Xie Yi?

What brings you here?

Why didn't you give me a call?

I thought you'd be at home.

Where have you been?

To discard the trash.

What is it? Did something happen?

Let's talk inside.

I'll pour you some water.

Did you

meet Li Ze Liang yesterday?

Did he tell you that?

Did they also tell you

that I was the one

who introduced the supplier?

And that I'm related

to the guy they suspected, He Jiang Hua?

That I'm the mastermind?

Are you trying to say

that you didn't do any of these?

Indeed,

I went to see Li Ze Liang yesterday.

But I just wanted

to ask him

what really went down,

and if there was anything

I could do to help.

I don't know

what's Li Ze Liang's motive

for telling you this.

Here. Sit down and talk.

You're lying.

You've been lying to me all along.

Why would I lie to you?

All these years,

how have I treated you

and Xie Qing?

You should know better, right?

Drop the act already.

All these years,

you've been playing

a perfect and affectionate fiance.

It's so foolish of me

to be deceived

by this facade that you put on.

My sister

had been with you for so long.

But she didn't sense

the slightest bit of love.

Instead,

she was controlled

by a dangerous lunatic!

Well,

do you know

why I did all this?

That's because

Xie Qing is the bond that ties us together.

Once I leave her,

you'll drift further away from me.

I'm doing all this

for you.

Tell me.

The things that happened to my sister.

Was it your doing?

The things that happened to Zhiwei two years ago.

Was it you too?

Okay.

You can tell that to the police.

Su Xie Yi.

Do you still want to see your sister?

What do you mean?

As I said,

she's the bond that ties us together.

How could I bear to let her die?

You can go to the police.

But I promise you.

You're not going

to see your sister ever again.

She'll starve to death.

Where is she?

What did you do to her?

You really do love your sister dearly.

Promise me one thing,

and you'll get to see her.

Break up with Li Ze Liang.

Promise me you'll never see him again,

and you'll stay by my side forever.

You wish!

Fine.

If so, you're going to lose your sister

for real.

Why should I believe you?

How do I know

if you're not lying to me again?

It's been so long,

and they didn't recover her body.

Do you think that's normal?

Also,

the mung bean cakes you saw last time,

I prepared them for Shen Xie Qing.

Well, you can choose

not to believe me.

But before

the two of you break up,

I'll let your sister starve.

Let's see if you'll take the chances.

Before I see any proof

that my sister is still alive,

I won't agree to anything.

Okay.

I'll show you proof.

But that depends on how you behave.

I'll give you time to think about it.

I've waited for you for this long anyway.

I can wait a little longer.

Mr. Li.

Before this, He Jiang Hua and Xie Ming Hao

didn't cross paths.

Besides, He Jiang Hua

is a well-known Weibo verified account user.

Why would he help Xie Ming Hao to set the fire?

This is what puzzles me.

All the clues

point to He Jiang Hua.

For us to turn the tables around,

he'll be the key.

Understood.

Mr. Li.

There's something

that I have to let you know.

I took the liberty

to tell Miss Su

about your encounter with Xie Ming Hao

when investigating He Jiang Hua.

Ji Ying Song.

Who told you to do that?

Mr. Li.

I don't know

what Xie Ming Hao told you.

But I do know

that you made the public apology

because of Miss Su.

Even if I didn't tell her,

Miss Su

would have sensed that herself.

I made the public apology

because Xie Ming Hao

has the recording and dual contract

that can prove Xie Yi accepted bribes.

Once these pieces of evidences are made public,

Xie Yi will inevitably become a lightning conductor for criticism.

I have to protect her. Do you get it?

But given Xie Yi's character,

once she found out

that I was threatened by Xie Ming Hao,

she wouldn't just let things slide.

If so,

everything I did would have been in vain, wouldn't it?

Mr. Li.

I'm sorry.

I didn't think of that.

I just didn't want Miss Su

to misunderstand you.

Forget it.

You did it for my sake.

How did Xie Yi react to that?

Miss Su didn't say it,

but I could tell

that she was very touched

and that she believes in you.

(You can go to the police.)

(But I promise you.)

(You're not going)

to see your sister ever again.

She'll starve to death.

Break up with Li Ze Liang.

Promise me you'll never see him again,

and you'll stay by my side forever.

(Hedgehogs will not bite.)

Its only defense is the thorns

all over its body.

But if it likes you,

even its spines

will become very soft.

(Yan.)

(Soon, I'll be covered)

(with soft spines just like Chestnut.)

(Will you understand?)

Thank you for the other day.

My sister has a mental disorder.

Thank you for the notice.

This is a gift

from my client.

I bet it'll come in useful for you.

Take it as a token of appreciation from me.

Mr. Xie.

