Xie Yi.

If we can't even

trust each other on this matter,

how can we spend the rest of our life together?

As I said,

the whole matter

doesn't add up.

I ordered the PR department

to contact He Jiang Hua.

But they couldn't reach him.

He went on a vacation.

I think

he's avoiding us.

Yan,

all I need is your trust.

However, there are rumors circling around.

Perhaps

you should

put my work to a halt for the time being.

No.

If I did so

before the dust settled,

people would be even more suspicious of us.

But I'm worried

it might cause you more trouble.

As I said, I trust you.

You have all the more reasons

to finish your work.

Deliver results

and prove your worth to everyone.

Thank you, Mr. Xie.

Contact me if you need anything.

Sure.

Ms. Shi.

Over here.

Why are you in a hurry

to see me?

I watched the press conference.

It was a success.

You don't seem

particularly happy.

Is something wrong?

This is Su Xie Yi's doing,

am I right?

Ms. Shi, calm down.

Hear me out.

Stop defending her.

Wine is the best truth potion.

You already

exposed her plan at the bar that night.

She is only staying in Ocean Hotel

so she can bring it down,

am I right?

The files of the Lantian Bay project

have been kept inside Ze Liang's home.

No one else

would have the chance to read them.

Not to mention

it's already a fact that she secretly

contacted He Jiang Hua.

Even a fool can tell

what's going on.

What more is there to be explained?

Mr. Xie.

I want you to be honest with me today.

Is this

Su Xie Yi's doing?

Did she do it or not?

Say something.

Ms. Shi.

Allow me to apologize on her behalf.

I see.

She really is here for revenge.

Why didn't you

tell me sooner?

Xie Yi is Xie Qing's only family.

I cannot hurt her.

But she is hurting the others.

Ms. Shi.

Two years ago, Mr. Shen passed away.

Zhiwei went bankrupt.

Her sister went mad.

Xie Yi had already

suffered too much.

She blames Ocean Hotel for her loss.

She is filled with hatred.

Huo Jian has been arrested,

but she refused to give up just yet.

She will not stop

until Ocean Hotel

goes bankrupt.

So,

she was merely taking advantage

of Ze Liang's feelings for her.

Am I right?

I could only stand there and watch

as she uses Mr. Li's love for her

for revenge.

I couldn't do anything.

She's been

like a sister to me.

I can't bring myself

to betray my family.

But I am worried

if she stays on this path,

there will be

damage that can't be undone.

If you know she is playing with fire,

we have

all the more reasons to stop her!

What more can we do?

Li Ze Liang is madly in love with her.

We have no evidence.

No matter what you say,

he will never believe you.

It will only make him

misunderstand you even more.

The two of you will only

grow further apart.

Fine.

Su Xie Yi can put on an act.

But every plan

comes with a flaw.

Mr. Xie.

Since you agree

that she must be stopped,

at least our interest

aligns.

What do you mean?

I don't know Su Xie Yi very well,

but I know Li Xe Liang.

He never mixes business with personal matters,

he's reasonable.

He may love Su Xie Yi with all his life,

but with enough evidence to prove

Su Xie Yi is just using him for revenge

and she does mean

to bring Ocean Hotel down,

I believe

he will

make the right choice.

Ms. Shi.

I understand your intention.

But I don't have any proof

against Xie Yi.

Trust me.

Why do

I encourage you to win Mr. Li over?

That's because I believe

you love him more than anyone else.

You are the right person for him.

Mr. Li's relationship with Xie Yi

is just a terrible mistake.

But I lack the evidence

to put an end to this mistake.

How would I know

if you are being honest with me?

How about this?

Xie Yi will not give up on her revenge.

If we pay attention,

we will find the flaw

in her plan.

Are you certain you can pull this off?

Mr. Li and his company will only remind Xie Yi

of her tragic past

with Mr. Shen and Zhiwei.

They will only bring her pain.

I don't want her to live

in this constant hatred.

I want her to leave this company.

Then,

I'll take Xie Yi

and Xie Qing back to Germany.

We'll start a new life there

and never come back.

You and Mr. Li

will never see us again.

Aren't you worried

that Su Xie Yi might hate you

after knowing what you've done?

All I ask is for her

to let go of this obsession.

But I need something in return.

