that we are living in the last days.

Many people have left Him and the church.

Many young people rebel against God and their parents.

This world is influenced by whatever they watch and hear.

Satan has been influencing people through music,

media, games, movies.

Whatever people watch is what they have become.

So the Lord said, "Put the message out onto TV screens,

movie screens, internet."

He said, "I will meet them in the place

where they listen and hear.

I will save them and deliver them and heal them

and bring them back to the Kingdom."

One day, I attended a pastor's meeting

in San Antonio, Texas.

One of the pastors told me I needed to meet Jimmy Robles.

He told me he had a great testimony.

Whoever watches this testimony will be encouraged.

It'll give them hope.

- My name is Jimmy Robles.

I was born August 9th, 1970

in San Antonio, Texas.

I have two brothers and a sister.

I'm the eldest.

When I was born, I almost died.

I had the umbilical cord wrapped around my neck.

My mom was also a prayer warrior.

She was always praying.

It was a bad neighborhood, real bad neighborhood.

You know, the parents would send their kids out.

They'd be out there selling drugs, buying drugs,

just doing all sorts of things that you shouldn't be doing.

- I want to make sure I record this.

- Of course.

- So, how was junior high?

- My first day of junior high, the principal got shot.

- Jimmy, I don't want you to be late

for your first day of school.

- Don't worry, mom.

I'm never late.

- I can't believe it's your first day of junior high.

You're growing up so fast.

- Stop.

- Do they know who shot him?

- Like I said, I grew up in a rough neighborhood.

I stayed in that school for three years,

and that's when I met Martin Martinez.

- After that day, I never stopped doing drugs.

I became a leader, and the leader of parties,

He went through a lot.

- Well, the part in his testimony that I'm going over now is

he got in a lot of trouble at school.

His mom came and got him.

It was so much that they walked all the way home

and she left the car at the school.

When she got home, her husband said, "Where's the car?"

She had to go all the way back to the school to get it.

And then when he went to high school

he started selling drugs,

and his parents found it under his mattress,

and his dad told him that if he didn't stop,

he had to get out of the house.

So he stayed at his friend's house,

kept doing drugs,

and he just bounced around, sleeping wherever he could.

- That sounds like a lot.

- It was a lot, and that's why it's so important

that we're doing his testimony, to share it.

So we started shooting Pastor Jimmy's story

with Pastor Jimmy playing Pastor Jimmy.

- Pastor Jimmy, he's been to jail quite a few times.

I'm not sure how many times,

but every time he went, his wife bailed him out.

- I'm so glad he got saved.

- That's because Jesus died for him.

- He died for you, he died for me,

he died for this whole world.

It's because he loves us.

Barabbas the murderer or Jesus,

the one whom you call the Christ?

I wash my hands of the innocent blood of this just man.

- Whenever I think about how Jesus died on the cross,

I'm always so shocked about his love and forgiveness.

- It's called agape love.

It's an unconditional love,

where he loves us no matter what.

When Jesus was at Cavalry,

there were two thieves beside him.

- Forgive them, Father.

They know not what they do.

- If you're the so-called Christ,

then why don't you save yourself and us?

For we are under the same condemnation,

but we are being rewarded for our actions.

He has done nothing wrong.

Have you ever heard of Pastor Jimmy's testimony?

- It's amazing how much God has changed Jimmy's life.

- Well, Jimmy was married, and he committed adultery.

He got his girlfriend pregnant.

When he was dealing drugs for a long time,

he ended up getting caught and he went to jail,

and then when he got out, he got busted for the same thing.

but God always has to start us from somewhere.

- [Jimmy] We weren't rich.

Rather, we were poor.

I didn't know that at first.

My dad was a truck driver.

My mom worked in a school cafeteria.

I thought you'd be home by now.

- Yeah, I'm sorry.

I just had to stop and take some time.

- I'm listening to Pastor Jimmy's testimony.

Pastor Jimmy's story and character

so that I can make a good movie.

So every chance I had, I listened to his testimony.

- [Jimmy] I thought about it for a little while,

then decided to go,

because I actually planned to sell cocaine

to all the guys that I met there.

Things didn't turn out the way I expected.

I actually got saved and gave my life to the Lord.

[gentle music]

- Hey, Christopher.

You're looking good.

- Prayer is working.

I'm reading my Bible like I used to.

