We cycled from Germany through 20 countries to Tajikistan and

took you with us on our trip around the world in 20 videos, but this video shows the most incredible

and challenging stage of our journey. We are in Ghudara in one of the most

remote places in the world you don't have to google it, it's here in the middle of nowhere,

it's four days of driving for us outside of civilization to the next village, but in an incredible

mountain backdrop, sometimes over 4000 m high, we're on the tour of our lives.

Hans has had here, of all places, in the last few days 40° Fever and he’s not quite fit yet but we're trying our luck

So things are finally moving on, but I'm not sure if it's a good decision to continue driving today.

I don't feel quite like it yet... it's kind of 50/50 Decision but at some point we to move on,

it's really a hard road. Franzy actually needs me 100% but today I need me 100%.

I'm really excited about where we'll be tonight and the next nights and the next few days,

no one can help us here. That's why we wanted to decide on the way today whether we

off as soon as you pump or what? No, sometimes it just switches off and then I shake it a little

to do that? and I can't do something like that' I often have these thoughts and

Hans somehow always tries to change my mind and sometimes he succeeds and

when he succeeds, it really doesn't matter how strenuous the day is, I laugh all day

and if I approach it with the attitude that everything sucks anyway, then nothing works. How you feel depends 90%

on your head. That's just really a weapon, but the tables can also turn.

Good morning, it's cold as hell but incredibly beautiful here as the glaciers

are lit up. Today is day X today is gling to be really challenging

we have to push the bikes for about 5km up the mountain. We have huge respect.

what kind of surface is that? like asphalt. We haven't had that feeling for weeks,

how cool I just saw a marmot running around here. They look a little different than ours, they're

yellow-orange and the tail is totally black but it was definitely a really cool marmot,

hopefully we'll see some more.

I always find it not that easy to coordinate with the water to get by

because sometimes there are really no streams for 50 km and

50 km sometimes means 1-2 days. We'll have to look a bit

, so I would say that building a lot of stalls as a child is paying off.

We're currently running out of energy and we're exhausted because we've

only eaten oatmeal and a bit of bread for the last few days and now we have to see if the

Stove works but if it doesn't... well we just have pasta and onions that would be

why exactly? We are at almost 4000 m and the pasta water doesn't get really warm anymore and then

it becomes a really disgusting broth. I think that

the quality of the noodles is also really crappy. So it falls into the edible category. That's a good thing.

the bamboo is really nice and I mean we've been

on gravel and extremely rocky roads for over a month now and

you can actually say that bamboo is a suitable frame material because

We were already in a yurt camp in Kyrgyzstan and the yurts were really beautifully made, I would

and just yogurt and guess that's butter for bread and tea. really cool, they manage

to cook noodles better than we do at altitude, they are so delicious

with such broth and they are also spicy, a poem. Well, we have a really

hard time with yoghurt, it's extremely tricky, I don't think that's a problem. What does tricky mean?

carbonated, right? Yes. We're always not sure if it's healthy.

I think it's just fermented. I think it's just because of fermentation

, but it's incredibly carbonated like Cola, it's really awesome. well we still have butter, I

think yak butter and bread. This looks funny you and the teapot. It's nice and warm, it's warming me up right now, it

's really quite cold, so in winter it gets -50-60°, we were told, it's hard

to imagine, so it's one of the coldest places here. Father Frost is a bit generous.

how do I fill the water bag now? What we didn't know here is that the lake has

no outlet and contains brackish water due to its high salt content. okay 2-3 m there

was less algae in there but there is still some in there. have to filter the water again but hey

it tastes bitter, extreme, it really tasted really disgusting, we had one yesterday Made soup out of it

and we had to throw half of it away because it had a really strange aftertaste, but

we didn't get any stomach ache. I think it's because it was cooked. but now

we are here. It takes us about 1-2 hours to get to the asphalt road where

there is water and the two of us still have so much water that it's really a disaster.

According to the information on our navigation maps, there should have been a stream up there in the valley that

would have really made our lives easier. yes, there was no one now. We still have a sip, a little

sip now we have to somehow get up the mountain and then I'm looking forward to water

wow wow awesome wah those are these mega rare Marcopolo sheep again wow how they

just raced over here. they race still up the mountain. the last water is not

that much anymore. There's the Pamir Highway up ahead and we haven't seen it for a long time.

I'm just getting a bit emotional after two weeks of getting through here and there's civilization up ahead,

it's exciting the last few meters on washboard, there's tar up ahead.

Unfortunately the first well was contaminated but the children sent us to this

a 7 out of 10. You can drink it. Now they just called the shop because of us and

opened it. Now we're shopping, we don't have any food left,

oh man, I thought there would at least be an apple or pasta...

where are they supposed to get an apple? I have no idea, we now have a whole pack of cookies,

chips, garlic and cola here because we absolutely need a bottle because they are so old,

our bottles and water bottles are simply not available anywhere here and 8 times soup noodles

What should we do? We have to somehow survive to the first city in Kyrgyzstan.

Karakol is behind us. That was a really big goal for us for a long time. and where are we going now? to China!

yes, that's our next big goal but we definitely need a break again, so

we're going to put our feet up in Kyrgyzstan for a few days and then we're off to China.

Riding a bike to China is really cool. The Karakoram Highway from China to Pakistan

is even higher than the Pamir Highway but as I said we are going first to Kyrgyzstan,

we will reach the 4300 m high border tomorrow,

about 40 km to the Kyrgyzstan-Tajik border.

Now let's leave Lake Karakul. Bye, I will never

forget the taste of you. That was disgusting. oh my god where is this storm coming from? and with a gradient of 15-20°

we can't get to where we want today. Change of plan: get up early tomorrow.

Wow, the wind is just too strong. We saw this stone down there, I think we'll take the option and camp

there. There's no point anymore, there's no point in wasting your energy and even in the tent when it

's so windy without wind protection it's uncomfortable. The stone there smiles at us and we take it. are definitely

and there was a strange atmosphere there. Now we have 20 km of no-man's land.

Now we go somewhere 20 km further in that direction until we arrive at the Kyrgyz border at the border post.

At this point, the border with Kyrgyzstan was again closed to solo travelers

, but we had already written an email to the government weeks ago, which meant that our name