We can find out

the flaw in Xie Yi's plan

and let Mr. Li learn the truth,

but I don't want her

to get hurt.

You really

care a lot about her.

We all want to protect

our loved ones.

Very well.

I agree with your term.

With the two of us joining hands,

I believe

we can realize our goal.

Very well.

Calm down for the moment.

Once I've dug up

some lead on Xie Yi,

we'll talk again.

Are you still thinking about what happened earlier?

It's behind us.

Don't trouble yourself with it.

From what I heard,

Ms. Shi has never taken a leave

ever since she started working in Ocean Hotel.

She must be very upset

to have taken a leave.

Don't be paranoid.

She's been working too hard lately.

A vacation is good for her.

She is a smart person.

Once she's calmed down,

she will realize

something is amiss.

But now that she is away,

you will have even more tasks on your hands.

You'll be busier than ever.

Don't worry.

I'll manage.

You said you wanted me

to focus on my work.

Is there anything

I can help you with?

There is one thing.

What is it?

You mentioned that you want to

participate

in the Lantian Bay project?

The project needs to purchase

a batch of wall insulation material.

Ms. Shi didn't close the deal.

With her away,

the purchasing has been set aside.

Can I leave it to you?

Ms. Shi has been in charge

of the Lantian Bay project.

Besides,

she doesn't want me to intervene.

Xie Yi.

You are more than just

Ms. Shi's subordinate,

you are my girlfriend.

You will be

the future wife of Ocean Hotel's President.

You will get involved eventually.

This is your chance

to prove your worth in the company

to Ms. Shi and everyone else.

I believe in you.

With your capability,

you'll do great.

I assure you,

I'll give it my best

and live up to the name.

Don't push yourself too hard.

Even if the sky was falling down,

I'd be there for you.

Go to sleep.

You first.

What is it?

I need to check

the files of the insulation material.

Don't stay up too late.

Our insulation boards

are all imported.

They are the finest polystyrene boards.

They are great fire retardants.

They will satisfy your need.

Do you have a large amount of ready stock?

I need to request from the headquarters.

Considering the production and shipping,

it will at least take one month.

Thank you, I will consider.

Sure.

I look forward to it.

Thank you.

Xie Yi.

Hello, Ming Hao.

Sorry,

I've been busy with work lately.

It's more convenient

for us

to meet here.

It's all right.

I've read

the headlines.

I was worried about you.

So I decided to pay a visit.

How are you doing?

I'm doing just fine.

Yan was right.

Now is the time for me

to prove my worth with results.

I expected as much from you.

You've always been so strong.

I saw you

meeting with a client just now.

What was it about?

It was a construction material supplier.

Why would you need construction materials?

Are you renovating the house?

It's not me.

It's company work.

The Lantian Bay project

requires a batch of insulation boards.

I need

a reliable supplier.

Insulation board?

Ming Hao,

do you know someone?

I helped

a supplier with a lawsuit.

I think they

started out as

insulation board agents.

They are very respectable.

Really?

Could you introduce them to me?

I thought Ocean Hotel

had its own suppliers.

They do,

but

our dealings with them were handled by Huo Jian.

There could be some

illicit transactions.

Insulation boards

concern the safety of

the Lantian Bay project.

I don't trust them.

But I need progress

and ready stock.

In that case,

I'll contact them.

They sell quality products.

We can have a look at their workshop.

How about now?

Is it that urgent?

Sure.

We can go there right now.

Thank you, Ming Hao.

Sure.

We've been in the business

for over a decade.

You can see the quality

of our business partners.

Our production lines are top-notch.

The supply

won't be a problem.

Your products

are decent.

You've met all the safety standards.

This is great.

I'm flattered, Miss Su.

We've been looking forward

to partnering up with Ocean Hotel.

Great. In that case,

let's get down

to the contract.

I'll get down to business.

As you know, we need a large supply

for the project.

So I'm hoping the price

can go down a little.

Mr. Fang.

Miss Su here is my family.

She came here

with goodwill.

If everything goes well,

we can close the deal today.

Sure, Miss Su.

I like

your straightforward demeanor.

How about this?

I'll give you a ten percent discount.

Make it 20 percent,

okay?

Miss Su,

that is the best I can do.

Do you know how much

that ten percent is?

It's almost three million yuan.

We still

have a business to run here.

