The 73 -story U .S. Bank Tower.

The tallest building west of the Mississippi was designed to be occupied

more than 100 years.

It was also built to survive the Big One, an earthquake measuring at least 7

on the Richter scale.

But how long will it stand without human maintenance?

We shall see.

Los Angeles is nearly unrecognizable.

Downtown, the U .S. Bank Tower burns from the inside out. Our nation must

condemn racism, bigotry, and white supremacy.

These sinister ideologies must be defeated.

Hate has no place in America.

Hatred warps the mind, ravages the heart, and devours the soul.

We must recognize that the Internet has provided a dangerous avenue to

radicalize, disturb minds and perform demented acts.

We must shine light on the dark recesses of the Internet and stop mass murders

before they start.

Where were you on September 11th?

You know, I was home.

The only reason I wanted where I was every morning subsequent to the 26th day

of July, my mornings were spent usually at a breakfast

meeting at Windows, an 8 o 'clock breakfast meeting, Windows, the top of

And then going down to visit with my tenants, my new tenants at the Trade

Center, getting to know them, understanding their problems and so

ascertaining how we could service their needs better.

The structural steel frame withstands the searing heat.

It can endure temperatures of over 2 ,000 degrees Fahrenheit without

degradation.

And which is one of the first things you do when you acquire a property. You

begin to meet your tenants and start talking with them.

And so my mornings were spent at the Trade Center, and then by noon I was

uptown. And so...

That particular morning, because I have light -colored hair and fair skin and an

annuity to the dermatologist, my wife, God bless her, had made an appointment

for me at the doctor.

But the interior spaces grew quickly, turning L .A.'s tallest building into a

charred skeleton.

It's 50 years into a life after people.

Now 200 years overdue, the big one, an earthquake measuring 8 .0, hits

Los Angeles.

And I remember dressing to go to the doctor. I'm finally saying to my wife, I

said, sweetheart, I've got so much to do downtown.

I've got to cancel this. I've got to go downtown.

And she said, you're not going to cancel this appointment. You're going to the

dermatologist.

I've been married now to the same woman for 46 years. You get the sense of

determination on occasion, their voices. And I said, okay, yes, dear, I'll go.

The U .S. Bank Tower is a charred, teetering steel skeleton.

And then just minutes later, I received a telephone call to turn on a television

set and witnessed this horrendous...

Circumstance, first plane hitting and then the second plane hitting, of

with the second hit, it became obvious that this was terrorism.

The top 21 floors have earthquake -damping struts installed between

But after wildfire damage and years without maintenance, they can't bend off

inevitable.

But thereafter was absolute hell because so many of our people were

down there.

We were in occupancy, temporary occupancy of the 88th floor of the North

prior to moving permanently into the 91st floor of the North Tower.

And so my children, Roger and Lisa both worked with me. They

were on their way to work at 9 o 'clock.

Many others.

about 100 people with us on their way to work.

And as it turns out, had the plane struck 15 minutes later, our firm would

been decimated.

As it is, we lost four of our people, two of whom I had hired just a few weeks

prior to that.

And there are six children among them.

And it was a...

It was a horrendous, horrendous experience.

I got a lot of memories of that casino. It was a neat one.

We just wanted to see it.

Oh, I'm going to miss it.

We could hear the rumble of the explosions, and then in a matter of

seconds, the former Trump Plaza casino came crumbling down.

People were cheering, some who stood watching the implosion through their

sunroofs, or in a truck bed with their cell phones out, taking photos and

It's somewhat of a tradition for us, because we've watched them blow down the

Playboy, the Sands, the Dunes, and the Mayflower Hotel.

The last recognizable edifice still standing in Los Angeles was the heavily

corroded U .S. Bank Tower.

The steel skyscraper survived the wildfire that charred the rest of

and much of the L .A. basin.

The big one snapped off its top 21 floors.

The lower 52 floors defied the odds for hundreds of years.

Trump Plaza was built in 1984 and closed in 2014.

Almost everyone here today witnessing history had a story to share. A security

guard who met Gloria Estefan, a roulette table mechanic who worked here 23 years

and says this place fed his family. In its heyday, the plaza was home to not

just gambling, but high -profile boxing matches and concerts.

David Sykes was there for the Tyson vs.

in the summer of 1988.

Trump was there with all the bigwigs in town sitting around the ring. You could

see him because he had a pink tie on.

First pull on a slot machine, I win 50 bucks. I mean, you know, when you're 21,

you're, oh, yeah.

A moderate quake finally brings down the weak infrastructure.

The land's owner, developer, and billionaire Carl Icahn has yet to say

happen here at this now wide -open piece of prime oceanfront real estate.

Pick a destination.

Vegas, baby.

Lather on that sunscreen and unleash an ancient apocalyptic curse. You're really

funny. No, seriously.

