RIZO: Last night,

I got to show these icons

my strategic chops and why I was chosen

to play season 50.

I did everything I set out to do.

I got my number one target out of the game,

pocketed my idol, and I gained three allies,

being Dee, Kamilla and Cirie.

So, all in all, Operation Bad Blood

was a success.

DEE: I'm sorry,

and thank you for taking it so well, too.

Like, I'm actually shocked.

- Yeah. - At the way you took it.

I don't know.

I am

distraught. I have never had this happen

to me in Survivor, ever.

I've never been blindsided.

But season 50 is so crazy

that I didn't even catch

that they were voting Charlie, my own alliance.

DEE: We were just all scared

that maybe you would tell Charlie.

- Yeah. - So we couldn't take that risk.

- You know what I mean? - Yeah.

Do you think that y'all would still want

to try to work together?

DEE: We need each other.

That's what I thought.

I hope that

you and Kamilla really would work with me,

- 'cause I... I'm loyal. - 100%. 100%.

JONATHAN: I think there's room

for me to get back in the game.

If I can work with Dee and Kamilla

and get them to trust me, maybe I can stay alive.

DEE: To make it to this point

on 50? Are you kidding me?

- JONATHAN: So long, Cila. - Cila.

JONATHAN: We'll never see you again.

DEE: But at the same time,

it's a little bit scary.

DEE: 'Cause we got 17 people on one beach.

[cheering and shouting]

DEE: I've been waiting

to play even harder.

And this is it. This is the moment.

OZZY: "Drop your Buffs"...!

[shouting]

- What?! - EMILY: No!

OZZY: "Your fellow castaways

will be joining you soon."

- What the... - Come on.

- [Emily screaming] - Oh, my God.

STEPHENIE We're gonna have visitors.

There's literally 17 people in the game with 14 days left.

That means this game

is about to go crazy.

- Hey. - This is the largest merge ever.

OZZY: It's unknown what's gonna happen next.

So I need to get to Emily

and tell her about this secret

that I've been holding so she feels good

with me, we can go forward

as a... as a strong and tight alliance.

And I just want to say, like, I did have a problem

trusting you in the beginning, and it's taken...

with Emily and Christian.

you built the trust back.

My relationship with Ozzy's been complicated.

I have been working my tail off to earn his trust back

before anything big like this happens.

as a gesture of trust.

And then he gives it back to me.

he does trust me enough.

I'm thankful for that, 'cause we need an army,

'cause the... the enemies are at the gates now.

RIZO: All of these players from 50 seasons of Survivor

I wish I could tell you I know what to expect,

but I really don't.

But I'm here for the ride, baby,

so I'm buckled in.

OZZY: All right, everybody.

- CHRISSY: Oh, here it is. - OZZY: We'll just go around

and everyone grab one.

Wait, we're getting our actual Buffs?

Christian. I know we had a big falling out, and said

we never wanted to see each other again.

RICK: Christian and I were so tight on original Cila,

and that's who I was having the most fun with.

So now we can get the gang back together. This is awesome.

RICK: Everything I know about the idols

and advantages is

Christian found the Billie Eilish Boomerang idol,

which he sent to Aubry, and I'm taking credit for.

RICK: Christian and I planted the fake idol

at Tribal, which is just sitting there

ready to be used. I can't wait.

But outside of that, I don't really know what's out there.

But that's enough.

The most exciting thing I learned today.

Aubry has an idol.

Aubry has a Boomerang idol.

Aubry is someone that I wanted to get out

since the beginning of this game, so,

number one item on my agenda:

discredit Aubry.

Yeah, I heard that.

Devens said he found the Billie Eilish Boomerang idol

and sent it to Aubry.

Apparently, Rick... There's some kind of idol

called a Boomerang idol.

And he allegedly has that?

- sent it to Aubry. - He didn't tell you that?

- Uh, yeah, he told me you do. - Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Yeah. So, yeah.

It was nice to know everybody knows about it.

Yeah.

AUBRY: Man, I wish people didn't know I had the idol,

but everyone is connected five ways to Sunday.

How did you find out about Aubry?

- Cirie just told me. - Okay, then.

GENEVIEVE: Information is

flowing on this beach,

so I decided

to share my own information

and let Ozzy know his idol--

it came from me.

You know I found

- the Boomerang idol. - Yes.

Rizo was part of the decision to send it to you.

Is Ozzy supposed to know

that I know that you gave it to him?

Yeah, I think you're good.

So Genevieve sent Ozzy an idol.

It's a Boomerang idol. It's called

the Billie Eilish Boomerang idol.

GENEVIEVE: Everybody else is whispering

about all the other things

that are out there, but no one knows

about my second Billie Eilish Boomerang idol

that I gave to Rizo.

Yes.

- I thought you gave it to me. - No.

GENEVIEVE: I want an idol out there

that if it does boomerang back to me,

people don't know about it. So,

no one knows I gave it to Rizo,

and no one ever will.

I never told you this, but I have an idol.

But it sounded like it was common knowledge.

OZZY: I'm starting to find out that

everybody, pretty much, knows about my idol,

and that's a... that's a big bummer.

I thought it was gonna be a secret, and it's not, so...

- [laughs] It never is, dude. - Good...

good for me.

The amount of information

that's floating around between these 17

castaways is astronomical.

You just have to collect as much of it as you possibly can

from every single person.

Then Rizo tells me

somebody sent him a Boomerang idol.

