have been still a teenager when the Nug was stolen. Did you even

have your driver's license?

Of course I did.

And I always click -clack front and back. Well, phew. But what about the

in the gang, yoinking the nog, and lying to us part?

I'm sorry.

I was trying to protect you all.

Please, let me try and explain.

Can we fix the lighting?

The lamp stays on.

Queenie roped me into a life of crime all those years ago.

I was sick of it. I wanted out.

So I came up with a plan.

We'd do one last job, and that would put an end to it, once and for all.

On the day of the heist, it was my job to take the stolen nug to a secret

location.

Inky Alley.

That's right.

Little did the gang know, I had other plans.

I'd made a fake.

You made the fake nug?

I did, yes.

With some tricks that I'd picked up from Scribbler. It wasn't perfect, but it

was close.

Close enough to fool the gang.

So, with the fake nug and the real nug, I set off to Stinky Alley.

The gang agreed that we'd stash the nug in one of the bins, and then, once the

heat died down, Queenie would come and collect it.

It was the hardest decision I've ever had to make, that I stashed the fake nug

in the bin.

I thought that when Queenie retrieved it and tried to sell the fake nug, that

she'd lose all her cred in the underworld, and that would be it, an end

criminal career, and the beginning of our normal life.

But then...

And she went to retrieve it.

The fake knock was gone.

After that, the kangaroo gang disbanded.

Queenie left to chase some blue sapphire in some far -flung place.

We kept in contact.

But then she stopped writing.

And I never heard from her again.

I just wanted a happy, normal life for our family.

So I hid the real Nug somewhere where no one would think to look.

But then Queenie showed up.

And here we are.

I've been carrying the Nug around with me ever since.

At least I was.

Until this afternoon.

What's in the bag?

Franklin. It's mine.

You could have led with that, Dad. Come on.

Oh, no. The Katinka Tonks have the real nug. And they're going to find it during

the school play tomorrow.

We're Katinka Toast.

Make your own nug.

Program.

Program.

Anybody, please?

It's really important.

Program. Thank you.

A very special seat for a very special nuggie coat hat.

Dine, dory, nugg, that is nearly nailed to once.

There's my girl.

Come this afternoon.

The you -know -what will be back in the planetarium.

You'll win the reward, and I won't need to pay you because I house and feed you.

Is the egg in the eagle's nest?

What?

Is the chicken nugget dropped onto or under the stage?

Right. Yeah.

And will we have any trouble with our dopey Delaney's and friends?

They've been taken care of.

Biscuit, barred from the play and Katinka Tonks guarding every entrance.

Sorry you won't get to play the Nug awful, but you were captivating as a

rock. That's okay. We've all got cool new parts to play, eh? That's right.

We get in, get Penn on stage to tell the true history of the Nug so Great Granny

Pie can get the credit she deserves.

And we need to get the Nug before Emilia.

finds it during the play.

Speaking of grannies, where's granny?

Yeah, I noticed she met us here. She gave you a note?

She was gone when I woke up this morning.

It was pinned to my door.

See you at the play. We need to put a stop to this Emilie rubbish.

Queenie or no Queenie, we've trained for this. Nine tricks, one shot.

Three acts, plus a short prologue.

Cue. Mission now possible.

Dad, you just hang back and... French drop, power of suggestion, ABC disguise,

full focus, flip, invisible ink, ventriloquism, peep, periscope, pep

mannequin freeze.

Oh, it's good to get those out.

That was unexpected.

Do you know all nine tricks?

For real?

Oh, there are way more than nine.

Jolene!

You'll recognise us for sure.

True, bro. How do we get past them?

Power of suggestion should do the trick.

You leave this to me.

Hey, Gerard.

I just had this amazing dream.

Wow.

I'm doing it! Yes!

I'm retiring!

I'm living the dream!

Yes! What a powerful suggestion!

Woo!

Come on, come on, quick, quick.

Hurry, hurry, hurry.

Welcome, Woodspring.

One and all.

And now, without further ado, to the great and remarkable mystery of the

Nug, I welcome you.

Voila!

Nothing.

We could four -focus flip them out.

With a little bit of ABC disguise, too.

Yes, it's a full -scale code white. Repeat, a code white. We need to

now. What's a code white?

Knit! It's knit fest. Everyone evacuate!

Knit!

We all know our role. When any of you changes costume, we

go.

You shouldn't be here.

Doug, step away.

I'm taking over here.

Such power.

Pet Talk nailed it.

But where should I go?

Look over there.

What?

Oh, silly Doug.

When will you learn?

Joey, I'm in position.

Copy that. Headed under the stage to find the Nug now.

It's Nug or never.

We need to get the Mavis costume. Can you see it?

Yeah, I can.

It's just out of stage.

Looks all clear to me.

Hey, DJ, you need to drop this stuff off.

Like, right now.

Mannequin free.

If there's a list of heroes in Amelia's victory speech, we might be between

myself and miscellaneous support.

At least I've got a great friend.

Let's go.

Probably just rats.

the costume.

Okay, we hide here and wait for our cue.

Do you know what the run time is here?

What if I forget my lines? Or I forget how to walk with alternate

feet?

Just relax, Bert.

You're brilliant.

That's our cue.

That's our cue.

Copy. She's changing now. I'm almost there.

Where's my Mavis costume?

None of you can do anything right.

It was supposed to be side of stage.

