Today on Science and Environment, horses can communicate with us. Let's look

more into this story.

Horses have joined a select group of animals that can communicate by pointing

symbols.

Scientists trained horses by offering slices of carrots as an incentive to

board with their muzzle to indicate if they wanted to wear a rug.

We'll see more than 2 ,500 delegates from more than 180 countries coming

together in Johannesburg.

While there are three proposals affecting lions, sharks, rhinos,

pangolins, and dozens of other species, the main focus will be on the elephants.

There have been growing international concerns about the surge in poaching for

ivory that has seen the elephant numbers plummet by 30 % just in the past seven

on the illicit trade in elephant products.
