Adolf Hitler arrived in Munich on May
25th, 1913, carrying forged papers

that claimed he was stateless.

The Bavarian capital represented

Germanic forms.

He rented a small room above a tailor's

The essay gave Hitler's words physical
force, terrorising opponents and

an atmosphere of crisis that made his
extreme solutions seem necessary.

By 1923, the Nazi party had 55 ,000
members and Hitler had become a

figure in Bavarian politics.

He formed alliances with other right
-wing groups and secured funding from

Hitler convinced himself that if he
could seize power in Munich, he could

On the evening of November 8th, 1923,