Okay.

I'll have the contract ready for you.

Great.

By the way, Mr. Fang,

could I have the address?

It's the end of the year.

Ocean Hotel

has a gift for every

business partner.

And now

you are one of our business partners.

We want to send you a gift too.

I appreciate the thought.

One kindness for another.

I'd love to have

your address too.

I'm sending it now.

Great.

After the project is over,

I'll send a gift

to that address.

A token of goodwill.

I hope you don't mind.

Thank you.

All the best.

All the best.

Ming Hao.

Thanks to you,

I managed

to get this great supplier.

I'll tell Yan the credits

go to you.

Let's not tell Mr. Li.

Why not?

I am Ocean Hotel's legal consultant.

There would be negative rumors if people knew

that I knew the supplier.

Understood.

After the contract is signed,

let me treat you to dinner.

I'm content

that I was able to help.

By the way,

you mentioned

transferring my sister to another hospital.

It's done.

Xie Qing needs some time

to acclimate.

We'll visit her together

when we're free.

Sure.

Mr. Li.

That man is Qin.

He was in charge of

fish breeding at Yunxiao Fishery.

Have you contacted him?

Before the owner Tang Zheng ran away with money,

he was owed a large sum of salary.

I promise to reimburse him.

Let's go.

Okay.

Good morning, Qin.

Mr. Ji.

This must be Mr. Li.

He does look like a righteous man.

Qin,

I'll get to the point.

From what I heard,

you were

very close with Tang Zheng, the owner

of Yunxiao Fishery.

Yes.

We used to drink

and fish together.

Who would have thought?

He ran away after owing me so much money.

Who was Tang Zheng anyway?

How did a new company

manage

to become Zhiwei's business partner?

I couldn't be sure either.

When I last met him,

I wanted to grab a drink with him

and get my money back.

But in the end,

he got drunk

and started crying.

He told me he wasn't the owner.

He also told me

someone used him to launder money.

Did he tell you

who the real owner was?

He said it was a girl.

I don't know the whole story either.

If he didn't have the money,

where is it then?

I asked.

He said

the money went into an anonymous account.

No one knows about it.

Do you know the account number?

How could I possibly know?

I'm just a fish breeder.

I'm not even sure

if the account existed.

I bet

he made up some stories

so he wouldn't have to pay me.

But of course,

I believe

you are nothing like him.

You're good people.

Sure.

If you need to know anything,

just let me know.

Thank you.

Bye.

Thanks.

Mr. Li,

do you believe Qin's story?

Tang Zheng had no reason to lie to him.

Besides,

drunk people tell the truth.

I find the story plausible.

If Tang Zheng was merely

holding the shares for someone,

who could that woman be?

Back then,

before Mr. Shen jumped off the building,

he told me he was protecting his family.

He asked me

to give up on the investigation.

He said everything was over.

I found it baffling.

I didn't understand

why he would say that.

But now,

I think I get it.

Do you think he was a scapegoat?

And the person he protected

was his family?

If the person could manage transactions

and receive the stock,

there could only be one person.

That person was Shen Xie Qing.

Do you think Shen Xie Qing

is K of Spades?

After Zhiwei was shut down,

Shen Xie Qing lost her mind.

If Shen Xie Qing

forced Huo Jian to bring down Zhiwei...

That doesn't add up.

It doesn't make sense.

It must be Xie Ming Hao!

So far,

he's the prime suspect.

He is extremely devious.

Back then,

he must have given Shen Xie Qing support

for all her underhand dealings.

So now it's pivotal to find out

who owned the anonymous account.

If we find it

and check its records,

we can track down

where Zhiwei's money went to.

We'll have solid proof.

But Shen Xie Qing has lost her mind.

Perhaps we could ask Miss Su.

After all, she is Xie Qing's sister.

Perhaps Miss Su

knows a thing or two.

Xie Yi had been living abroad.

She barely

had any idea

about her family business.

Shen Xie Qing

is now her only family.

Before we learn the truth,

I won't trouble her with the case.

Mr. Li,

you once mentioned

when you told Shen Xie Qing

Zhiwei had gone bankrupt,

she seemed triggered.

That means

she has regained her consciousness.

Maybe it's possible that she might

remember the anonymous account.

The exposé

was merely part of the preparation.