So Rizo has one, I have one,

- Yup. - and Aubry has one.

- Yup. - All right.

But once he told me that,

and he was like, "I want to lock in with you and Ozzy,"

- I did tell him about the extra vote. - Yeah.

- So only... only... - Only us three know.

Only us three know.

CIRIE: Rizo and Ozzy share the same place in my heart.

I'm in a poly relationship now

with Rizo and Ozzy.

I talked to Genevieve, and I said,

"Who were your people in Kalo?"

She told me the people that she was

working with were her, Colby and Joe.

And Colby is tight with Coach.

And I think Stephenie is in with them.

- Old school. - All old school.

The new era mindset is,

"I can vote with my archenemy

"for one vote, for

two votes, and then I can get them out.

I just want to advance in this game."

The old era style is, "I stick with

the people I said I was gonna stick with, and that's it."

And I think that's where

the old-era thinking

is gonna have a problem.

COACH: Ooh, wait. One,

two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.

You are everything I wanted to be

- on my first Survivor. - Dude, that means a lot, Coach.

And I just could not make it happen.

JONATHAN: I've been waiting

for this moment where we can all get together,

and we can talk.

JONATHAN: I've been wanting to talk to all

these people, these legends

that I've been seeing at these challenges.

I will be solid with you if you're being solid with me.

- Yes. - Well, and that's...

And I know Colby is solid.

- Uh, yup. - Colby is super solid.

JONATHAN: A lot of the old-schoolers

want to work with me

just because of what they saw in season 42.

They know that I'm a loyal player.

I'm gonna be what I was,

but I'm not gonna stop there.

I'm gonna make relationships

that I wouldn't have normally made.

How are you feeling?

- In the game? - Yeah.

On my first tribe, I think I didn't really have a bead

on what was going on.

Well, the good thing about this is it's a new start.

- It is. - For both of us.

- Like, the whole thing is... - Yeah. It really is.

It's all up in the air.

There's 17 killers, right?

You have to be open

to 17 different perspectives all the time.

Just know that nothing has changed

- with you and me and Kamilla. - Oh, same with you.

JONATHAN: I'm getting ready 'cause I know

this next half of the game

is gonna be so extreme.

- You got me. - You too.

And when I hear anything...

I am.

- Let's go, Dee. - All right.

- Let's go all the way. - Yeah.

It's almost like a rebirth

of Survivor, this season 50, because

no one knows what to expect.

It's so... mysterious.

Season 50's no joke.

♪ ♪

- [overlapping chatter] - What? - A boat.

TIFFANY: So this morning, a boat pulls up,

and I was hoping that a merge feast is on the way.

And then we pull out. It's just a regular boat

with one man on it, no food, no plates, nothing.

And he got an envelope in his hand.

"Read with all tribemates together."

- We're all here. - Ooh! - Yeah.

"Hidden in the jungle is a twist that could change everything.

First to find it claims it."

AUBRY: There's a twist, and it could change

the trajectory of everything.

We're in the most dangerous part of the game because

everyone's kind of at a standoff.

What kind of move is everyone gonna make first?

This could throw a wrench in the whole darn thing.

Ready? Go.

CIRIE: The sharks were out.

This just set them loose. There was, like, a little piece

of mesh holding them back.

And the second that clue was read, the mesh

just popped, and the sharks were all loose at one time.

And I'm just trying not to get bitten.

RICK: It's a scramble, and I'm at a mad dash, man.

I was out of there quicker than anybody.

I'm like Usain Bolt.

And then I find Aubry, like a mountain goat,

up to a place that I didn't think she can get to.

I'm waiting for her to go, "Baa!"

RIZO: Everybody's jogging into the woods.

People are running to the beach.

And I'm thinking, "God, everybody's running

"so hard for this. Like, I'm gonna just chill and relax,

"'cause the odds of me finding it

are very slim."

COLBY: We have no idea what to look for or what's out there.

We just know that

it's somewhere in this vast jungle.

Unfortunately, back on day nine,

I hyperextended my foot, and I can't hobble fast,

let alone run, but I'm not giving up.

CHRISTIAN: My strategy is just

to maximize my chances of finding this thing.

That way

I have some control over whatever this giant twist is.

So keep moving. You don't stop long,

and you identify landmarks.

Landmark, tree. No.

- OZZY: Yeah, with somebody. - EMILY: Wait.

OZZY: I love playing Survivor, and

and I do not want to be voted out of this game, so,

if this is actually an advantage, this is huge.

So who should I choose?

You want them around.

OZZY: Who do I possibly take

where it doesn't look like

I'm either working with them or working against them?

There's really only one answer.

Who's the one person that nobody knows anything about?

Who's the one person that we haven't seen play?

Who's the one person who's sort of

the odd man out at this point?

- Rizo. - [Survivors exclaiming]

- Me and you, buddy. - RIZO: All right.

RIZO: I put on a big smile,

and in the back of my head, I'm like,

"This is terrible."

Because I will have no idea

what's happening back at camp.

If they're doing an immunity challenge,

if one person's getting voted out,

if two people's getting voted out.

But Ozzy and I get on this boat to Exile Island

for what can either be an adventure of a lifetime

or the scariest night of my life.

Got a lot of fun here.

RICK: Oh, Jeff.

STEPHENIE: Oh, boy.

All right. Look at

- everybody together. - Whoo!

First things first. Aubry, let's get rid of that.

