Hi, I'm Kevin Spacy and welcome to my

master class. My hope in doing this

series of discussions, scene work,

one-on-one conversation about the craft

of acting is partly to give you a sense

of why it's become my life, why I'm

still challenged by it and love doing it

and why I'm inspired by those who want

to go into this profession. I've been

doing workshops since I was very, very

young and you'll hear about some of

those in the course of this series of

classes. And I love nothing more than to

be in a workshop with people who have

dedicated themselves to becoming artists

and to becoming actors and to pushing

themselves farther to striving to be

better than they've ever been and to

doing what I think actors should do,

which is to serve great writing and

hopefully learn how to collaborate

together, realizing that we are not

doing this alone. Actors don't work

alone. We need each other. fellow

actors. We need great directors. We need

great writers and great producers and a

great crew.

The theater's been a part of my life for

as long as I can remember and um it

still makes my heart beat very fast. And

so I hope you enjoy this. I hope that

you'll enjoy our efforts here. So,