You're being so courteous.

We'll surely bear in mind

the things that you've told us to do.

Besides,

it's our responsibility to protect the safety

of the residents.

Next time,

if anything comes up,

feel free to come to me.

There is something

that I might

need your help with.

Ask away.

These two.

My sister

owed them a sum of money.

I'm trying to raise funds,

but they don't believe me.

They've been looking for my sister.

I'm afraid that my sister will suffer an emotional shock

if she runs into them.

If they come

here,

please

inform me at once.

Sure, Mr. Xie.

Don't worry.

I'll remember their faces.

If they come,

I'll surely notify you.

Thank you.

No worries.

Thank you for the trouble.

Take care.

Yes, Dr. Wu.

You're right.

We'll come over at once.

Okay.

Thank you.

Mr. Li?

Mr. Li?

Did you call me?

I just made an appointment

with Dr. Wu.

He's very concerned about your leg.

He suggested

that we go over now for a checkup.

Wait.

Why did you act on your own again?

Your health is the top priority.

I noticed you often have leg pain.

It can't be delayed any longer.

Besides, Miss Su reminded me

to keep a lookout for you.

I'm fine.

This can wait until I'm done with Xie Yi's matters.

Su Xie Yi.

Congrats!

You've got what you wished for.

Ms. Shi.

What do you mean?

Ze Liang made a public apology for you

because of the fire at Lantian Bay.

Look what has happened to Ocean.

Isn't that what you'd wished for?

If it's my fault, I won't shirk responsibility.

But it wasn't my fault.

So I won't take the blame.

So you're saying

that I've wrongly accused you?

Did you really think

the fire at Lantian Bay was an accident?

There are so many ventilators.

Of all warehouses, why did the one

where the external wall insulation materials

were stored caught fire?

The fire was extinguished

almost immediately.

Why would the news of the fire

break

so promptly?

And the person

who covered the news is He Jiang Hua.

Have you

given all this careful thought?

According to what you said,

if someone

deliberately set the fire,

why didn't Ze Liang

continue the investigation?

Instead, he chose to conclude it so quickly.

He did it to protect you.

At this point,

I hope you'll leave Ocean.

Otherwise,

Ze Liang might not pursue

the matter on the insulation boards,

but not me.

Don't worry.

I came

to tender my resignation.

Ms. Shi.

(Resignation Letter)

I know you have always had

a strong prejudice and misunderstanding against me.

But I get it.

After all, you want what's best

for Ocean and Yan.

I hope that after I leave,

you'll continue to protect Yan.

If you still remember

the good thing he has done for you,

I hope

you won't live with hatred anymore.

Live a good life after you leave Ocean.

Don't bother him again.

What did you say?

Revenge?

That's right.

The fire in Lantian Bay

was just an accident.

Mr. Xie did all this

to stop you from taking revenge.

He didn't want to see you

keep walking down the wrong path.

Xie Ming Hao?

How could you believe what he said?

There's something

I have to tell you.

The supplier

of the external wall insulation materials

that I purchased from was introduced by him.

And Xie Ming Hao

happens to know He Jiang Hua, the guy who covered the news.

I bet it's not difficult for you

to connect the dots, right?

All I can say

is that I was wrong about him.

Here's a piece of advice.

For Ocean's future plan

in this business world,

it's best you steer clear of this person.

Dr. Wu.

I've exhausted all options

to persuade him.

But he wouldn't go to the hospital for treatment,

and he wouldn't let me tell Miss Su about it.

We detected osteomyelitis,

and this is a serious condition.

Delays in treatment might lead to cancer.

I know.

(Pain in the affected limb caused by osteomyelitis)

(You said it yourself.)

What we need now

is to communicate

and solve the problem together.

(Let me)

(briefly explain it to you.)

Three million

meets corresponding standards

of extremely large monetary amount.

Based on

the amount of remittance from the supplier to Xie Yi,

the sentence should be at least ten years

or even life imprisonment.

Now, I have the evidence, witness,

and Xie Yi's motive

for revenge.

Xie Ming Hao.

I never thought you would do

something like this to Xie Yi.

You don't want her to suffer?

The choice is yours.

You can either protect Xie Yi

and take the blame.

That

will cost Ocean its reputation

and lead to bankruptcy. You know better.

Or you can rat Xie Yi out,

and I'll hand over the evidence.

In that case,

I'm afraid

you can only visit her in jail.

Come to me again

when you feel like telling me the truth.

Please

don't tell Xie Yi anything

about me, all right?

I don't want her

to be upset

because of what happened in the past.

(Xie Yi.)

(About He Jiang Hua working with Xie Ming Hao)

(to stitch you up,)

(the police have stepped in.)

(I believe it won't be long now.)