I'm changing.

No more drugs.

- No more drugs?

I'm proud of you.

- Thank you for giving me a chance.

- That wasn't me.

That was all God.

- Pastor, look.

My body's not shaking no more.

- You're healed.

That's amazing.

- I'd like to share my testimony about how God delivered me.

- And you should.

God's done so much in your life,

and you should tell everyone.

You're making the right choice, and I'm proud of you.

After Pastor Jimmy was saved, he had a lot of zeal,

but he still drank and smoked.

He gathered people together

to perform a Christian play at the YMCA.

Many people showed up and wanted to watch the play.

They really were touched by it.

But afterwards, no pastors or Christian leaders

would acknowledge him or talk to him.

- Pastors are Christians,

and they didn't even want to talk to me.

- Is that what's bothering you?

- I don't understand why.

- Don't be bothered by that.

I mean, I liked the church you took me to last time.

- Yeah, well, I don't want to go back to our old church.

I know that.

It's too formal.

- You are still upset

that they wouldn't let you say "Amen" out loud.

- When I go to church, I want to feel freedom.

- You know, that was the only church I had ever been to.

I never thought I'd leave.

- Well, God's taken us to a different place.

- But how do you know that's God?

You tricked me into going to the last church.

- Well, you're happy now, right?

I'm just tired of it all.

All that drugs, this alcohol, all this stuff is,

I don't want to be controlled anymore.

[Jimmy sighing]

- As we were shooting Pastor Jimmy's movie,

a homeless brother, Christopher,

needed a lot of prayer and attention.

So as soon as shooting was over,

I would go back to the church and pray and minister to him.

- He's in LA, and he's struggling with a heroin addiction.

He's all alone and he's living in the streets.

He's just not ready to leave his life over there.

because he was bad for business.

After Pastor Jimmy stopped selling drugs,

they struggled financially.

He was trying to live a clean life,

but his wife wanted him to go back to selling drugs

just one time.

I'm not gonna sell drugs.

- We can just catch up on payments and then go back to God.

- No, no, I can't do that.

- My family's going through

a really difficult time right now.

- [Joe] Pastor Jimmy could not make his house payments,

so he sold his house for $2,500.

He and his family had to move in

with his wife's grandmother.

They lived all together in one bedroom.

He lost everything but their two cars.

- I can't believe you sold our home for $2,500,

and now we live in this tiny one room.

I don't really understand how it happened.

I was just so quick.

I stopped doing drugs.

- He's in his 80s.

He has cancer,

and he still doesn't want to change his lifestyle.

It's really hard to help somebody

who doesn't want to be helped.

- Only God can change Christopher's family.

- But God always gives us second chances.

- His love is powerful and unconditional.

After Pastor Jimmy met Jesus, he never gave up Jesus.

He continued to share his testimony

about how God delivered him, but the reality was

that he continued to struggle financially

and all his payments were behind.

- You know, we're three months behind again on payments.

- I know.

I'll pray on it.

- I just don't want to be homeless again with the children.

- God will do something.

I promise you.

- Every day I prayed to God to help me

to do a good job filming Pastor Jimmy's story.

Father God, give me strength and wisdom

to finish Jimmy's movie.

All things are possible through Christ.

He strengthens me.

Pastor Jimmy trusted God

with his life and his family,

and he kept working for God.

- Oh, well, God's been doing some great things around here.

- How do people know what you're doing around here?

- God knows.

- This is the problem with young ministers.

- I'm just trying to do the Lord's work.

I used to be a drug dealer, a user.

- [Joe] God used Pastor Bruce to connect Pastor Jimmy

to many pastors and businessmen.

Around the same time,

Christopher needed a lot of prayer and counseling.

- Pastor, my father was in the ICU again.

- Do you want me to go to the hospital and pray with him?

Being a pastor requires patience, love,

wisdom and prayer.

- His cancer is getting worse, and now he has pneumonia.

- I'm so sorry.

- You know, I really wish he would change his lifestyle.

He still works for the Mafia.

- Still, everything is in God's hands.

All we can do is pray.

One day after counseling a church member,

I immediately went back to the movie set

to talk to the production team and the actors.

Shooting Pastor Jimmy's testimony was going well.

for $100,000 for the ministry.

- They gave me four words and some scripture.

I just remember the $100,000.