Tribal immunity is no more.

[Chrissy sighs]

All right. So,

when we were putting together

this season, we had one goal.

We wanted to do our best

to make it memorable.

And in order for something to be memorable, it's got to be rare.

That's what makes it special.

So we did a couple things we've never done before.

Twenty-four players-- most ever. We also

turned the entire show over to the fans.

They voted for the type of game they wanted you to play.

And when it came to twists,

63% said, "I love twists.

Bring 'em on."

So today, a twist... for the fans.

- [laughing]: For the fans. - PROBST: A twist

so memorable, so rare,

it will cause the entire Survivor world

to pause and take notice,

because it's never happened before.

- Oh, my gosh. - PROBST: We thought

this twist could use a metaphor,

something to give it a little shape, a little form.

So we started by asking ourselves,

"Well, what is it about

"the Survivor experience that makes it unique

in the first place?"

And that is, while playing this game,

you live in nature,

you deal with it every day.

The rain, the ocean, the blazing sun.

And then it dawned on us.

Nature itself offers

a perfect metaphor for what's gonna happen today.

Because, every so often in nature,

an event happens that is so memorable and so rare,

the entire world pauses to take notice.

That is a total lunar eclipse.

That is when the Earth's shadow covers the moon

and turns it a deep,

foreboding red.

And we call it a blood moon.

Ancient civilizations

feared a blood moon.

They saw it as a warning.

A sign of upheaval,

even impending doom.

And that's how you should see it as well.

Because tonight,

Survivor will have its own version

of a blood moon.

And just like in nature,

it will cast a shadow over the entire Survivor game.

And it will never be the same again.

Because tonight, not one...

...not two...

...but three players will

- have their torches snuffed. - Oh, my God. - STEPHENIE: Wow.

PROBST: The most ever in a single night.

A moment so memorable and rare,

it will forever change the game.

- Wow. - You wanted big.

We're doing our best.

Let me explain how it's gonna work.

For today's challenge,

you're gonna use your hands and arms

to brace against two walls

while your feet balance on very narrow footholds.

At regular intervals, we will move farther down

to a more narrow foothold, making it more difficult.

If you drop, you're out.

And just to make it a little more dangerous,

we're gonna randomly divide you

into three groups of five.

The person who lasts the longest

with each group earns individual immunity.

This is the immunity necklace

- for Survivor 50. - [Survivors quietly exclaiming]

- That's beautiful. - PROBST: 84% wanted this, and it's a beauty.

the fans voted for twists, and apparently, lots of 'em,

and this is Jeff's

sick version of a twist.

He's getting rid of three people in one night.

It's about to be a bloodbath.

That's what Blood Moon means when I hear it.

Anybody who's making it out of here alive,

it's a miracle, and I hope that

God's favorite makes it out alive. That's all I can say.

OZZY: So Rizo and I-- we are on Exile Island,

and we don't know what's happening at camp tonight.

We don't know if there was a challenge.

We don't know if there was the merge feast.

But there's a chance that this might actually be a good thing.

Yeah, there's no food and there's no fire.

But I'm willing to take the hard night 'cause it means

I potentially have a chance

to skip Tribal.

I've had to go to every single Tribal Council in a row.

Now I find myself halfway through the game

with a chance to breathe.

For me, I'm in the perfect place,

perfect time.

It's just heaven.

I'm in heaven.

I don't know if you have seen one of these.

OZZY: Before I came to Exile, Cirie told me

that you need to get good with Rizo.

Of course, I trust Cirie's instincts 100%.

She vouched for him, and that's as good as gold.

You need to play with people that have your back.

And I told Cirie that right off the jump.

Um, and I'll tell you something, too.

And this is how you know I'm locked and loaded.

I have the third idol.

- Dude, are you kidding me? - I swear.

STEPHENIE: So there's gonna be how many left after this?

- TIFFANY: Fourteen. - Wow.

TIFFANY: I'm happy with the group that I landed with.

I have two of my very strong

allies from my original beach--

Kamilla and Jonathan.

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that things go

the way we want them to go.

TIFFANY: Chrissy has not tried to work with me

one single time since we've been here-- 13 days.

I don't want her on the jury.

of my season 50 Survivor experience

and opening the next chapter. Chrissy cannot be a part of it.

- Yup. - Never been to this beach.

- Christian, incredible job. - Thank you.

It was hard fought by everyone.

RICK: Oh, do we have things to do?

[laughs]

AUBRY: The Blood Moon is seriously

the biggest twist in Survivor history.

Three groups are going to Tribal Council, and

I'm going with Joe,

Christian, Devens and Genevieve.

I'm really happy about three of those people,

not so much about one.

RICK: All right, I would love more than anything

for this to be a simple vote.

What are y'all thinking?

AUBRY: How do you feel about Genevieve?

- Have you had conversations with her? - A couple,

but it's very... on the edges.

But what happens if we go Genevieve

and she plays something?

Idol, obviously, bad news, but...

- So here's the thing. - Go ahead.

AUBRY: I have the idol

- from you. - Mm-hmm.

I'm using that.

CHRISTIAN: You're using it regardless?

- I'm using it. - Yeah. - Good. Good.

I'm getting through the Blood Moon. I am not ... around.

AUBRY: Christian and Devens are tight.

And Devens gave me my idol.

So the three of us need to come together

and take out Genevieve.

She has no interest in working with me.

That door is

shut closed, tighter than Fort Knox.

So, this is my best chance to vote her out.

If you play yours, you're immune. I'm immune.

- You know, that leaves me. - AUBRY: Or...

RICK: I just am the only one of these three that's unsafe.

CHRISTIAN: So we have to really blindside her.

So we have to tell her some kind of really convincing story.

Okay.

Aubry-- we know she has an idol.

So we're gonna vote for Rick Devens.

- 'Cause... - And who's gonna be with us?

It's gonna be you, me, and Christian is the swing.

Listen, if this plan goes ...,

they're voting me out anyways, not you.

Either way, you're fine.

And best-case scenario, Devens goes home.

JOE: All I have at this point is Genevieve,

who I've built a solid relationship with,

but that's only two.

Still, she's putting

to work her master plan

of trying to flip this thing around.

You're gonna be fine either way.

Well, uh, I'm with you.

They want my head on a stick, not yours.

JOE: I'm trying to go into it with a positive mind,

but if this doesn't work,

we're just sitting ducks.

GENEVIEVE: I

genuinely want to work with you.

- Yes. - And I feel like

- if I survive tonight, I'm well-positioned. - Yes.

I would like you to be well-positioned with me,

and I've been trying to make those inroads,

and all I keep hearing is you and Devens are close.

- Wow. - So if you haven't heard people saying that,

that's because what I'm telling you is true,

and you are being lumped in

with the "rats to deal with" before the war.

After we did the rock draw and I see my group,

I go, "I'm screwed,"

because the word around camp is

Aubry has an idol. It was given to her by Devens,

who is also here.

And as far as I've heard,

Christian and Devens are extremely close in this game.

And it's just a matter of,

do they want to send me or Joe home tonight?

So, I'm trying to convince Christian that

I want to work with him, that there is a future,

and it's a better future if you go with me and Joe.

- Okay. - If me or Joe goes tonight...

But if Rick is no longer here, that's no longer an issue.

That's what you're more than implying at this point.

That's what I'm flat-out saying.

CHRISTIAN: Genevieve's one of the most dangerous players

in this game.

She is talented,

knows how to marshal a vote, and

she's smooth as velvet.

All deadly qualities.

You are someone I really can see myself,

like, collaborating with

and playing with, and if you can keep up with me,

- I can keep up with you. - Yeah.

Uh, uh, we-we should get back to other people,

and we definitely will circle back, but

if you want to get out Devens, that's okay by me.

I need Genevieve

to believe that I am being turned,

because I don't want her playing an idol.

I don't want her playing her Shot in the Dark, but

in reality, I don't want to vote out Rick.

He's by number one.

That's something I take very seriously.

She's trying to pitch me to vote for you.

- Uh... - Very nice.

If this is her ploy, she's desperate.

- Yeah. - She's desperate right now.

RICK: But, like, Genevieve--

there's a risk that she has something.

Right.

And I think we're both 99% positive that Joe has nothing.

Correct.

RICK: I'm very nervous

that if we put everything on Genevieve,

I end up going home.

And Joe is the one

who I'm most confident doesn't have an advantage. Plus,

Joe and I had a little bit of a rough patch.

And we've been coming at each other ever since.

So, I don't want Joe on the jury.

Because do I think Joe

is gonna vote for my game at the end?

I really don't.

If he's gone, he's not on the jury,

and I'm safe tonight.

Here's the thing.

Genevieve is dangerous.

She's like a friggin' Terminator.

GENEVIEVE: He told me he wants to do Rick.

I don't know.

I'm working through in my head, are they playing me.

RICK: There's the small risk of voting Genevieve,

but there's no risk voting Joe.

Oh.

RICK: I'm freaking out.

And I like to be cool as a cucumber,

and I do not feel like a cucumber.

I feel like a spicy pickle.

Like, I'm tingling everywhere, I'm nervous.

This is a huge decision,

and if we get it wrong, it's game over.

COLBY: How crazy is it that it's three Tribal Councils?

Three people gone is insane.

The challenge went phenomenal for me because

look at this beauty.

This is the prettiest immunity necklace

I've ever seen in my life.

I'm safe.

I'm good with Cirie.

I'm good with Emily.

So that basically leaves Colby and Coach

up to grabs.

And guess what? You're gonna sit,

you're gonna shake,

you're gonna roll over for me,

'cause you're gonna be my little puppies tonight.

- DEE: How did that happen again? - COLBY: It was in

that challenge on day nine

- when we were pushing the boats up the ramp. - DEE: Yes.

And I thought I just hyperextended my toes.

EMILY: Oh, my God. I'm so sorry.

And it's either a stress fracture or a torn ligament.

It's not looking too good for me.

I come into this with a heavy injury

that certainly didn't help me in the challenge itself.

But worse than that,

I lost my vote early in the game,

still don't have it back, which means not only

am I a sitting duck because I don't have a vote,

but I also can't play my Shot in the Dark tonight.

So, uh, things don't look good at this point.

COACH: Colby's like a friggin' sitting duck.

- He sucks. - I know his toe doesn't work.

He's, like, literally a lame duck.

DEE: Mm-hmm. So that could be, like, easy picking,

I guess, for everybody.

I think we wait on that.

Like, if I... I mean, if it... I'm, uh...

If it were me, I would say Emily,

because Emily, last night, said,

"Dee, Tiffany, Chrissy."

That's the order that she wants out.

- Okay. - I'm just telling you.

She said it to you last night?