Hi, Mr. Xie.

Mr. Dai is waiting for you inside.

Mr. Xie.

Mr. Dai.

Come over.

Mr. Xie.

Take a look.

As per your request,

I've registered a new company

and gave you 10 percent of shares

in this company.

Mr. Dai, you sure are a man of your word.

Well, you're very honest yourself.

Indeed, your fee

is a lot higher

than those ordinary lawyers.

I've secretly bought some of Ocean shares

through Diying and Zhengde.

This sum of money can last you a lifetime.

Thank you, Mr. Dai.

By the time

we hold more than five percent

of Ocean shares,

we can then show ourselves.

Then, we'll take him

by surprise.

Isn't it exciting?

I have thought about it.

I want to be the largest shareholder.

I have always hated

the name "Ocean".

After the acquisition,

I'm going to change the name.

What should I name it?

Zhengcai?

Zhengde?

Zhengcai?

The combination of virtue and talent.

To become

Ocean's largest shareholder

requires a huge sum of money.

Have you prepared the money?

I like to play big.

I have contacted Aihong Fund

and pledged

all of Zhengde shares

to raise funds.

Prepare enough ammunition

for war.

We have only one goal

which is to take down Li Ze Liang.

Yan.

Xie Yi.

You look nice today.

Thank you.

I have heard about your resignation

from Ocean.

I...

Yan.

We're out to have fun.

Let's not talk about this.

Come on.

There'll be a huge crowd

if we're late for certain activities.

Let's get inside first.

Okay.

What's the matter? Does your leg hurt?

I'm fine.

Look.

It's all good.

Oh, right, Xie Yi.

Wait for me.

I'll buy you a bottle of water.

I'll go.

It's not convenient for you.

Just sit tight.

Look.

I have this mini bike.

Wait for me.

Off we go!

(Huayi Grand Cinema)

You have such a good figure.

What do you think?

Can I become a spokesperson

for pin art sculpture now?

Xie Yi.

I feel so happy today.

If you like it here,

we can come here more often.

There's a cinema over there.

I think

the two of us

haven't gone to the movies together.

How about this?

Next time,

we can go together.

We did.

Are you talking about Yunfeng Hotel?

"Roman Holiday"?

I remember

you watched it at least five times that day.

I bet

you can recite all the lines in it.

That's right.

Do you remember

their lines

in the car?

"I have to leave you...

now."

"I'm going

to that corner there

and turn."

"You must stay in the car."

"Promise me

not to watch me

go beyond the corner."

"Just drive away."

"Don't mind me."

"Just leave me as I leave you."

These were the lines

that Ann said to Joe

before returning to the palace.

But I prefer the lines

that she said towards the end.

She said,

"My favorite city is Rome."

"By all means, Rome."

"Because..."

"Because this place

holds the most special memories for me."

(I take)

(your resignation from Ocean)

(as a gesture of goodwill.)

What about my sister?

Your sister is holding

today's morning paper.

It's enough to prove that she's still alive.

I told you.

What I want

is for you to break up with Li Ze Liang.

Before that happens,

I've decided to let her starve.

If you love your sister,

just do as I say.

Okay.

I'll break up with Li Ze Liang.

Very well.

Let's break up.

Xie Yi.

Are you doing this because of Xie Qing?

If it's because of Xie Qing,

I can explain.

When I met Xie Qing the other day,

she did tell me something.

Back then, Zhiwei went bankrupt

because of her.

But at that time,

something happened to Xie Qing.

I was afraid

that it would crush you.

That's why I didn't tell you.

That was so long ago.

What's the point of bringing it up now?

So are you going to break up with me

over this?

Xie Yi.

If you have any difficulties,

you can just tell me.

Li Ze Liang.

Don't you get it?

The sight of you

reminds me

of how

my dad and sister left me.

Let's not see each other again.

Don't contact me anymore.

From now on, we have nothing to do with each other.

Where are you going?

Are you going to see Xie Ming Hao?

He's not a good person!

Believe me, Xie Yi.

Do you remember

the K of Spades

that Huo Jian told you about?

Xie Ming Hao is K of Spades.

It was Xie Ming Hao who instructed your sister

to bankrupt Zhiwei,

and got Huo Jian

to drive Zhiwei to a corner.

It was him, Xie Ming Hao!

I'm well aware

of the kind of person he is.

I hope you can get things straight.

There's no more future for us.

Please let go.

Why would Miss Su

suddenly

want to break up with you?

She said

the sight of me

reminds her of Xie Qing

and Uncle Shen.

That's why

she couldn't face me.

Mr. Li.

Do you actually believe that?

I do have the inescapable responsibility

such tragedy wouldn't have happened.

They had a death wish.