Nothing to see here.

All definitely part of the show.

For the love of theatre, let us take you back in time, 100 years ago, to the

moment the Nug was first discovered by Mavis Katinkatonk.

When you're ready, Emilia.

Oh, hey. My name's Mavis Katinkatonk.

Oh, you idiot! Where is it?

Oh, just help me look.

And look, over yonder field, is that Great Granny Pie?

Here she comes.

Hmm, that's strange.

Oh, sure she'd be here. She promised.

Said she was nervous. But I reckon if your knees are wobbly, your heart's

probably doing something important.

And Great Granny Pie's got the biggest, truest heart I know.

not a great granny yet, as she's only a child.

What a beautiful night. Look at the stars.

Wait, that's not a star.

You should go get a grown -up, eh?

Badger's staying here to keep watch.

Okay.

I'll just move this over here tick -a -tick -a -tock, Glenn, and say I found

Ma -ha -ha -ha. Ma -ha -ha -ha -ha.

Nicely played, Gretchen.

Or should I call you Brizza?

Or perhaps someone else we might know?

Lever girl.

Go on, then.

Take it off.

It's probably itchy.

So, the jig's up.

Is it in there?

I always thought your father kept this.

The rest of the kangaroo gang never came back to Woodspring, did they?

The Scribbler, Cuttlefish, Prusa, they were all just... You?

No, I haven't seen the gang in decades.

What gave it away?

Your eyes.

My eyes?

My eyes are perfect. I have 20 -20 vision, darling. No, not those eyes.

other eye.

No.

That's when I realized.

They matched the eyes in the note we found from Cuttlefish.

The note in this bath trophy.

The eye in Elias F. Wrinklelench.

And the note you left us this morning.

Clever girl.

Cuttlefish I get.

You used the smoke bomb to escape.

But how'd you escape the guard at the cinema?

Well, sometimes, when you're in a close call, it's good to use nature calls.

Privacy!

And before you ask, that was a fake grab trick.

Been around since the dawn of doorways.

If Dad had the nug, why did the detector track it to the Tinkertongue Manor?

Ah, yes.

The mail has to go through, rain, hail or shine.

So why'd you do it, Queenie?

All the clues, the disguises, the tricks, the commandments?

Why?

When the gang broke up.

I did my time, quite a lot of time.

And when I got out, I just missed the company.

I saw the potential in you four.

And now, mission accomplished.

So what?

You made us into a crack team so we'd find the nug for you.

And now you're just going to leave us and keep all the luck for yourself?

Oh, the nug isn't lucky.

Don't need a lump of rock for that.

Conmanment number ten.

Make your own luck.

Besides, when I sell this little treasure, for a lot more than the

I'll send you your cut. You can bring your mother home. You can all go on

holiday. And you could all do with a little bit of that.

Especially Franklin.

So why'd you come back?

The Nug?

Or us?

I should have done this sooner.

Hi, I'm Skip Scoopworthy, reporting from the grand reopening of the Woodspring

Planetarium, now renamed the Pi Planetarium, in honour of the true

the town's iconic nug.

Let's cut that ribbon, Great Granny Pi.

Welcome home, Nug!

Welcome home, Nug, indeed.

And what a feel -good story this is. The missing nug miraculously found in a

pile of redirected mail at the Woodspring Post Office.

And now it's outgoing, disgraced and clearly not happy to be here ex -mayor

Katie Katinkatonk who has the great honour of presenting the reward to its

recipient. Over to you, Katie.

Thank you so much, Skip.

And in my...

final official duty as mayor.

It is my great honor.

Oh, stop it.

Give it to me.

There you go.

We're donating some of this to help save the Antarctic penguins and to bring mum

home. The rest of this goes to the people of Woodspring.

A shout out to Great Granny Pie.

with free entry to the Pi Planetarium from now on.

The Nug is for everyone!

Come Nug! Come all!

You'll rock!

What about a new mayor?

Franklin!

Because you can always trust him to do the right thing on a job.

Franklin!

Franklin! Franklin!

Franklin! Franklin!

Franklin! Franklin!

Franklin!

Love you, Dad!

Amelia.

Emilia. I can't believe I'm doing this.

What are you doing?

An olive branch.

What?

I'm trying to be nice.

Just shake it.

What the...

Emilia,

I just wanted to say...

I... I... I... I love you too, Mum.

Oh. OK.

OK.

$100 ,000, eh?

Best day ever.

Five stars.

So good.

Sweet as, eh?

Joey!

Hey, I'm really proud of you.

I'm proud of you too, Dad.

You too, son.

Well done, gang.

Couldn't have planned it better myself.

Well played, Queenie.

Or should I call you... Granny.

Well, come on then.

Give this granny a squeeze.

It's been six months since our precious nug has been returned. And now, an

artefact so mysterious and valuable, its name remains a closely guarded secret,

is about to go on tour.

First stop, Woodspring. But not everyone's happy.

Some are questioning who rightfully owns the artefact.

Still, with the town's history of nug theft, officials are assuring the public

that they will outwit even the brightest of criminal minds.

You heard it, folks.

State -of -the -art security will be tighter than ever.

State -of -the -art security?

Looks positively thrilling.

I bet the rightful owners are missing it.

I mean, someone's got to give it back.

Mum won again.

Guess it's my lucky day.

Want to play another round?

Naturally, darling.