- She said it to me last night. - Okay.

- Yup. - Why didn't you tell me before?

Everybody likes saying out names, you know?

- Right, right. - So...

COACH: I told Dee

that last night, Emily threw her name out.

And Dee immediately-- 'cause she's a friggin' great player--

said, "Well, Coach, why didn't you tell me?"

I mean, literally.

I mean, that's my foot in my mouth right there.

Why didn't I tell you?

I could not tell her the truth at that point.

So I had to hem and haw, and, you know, "Emily."

And, "We just met her, and she's... from tribe of five."

And... [speaks gibberish]

And I'm just like, "Okay, you moron.

You will not do that twice."

That could have put a target on my back.

And I'm so mad at myself for doing that.

I got to get my crap together.

And I got to be more patient.

I can't jump the gun like that.

DEE: Coach is so annoying.

He's pitching you hard.

And he told me that this morning you told him

that the list of people going home? Me first.

- What? - He told me that.

- Okay, Coach, whatever. Um... - What an ick.

He's so messy.

Also, this is the weirdest

- pre-Tribal Council ever. - Yeah.

Colby doesn't have a vote. So it's...

Yeah, Cirie. Yeah.

Coach is confusing to me

because his style of gameplay is not

as laid-back and as chill,

I guess, as you would imagine.

Colby is just sitting back.

He's not doing much. He's tending the fire.

That's his strategy.

Coach is doing the exact opposite.

He's just actively lying to people.

It's like this really aggressive form of gameplay, which I guess

you could describe as

being a little bit more akin to the new era.

But he's so incredibly obvious about it

that it's like, "Are you just this oblivious,

"or is this some, like, 3D chess that you're going on here,

where you want us to have this perception of you?"

I-I just can't make sense of it.

So here's the thing.

I'm, like, open-minded. I'm, like, whatever.

- I'm down for whatever you want to do. - Yeah.

Like, whatever you and Cirie...

- 'Cause I... - Me too.

- Exactly. - Yeah.

Colby can leave tomorrow.

- Exactly. - Let's get Coach out now.

EMILY: Colby does have an injury

that is seemingly getting worse.

So on one hand, I'm like, "Okay, well, we vote out Coach.

"Maybe this is like a two-birds, one-stone situation

"if Colby is eventually pulled from the game

in a couple of hours."

I mean, why would we vote off somebody

who's just gonna leave the game anyway?

I don't think you got that right.

Coach is not gonna be as impactful to that alliance,

but I'll do whatever.

Emily's argument was that Colby's gonna be,

probably, taken out of the game

because of his foot anyway.

[sucks teeth]

I don't think that's gonna happen,

but you can't tell these young kids nothing.

[laughing] Just like at home, they don't listen.

No. Why? Should I?

Taking Coach instead of Colby

is taking the tail off the snake and not the head.

I'm looking at it from a point of view,

- who is the leader of this - Group.

- aggressive group they trying to get? - Mm-hmm.

- Yeah, it's definitely not Coach. - And what damage

- is gonna happen when the leader is gone? - Mm-hmm.

- Yeah. - Colby runs that group.

DEE: I've been working this game with Cirie.

Cirie's my girl. However,

I'm working with Emity. That's also my girl.

So the question is,

am I voting for Coach or am I voting for Colby?

I want both of them out.

Who's gonna

help me get further along in this game?

Here's what I was thinking.

In one way...

[sighs]

...Coach and I are kind of interchangeable.

You take either one of us out, it's good for your game.

So, what about this?

You save me tonight.

Tomorrow when we merge on that beach...

Mm-hmm.

...I pull the other ones in.

- Mm-hmm. - Stephenie, Chrissy,

Joe, whomever.

And just tell them, with you there,

- with you there, saying... - Yeah. I would appreciate that.

saying, "Dee stuck her neck out for me last night.

"Let's work together.

- "Let's not target Dee. - Mm-hmm.

We got a lot of other targets on this beach."

I can assure you, I have more influence

over them than Coach does.

DEE: I don't know Colby too much, but I really like him.

That's the weird thing about Colby.

I feel like he's sincere,

which is hard to find in this game.

Coach, I think, is so shady.

When he talks strategy, it just doesn't hit for me.

It just feels very opportunistic.

So tonight, for me, it's all about

who can help me progress in this game.

And to be honest, right now, I'm uncertain.

STEPHENIE: Wow. I'm out of breath.

Same.

STEPHENIE: Unfortunately, we go

from this amazing Applebee's reward,

where we're stuffing our faces,

and we get back to camp,

and the game continues.

I just hiccupped, and then, like, food came out.

So you get to taste it again.

- Yeah. - [laughs]

KAMILLA: The Blood Moon is terrifying.

But I feel like

this group is actually pretty good for me because

me, Tiff and Jonathan all started out

on the same Kalo tribe together.

And on a tribe of five, all we need is three.

When I saw that you and Tiff were on the same thing as me,

I'm like, "Okay, we should be solid for Tribal Council."

Here's the thing. We only need three--

- me, you and Tiff. - And that's it.

I know Tiff is locked in.

Obviously, I'm close with Tiff.

But me and Jonathan kind of have a up-and-down relationship.

I've played this entire game so far with him, but

he was blindsided by the vote

on Cila where we sent Charlie home.

And so I need to make sure he's with me.

- Yeah. - I mean, what do you think?

- We don't need to make it complicated. - No.

