Here at American Baby Centers for Women,

it is my job to educate women on how important it is

to maintain their health.

This way, they deliver healthy babies

with less chance of stillbirth.

And you've been very successful to this point.

So, tell us, how did you manage to build an OB-GYN empire,

becoming the first woman to own and run a Fortune 500 company?

Why not just work at a hospital?

Because I wanted to make a change.

delivering babies.

Where are you from?

Well, I'm from Oregon.

After my parents died a couple years ago,

I moved out to Palmdale with my sister and her husband.

That didn't really work out.

So, I headed out to the city with a friend to find work.

I love that.

A strong, independent, young, driven woman

that ventures out into the world,

and just doesn't settle for what life gives her.

Just like me when I was your age.

Honestly, it was really hard to find a job.

But then, I saw your ad on Craigslist

that your company was looking for interns,

so here I am.

That just goes to show you, anything is possible,

especially when you put your mind to it.
