Previously on Memory of a Killer. We're looking at early onset Alzheimer's

disease. We found fibers. They don't match anything Block was wearing. Very

expensive Italian wool.

A button. That came from someone who was in that fight. I need to stay sharp and

clear -headed.

Thank you.

Who loved Maria so deeply that they would do something like that? Her

Now what other symptoms should I be aware of? Difficulty making decisions.

Angela was former military.

Anxiety. Frustration. That kind of skill set doesn't just go away.

Increased feelings of suspicion.

Angela Flannery is not a suspect.

If I don't get what I need, you'll lose more than your license.

How long do I have before, you know?

Everyone's mind remains.

What did Robert Parks know?

Parks' mysterious death has been the subject of any number of conspiracy

theories, but would his testimony have changed anything?

Many of Parks' colleagues say he was a man of integrity.

In fact, one of his co -workers told us Parks was, quote, incapable of lying.

Whoever sent you here lied to you.

Please remember, Angelo, this is just a study.

Transmagnetic stimulation for Alzheimer's is still an experimental

You'll feel a light tapping sensation as the magnet fires.

Magnetic stimulation works by stimulating brain cells.

Would this help with specific memories I need to recall?

The therapeutic effects can be hard to predict.

But, Angelo, a trick to jog a specific memory is to put yourself in the place

where the memory was made.

Be as precise as you can, including the moments leading up to the memory you're

looking for.

We're ready to start the first cycle.

Let me know if you get dizzy.

Angelo, what were you experiencing?

Felt like memories.

But the memory turned into another memory.

It was disorienting.

That wasn't caused by the treatment.

Have you been sleeping lately?

No. I think you drifted off there.

The medication has been known to cause insomnia and also some very vivid

The early part of the treatment can be unsettling if you can push through that

stage and get some meaningful results.

You want to keep going?

Yeah.

Whoever sent you here lied to you.

You're all right, Angelo.

If you can just stay awake.

Stay seated.

I'm sorry, I can't do this. I have to go. I gotta get out of here.

I have to stop.

Hey, Dave.

I thought you opened up the tip line for the block murder.

Nothing useful come in?

Useful's not exactly a word that comes to mind.

One guy says that the block murder is a hoax perpetrated by Mayor Kelly.

Sue says she thinks that she saw a block on a reality TV show last week. And

wait for it, my personal favorite, a lady says your block killer is her next

-door neighbor's 80 -year -old wife.

Oh, boy.

Yeah. All right, let them in.

Dave?

Jeff. Dave, uh, sorry, Detective Woods, this is, uh... Jacob Thompson,

investigator. Hey. I know, I know you said not to hire an investigator, but

my uncle, and before you say anything, he... he found something.

What'd you find?

Well, that...

is a button it's not just a button it's it's evidence it is found it

at the base of that bridge where henry block was found he must have come off

clothing of the guy that killed him you're welcome what makes you so sure

that i got a guy who owed me a favor so he he ran a few tests a guy listen it

doesn't matter this this has made a buffalo horn with lion's eye backing

Right? So...

Look,

this could not have come from some hiker's pup jacket. You understand? We

talking about fine garments here.

Real upscale.

Okay? This is the sort of thing that could only come from a $10 ,000 suit.

I mean, who's wearing those kinds of clothes in the woods?

I mean, that's weird, right? It's got to be a part of the case.

Listen, guys. What's the problem? Dave, if you really found a piece of evidence

connected to a murder investigation, you should have brought it directly to us

instead of having some guy handle it. My uncle... Give me a break.

It's evidence, right? And we have strict protocol around chain of custody.

Law enforcement did not find this. Exactly.

Law enforcement missed it.

That's why you needed a guy with real experience out there to come in and do

things the right way. Why do you think the kid called me, huh?

Okay, please.

Please, can you just look into it?

It's something.

It's something.

It's not admissible in evidence now.

But yeah, I will check it out.

Thank you. Thank you.

You're welcome.

He must be checking in with his parole officer.

No, no.

No, no, no, no. Come on.

Come on.

Come on.

Testimony from top executives of the major drug company continued today

much fanfare or controversy.

As for Parks' murder, it has gone unsolved, and police never ruled out the

possibility that it could have been unrelated to his work, that it could

been personal.

The Ferryman doesn't just kill you.

He erases everything you ever loved.

Who paid the Ferryman to kill my daughter?

Then be sure you watch it happen.

It was personal.

Okay, Ferryman.

Time to push you out.

Hey. Morning.

I need you to do me a favor.

No way, man.

