[To Love]

Manager Yan, you look comfy.

If you can't be alone, hurry up and find a lady.

Don't be coming over here and not leaving.

What? I'm not welcome here?

Didn't you see the family picture your son drew?

He just used a few strokes for you.

I'm guessing

your son has forgotten how you look.

Here.

You've been investigating Xiao Meiren, right?

I just know that this woman is something else.

During this year, she tried everything to have a relationship with me.

And not with good intentions.

Xiao Meiren has interest in you.

I think she's more interested in my background and network.

She was always trying to have a collaboration with me.

I'm afraid of trouble so will hide from it if I can.

Tell me, how is the case going?

Any leads?

There are leads and suspicion that Xiao Meiren's aquatic product company is trafficking drugs. And on a large scale.

We've investigated for a long time and still no answers.

- That's it? - Yes.

Seeing you like this.

I just knew that this case would be different.

Tell me.

Recently, the drugs we got has the potency

exactly like the drugs from the case 5 years ago.

You had enough of a good life?

Don't you know how dangerous drugs are.

Second Brother died from this case.

To this day, we still haven't solved the case. You think I would give up?

I don't care whether you give up or not, I'm not letting you take on such a risk.

Xiao Meiren's line of work takes everything carefuly.

Weren't you trying to get some information from the inside?

If we keep this up, their drugs will still flow into the market.

To that point, countless people's lives would be ruined.

Yan Jin, we've already lost Second Brother.

- I can't— - I can't just let Second Brother die for nothing.

I don't care how big of a price I have to pay.

I must be in this case.

Believe me. If we work together,

we will succeed.

What are you trying to say?

If I'm not wrong,

Yan Jin personally requested to be the undercover cop.

Chief Deputy Cheng, have you ever thought

Yan Jin has retired from Drug Enforcement a long time ago.

If he doesn't request to join earlier or later, why would he ask to join a case at this kind of timing?

And this case of yours

has something to do with the "10.20" drug case.

I knew it. Yan Jin didn't tell you the truth.

It's okay. I'll tell you why.

Honestly, before Yan Jin personally requested to be an undercover cop,

I give him a call.

Hello?

Hello? Is this Manager Yan?

Yes. Who is this?

It doesn't matter who I am.

The most important part is

Zhang Guoqiang died because of you.

Manager Yan,

When you took on the title of a killer

was it hard?

Your family and lawyer

spent so much efforts to save you.

Who are you?

I know. Xiao Meiren has a lot of interest in you.

If you help the police,

catch her and Liu Wei's drug crimes,

I will tell you who I am.

I will help you protect this secret.

After Liu Wei's death,

I was silent for half a year.

Then I went to work as a janitor at the Aquatic Company.

My goal was to get revenge.

In the end I spent a long time there.

I realized that working on my own,

there's no way that I can get rid of their organization.

It's probably because God felt bad for me.

He led me to noticing Xiao Meiren

and Yan Jin have personal relations.

So I decided.

Using a threat

to get Yan Jin to work with you.

Only the police can get them from inside out.

This can help me get revenge.

As a successful person in society,

how can he let a case from 6 years ago

to surface again?

Murder can lead to a death sentence.

Deputy Chief Cheng. Deputy Chief Cheng.

Later on...

So you and Yan Jin kept on having communitcation?

No.

We have met once.

It was before the police caught Xiao Meiren.

Last year's beginning of December.

I asked him to meet at the Moshanghua Construction Factory.

Hello Manager Yan.

Don't worry. It's just me.

It's you.

You never thought it was me huh?

We previously were meeting in secret too.

How did you know about me?

That year I was a small manual laborer under Uncle Hai.

When you, Sun Jiayu, and Deng Kun were fighting,

I was in the nearby blindspot.

I just accidentally,

saw the whole thing.

Manager Yan didn't expect this right?

I'm already helping the police investigate Xiao Meiren's drug organization.

You promised me

You better keep your word to it.

Don't worry, just do as I asked.

Your secret will be safe with us.

I just want to know. With you like this,

can you still keep our deal?

I've seen drug abusers, a lot of them has lost their sense of reason.

You can't ruin my plan.

Don't worry.

I want to get this case solved immediately too.

If he really did think about it like that,

this Drug Enforcement hero title should be mine too.

Don't you think so? Deputy Chief Cheng?