Frankie Muniz and Barry Bostwick. This has been a pretty eventful spring break

already. Las Vegas, an original movie, premieres this Thursday at 9, only on

SyFy. I love this crazy town.

A moderate quake finally bring down the weakened structure.

You think you're possessed?

No.

My fetus is.

The evil season finale, Thursday on CBS.

All right, Donna, go ahead.

665. 665.

Go ahead, sir.

I'm going to go.

Closed captioning is provided by the following.

The world of medicine has seen its share of miracle cures, from the polio

vaccine to heart transplants, but all past achievements may pale in comparison

to the work of Dr. Alice Crippen.

Thank you so much for joining us this morning. So, Dr. Crippen, give it to me

a nutshell.

Well, the premise is quite simple.

Take something designed by nature and reprogram it to make it work for the

rather than against it.

You're talking about a virus.

Indeed, yes, in this case, the measles virus, which has been engineered at a

genetic level to be helpful rather than harmful.

And I find the best way to describe it is if you can imagine your body as a

highway and you picture the virus as a very fast car being driven by a very bad

man, imagine the damage that car could cause.

But then if you replace that man with a cop,

the picture changes. And that's essentially what we've done.

So is this as big as it sounds? I think it potentially is. I mean, it's very

early days. So basically, they've discovered that if they use the same

technology that they use for COVID and they use some mRNA, which is a messenger

part of DNA, they take your particular cancer, they biopsy it, they

take some of the protein on your cancer and they put it back into your cells and

they tell your cells to make that protein.

The idea is that your body then makes antibodies against it. It gets the

cells, the T cells, the ones we heard about lots in COVID.

And so

then,

after you've been treated for your cancer...

If any of those cells are still floating around or if any of them start to come

back and multiply, your own immune system will recognize them from that

and kill it.

Now, melanoma is a hideous cancer.

And if you get recurrence from any cancer, really, but especially from

you're going to die.

How many people have you treated so far?

Well, we've had 10 ,009 clinical trials in humans so far. And how many are

cancer free?

10 ,009.

You know, it's going to kill you. It's not nice.

So to have something that might stop that happening, I think is game

think it will change the way that we develop many, many cancer treatments.

It's very early days. We're years away from seeing this in practice. They've

even recruited patients yet onto the trial. But in mice, it stops the cancer

recurring in 50 % of cases.

Now, 50 % is better than 0 % or 1%. So, you know, I think that's really, really

encouraging.

So you have actually cured cancer?

Yes, yes.

Yes, we have.

I

think there

are a couple of things that we're going to need to know as time goes forward.

I want to know that the mRNA technology is completely safe.

And I think that we need some more long -term data, which will obviously come

with these studies, to know that interfering with the DNA and RNA in our

is actually potentially safe. But we did it with COVID.

We did, and there are oncologists now calling for it to be stopped.

the mRNA technology.

So there is still debate around that. And I think it's good. We need debate,

we need open debate where we really can look. The other thing is going to be

cost. So we're looking with this particular vaccine at £400 ,000 per

But surely the treatment of somebody who has melanoma and all the things that go

with it.

It's far more expensive than that. And then the cancer can return, so then

you're going to be paying again.

Yeah, so this isn't going to stop the cancer in the first place. This is

But once you've had it, then you can use this technology to stop it. So you'll

still have to have all the treatments to get rid of it initially.

You will.

And then this will hopefully stop recurrence.

Because otherwise you'd have to inject it at everybody in case they ever got it

and you wouldn't have any sample protein to do it. You wouldn't have initial

DNA. You'd need to do it. So you've got to have the cancer to start with.

First we must... do a better job of identifying and acting on early warning

signs. I am directing the Department of Justice to work in partnership with

local, state, and federal agencies, as well as social media companies to

tools that can detect mass shooters before they strike.

Third, we must reform our mental health laws to better identify mentally

disturbed individuals.

who may commit acts of violence and make sure those people not only get

treatment, but when necessary, involuntary confinement.

Don't you need you need a Brazilian plastic surgeon?

I've got one that can see.

Are you listening to me, Neil?

Or were you looking at the woman in the red dress?

I was again.

I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators, yet not

altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or

extortioners, or with idolaters, for then must ye needs go out of the world.

But now I have written unto you not to keep company if any man that is called a

brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a

drunkard, or an extortioner.

with such an one know not to eat.

For what have I to do to judge them also that are without?

Do not ye judge them that are within?

But them that are without God judges.

Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

The gains have been substantial, both for ourselves and for you.

The human, power, elite. You have given us entree to the resources we need in

our ongoing quest for multidimensional expansion.

You still don't get it, do you, boys?

There ain't no countries anymore.

No more good guys.

They're running the whole show.

They own everything.

He's a tall, Caucasian male.

Doesn't appear armed.

Wearing sunglasses.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass.

And I'm all out of bubble tea.

Thank you.
