- When I met Roland, he was very angry at God.

- It was a difficult time, I'm sure.

- He was questioning God.

- But then I met Linda.

She helped me, she helped us.

- So God put you guys together.

- When I met Mark and Michael,

I just fell in love with them immediately.

- The boys needed a mother, they needed someone like Linda.

And then soon after that we purchased this house.

I didn't mean it to go this way,

but it made a lot of people jealous of me,

including my family.

I got a phone call from my lawyer today.

My own brother betrays me.

I can't believe he would steal money from the company.

- He trusted him.

He basically let him run the whole company.

- I worked hard to build up that company from the ground up.

I remember I was 17 years old when I started selling meat.

Actually, I sold meat to the houses around this area.

When people ate, I was working.

When people slept, I was working.

When people were on vacation, I was working.

I was working nonstop, long hours on end.

Well, planning to move to Colorado.

- When I was a boy,

I remember my parents struggling to pay for food

and to pay for the bills,

and I vowed to myself that I would never allow

for me and mine to be in that same situation.

that we could have more than enough.

- Proverbs 12:27 says,

"The lazy man does not cook the food which he has hunted,

but diligence is a man's precious possession."

- I believe everybody needs to work hard.

- There's a lot of guys who don't wanna work hard,

want everything handed to them.

- Roland, I think you're a good example.

I believe you show what hard work gets you in this life.

If you don't work hard today, you'll not eat tomorrow.

- It's the truth.

- Let's open up our Bibles

to Deuteronomy chapter 8 verses 17 and 18.

And His word says,

"Then you say in your heart,

'My power and the might of my hand

have gained me this wealth.'

And you shall remember the Lord your God,

for it is He who gives you the power to get wealth,

that he may establish His covenant,

which He swore to your fathers, as it is to this day."

- I don't know if it was 'cause I was a good guy or not,

but a lot of things I did,

I felt like He had His hand on it,

and that's why I was able to be successful.

I was able to help my family.

- You're very generous.

God blesses those who give.

- For a while there,

it felt like everything I touched turned to gold.

And then this happens.

- God is gonna get you through this time.

Let's pray for our brother here,

Let's stretch out our hands.

Father God, I ask that You help Roland.

We lift up our brother and his family.

Be with him in this time, get him through this.