- Well, God really shows up for His children.

Those business people have been working with me

real hard on etiquette, how to eat, talk, walk.

Now we're shooting the grand opening

of Pastor Jimmy's new church.

His church has been growing.

I asked our church members

to pray for the production team for me.

story and testimony, it's a miracle they got this church

11 years ago.

- [Joe] Pastor Jimmy's grand opening was very powerful.

- How much money did you have when you bought this building?

- We barely had any money,

but it seems like just yesterday my wife and I

were out there applying for food stamps

in line in this building.

- Wow, God must have a sense of humor,

because they were giving away physical food.

Now they're giving away spiritual food.

- They're always gonna do that, too.

I promise you that.

- But Pastor, honestly, how did you get this building?

- Through God, anything is possible.

- [Joe] I saw a big change in Christopher.

- You know, I used to read the Bible daily.

- How are you enjoying the daily Bible studies?

- I love it.

I don't miss a day of Bible study.

- Memorizing scripture brings peace to your soul.

- I agree.

My father, he just got out of the hospital

and he has no place to stay.

God is so patient and long suffering.

- Christopher's dad.

- His dad?

He sounds pretty old.

- He's not that old.

- 87.

- That's still pretty old.

- You gotta remember,

Moses started his ministry at 80 years old.

- I'm not gonna wait until 80 for my ministry.

I'm gonna be on set next time you guys are filming.

- That sounds good.

Just make sure you finish your homework first, okay?

- Yes, sir.

- I don't know why Pastor Joe wants to help me.

- That's what Christians do, jefe.

- [Joe] His father moved onto the church property,

and Christopher was able to minister to his father.

- God changed me.

It was all God.

- You have nothing over there.

They don't even want you there.

- It's gotta be like that, son.

- [Joe] London came at just the right time

to help us shoot Jimmy's movie,

but her school vacation was quickly over,

so she had to go back to school.

- How's the filming for the movie going?

- Good.

We only have two days left.

- I wish I could stay and help.

- Filming this last scene's gonna be rough.

I can't imagine losing my daughter like that.

- Especially one so young.

- When's your next break?

- Soon.

- [Joe] We are preparing to shoot

a very sad part of Jimmy's story.

His daughter, Victoria,

went to Corpus Christi with her friends.

Filming the last two days were extremely hard and emotional.

Everything was going to change.

- Dad, don't forget tomorrow I'm going to Corpus.

- Drive carefully.

- I will.

- Victoria, you know you're still 19,

and that doesn't mean

that you can just go wherever, whenever.

You still have to keep us updated, okay?

- Hey mom, if it helps, I could drive with her.

- Okay.

- [Joe] Pastor Jimmy and his wife and children

can never have imagined what was coming to their life.

[dramatic music]

[sirens blaring]

[door knocking]

- The chief of police

stood at the front of my door and knocked.

He told me that my 19-year-old daughter, Victoria,

was in a rollover car accident.

She passed away along with two other children,

ages five and seven.

They died all together.

That night, I texted her a few times

up until 12 o'clock midnight,

and she told me she was on her way.

The death of my daughter was the hardest hit of my life,

even after everything else I've gone through.

Her death was my lowest point.

That Sunday,

that Sunday I did my own daughter's funeral.

It was a pain you can't explain.

- [Joe] He lost his beloved, sweet daughter,

but nothing stopped him from preaching the gospel of Jesus.

His faith in God and love for God went out to many places.

People listened to his testimony,

and it gave encouragement and strength

to those who lost their loved ones.

Many come back to God and drew close to God.

The Word says we are all appointed to die once.

No one will live forever.

Even at this hour, Jesus is preparing a place

for his church, you and me and every believer.

- In John 14, verses two and three, it says,

"In my father's house, there are many mansions.

If it were not so, I would've told you.

I go to prepare a place for you,

and if I go to prepare a place for you,

I will come again and receive you to myself,

that where I am, you may be also."

God is preparing a place for us in heaven.

Even now, He's working as a carpenter for us in heaven.

- I want to be a carpenter too, just like Jesus.

- Jesus was also a teacher.

- A savior, provider, a healer.

- I think it's a little too much.

- Just know that Jesus is always working for us,

his children, 24/7.

He never stops.

He will always give us a second chance, a third chance,

unlimited chances, because he loves us.
