That is, like, super retro.

it's a 7 Up aluminum cooler.

I mean, this is pretty old.

Do you have any idea
about what year was made?

- 1950s.
- Okay.

- You know what 7 Up
was originally called?

- What?

- Bib-Label Lithiated
Lemon-Lime Soda.

- Mmm. Sounds yummy.

- They put this
on the can, or--

- Apparently they did.

I mean, a couple years later,
they changed it

to 7 Up Lithiated
Lemon-Lime Soda.

And then a few years
after that, they said,

what are we doing?
And then just called it 7 Up.

But no one knows exactly why
they started calling it 7 Up.

But there's
a bunch of theories.

- So why'd they make them
out of aluminum

back then instead of steel?

- They made them
out of aluminum

because it was kind of cool.

It was, like, the "in" thing
in the '50s and the '60s.

And it was lightweight.

And also, it doesn't rust.

So it was a better choice
for a cooler

that was gonna be wet
all the time.

I mean,
it's definitely collectible.

- It looks like
it's a little rough, man.

It's seen
its better days, though.

I mean, what's it gonna take
to restore this thing?

- Not much.

A little polishing,
a little paint.

I could probably sell it
the way it is.

It really doesn't
need to be restored.

And if it was
gonna be restored,

I could do that myself
in the garage.

- If you take it to your
house to restore it,

you're gonna end up keeping it.

- I was looking to sell it
for about 400 bucks?

duffel bag.

the history of Christian Dior.

I know Louis Vuitton started
with the big steamer trunks

and stuff like that.

I mean, it's just one of
those things where it says,

hey, I'm here, I've arrived,
I'm doing well in life.

And that's kind of why
this stuff is really expensive.

A lot of people
really love Galliano.

And I love this
because it's such

a big size that
it can definitely

be either a man or a woman.

the classic Louis bag.

I mean, this is timeless.

This is the Louis bag where
you want people to know,

like, hey, I made it.

So it looks good.

It's got a little wear
on the handles,

but that's where
you want the wear

because it shows it was used.

of Mike and Sulley

from "Monsters, Inc."

So they're pretty cool.

I mean, right away,
we obviously know

the movie "Monsters, Inc."

2001 is when this movie
came out.

Mike and Sulley
were two monsters.

Basically they were part
of the power company

with a bunch of other monsters,
and they had to scare the kids

to create the power
for the city.

And as the movie progresses,
they realize

they can produce more power
by making the kids laugh.

So it has a good
moral value in it,

but they don't look like
they fit under the bed.

- [laughs]
Definitely not.

- So where did you get them?

- Well, my husband bought
them from somebody who

had them for their playroom.

But I don't have room for them,
so I need to sell them.

- I really love the Mike,
but Sulley's really cool

because he's, like,
covered in fur.

And when you touch him,
he's just--

- Soft.
- It's really soft.

- I actually think
that he smiles

kind of like you, Chumlee.

- He is alarmingly attractive.
What can I say?

- It's funny to think that this
is a Steve Jobs movie, right?

Most people don't even
realize that.

Pixar was created
by Steve Jobs,

and he actually had this idea
to bring these characters

from the movie to life,
so called up a company

named Idea Planet,
and this is the kind of stuff

they came up with.

These ones probably
don't talk, I don't think.

But they did have
some models that

you could actually
interact with.

Pretty cool.

So how much are you
looking to get for these?

- I was hoping
for $4,000 for the pair.

- Okay, there is a market
of these selling,

and the last Sully sold for
around $2,500,

and the last Mike sold
for around $700.

mid- to late-1950s,

super inexpensive
horror flicks.

a specialized, weird thing.

Some of this stuff was
re-released in the '60s.

So we have to find
out if these are

the original ones from the '50s
or if they're from the '60s.

But my buddy Andy is actually

He does all posters,

know everything about them.

She-Monster."

That's fantastic too.

So all of these appear
to be mid- to late-'50s

from the Changes era,
which comes right after

the Golden era of film.

It's basically
the movie theaters

doing everything they can
to compete with television.

And all of these
are quintessential

of that time period.

- Okay, so are these
the original posters?

They're not reprints?

- These look authentic to me.

I'm so thrilled
to see them in person.

- Okay. What are they worth?

- Honestly, Rick, I think as
a group, there's more value.

It's an instant collection.

So I would think you have
$6,500 worth of posters

sitting here as a collection.

Actually, I think
it's kind of cool.

It looks old.

It looks like
the pottery they made,

like, a couple thousand
years ago.

The Indigenous people of Mexico
were incredible artists

when it came to pottery.

I think it's kind of amazing.

to get out of this?

intrigued because

it could be very, very old.

But it's in
incredible condition,

which is kind of scary.

I'd like someone to look

So they would use a stone,

and they would polish this

before it would go in the kiln.

Got nice manganese blooms,

I see that there are
repairs in the body.

They're almost invisible.

So whoever restored this,
they did a fabulous job.

this is 100% real?

- Yeah, 100% real,
300 B.C. to 300 A.D., ancient.