If they even saw me talking with you, I can't. You don't even know what I'm

asking. I need you to put this tracking device into the next shipment that goes

to the ferryman.

That's a lot to ask. I got eyes on me these days.

All you gotta do is put it in the box, and I can follow where it goes.

Look, I'm trying to get out of this line of work.

You know they'll kill me if they find out. Well, then, make sure they don't

out.

Do it for me.

And I'll take care of you.

Okay?

Gotta say, Lorenzo Febroni suits fit me in all the right places.

It's like instant plastic surgery.

That's the guy who turned me on to Febroni.

Pricier than a Kardashian divorce, but worth every penny. Clothes make the man.

You're welcome.

Maybe one day you'll wear them as well as me.

You got a minute so I can talk to you?

Yeah. Leo, give us a minute, yeah?

Do you remember that scientist about a year, year and a half ago?

No. Remind me.

He's been in the news a lot lately.

Take a look at that.

All the reports say he was a hero.

So?

So the last thing he said to me was that whoever sent you lied to you. At first

I just thought he was going to save his hide. That's what he was saying, right?

But now?

Not so sure.

What are you saying, Angelo? You shouldn't have killed the guy.

Client was satisfied and paid in full. That's called a job well done.

But why did they kill him?

Since when do you care about the reasons?

We never take a contract on a civilian.

What I know is that you don't ask questions.

You don't decide. I sure as hell don't remember you asking questions when you

came back from Iraq, a broken man, and I took you in, put your life back

together. I was a kid. With only one skill, and I gave you a way to use it.

And now you got everything you ever wanted.

Your Febroni suits, your fancy cars, your multi -million dollar apartment.

more than that, I gave you purpose.

So why now the sudden lack of trust?

Something about this.

But who did it right?

Angelo.

Angelo!

All these years, you still don't get it, do you?

Not asking questions is what protects you.

You don't want to open this can of worms.

There's an old proverb.

Thoroughbred horses never look back when they run.

There's a reason for that.

Leo, let it go.

Ciao, Leo.

We got to move this button.

What are you doing down there?

Oh, just, um, the foot of the crib seemed loose.

You shouldn't be doing that. I can take a look, see if I can fix it. It's the

least I can do while you're hard at work literally making a baby.

That seems fair.

Yeah. Hey, why aren't you dressed for yoga at different clusters?

I don't know. I'm just not really feeling it today.

Oh, really? You sure?

It's been helpful, hasn't it?

Yeah, I mean, what do you mean?

Nothing, I just, I feel like, I don't know, you might be affected by all this

more than you realize.

Are you talking about therapy? No, I'm not.

Like, yoga is your therapy.

You always feel better after you go.

You're right.

I know.

Remember when you said we found anything else besides fibers that could be

helpful? Mm -hmm.

I'm guessing the odds of this being a match are small, but... This could

absolutely be from the same garment.

Who found this? When?

It's a long story. It came today.

You really think this could be a match?

I can check if there are any traces of fibers on this that match the others I

found. Perfect.

This is all pretty high -end stuff.

You'd think a rich guy like this, wearing these kinds of fancy threads...

The guy would stick out like a sore thumb in Hudson.

Yeah.

And life dealt with him.

Thirsty? Thank you.

I barely made it through that class.

That was absolute torture.

It really is torture.

Thanks for the water.

No problem.

I don't think I've seen you before in this class.

Yeah, it was my first time.

Heard great things about this place.

Yeah.

Honestly, you crushed it. I couldn't have made it through that when I was

pregnant.

Yeah, you know, just trying to deal with the stress in a more healthy way.

But, I mean, he's definitely making bending into these poses a bit more

difficult.

Believe me, I get it.

Do you have a name picked out yet?

Well, my husband really likes Harrison or Roman. You know, something like uber

-masculine.

But I'm really partial to Liam.

Yeah, I mean, it's my father's middle name.

Makes it even more special.

Yeah.

Are you two close?

Yeah, we are.

He's one of the most caring, genuine people I've ever met.

Wow. Is he single?

Actually, he is.

Well, that would be my husband checking to see if I want frozen yogurt

when... We both know it's him who really wants it.

Adorable.

Well, I see you here next class.

Sure will.

Torture's just getting started.

Yep.

Can I help you? Yeah, I'm here to see Joe.

Who are you?

A friend of Joe's.

Why don't you go grab yourself a cappuccino?

Come back later.

Einstein's still asleep.

Einstein?

Yeah, Einstein.

Because he's a genius.

Yeah. Do you get it? Oh, yeah, I get it.

My son is a 35 -year -old dishwasher. Still is at home.

You're his friend?

God knows what that says about you.