Deputy Chief Cheng,

do you really know Yan Jin?

Do you really know why he wants to be an undercover cop?

Are you sure you're drinking coffee?

The more you drink, the more sleepy you are.

Not just coffee, doping wouldn't even help.

Sounds like you're complaining against me.

No, no.

How is the investigation on the murder site?

The stuff and the northern territory has been searched and examined.

All of the suspicious stuff? All double checked.

Nothing yet. I'm waiting for the south district results.

Xiao Cheng?

Hello? Is there news?

Okay, I'll talk to Chief Zhao about it.

What is it?

The police dog team is going in circles.

This morning, two more police dogs fell.

He wanted to see if you could let them rest a couple of days.

They can't rest.

We have to solve this case before June.

It's already mid-May, how are going to solve it before then?

Regardless, we can't take a break now.

It's raining season now

push through a little longer.

Once the case is solved, I'll treat everyone to hot pot.

This...Yan Jin and Xiao'ou's wedding is set for the beginning of June,

you rushing this, it couldn't be because...

Got it. Got it.

I got it.

Hello? Chief Zhao said

once the case is solved, he'll treat us all to eat.

Everyone work hard. Push through.

[Employees Only]

Why are you so annoying?

Don't make your Brother Cheng angry, okay?

What kind of hotpot are you talking about? That's not a good place.

Do you understand?

[Employees Only]

Which is to say, that within these 15 minutes,

my client needed to get from the 8th floor down to the basement,

follow the exit route, and then

arrive at the janitor's location on the monitor.

This door on the basement lower 1 floor

is normally closed right?

Yes, this door is normally locked.

- But every Monday we open it to make taking the trash out more convenient. - Every Monday?

Yes because Monday is the community's cleaning day.

[Monday Dec 31]

Boss. Yan Shen's experiment has been dismissed,

which means that that janitor could have been Yan Jin.

Should we go and arrest him right now?

We can't rush.

Send some more men over. Find the weapon used to split the corpse.

I must get direct evidence against him.

We can't let Yan Jin escape us again this time.

Okay. I'll have it arranged as soon as we're back.

Why'd you lock the door to take a nap?

Old Cheng. Are you feeling okay?

Are you hearing me?

I'm fine.

I just want to be by myself for a minute.

Then I'll go to Mom's house and pick up Hao Hao. I'll be back after dinner.

I put the ribs I made today in the fridge. You can make some noodle soup with it.

Okay.

Do you really understand Yan Jin?

Do you know why he really wanted to do this undercover job?

You're investigating Xiao Meiren right?

I must do this.

The two of us working together.

We will be successful.

[Yan Jin]

Everyone stop what you're working on for a minute.

This is Yan Jin's information from elementary school until now.

Everyone take a copy. Look into it carefully.

Is that clear?

Yang Cheng, distribute them.

Boss, investigating Yan Jin doesn't have to go back all the way to elementary school, does it?

If you want to investigate someone thoroughly, you have to analyze their entire life.

Know yourself, know your enemies, nothing is impossible.

Try to work a little faster.

[Sun Jiayu was shot three times. One in the left knee, chest, and fatal shot in the head. Bullet from fatal head shot is from Yan Jin's gun.]

[Sun Jiayu was shot three times. One in the left knee, chest, and fatal shot in the head. Bullet from fatal head shot is from Yan Jin's gun.]

You're awake?

Look here. This seafood was all freshly delivered this morning.

Also top-tier French white wine.

Something great like this is perfect for the two of us to share.

I called your wife this morning.

She said you were off work today. At home taking a nap.

Without a second thought, I came over.

I'm here today to help your body recover.

Tell me. These crabs, do you want them steamed or spicy?

What does nodding mean? Are you still half asleep?

Here. Drink some wine. Wake up a little. Where's your bottle opener?

Don't drink that. Here, drink this.

This has got some kick to it.

Alright!

Rare that Eldest Brother is in good spirits.

I'll go get the food ready then.

[Interrogation Transcript]

Yan Jin, from what we know,

you and Sun Jiayu were close brothers.

Later, because of a girl called Shen Wuyue, you two started having problems. Is that right?

- Let go! - What are you doing Yan Jin?

Do you know how bad Wuyue is doing now?

All because of you!

She got her own reasons. Got nothing to do with me.

Hold up. We're all brothers here, can't we talk it out instead of fighting?

