until our fingers were getting numb.

While we worked to relieve the cerebral hemorrhage...

Michael administered his cryogenic therapy.

A cooling agent to further retard the body's metabolism...

combined with powerful anti-toxins to ward off cellular damage.

I've never been more proud of my team.

We knew we would be on the threshold of a whole new era in medical science...

if Michael's theories were successful, if Jaime came back to life.

And now, we were ready for the final test.

there was some cellular damage to the temporal lobes...

which store and control the bulk of her past memory.

Whatever memory she has now began two days ago...

when she awakened to find Michael with her.

How is she?

She's... resting.

We planned to keep Michael's surgery a secret as long as Jaime was in a coma.

To spare you losing her again.

We'd hoped to bring you good news.

I appreciate what you did for Jaime, especially you, Michael.

Will her memory ever return?

I guess what it means is we're just not certain.

There's still a remote possibility that some fragments of her memory...

may be stored in cells adjacent to the damaged area.

But the odds are against it...

and may take a great deal of time to show up if it happens at all.

Are you going to try to stimulate her memory?

We can't do too much too soon.

There's a certain amount of danger involved.

I feel that if we attempt to stimulate Jaime's memory of the past...

we may re-stimulate the sensations of pain she felt...

from the hemorrhage that killed her.

if we try to stimulate her memory too much.

What about Steve's relationship with Jaime?
