I got stationed for a second phase of
training in Biloxi, Mississippi.

And towards the end of that, met her, I
think, about a month and a week before I

moved duty stations all the way to
Texas.

And that's all it took.

He was a student. I was not supposed to
date him, so I had to.

Forbidden fruit. She did not follow the
rules, nor did I. And we had these

really cheap dates.

Our favorite date was going to Denny's,
coffee's cheap, and we would literally

sit there and talk for like three, four
hours.

Our first date was a month before I
left. A few weeks later, proposed to

funny is both of us have always been

females will keep that to themselves. I
mean, sex to me and to him, it was

always amazing. That's part of why we
bonded and were soulmates instantly.

I always laugh. He gets the credit. He
was the first person to find my internal

First time. First time we had sex. I'm
like, okay. She was like, what just

happened? What was that? I was like,

So with us, we were not necessarily like

have to fly you out of the state because
we have no space for you.

And this was a hospital I used to work
at. Went home, had literally the best

nurse on the planet take care of me. I
was like, he's not dying on my watch.

you'll do this. But once I got to more
of the recovery phase, I was just...

I had a lot of time to sit there and
think. Think about my life. Think about

precious it is and to literally sit
there and feel it ebbing away.

And honestly, I tell people to this day,
if I could give every single person

what I experienced for those two weeks,
it would change their life.

They wouldn't look at each day as just
being the worst day ever. In that

process, I looked at what I wanted for
us to be as a couple going forward.

And you think, wow, you're recovering
from a near -death experience.

How do you make the leap to the
lifestyle?

I did not want her to get stuck in the
rut, but that she could be her wild and

crazy self, the person I met when she
was 22, and reincorporate that

wild and craziness back into our lives.

And I don't think I necessarily set out
to get us into the lifestyle.

It was more to be around people that had
a very carefree attitude, less

judgmental, live their life the way they
wanted to live their life and didn't

give a care about what society said.

You know, once he got out of bed and we
realized he was going to make it, he's

like, I want to start going to like an
adult party, like adult parties or

something along those lines.

They're fantastic.

So for the first thing that got us into
lifestyle was an adults -only

Halloween party at a lifestyle community
slash club

in Florida. I'd done my research on...

people in the lifestyle, and they just
sound like an awesome, fun group.

So we're getting ready for this
Halloween party. I know what the theme

pick out everything for her.

It's this skin -tight...

It was head -to -toe spandex. Yeah. So
she sees this. She's like, okay, I can

that. And I said, well, it's probably
going to be hot in the club, so I got

something to wear underneath it. And
she's like, what? Rolls the eyes.

And it was a little alien bikini with
little green alien faces all over it.

And so I saved the last part of the
outfit for the night of because I knew

was going to have a freak -out moment,
and I was spot on.

So first she's like, I will never dance
around in a club.

in a bikini that's ridiculous.

And I think it took an hour in the club
before she was hot in the head -to -toe

spandex and was in the bikini and
dancing.

But right before we left to go to the
party, I popped out the last piece,

were two alien light -up pasties.

And she kind of freaked out. I never
went pasty. Oh, my God. Why would you

me those? Why would you waste your
money? I'm never going to wear those.

somehow, when in Rome, it was another
half hour before she was walking around

pasties and bikini bottoms and having
the time of her life. So she took to it

like a fish to water.

I had no idea that I would respond that
way. And we did nothing lifestyle that

night. But we actually met a couple, one
of the women that she was making out

with. The husband approached me and gave
me the number, and then, oh, my God, we

both, we crack up to this day. We were
such newbies.

But we were like, he gave me a number,
and he put his contact information in.

make her explain that, not for me, but

Why do you view that as okay and this as
not?

And so then all of a sudden it dawned on
her, it's like, well, if you're okay

with it, we define the rules, then we
can move ahead.

We started a lifestyle Facebook.

And this one immediately starts getting
inbox messages.

And a 24 -year -old guy had reached out
to her.

To send out of the Marines.

Yeah. Yeah. And so she comes to me and
says, I think I want this one.

And so he's got a girlfriend. The
girlfriend is married. The husband also

girlfriend. And so our minds are just
swimming like there is so much more to

this than we even thought possible.

Your brain almost can't process it.

Like, wait, she has a husband and a
girlfriend?

Complexities just grow and grow and
grow, but not in a bad way either. And

went to a...

different lifestyle club that was closer
to us and to meet them. And she's

telling us like, yeah, he and I are

I was just surprised at how easy it was
for me and for me to know that we were

letters and things have been broken off.

buddy take care of your wife while
you're gone and know that she's in good

hands. And then when he leaves, then he
takes care of you. Yeah. I mean, it just

becomes like this very community -based,
you know, situation where...

They're supporting her more than, you
know, just in words, but in actions and,

you know, physical needs. The military
definitely is that avenue

that I truly believe it started from.

And I could see how, looking back on our
time in the service, that there

were probably more people than we could
even imagine that were a part of that

community as well.

I think I was so jealous. I would not
have been okay with it.

I think you would have been okay with it
before I would have been. Yeah, as far

as me setting up that hot wife situation

for me, I think at that point in time, I

on it now and say that
