fame over there I don't think they're

so conservative.

We get some of the most artistically
adventurous properties come from

You know, on Broadway, I mean, we got
Cats coming in. We did Evita. I mean,

know, Nicholas Nickleby was incredible.

I think you all are, you know, you have
a lot of protocol, but I think you've

got a lot of passion underneath all of
that.

I get more mail from England than I do
anywhere else.

And what do they express in those
letters? What do they say? Come over.

And almost every letter, they tell me, I
can't wait until you get to London.

It's like they knew I was coming to

because they just feel it's very

Gimple. And I was also born in New York

City. And I went to the real school for
the performing arts, which is also in

New York. And I really learned a very
valuable lesson there. I mean, it's

believing in yourself.

I mean, it's so incredible to me because
we live in a time where there are so

many designer jeans that try and make us
the same and jackets that try and make

us the same.

But it's all within yourself. It's what
you carry in your heart that makes you

different from everybody else. I mean,
it's being your own individual, which is

I did a lot of work on television,
musical variety specials, movies for TV,

feature film called Ragtime.

But my heart has always been in the
theater.

And also in the theater, you get to
create so many wonderful characters and

Now, Miss Daisy used to like to smoke
cigarettes and cuss like a

sailor and throw bricks. She was a slut.