- So what's it worth?

- It's authentic,
it's old, it's rare.

It's stunning.

The standalone book over here,
it's obviously a decoration.

- It's the book about a judge,

and he tried witches
and stuff like that.

- Printed in London in 1716.

- About a witch trial in 1662

that later formed the basis

of the Salem witch trials
in the 1690s.

- I'm asking $2,500
for the book.

- Absolutely, yeah.

So this trial right here
was a landmark case

because Cotton Mather
used this as the authority

to say we will use
spectral evidence

in the Salem witch trials.

- This is in okay shape.

So you have the rebind, which
is not the end of the world.

And then, of course, you have
the 1716 imprint here,

which tells me, too,
this is not the first edition.

This was printed after the
Salem witch trials, right?

So we know that first edition
is gonna be more desirable

because we know that's
the edition that influenced

the Salem witch trials.
- Correct.

- So as far as value goes,

I would place
this particular copy

around $1,500 to $1,600.

- I have a rocket
engine that was used

to train the astronauts
before they landed on the moon.

- So you have a rocket engine.

- I do.

- That's really cool.

This right here was a major,
major part of NASA,

and it was never really
talked about that much.

They had this crazy vehicle.

It simulated
the moon's gravity,

which is a lot less than ours.

Now, somewhere over here,
there was a tank

of 90% hydrogen peroxide.

And somewhere past that
was probably a nitrogen tank

with, like,
a few thousand pounds PSI.

And right around here,
there was a valve.

And they would open that up,
and it would shoot

hydrogen peroxide down there.

When you have that pure
of hydrogen peroxide,

it immediately reacts, and
creating 500 pounds of thrust.

Okay, so right here we have?

- That's actually the paperwork
that came with this engine

that was issued by NASA.

And it has the vehicle number.

And if you look, the paperwork
correlates with this tag.

- It's epic.

I'll give you that.

How much do you want for it?

- $20,000.

- I'll give you
10 grand for it.

- I would be hesitant to
let it go at that price.

I'll counter with $16,000.

- I mean, the thing is, I have
no idea what this thing

is gonna sell for.

I was in the warehouse
the other day.

I'm noticing the brake cable
was a little messed up,

so I brought it home to fix it.

It's a Honda ATC
70 utility vehicle.

- It's an '85.

Where did you get this?

- I bought it from a buddy of
mine that lives about an hour

away, and he is obsessed with
trikes, bikes, everything.

- Yeah, someone has
obviously modified

the hell out of this thing.
- Yeah.

- I mean, yeah,
there was a million

little accessories for them.

You could literally turn them
into a snowmobile

if you wanted to.
- Yeah.

- Now, the big question.
How much you want for it?

- I bought it $4,500 brand new,
but it was in mint condition.

- It looks like it's been
beat up a little bit.

- Oh, I had fun with it.

I had tons of fun with it.

So $2,400?

- I'll give you 1,500 bucks.

- $1,800.

We'll just settle
at 1,700 bucks

- I haven't done
anything to it.

I got it just the way it is.

Actually, it runs
really, really good.

go-karts when you're riding

but it's got good roots to it.

Yeah, she's got her issues,
but she's all right.

The front tire rubs
when you go around a corner.

changing the tranny out,

at least six months
of restoring it.

it was one of Maurice Sendak's

earliest books,
written and actually

illustrated as well.

These are all original
illustrations.

Everything is one of a kind.

- These are amazing.

It was the greatest book
ever written.

are really priceless.

the collection at

There's a whole set of
canisters and everything

that I bought.
It's all Kromex.

Kromex aluminum spice rack
and kitchen canisters.

- I believe this is from
the early '50s, right?

- Around 1957.
- Okay, definitely pretty cool.

At one point, aluminum was
one of the most expensive

metals in the entire world.

Alcoa, the Aluminum Company
of America,

made a new way
to make aluminum,

and it made it a whole lot
cheaper than steel.

So Alcoa, they were just gonna
get in the housewares market

and create a product
called Kromex.

It was a really good product.

It was something that
kind of revolutionized

the whole industry here,
but lasted only a few years.

They had the right idea.

I just don't think they had the
people to make it really work.

- Right.

- Was it still in the
original boxes or anything

like that when you got it?

I mean--because
it looks brand new.

- Yeah, it was.

- Don't you wish you
would have kept them?

- I really do.
[chuckles]

- So what are you trying
to get out of it?

- I'd like to get around $725?

- $725.

So I figured when people

and playing in the pool
and stuff like that,

trying to rope the plastic cow.

practiced roping on it?

- I haven't yet.

- Do you just call up
your old buddies

and be like, hey, guys,
wanna go rope

the fake calf in my backyard?

- [chuckles]

- Yeah.

He mostly works on concrete
or something solid

because he just spins
his wheels in the dirt.

- And Sparky III there--

- Sparky III,
he's also mechanical.

Runs off of a remote.

You rope the head,
you turn him off,

and the heeler comes
around and ropes the feet.

And you can do
practice runs on him.

- Okay.

- You absolutely can.
