If you want to punish him, punish me as well.

I share responsibility for what happened today too!

What responsibility do you have?

Miss Beholden,

this has nothing to do with you!

I was also fully aware that Mrs. Fan

took the prisoner away.

I failed to report it,

so I'm also guilty.

I'm merely a lowly physician—

what does it matter if you beat me to death?

These are military regulations.

Military regulations?

Then I should kneel first.

Wait!

Your Lordship.

Something has happened in the cave.

Shi Yue deployed a few top-tier fighters

who dug through the wall,

trying to rescue Sui Yuanqing.

If Mrs. Fan hadn't happened to take him away,

that rascal might have already been rescued.

Although Mrs. Fan

violated military orders by acting on her own,

she secured the hostage.

In my opinion,

her merits cancel out her faults.

Right, Your Lord...

Right, Your Lordship?

Well,

since the Counselor and the Physician both plead for leniency,

then...

I'll let you off this time?

Yan Zheng!

-Thank you, Your Lordship! -Thank you, Your Lordship!

[Pursuit of Jade]

[Episode 26]

Mrs. Fan is no ordinary woman.

You should've seen it—

those 50 or 60-catty salt sacks,

she hoisted them onto her shoulders,

four at a time!

Carrying salt sacks in one hand

and a whole roast lamb in the other while running—

she was also the fastest one!

That valiant, heroic bearing of hers—

she was truly like a deity descended from heaven!

I also heard that

when Mrs. Fan was hauling bricks at the Wu River camp,

she carried 300 catties all by herself

-in one go! -How much?

Three hundred catties?

Who told you that?

Each basket weighed 300 catties—

she could carry two on her own!

That's 600 catties!

-Six hundred catties? -Six hundred catties?

Can anyone really be that strong?

I recognize you.

You're the ones who earned merits alongside Mrs. Fan—

the Pig Squad.

The Pig Butcher Squad.

Right, the Pig Butcher Squad!

Have a seat, man.

-Sit, sit. -Come on, man.

Have a seat, man.

Sit, sit.

Speaking of that night,

it was a moonless, windy night.

Mrs. Fan suddenly noticed

something strange outside the camp.

Suddenly, with a bang, she kicked

open that wooden door

locked with iron chains.

Mrs. Fan

kicked the camp gate open in one kick,

chased for 10 li alone on horseback,

and killed that scout!

She kicked open the big iron gate of the military camp

and ran 80 li without stopping.

With swift, decisive blows,

she returned with the heads of three enemy scouts!

Mrs. Fan used to be

a butcher.

Everyone in Lin'an Town

knows her.

With one slap,

she could knock a big fat pig out cold!

Back in those days,

she was valiant and heroic.

When fighting bandits,

she could take on 100 enemies alone

without losing ground.

She once kicked open the city gate.

Even thousands of bandits at the gate

were no match for her alone.

She charged alone into Shi Hu's camp,

carrying four sacks of salt,

five sacks of rice, six baskets of vegetables,

and four roasted whole lambs—

moving as if no one could stop her!

I also heard

she once killed a bear with a single slap!

One capable woman is worth ten men.

She's really capable.

Her husband sure is lucky.

But I heard

her husband is seriously injured this time.

He's been coughing up blood.

He might not make it.

He's dying.

They've already moved him into a private tent.

Even if he doesn't die, he won't be in good shape.

No wonder Mrs. Fan only grabbed meat this time.

Turns out she's making her husband's last meal.

She's truly devoted and faithful.

Sister.

You came following the smell, didn't you?

The lamb soup will be ready in a bit.

I also heard...

heard that you snatched the mutton

just to make the last meal for your husband.

They're just making things up.

Don't listen to them.

They made all that up?

If those rumors reach the Marquis of Wu'an,

I'm afraid he might have those people's heads cut off.

He wouldn't go that far, right?

The Marquis of Wu'an,

apart from stuttering a little,

seems to have a good temper.

He didn't make things hard for my husband and me, after all.

I don't

have anything fancy to repay him with.

So I made some

lamb soup, stew,

and stir-fry.

Later, help me take them to him.

So you don't hold a grudge against the Marquis of Wu'an anymore?

How could I hold a grudge?

Every trade has its rules.

Even we butchers

have rules about not giving away extras—

let alone in the army.

I acted on my own this time.

Luckily, reinforcements came.

If they hadn't come,

I would've died along with that bastard.

It really wouldn't have been worth it.

I'll definitely follow orders

and strike wherever I'm ordered to!
