GENEVIEVE: What I've surmised

from the fan voting

thus far is... the fans
want us to struggle.

The fans want chaos.

And struggling

I'm not looking forward to,
but I think that's

what the next 19 days
are gonna be all about.

So, I think this is gonna be

a very crazy season.

Joe seems like a guy I would

easily get along with,
connect with, bond with.

pitted against one another
on a challenge

that Coach bested me on.

One of the toughest pride pills

I've ever had to swallow.

In spite of that,
I never had issue with Coach.

He's a hell of a strong player.

I want to thank you.

Joe has magnificently

set the table for pillars

that I believe in:

And I initially wanted
to work with Colby

The last time
I playedSurvivor,

I was really aware
that I was not well liked.

The only reason that I'm just

seriously having
a breakdown is because

I just feel like
whenever I come out here,

people just don't like me.
[sniffles]

I have such a great life

that I'm like, "Why do I choose
to put myself into this?"

Like, in real life,

I don't react
to big things like this.

Two years ago,

I found out that I carry
the BRCA gene, which means

that I was 85% likely
to develop breast cancer,

25% likely
to develop ovarian cancer.

And eight weeks
after getting that call,

I was laying
on the operating table,

having my breasts, ovaries
and fallopian tubes removed.

Like, no part of those surgeries

ever got me down.

AUBRY:
The swap might be

-exactly what you need.

I hate that you're meeting me
and I'm crying, because

-I seriously don't cry
on Survivor,

and here I am
sitting here bawling.

Day seven of Survivor
has hit me like a brick.

But at a tribe swap,

everyone needs
to change up their game.

So perhaps this information
from Coach was

the perfect timing
for me to change up my game.

CIRIE: Welcome home, guys.

Okay. Let's go.

We have a spare bedroom
over there.

RIZO:

This place is nice.

KAMILLA: I was scared
when I saw that I got

swapped onto the beach
that had no flint

because I had been swapped
onto the losing tribe before,

and it was horrible.

This tribe swap is, like,
the complete opposite.

We actually have a shelter here.

They've managed
to get fire going, and they've

kept it going.

JONATHAN:
How'd y'all start it?

CIRIE:
With my glasses

So I'm kind of feeling like,

best friend looked me straight,

So, that is just
a constant reminder that

I got to follow that intuition.

I'm very wary

of taking out one of the
strongest members of our tribe

because it does open the door

for another Tribal Council
tomorrow.

The only thing is
I just get worried, then, that

Mike, Angelina and Christian--

-they're solid.
-I know.

I am kind of the critical
swing here, and I'm torn

between a couple of different
sides, because, on one hand,

I don't feel like
I actually have any strong,

particular loyalty to Angelina.

And while I feel like
maybe I'm leaning towards

maybe voting out Q...

Oh, man, are you giving me
the Q skirt look?

There it is.

...what am I thinking
doing that?

Why does my gut instinct
tell me that?

And why do I keep ending up
at Tribal Council?

Maybe I should try
not to listen to my gut

or my head or whatever it is
that I've been listening to.

And maybe if I just do
what everybody else tells me,

life would be simpler.

If this is your first time
at Tribal, grab a torch,

dip it in and get fire.

This is part of the ritual
at Tribal Council,

because in this game,

fire represents your life,

and when your fire's gone,
so are you.

And that will be the case
for one of you tonight.

All right.
So, Steph, I'm curious

how much impact has the idea

of the fans deciding
and it truly being so uncertain

had on the game so far?

Nobody likes uncertainty,

and there's already
so much of it in this game.

So, this time around

is actually my hardest.

And every time I've played,
it's gotten harder,

-Yeah.
-and it's starting to set in.

Like, the hunger pains,

it's emotionally draining,
it's physically taxing.

Like, you forget all that

when you're at home
watching on the couch.

Whole different thing
when you're at home

watching
with a big bag of chips.

-Literally.
-Enjoy those chips.

Angelina, big part of playing

a second or third or fourth time
on Survivoris

you have to decide "am I
going to bring that same game

or am I going to bury that game
and birth a new game?"

ANGELINA:
Yes, it's definitely something

for me that
I thought about a lot.

You know, it's like,
I'm a different person.

I've had these life experiences

that have grown my capacity

in every single way.

And so I'm back as myself now,

not the Angelina
that was last time.

Of course,
there's still elements of her.

I'm still fun.

But it's been really awesome

and full circle to come back
and try it again this time.

PROBST:
So, Mike, when you
hear this idea of

coming out to play a different
version, is that even possible?

Or are we, at our core,
always going to

play the same kind of game,

'cause it's who we are?

You know...
Like, right now,

I'm having a low.
Like, just hungry

and, like, kind of miserable.

And I'm like,
"Why am I back here?

"Like, what is the itch that
I'm trying to scratch here?

Like, am I crazy?"

But then I realized
that the highs

are because of the lows.

It's all a package.
I didn't come back here

for sitting in the mud
and being miserable.

But you realize

that part of it
is why you feel so great

when you get an English muffin.
You know what I mean?

And so that's very difficult
to approximate that

in my life, you know?

CHRISTIAN:
I'm sorry to interrupt,
but, like,

you're talking about life.

And even here,

everyone's gonna have
this death in this game

and then rebirth.

Whoever comes through at the end
and wins this

is gonna have that fall.

Not to step on your metaphor,

This is what I hoped for
with Survivor 50.

Fun, layered conversation,

good-natured banter,

even at Tribal,
where death is about to happen

-for somebody in this game.
-All right. Yeah. Yeah.
-Dead.

But one thing
that's consistent, Ozzy,

this season:
we still have challenges.

You, remarkably, are winless.

This is not a world
that you're used to.

Is that not fair, Angelina?

-No, it's just, I didn't...
-STEPHENIE: I didn't
realize, yeah.

-I didn't put it together.
-PROBST: Yeah.

Ozzy's been to every Tribal.

-It ain't his fault.
-OZZY: But not only

have I been to every Tribal,

but I've been
to a fight for supplies.

I've lost there.

So, I am hoping that we're gonna

flush out the losing
out of our system eventually,

and we're gonna
be on to greener pastures.

PROBST:
So, Q, big stakes.

How would you describe
this afternoon?

Ultimately, this Tribal here
is a test for this group

so we don't end up
here again tomorrow.

And somebody's gonna fail
and somebody's gonna pass.

But in season 50,
that also makes it difficult

because we respect each other
enough to say

it's part of playing the game.

You cannot win this game
without coming to this place.

So, fill in your bubble sheet,

take your vote,

and hopefully, you pass.

part of the fun of Survivor

There's got to be a little bit
of fun and celebration

happening inside, even if
you don't want to show it

out of respect for the person

who's getting
their torch snuffed.

Yeah, there definitely is.
I will say,

I learned the hard way
through my previous season

that the impacts
that you have on people

and their feelings here--
they're real.

You can't make them disappear

with a hug and a "good game."

That being said,
every single person out here

actively signed up
to come to a game

where they were
going to be lied to

and backstabbed and ultimately
have their torch snuffed.

But at the same time,

you don't need to be
a sore winner

if you're still sitting here
at the end of the night,

because ultimately,
we can all sympathize,

'cause we're all likely
going to be in that position.

PROBST:
