So...

that's Suimitsutou...

The plan was I wouldn't come out

unless the operation went wrong.

Mamiya Akari!

Kanzaki Aria!

I'm not as gentle as Kyouchikutou!

Don't get in my way!

Now, you'd better release my precious and adorable little sister!

Otherwise,

who knows how many people will have to die?

Kyouchikutou!

Just like I promised, your kind big sister has come to rescue you!

Are you watching?!

Am I cool or what?!

You're embarrassing me, Onee-san.

It would've been better if you had just stayed on standby forever.

I never imagined a monster such as that was waiting in the wings...

I can't believe I can only sit and watch...

Hey, don't you have any more medicine?

Don't be hasty.

You should recover soon.

Please be patient.

Kyouchikutou and Suimitsutou...

I love peach buns,

but not people named after them.

Suimitsutou...

I was told that

her mecha is a prototype unit developed for combat by IU.

Suimitsutou infiltrated in order to both support Kyouchikutou and test the unit.

She's probably planning to run amok like that until she gets her sister back.

Mamiya-sama! Are you okay?!

Kirin-chan!

Where are you?!

I'm coming to rescue you!

It's too dangerous to meet up right now.

We're fine, so you hurry up and escape!

But...

Kirin-chan! Get Shino-chan to a doctor right away!

Okay. Please be careful.

Kyouchikutou! Are you watching?!

This is what it was like two years ago.

Huh?

Our homes were attacked.

And many people were injured.

I have to do something!

Akari!

Yeah! Yeah!

My, my...

You're not dead yet?

You sure are persistent.

I'm sorry.

Close-quarters combat is too dangerous.

Do you have your gun?

Yes!

What's the matter?

Have you given up already?

Looks like it might work.

Huh?

Akari, do exactly as I tell you.

Okay. Whatever you say!

Huh?

We're going to use that ?

That's right.

I'll act as a decoy and get her attention,

use that chance to go meet up with Reki and the others.

I've already told Reki about the plan.

It's too dangerous!

If you use the smoke as cover, you can buy some time.

Don't worry. I won't be beaten that easily.

Then...

I'll be the decoy!

Huh?!

What're you saying?! You can't possibly—

You told me not to say "I can't," didn't you, Aria-senpai?

This is a bit different from...

Besides, you're the only one who can use that .

The correct course of action is for me to be the decoy!

I'm going!

Akari!

One acts as a decoy to allow the other to make a move, huh?

They sure are predictable.

All I need to do is get them both before they can act!

What a piss poor attack!

Akari is what...?

She's keeping Suimitsutou's attention on her.

Can you help us?

Yes!

The poison is wearing off, too.

What do you want us to do?

Back up Akari and me.

Reki.

We want you to use these guns and shells.

What's this?

I... I want to help, too.

Shino!

I tried to stop her, but she wouldn't listen.

Akari-san is in a pinch.

I can't just sit back and do nothing!

Okay. I'll explain the plan.

Tsk!

It's hard to hit such a small target!

Humph! And I've run out of bullets.

All right!

Die!

Oh, that was clever.

She's stuck! Now!

A smoke screen?!

It's our turn!

Yes, Urara-sama!

My monitors are...!

They think they contained my movement like this?!

I'll deal with you first!

Aria-senpai!

Your timing was perfect.

Yup! After all, you taught me to be punctual!

Stop it! Let go of me!

Don't touch me!

This is it. No more worries.

You did a good job. It's a great accomplishment!

Aria-senpai...!

We both got arrested...

Returning to IU seems impossible now.

I see...

Got it. Thanks.

Kyouchikutou accepted a plea bargain

and told them how to make the antidote for her Fuchou Poison.

I think your sister will get better soon.

What a relief...

It's all thanks to you, Aria-senpai.

Thank you very much!

You'll be fine without me now.

Huh?

What do you mean by... without you?

This was our first and last time working on a case together.

If you want to become someone's Amica, find someone else.

Am I too weak, after all?

Or is it because I was keeping a secret from you?

No, no. Not at all.

I'm not concerned about those things.

It's like I told you before,

you and I are just too different.

I'm the lone wolf type.

And you're the type that works well with a group of friends.

Even if you stay with me, you won't learn much.

B-But...!

Isn't there a point in being together precisely because we're differ—

Besides...

as I told you the other day, I have a lot of enemies.

If you stay with me, you'd be put in a lot of danger.

Believe me. This is for your own good.

Find someone else to be an Amica for.

Someone more cooperative than me.

Someone with an excellent reputation and a lot of friends.

But... you're the only—

Akari!

Akari-san!

Mamiya-sama!

Akari!

Well then, I'll get going.

I snuck out of the hospital, so I should hurry back.

Aria-senpai!

The time I spent together with you...

was pretty fun.

Goodbye, Akari.

Become a fine Butei.

Akari!

Are you hurt?

Mamiya-sama!

Akari!

Aria-senpai!

Please let me take your Amica test one more time!

Don't make me say it again.

If you stay with me, you'll be put in danger.

But that won't be a problem if I'm strong enough, right?

Strong enough to be able to help you.

I won't try to forget the Mamiya techniques anymore.

I'll use...

all my might to defeat you!

What you just said really ticked me off.

You, defeat me?

A D-rank beating me, an S-rank?

Yes.

If you lose, you'll give up for sure?

It's the same test as before.

You win if you manage to take your gun back.

But this time, I won't be just running.

I'll come at you, too.

I told you about this before.

This is a martial art passed down in my family.

Strong...

She really is strong!

I guess that wasn't an empty boast.

Tobiugachi won't be enough...

Now that it's come to this,

I have no choice but to use Takamakuri!

But...

Here's my seventh piece of advice for you.

Fight every opponent

with all your might, no matter who they are.

It's rude to not fight seriously.

Yes!

To tell you the truth...

I thought this would happen someday.

I knew you were the only one who could drive me into a corner.

And...

I'm the only one who can beat you.

Kanzaki Aria!

I will defeat you!

I can safely discharge your attack if I'm off the ground.

If there's nothing for you to discharge on,

then you can't use that trick!

I got it!

I did it!

That technique can be also canceled out if your opponent spins with you.

And you were defeated even though you took your gun back.

You're not thorough.

Looks like you still have a lot to learn.

But, well...

We'll just call this your win.

Nonoka! Why didn't you wake me up?!

When I tried to...

you slapped me.

Ah... Sorry.

Well then, Nonoka. I'm heading out now.

Watch out for cars!

I saw that incident being reported as a tanker truck accident in the news.

And we were also told not to tell anyone about the details.

The situation seems somewhat complicated.

Yeah.

But I think it'll become clear someday.

Aria-senpai said so, too.

Akari-san, no matter what happens, we'll always be there to help you.

So come to us anytime. Don't hesitate.

Thanks!

Before that,

please help Kirin out!

W-With what?

We want you to give us lessons again.

Let's go!

H-Hey!

Let's go! Let's go!

W-Wait!

Let's go!

She's as popular as always.

Akari-san, if you like, let's go get some leaf pies to—

Hold it right there!

Hm?

Akari is going out for dinner with me.

I've already arranged first-class food!

What's your problem, all of a sudden?!

Akari-san's coming to get leaf pies with me!

Yuyu! Yaya! Do it!

Yes, Urara-sama!

Oh ho ho ho ho ho ho!

Hey, let go of me! I'll use my katana on you!

Shino-chan, Takachiho-chan. Sorry!

I have to go see Aria-senpai again today!

Huh?!

Well then, see you tomorrow!

Ya

In the end, this is always...

...how it turns out for us, huh?

Excuse me, Urara-sama...

What should we do with the food we ordered?

It would be a waste to throw it away...

Do you wanna join me?

I guess... I don't have any other plans.

Would you like to work together on a plan

to get Akari-san away from Aria?

Sounds good. Let's discuss it thoroughly.

I feel like there's more trouble brewing...

But that's so...

wonderful!

That was awesome, Aria!

You crushed Kyouchikutou, her sister, and the bus hijackers, too.

What kind of people were the perpetrators?

There was a plea bargain.

I can't talk about them.

Tee-hee-hee-hee-hee-hee.

Could it be she told you something about them, Riko-senpai?

Not at all.

Aria is just so cold to me.

More importantly,

I heard Suimitsutou accepted the plea bargain, too.

Takamagahara-sensei also complimented you.

Aww, shucks.

But...

for Butei, bringing things to an end with an enemy isn't the end of the story.

Now that you're my official Amica, keep your wits about you.

Yes!

Hm?

It's been a while.

Are you and Shino-san getting along well?

Yes, Hotogi-senpai!

Touyama Kinji!

Hm?

Kanzaki Aria!

Hm?

Are you guys hanging out together again?

We're not just "hanging out"!

Aria-senpai and I are headed to work now!

Some of the guys involved in the crime the other day are still on the loose.

We're going to help catch them.

I see. Don't push too hard.

We don't need you to worry about us!

Don't worry. We'll be fine.

Oh?

Well then, see you around.

Let's hurry up and go! Hurry!

What's the matter, Kin-chan?

Nothing...

I just thought she seemed a bit different.

All things are constantly changing and new paths constantly open.

That is the way of Butei.

We'll go around from the back.

Okay!

What're you doing?!

I'm sorry!

Bullet

A Pair of As

You're going back to being a trainee, after all!

Huuuuuuh?!