You know what? He's a hard worker.

He's smart.

Oh, fantastic.

So the kid can scrub dishes?

You know, he's handled situations that would break most men.

It's clear he didn't get that from you.

And what do you got here?

You up? You down?

What the hell?

Dutch told me about your little problem.

Not so smart gambling with other people's money. So I wouldn't go around

people they're stupid.

Because from where I stand, someone who owes Dutch 40 grand is stupid.

Angelo, I... Hey, Joe, you ready?

Yeah.

What was that about?

It's nothing.

I need your help.

You need to keep this between me and you. No one else needs to know.

They were talking to me late. Yeah, totally.

You mentioned in our tip line that you saw someone at the trailhead on the day

of the murder, the 17th. Mm -hmm, yep.

And that's the weird part.

He was wearing a fancy suit.

Power lunch on Wall Street kind of fancy, but in the middle of the forest.

Mm -hmm. Yeah, you mentioned that in your post.

Was it this guy?

No, no, no, it wasn't him. Trust me, I'd remember that beard anywhere.

Not really my thing. The guy I saw was, uh, he was, like, older, with graying

hair. He was actually a bit of a zaddy.

A zaddy?

Like a hot old guy.

After you saw him in the forest, what happened then?

Uh... Right. He walked straight across the lot and he got into a black Porsche.

Porsche. You're sure? Positive.

It was a really, really nice one.

Okay. This is helpful.

Very helpful.

One more. Can you tell me?

There's been a development in the block case.

Not a slam dunk, but we've had a witness come forward.

A witness?

They think they might have seen blocked killer that day.

I wanted to ask, do any of you know someone who drives a Porsche?

No, I don't think so.

Not in this neighborhood, no.

What color?

Not sure. Black or another dark color.

Sorry, we're talking about the man who killed Block?

That's right.

So how does this have anything to do with Maria's safety?

What about motive?

Identifying Block's killer could explain why he fired at Maria that day.

And this witness is reliable?

The first one we found.

She gave me a lot to fumble up on.

Until then, I don't have anything more, but I'll keep you guys posted.

Okay. Okay.

Thank you.

Okay.

Thanks, Dave. Let me show you.

Look,

Dave, I'm her father.

If there's the slightest chance she's not safe, I need to know everything.

I understand.

I'll keep you in the loop. Thank you.

Porsche. I figured you for a McLaren guy.

You know, it's my other car.

You got something?

The button is Buffalo Horn.

Handcrafted. Rare.

But the real news is, I compared the fibers we found on Block's body with

on the button.

It was a match.

The button definitely came from our killer.

And there's more. I talked to someone at the company that makes the button. It's

so unique that apparently they only sell it to a few dozen designers, most of

them in Europe. But they also sell to three bespoke designers all on the East

Coast, all located in New York City.

Just three.

That's amazing, Anderson.

Great work.

What do you got?

Yeah, I mean, I did a deep dive, scoured some dark corners of the internet, and

you're right.

Something doesn't add up.

Parks isn't a terrorist.

Well, if he was, he has the cleanest cover I've ever seen. I think that's

clean claim.

Angela, a trick to jog a specific memory is to put yourself in the place where

the memory was made.

Angela, you all right?

What's going on? You seem worried.

We need to go back.

Go back to what?

The site of the park's hit.

Someone is coming after me because of this job.

Well, am I in any danger, or... I know you're not going to like

this, but we need to go back.

Right, yeah. I thought the cardinal rule was we don't return to the site of the

hit or... I mean, I've rebooted the box,

checked the Wi -Fi.

I don't know what the problem is. It keeps cutting out.

Could be a signal issue outside.

My partner's looking at your other TVs.

I'll check out the junction box.

Thank you.

Be right back.

Excuse me.

What are you doing?

Hello?

I'm talking to you.

Why the hell are you in my house?

You have a really nice place here.

You can't be here.

Just checking the cable boxes.

There's no TV in here. You can clearly see that.

I forgot the wrong room.

Get out!

I'm just trying to help. Get the hell out!

Okay, okay.

I'll leave.

But I'm not done yet.

Don't look so nervous.

We're literally returning to the scene of the crime.

Yeah, what could possibly go wrong?

Hold it.

Back, please.

Oh,

real dead.

The dead.

I got a call to fix a broken door hinge.

You're good. Thank you very much.

Have a good day.

Then cleaned out.

Whoever sent you here lied to you.

Angela.

Joker, I thought you didn't cheat.

Something about this doesn't make sense

So,

what

are we dealing with here Angelo

How's that?

Come with me.

Andrew. Andrew.