Like, this should be easy

'cause I've wanted to do this from day two.

- Yeah. - Are you set?

I'm not doing any funny... funny business.

- We got it. - Yeah.

He's telling me he's on board

with writing Chrissy's name down.

Optimistically, realistically,

it's me, Tiff and Jonathan

that write down Chrissy's name.

So, I think I'm in a good position tonight.

I'm not gonna ask you to lie to me.

I know you guys are gonna vote for me tonight.

I totally get it. Oh, God.

It's okay if you cry.

I really want to leave with all of us being friends.

Survivor 50 has been

a lot of redemption for me.

It has really helped me heal a lot of old wounds.

CHRISSY: And so, when I sit down

with both Kamilla and Tiffany,

I tell them the exact same thing,

which is...

If you vote for me, I know why you do,

- and I don't take it personally. - Okay.

CHRISSY: I let them know

that if tonight is my last night in the game,

I really just want it to go out joyfully.

But I don't think that's gonna happen.

STEPHENIE: All right. What are you thinking?

Jonathan and I and you

are cut from the same cloth.

So, I think it should be Kamilla tonight.

Then, me and you will vote Kamilla.

I'd rather vote Kamilla.

Kamilla talks about people behind their back

and twists words, and she's very sneaky,

and we watched her on 48,

driving the bus, backing up the bus,

driving the bus over the person again.

But it all comes down to Jonathan.

- Mm-hmm. - I'm looking at you right now and telling you,

you have my 1,000% trust.

I made a really strong connection with Jonathan

on the Kalo tribe, and I am hoping

that that still exists.

- You want my pitch? - Yeah.

Those girls are totally using you,

and you know that if you were in the final three,

neither one of them is gonna give you a million dollars.

I know that.

And you know me and you are cut

- from the same cloth. - I know.

- Okay, so... - That makes me so happy.

So, I would much rather vote out Kamilla.

JONATHAN: I think that

I'm caught right in the middle of this five.

Jonathan, I trust you 1,000%.

- I am writing Chrissy's name down tonight. - Yeah.

I want me, you and Kamilla to come back to this beach tonight.

Okay.

The truth is, I wanted to come out here and play different.

And one of the ways I wanted to play a different game was,

I wanted to have the right relationships

for these twists, for this moment.

Everybody's looking at me right in the eyes, going,

- "I trust you 1,000%." - Yeah, I know, but these players--

they'll lie straight to your face

and swear on their parents.

JONATHAN: I'm not a liar, but you have to be

completely fluid in Season 50,

because a lot of people that just have honor and integrity--

they make it to the final three, they get maybe one vote.

So you have to do more.

You got to make some sort of moves in this game to win.

I have a very tough decision to make,

because what's gonna happen is there's gonna be

a line drawn in the sand.

I'm gonna be against a lot of new-school people

if I vote for Kamilla.

- Kamilla. - You're not writing my name down, right?

- No. Are you kidding? - [giggles] Okay, cool, then.

JONATHAN: If I vote

Chrissy, then all

of the old-school players are gonna know,

and they're gonna come after me.

- You know I got you. - I know you do.

JONATHAN: So no matter how I do this,

it's gonna put a target on my back in a big way.

There's no easy way out of this for me.

RICK: I'm scared to death.

Joe is the safe vote tonight,

but Aubry and Christian really want to take out Genevieve.

I get it. It makes sense.

What if we put everything on Genevieve

and she plays some sort of advantage

or plays her Shot in the Dark?

I'm screwed. Because she's definitely coming after me.

Either way, it's gonna be

a bloodbath tonight.

DEE: Tonight, for me, it's not about

taking targets out or big threats.

It's more so about trying to dismantle

because he knows he's a sitting duck.

So, I got a decision to make.

But whatever happens, I'm out for blood tonight.

JONATHAN: Right now, we have

old school versus new school.

And tonight is about picking a side.

It's either Chrissy or Kamilla going home.

And regardless of who I pick, I'm cutting off ties

with a lot of people.

And if I make the wrong decision,

it can blow up my game,

and there's no coming back.

because in this game, fire represents your life.

So let's get into it.

The first Tribal Council of the Blood Moon twist.

You can not only feel the Blood Moon.

You can see it reflected on the walls of Tribal Council.

It is hovering tonight,

because one of you will be gone from this game.

So all the awe

is also a lure

into where death happens.

Tiff, we said there's gonna be

a Survivor version of a blood moon, and it's happening.

This is nuts, Jeff.

I feel like I'm in the middle

of one of my video games that I play.

This is crazy. And ironically,

one of my favorite video games has a blood moon.

When the blood moon happens,

all the monsters that you've already killed

come back out of the ground,

and then they come to, like, kill you.

So, I have never seen anything like this in my life, Jeff.

- I'm shooken. - This is friggin' cool.

- Mm-hmm. - PROBST: All right, so, Tiff,

after Applebee's,

you get to go back to your regular camp

and try to figure out who to vote out.

So, what was the vibe?

Well, for me, personally,

I'm always gonna keep it real.

Everybody's gonna know what's on my mind,

and I'm gonna shoot straight, and that's what I did

at every conversation that I had,

because there's only five of us.

I don't feel like I need to pull no tricks out the bag tonight.

PROBST: Kamilla, if you're at home,

and you're watching--

it's the first Tribal of the Blood Moon--

- Hmm. - what are you saying is the wise move in terms

of this being an opportunity

to get the game heading in the direction you want it to go?