Ask him if he considers me his brother. Are you still the brother I used to know?

I've never thought of becoming brothers with you Yan Jin.

That's enough.

Great. From now on,

we go our separate ways.

If something happens to Wuyue because of you,

I won't let you off easy.

Does Shen Wuyue's death have anything to do with Sun Jiayu?

- Does this have to do with the case? - Please answer truthfully.

Sun Jiayu was undercover so he broke up with Shen Wuyue,

She couldn't accept it and

died from an overdose.

[Love Triange: Shen Wuyue, Sun Jiayu, Yan Jin]

Actually, I came to find you because I'm feeling very down.

What's wrong?

They offended the wife.

The day before yesterday, Xiao'ou was cleaning up around the house.

She found a picture of me and Shen Wuyue at Ninghai in one of my books.

How did that picture end up shoved in that book? I completely forgot about it.

You didn't mention Shen Wuyue to her before?

She saw a picture of the 5 of us previously.

She asked me during my rehab.

I just said that Shen Wuyue was Second Brother's girlfriend.

I was afraid Ji Xiao'ou would overthink it.

Who knew there would be another picture at the house waiting for me?

I won't be able to fix it even if I jumped into the Yellow River.

There's no other intention meant by Xiao'ou asking me. If it was me, I'd ask too.

But I don't know why,

I just really don't want to be reminded of the past.

I wish I could completely amnesia.

Forget all the pain from the past.

This rain is getting heavier and heavier.

Yeah. It's easy to become sad when it's raining.

It was raining this hard the day Second Brother died too.

You're missing him right now?

You don't miss him?

How could I dare?

But I often have dreams of him.

What kind of dreams?

Some good, some bad.

But mostly of when the three of us were together.

I dreamed of him just now too.

He told me he wasn't killed by Zhang Guoqiang.

Hey. It's just a dream. Don't think too much about it.

We should go visit him sometime soon.

Besides, I should tell him the good news of my marriage.

Sure.

Here, eat a crab.

You seem a little off today.

Is it news about that drugmaker?

No.

Why do you care so much about that drugmaker?

I still participated in this case.

The suspect is still out there, so the case is still unsolved.

Even though I'm not still working as a drug enforcement officer,

but my attitude is still the same.

You and Xiao Meiren worked together for so long,

you really never heard of this drugmaker?

Why?

From the clues that Xiao Meiren provided,

We believe this drugmaker,

is the fish that slipped through the net six years ago.

Which is to say that he was there when Second Brother was killed.

Doesn't rule out that he witnessed everything at the time of the crime.

He witnessed the scene, so what?

Isn't Second Brother's murderer, Zhang Guoqiang, already dead?

Yeah.

The shrimp should be done, I'll go bring it over.

Zhang Guoqiang, after you killed Sun Jiayu,

- which direction did you run? - I headed east.

[I headed east.]

Think carefully over it again.

After you killed Sun Jiayu, which direction did you run?

West. I don't have a great sense of direction.

I told the police the wrong direction earlier.

After I thought about it again, I remembered it was west.

- Are you sure? - Yes, I'm sure.

Yangcheng, collect the information about Zhang Guoqiang before his death.

Why are we looking into this?

Don't question it, just do what I say. Report back to me tomorrow.

Sister, try this.

It's really pretty, is it cherry blossoms?

The cherry blossoms at school has blossomed.

I put it with some fruits to make this tea.

Let's call it the Afternoon of April.

[Flowing Thoughts Cafe]

Ji Xiao'ou is my wife.

Xiao'ou.

You are still mad at me.

Why did you drink so much?

Xiao'ou.

What are you doing?

Ji Xiao'ou, I'm sorry.

I shouldn't have lied to you.

What did you lie to me about?

To be honest, Shen Wuyue,

she was my first love.

She then later ended up with Second Brother.

The truth is.

They secretly got together.

I'll just give them my blessing.

I know that day,

you were a little sad after seeing that picture.

You wanted to talk about it with me.

I just didn't want to think about my past.

Once I think about Shen Wuyue,

my heart felt like it's been cut by a knife.

Xiao'ou.

It's my fault.

I made you mad.

I'm sorry.

I didn't know about that. Thank you for telling me.

You're not mad anymore?

I was a little curious.

What kind of girl was Shen Wuyue

for you two to like her this much?