More importantly,

we need Shi Chu Chu

to be on our side.

The final blow comes later.

What is your plan now?

I've set up the stage for this play.

Your job is to enjoy it.

You read my mind.

Come on.

Have a drink.

Cheers, Mr. Dai.

Darn you, Dai!

You tricked me!

You told me it was an exclusive scoop!

The Lantian Bay project was abandoned

by Ocean Hotel,

it was just a pile of junk!

Listen up.

I'm in this business

for the reputation.

And now what?

Li Ze Liang showed the world

his new plan for the project firsthand.

I was totally embarrassed!

You are responsible for this!

Watch your attitude!

I paid you.

I have the record.

You took bribe money to slander Ocean Hotel.

The proof is undeniable.

Let's analyze

the consequences for him.

Your reputation will be ruined.

You will spend the rest of your life in jail.

Let's sing!

♪You carry the pole♪

Mr. Dai has a bad temper.

Don't mind it.

Don't worry.

I have a plan that will

but make you famous.

What is your plan?

You'll know soon enough.

Mr. Dai,

to your health.

Cheers.

It smells great.

Welcome home.

The food just arrived.

Are we having hot pot tonight?

Yes.

Aren't you touched

by this thoughtful gesture?

Yan,

I have good news

for you.

I have found a supplier

to provide us

with the insulation boards.

Have a look.

That was fast.

Not bad.

Impressive, Miss Su.

Great work.

If this is enough

to earn your compliment,

I need to work even harder.

I must live up to your expectation.

Go wash your hands.

Then, get ready for dinner.

Sure.

Yan,

what are these crayons for?

The last time I visited Xie Qing,

I startled her.

I think I owe her an apology,

so I bought some crayons

and drawing sheets.

I plan to

visit her again.

But you will

have to wait.

After our last visit,

my sister's mental state has been unstable.

Ming Hao transferred her

to a different sanatorium.

We'll visit her

another time.

Xie Ming Hao transferred her

to a different sanatorium

and wouldn't let you visit her?

Ming Hao wants

what's best for my sister.

Xie Yi,

wait for me at the parking lot.

I need to use the restroom.

Okay.

None of your concern.

What's on your mind? Dig in.

Go wash your hands.

Then, you can have dinner.

Fine.

What condiments do you want?

I want some soy sauce and vinegar,

and some tabasco pepper.

Sorry, Mr. Li.

I am busy,

so I can't stay here for too long.

Even with all your work,

you still make time to look after Xie Qing.

It couldn't have been easy.

Not bad.

I am not as busy

as you are.

After all,

you have a big hotel to run.

Xie Yi told me

Xie Qing's condition has deteriorated.

I feel bad for what happened.

But fortunately,

I know

a psychologist.

He is coming to Shanghai.

We could let him

have a look at Xie Qing.

You are too kind, Mr. Li.

Thank you.

But that won't be necessary.

I transferred her

to a top-notched

nursing home.

The professional staff takes care of her.

She is doing much better now.

But this expert

has plenty of experience.

It'd be such a shame

to miss this opportunity.

To be honest with you,

I've taken Xie Qing

to many doctors.

Nothing seemed to work.

But then I realized

what she needs

isn't more doctors,

she needs my company and protection.

Which sanatorium

has she been transferred to?

Xie Yi has been talking about

how she missed her sister.

As the younger sister,

she must

see her sister at some point.

Once Xie Qing is doing better,

I will inform her.

How long will it take?

I wouldn't be too sure.

After all,

you caused it.

Had you not

agitated Xie Qing,

I wouldn't have gotten my hands full.

Excuse me,

I must go now.

Thank you for the coffee.

Hello?

Mr. Li,

I searched all the sanatoriums in this city,

Shen Xie Qing isn't in any of them.

I suspect Xie Ming Hao

has never sent Xie Qing

into a sanatorium.

Follow him.

He will go see her eventually.

Yes.

Xie Ming Hao is very cautious.

Use a different car.

Yes.

Deep down,

you just want to cover up for her.

Ms. Shi.

It's you who shouldn't let emotions get the better of you.

you could have found out

about this case.

(Why would I encourage you)

What?

She always wanted

She didn't have the chance because of me.

But as soon as I went away,

she's taking charge.

She really is impatient.

I pointed her

to the supplier.

He told me