I think the best move for people tonight

is to find a group that they can

navigate this massive merge with.

Talk to the other people, figure out

who they're cool with, who are you cool with, and then,

go with the people who you feel

like you have a path forward with.

PROBST: Jonathan,

where's the opportunity in this massive twist?

Well, Mr. Jeff, this is the Blood Moon,

and I think it's a great time

to draw a line in the sand

and figure out where people stand.

TIFFANY: And just to add on to what Jonathan said,

lines will definitely be drawn tonight,

but I also feel it's very important to remember,

there are people that you might have to answer to.

- Hmm. - The decisions you make tonight are going

to have ripple effects for days to come.

PROBST: Chrissy, that was very ominous.

That's something I would have said.

There's a ripple effect, the Blood Moon.

Yeah, I mean, it's very insightful

and-and true that

what happens tonight

is not just between us five.

The four that go back to camp will have

to answer for how they voted.

PROBST: So, Kamilla, how big a factor is it

that the three people voted out tonight

will not be on the jury?

They will not have a say in this game.

KAMILLA: For me, I'm just thinking,

I would like to have a say if I don't win.

And so this Blood Moon night is huge for me 'cause this is

the one night I want to survive real bad.

PROBST: Chrissy, how do you compartmentalize that?

Not from a strategy standpoint,

just from a player to player?

"I'm sorry, but you're not gonna

have a say in who wins this game."

CHRISSY: I think a lot of us came out of our first

seasons with scars.

And so, yes, we all want to make it to the jury.

But in some sense, coming to 50

was a celebratory season,

and has given us all redemption.

- Mm. - So, I think there's a lot

of other beautiful things about being on 50, too.

PROBST: Jonathan, how do you process it,

knowing one of those torches will be snuffed soon,

and the dream of winning Survivor 50

is over?

JONATHAN: That's the thing, Mr. Jeff.

It's always in the back of our mind: one more day.

You don't want to go home and be kicking yourself

for something you did or didn't do.

But it's hard, Mr. Jeff.

And sometimes it doesn't feel like a celebration.

It feels like chaos.

PROBST: Well, you say it's not celebration, it's chaos.

I would say chaos is celebration.

- Yeah. I like that. Yeah. - For you. - [laughing]

Yeah.

and honestly, it was kind of fun getting lied to.

So, Genevieve, what's interesting

about the Blood Moon twist is that

it's exactly the same for three groups,

but the people and the dynamics are all unique.

So what, from your standpoint,

is most impactful about this twist?

Yeah, I think the people

are everything in the group.

And so, what's gonna be most impactful is

what color rock did you draw

and did your friends draw the same color that you did?

Aubry, is it really that simple

that sometimes it's just the timing and Survivor luck,

and that can be the end of your game?

Yeah, I think Survivor is a lot about luck.

But you earn it. And I think part of earning it

is making sure that you have friends

and making sure that you are receptive to people

and that you don't close any doors.

PROBST: Christian, what Aubry's talking about is that

more than anything in the game of Survivor,

it is about relationships.

CHRISTIAN: I mean, it-it's true. You...

you have these relationships you've built

over the course of this season.

And, really, they get put to the test here

because we're in such a tiny group.

And, I mean, seriously, I'm glad I'm wearing immunity.

Otherwise, I worried I'd be applewood-smoked.

[chuckling]

PROBST: Joe, what do you think is most significant

about tonight? Because there's a lot going on.

What stands out to you?

I mean, Jeff, we're making history here

with three Tribal Councils, three people going home.

And we're tired and we're fatigued

and we're hungry.

And there's so much emotion in the game.

I'm trying to compartmentalize each one

of those massively impactful things

that we just got punched in the face with,

so we can all try to make the best decision.

PROBST: Genevieve, there's a strategic component to the fact

that the three people voted out tonight will not be on the jury.

If there's somebody you don't want on the jury

'cause you don't think they'll vote for you,

great opportunity to take 'em out tonight.

GENEVIEVE: Yeah, I think if you have

the luxury of having the numbers to make that decision,

that would be a strategic way to play it. But I think,

for some of us, it's just survive.

Are you talking about yourself?

I think there's definitely lots of people

who are voting for Genevieve tonight.

Part of it is I'm not the type of player

who's number one with everyone.

I'm not, and there's a range

of, "Okay, we can work together short-term," and there's...

and there's the extreme end of the spectrum

of, "Okay, we just can never fit."

But sometimes you know that people

are working together, and there are underlying

webs of relationships

and advantages that

flow between different people in a small group.

PROBST: Wow.

There was a whole lot there.

So, Devens, concern

that if you all have played a game

in which Genevieve is telling the truth

and she believes it's her tonight,

she might play a Shot in the Dark

or an advantage or an idol or something else?

Absolutely. We only hear what she's saying,

and we don't know what she has.

Maybe this is the best smoke screen I've ever seen.

You know? So, yeah, you can listen and listen and listen,

but if you're not

picking up the right thing,

you could be totally blindsided.

PROBST: And Devens, you can't get around

the fact that whoever's voted out tonight

won't have a say in who wins this game.

It doesn't mean that it wasn't important you were here,

but you don't get your stamp on the season.

RICK: Yeah, it's season 50.

You want to be a part of it for as long

and you want to be as big a part of it as you can.

So for all of that to be done,

possibly tonight, I mean,

that is a big thing.