You didn't tell me what's going on here.

Just stay close.

He knew you were coming.

You look like you could use a drink.

Who's Gilchrist?

Who?

Gilchrist.

Who put the hit on Parks? Was it Gilchrist?

Are you kidding me? Again with the scientist.

Really? Uh -huh.

I don't know any Gilchrist. I'm sorry.

Are you sure?

What the hell is this?

Where's this all coming from?

Someone's coming after us.

I don't know who it is, but he calls himself the ferryman. The ferryman.

That blue truck that was following you a while back, the one you were paranoid

about, you think that has something to do with this?

I do.

Huh.

Yeah, no offense, Ange, but I'm not hearing much to go on here. I mean, I

see that the ferryman's got your panties in a twist, but how is that our

problem? You got me the job.

I get you every job.

Yeah.

And the intel on this one was bad.

Sounds like you're letting yourself get spooked by a boogeyman.

An associate of mine was killed.

And the way they did it made it crystal clear.

that the ferryman is coming after us because of a hit on parks.

You're serious?

All right.

I guess you're going to track down this ferryman.

Okay, so be honest.

Was my bolognese decent?

Oh, it was more than decent. It was wonderful. Thank you for making dinner.

Hey. Yeah.

Something going on?

Hmm.

Are you worried about the baby?

Baby?

Maria.

How do you know about Maria?

You're kidding, right?

You were just going on and on about her.

I think it's lovely. She wants to name her baby Liam.

Liam.

After you.

You know, I hope I get to meet Maria and the little one someday.

Are you insane?

Contacting me after two years? Do you have any idea the position this puts me

in? We're in the middle of a congressional hearing.

Miss Gilchrist, someone's using the name the ferryman, dropping bodies.

My guy's being followed, getting threats.

And?

What do you think?

I want to know if this has something to do with the hit on Robert Parks.

I have no idea.

Whatever amateur or drama your guy has gotten himself into is really none of my

concern.

You're not telling me something.

I'm sorry.

You think we brief contract labor on corporate strategy?

You were hired to solve a problem, and you solved it.

End of relationship.

I'm trying to keep this from blowing up in your face.

Are you? Because from where I stand, you're creating exposure.

I know my guy.

And I know when he's not going to let something go.

Well, I guess you have a management problem, don't you?

Get your house in order.

Because if your guy becomes a liability, if you can't control him, then we will.

And trust me, our methods are far more creative than yours.

You think Angelo's the problem?

Lady, Angelo is the solution.

And if your creative methods come looking for him, well, you'll find out

I've kept him around for 30 years.

I made contact with the daughter.

You think she trusts you?

Yeah.

She's starting to.

Good.

And the angel?

I got in his head.

What's up is down, and what's down is up.

I can make him believe anything.

You tell the ferryman, when this is over... My debt is paid, and we're done.

You hear me?

I hear you.

I'd be delighted to pass on the message.

Just a couple more questions I need to go over. When Earl Hancock entered your

house, did he initiate contact in any way?

Seriously, Dave? He was in my house.

I'm just trying to get the information we need.

To what?

The man who killed my mother was inside my house, in my baby's nursery.

I mean, isn't that all the information you need?

Look, I know you want a restraining order, and if it were up to me, but...

Unfortunately, he was a legitimate employee of the cable company, and since

didn't make any explicit threats... I'm sorry.

I know it's extremely frustrating.

But there just isn't enough here to take to the judge.

For me.

It's not your fault. It's just... It's fine.

It's okay. Just, um... We can be done here. Okay?

Maria, hey.

You know I'd do anything to protect you, right?

I know.

There's something else.

We have new evidence on the Henry Block case.

What did you find?

We found some fibers and a button we think could be from the killer's jacket.

It's really expensive and it matches only three different designers.

And we're going to canvass their store tomorrow.

And this could be big.

Okay, well, what stores? Which designers?

High -end stuff I've never heard of.

Look.

Yeah, Lorenzo for Brony. Yeah, I mean...

I don't know about the other two, but this can't be very high -end. I mean, my

dad has some clothes made by Ferroni.

Your dad?

Yeah, he said he got them from some office manager in Tucson or something.

I'm sorry.

I don't think this is the break you were hoping for.

I'm forgetting conversations.

And so that's why you've come back.

I'm getting worse.

And it's happening faster than I thought it would.

Thank you, Dave.

Angelo Flannery, Fast and Icon, right?

This is interfering with my work.

I will do whatever it takes.

River medicine, pills, treatments, trials, anything.

Okay?

Yes, Mr. Flannery, I understand.

I just want to be myself again.

Let's get started.