To be honest, she was just a very normal girl.

If it wasn't for me,

maybe she would've lived a normal and peaceful life.

Do you really want to hear her story?

I want to hear your story.

It was spring time,

I was still in the force.

Whenever it's vacation,

my friends came to the restaurant to eat.

I just accidentally picked up a cell phone.

The phone screensaver

was a girl.

She looked very clean.

Her first impression was ingrained in me.

I just guessed that

she will come back for her phone.

I just kept waiting.

I waited and waited.

Two hours later,

she came back.

[Medical Report]

Before Zhang Guoqian died, he had cancer?

Yes.

I went to Zhang Guoqiang's village.

And spoke with his friends.

Said that when he was alive, he was looking at these.

Just for his illness. But they didn't know what he was sick with.

After that, I went to the hospital to ask for his medical records.

That's where I noticed a problem.

Cancer that was diagnosed in June.

It wasn't October.

I think Zhang Guoqiang was trying to get money.

That should be correct.

What is Zhang Guoqiang's family like?

According to the village, when Zhang Guoqiang

killed the police,

The whole village felt blinded.

After he died, his wife did not have much contact with the village.

That's right. They had a son with slight mental problems.

After getting into a car accident, he's been bedridden.

I secretly went to do a follow up with them.

They have a relatively new two-story building.

Their front yard is drying a lot of dried foods.

They also have a lot of fruit trees.

That's what I found weird.

Normally when a family loses a man,

and have a sick child, their lives should be hard.

How about this, go to the bank.

Check Zhang Guoqiang and his wife's bank accounts.

See if there's any abnormalities.

Also check Yan Jin and Yan Shen's too.

Are you trying say Zhang Guoqiang...

Go back to work.

This is a vintage style theme.

With white and green as primary colors.

Not a problem.

On the wedding day, it will just be friends and family.

There wouldn't be a lot of people.

After the ceremony, we will just have a party there.

With music, wine, and food.

- That should be all.- Miss Ji's idea is pretty great.

You even put together such a professional PPT. You put so much thought into it.

To be honest, I don't really understand this too. I just went online for some pictures.

I just picked a style that I liked.

Okay. Let's base it off of her thoughts.

No problem. What music does Miss Ji like?

If you can, please find a small orchestra.

Please find a really talented violinist.

Okay.

And on the wedding day, please save two great seats.

It's for two friends that won't be able to make it.

No problem.

Yan Shen called me earlier.

She said that she already made an appointment with the designer.

The appointment is at 10 am at the studio to choose the wedding dress.

So fast?

I'll wait for you at the cafe tomorrow. We can have breakfast together.

Okay.

How is Yan Shen?

From her voice, she sounds like she caught a cold.

Why don't we visit her?

That girl is a workaholic.

Even if we went, she would ignore us.

A brother like you shouldn't just leave her be.

Not to mention, Sister-in-law is here now.

I know you two have a good relationship.

Okay. Let's go.

Oh no.

I forgot. I have a reservation tonight.

It was a birthday party. I need to go back and decorate.

Okay. You can go back to work. I'll go alone.

- I'll go visit her next time.- Okay.

[999 Cold Remedy Granular]

Sister Yan.

I fell asleep. What time is it?

It's around 8 PM.

You're caught a cold. Why don't you just go home first?

I'll take you home.

I just took some cold medicine. I'm a little sleepy so let me lay down for a little longer.

Seeing you like this worries me.

It's okay. I'll just rest a little bit more and go home.

Don't worry about me. Hurry home.

Okay. I'll go home first.

Don't forget to take your medicine on time.

Don't stay up too late.

[Jun He Law Firm]

[Jun He Law Firm]

What are you doing here?

There's no reason for me to not come.

You don't pick up the phone.

You don't reply to my messages.

I can only come here and give you a visit.

Get out right now or I'll call the cops on you.

Call the cops?

Okay. I've been planning to talk to the cops anyways.

I want to tell the cops what you did.

What exactly do you want?

What else?

I'm out of money.

- I gave you so much, isn't it enough? - No.

You think a life is worth this little?

This is a scam. You know I can sue you.

You think I don't have evidence for what you did 6 years ago?

I'll tell you now.

I recorded you.

You sue me, I'll release everything that you did for your brother.

By then, it's not just you who dies, it's your murderer brother.