But as the great Keith Nale said, "This ain't a cruise."

You know? If you want to have fun, go on a cruise.

First, I got to check in.

Colby, how many years has it been

since you've been at a Tribal Council?

Fifteen years

- since the last time. - PROBST: 15 years.

Coach, how about for you?

- Thirteen or 14. - PROBST: Yeah.

- Long time. - PROBST: Does it feel like

riding a bike in the sense that you're right back in,

or do you feel like you might be out of practice?

COACH: For me, in the past, Tribal Council

has been a little bit joyous.

It's like going to a wedding.

And you get on your rings and your jewelry,

maybe a few feathers in the hair.

But tonight, it feels a little bit different.

I really feel the gravity of it.

It's like a red wedding tonight.

PROBST: Colby, been a long time

- for you, as well. - COLBY: Jeff, the...

the smell of the torches--

it all just comes back immediately.

For me, it's riding a bike.

I love what you've done with the place, by the way.

[laughing]

Epic.

PROBST: Colby, it's interesting because

the first time you played, you made it all the way to the end.

So your bar has been very high from the first time you played.

And now we're talking about the fact

that somebody here will not make the jury.

COLBY: You're right. The bar was set

a quarter of a century ago-- for me, my personal bar--

and I haven't lived up to that in the two times prior.

This one was a little different coming out here,

but the expectation was the same.

I still wanted to compete at the same level

and-and make it as far as I could.

Um, you know,

I've got a target painted on me tonight.

Really?

COLBY: Yeah. I mean, look,

I don't have a vote tonight, and-and because

I don't have a vote and lost that,

that also means I don't have a Shot in the Dark.

So, it's really easy

to just take that person out, right?

But even with the highs and lows, the foot injury,

you know, here we are, 13 days in.

I've had more fun this time than all

- of the other three experiences. - Wow.

Emily, it's really interesting.

Because the game is so complex

and everybody here is so good,

Colby could be telling the truth

that he believes he's going home,

and still, the four of you who are about to vote

aren't really sure if he's going home.

Yeah, I mean, despite how straightforward

I think some people view this vote,

you know, season 50 has taught me

a lot of things. One of which is expect

the unexpected. And so I'm not

willing to bet the farm on that.

CIRIE: Jeff,

it ain't over till the fat lady sings,

Jeff, and I haven't heard any singing yet,

- so... - COLBY: This is making me think

I might actually have a shot.

[laughing]

PROBST: You know, Colby, I'm gonna circle back.

You said you had more fun this time.

Why? What's different?

I came into it with a completely different attitude

and, um, a set of goals for me.

There are certainly days that suck,

especially when you're injured, and you don't have a vote.

Um, but I chose to...

to find the joy in it.

I mean, half of my life, Jeff, has transpired

since the first time I played. Half of my life.

- Wow. - Jeff, I'm in my 50s now,

and they say this is the decade of reflection.

That's truly it. I've...

I've reflected on my life

and how Survivor has

woven through so much of it.

And so many people in my sphere--

not by one degree of separation--

but I can connect them back to Survivor.

Survivor has introduced me to so many people in my life

that I love and care about.

And, again, I met people

in this experience that I know I'm gonna be friends

for life with.

And I just... I-I just...

um...

...I just appreciate the opportunity

to come back one more time.

PROBST: You know, Colby, as you were talking,

this is what was going through my mind.

Emily and Dee would not be here

without you, Cirie and Coach.

You are three of the true icons of Survivor.

There's no disputing that.

So I'm listening to you,

and I'm remembering you 25 years ago.

Dee, how old were you when Colby first played,

25 years ago?

- Three. [laughs] - Three years old. [laughs]

PROBST: You were three

when he was out doing this.

DEE: Like you said,

Cirie, Colby, and Coach have

paved the path for the new-era players.

Like, we wouldn't be here without them.

PROBST: Cirie, you played

more days than anybody out here.

So, to hear this talk of legacy,

what are you thinking about?

You know, it's weird, Jeff.

For me, it was 20 years ago,

and I had zero expectation.

I didn't know that I would

pave the way for anybody.

So, I'm honored that

people look up to me

and think that I have, um,

laid a path for them

or-or started a legacy for them.

So, like Colby, I, too,

am, like, so honored

to be thought of in that way.

So, I know exactly how he feels.

[clears throat]

- But it's a game. - It's a game.

And the game must go on.

It's a game.

PROBST: Coach, you always have

some wisdom from the Dragon Slayer.

What are you feeling right now?

COACH: I think this has been a great journey

for a lot of the older players,

because we see that...

you know, we see that we're revered

in some way or another.

And the reason why

I've come out here time and time again is

I just want to inspire somebody.

If it's one person, three people, a tribe,

and I'm humbled to...

to hear people say that

we have left a legacy

and made our mark.

And so, to quote, uh, an ancient samurai proverb,

you know, we make war tonight

with a pure and clean heart.

There's no malice here, there's no...

betrayal.

We're here with clean hearts.

Dee, what's the emotion for you?

I'm just battling with my decisions.

Cirie, Colby and Coach

haven't been back in so long.

And to know that somebody's not making the jury,

they don't even have a say on 50,

it's, like, really sad because it comes

with a lot of feelings of guilt.

And it does also

come down to the rawness

and how rare it is in this game.

When you truly feel--

not even say it, when you

feel somebody's words--

that's how you know, "Oh, my God.

Like, these people might be in my life forever."
