heading to the town of carax to sell

their old

Camaro Billy and John were driving from

White Horse the two of them were

traveling in a convoy it's a very remote

area it's very slippery it's winter time

you're quiet tonight yeah I'm just a

little bit tired I'm

sorry same night same stretch of road 16

km behind a young family drives home

after a weekend

away the couple didn't want their real

names known so we're going to call them

the

Browns they were returning from a

weekend in White Horse and they were

going back to the Village of P

Crossing I wish we had gotten on the

road just a little bit sooner they

talked to them several times and they

never changed their story so dark

they come to the southern tip of the

lake and they come around a corner and

they see this row lights out in the

distance there were no towns or villages

in that area didn't seem to be any

reason for those lights to be there and

yet there they

were and then they think what's a truck

there's no Road out there it's in the

middle of

Lake what is it

I have no

idea

plane they think it's an

airplane like a 747 then they think oh

it's moving way too

slowly they were worried as to what this

was and they had thought well maybe we

shouldn't travel any further maybe we

should pull off to the side of the road

just stop

stop it's okay we won't be long

they were fairly certain that these

lights were all on one large

object there's nothing else that they've

experienced that resembled

the mysterious object shoots

off directly towards Billy and John

Smith Hey cuz you still awake back

there they have no idea what's around

the corner

this was something very out of the

ordinary on the Klondike Highway an hour

from the nearest town what is

it I have no idea the Brown family sees

a mysterious

object and on the other side of Fox

Lake Hey cuz a weight back

there Billy and John Smith are about to

drive right into it Billy is driving in

front of John you a

truck Billy comes down a

curve at that point he sees this huge

row lights out over the

lake he decides to stop and watch this

thing

to Billy it seemed like it came right

over to him as if it knew he was

there he looks behind him and sees his

cousin

John John didn't want to come closer he

sto way further back he doesn't know

what to do cuz he was

frightened Billy was in awe as this

thing passed

overhead the witnesses mentioned the

size of a football stadium which is

which is immense it's

unreal some UFO investigators describe

huge craft as motherships sort of an

aircraft carrier for spaceships that uh

smaller craft can fly in and out

of John realizes so he's got a camera in

the

car and he's ripping bags over

often you hear from people saying well I

don't believe in UFOs until I see a

photograph he couldn't get his camera to

work

properly in some of the close encounter

cases of cameras are affected by some

kind of electromagnetic

field Billy's looking at this sink and

just a sheer size of it it takes such a

long time for it to move over it takes

several

minutes and then the the UFO continues

to move very slowly over the hill and

then

disappears let's go

so they go to the turnoff which is a few

hundred meters down and they pull over

there at the foxl

campground they were very confused

wondering if we're not hallucinating

this was something real and we saw it

the Browns arrived at the Fox Lake

Campground and they see Billy and

John hey are you guys

okay yeah and there's this exchange of

information from everybody saying did

you see that did you did you see

something you too

this is unquestionably one of the best

cases in North America if two people see

a UFO or three or four that adds to the

uh to the evidence that something really

was physically there just happened we

have witnesses who have seen it at

relatively close range and multiple

Witnesses who can verify that they saw a

physical

object hey not sure of what lies ahead

they decide to travel together

they would not be alone in seeing

something strange that night similar

reports of a large craft were later

observed an hour away in the town of

carax and 2 hours away in the village of

P Crossing in total more than 30

Witnesses came forward with similar

accounts drawings submitted by

eyewitnesses suggest the object was four

times the size of a football stadium

making it the largest craft ever

registered in a UFO report

some people thought the object was an

Airship but airships rarely fly in

Winter

conditions a detailed report on the Fox

Lake case was filed with the Canadian

government there has been no official

response secure the

site are we under attack

it's the late

1960s with 200 missiles malstrom Air

Force Base is the largest nuclear weapon

complex in the

world it's also one of the most heavily

guarded got a light at the Oscar flight

unit the focus for the high security is

the 10-minute man missiles aimed

directly at

Russia Oscar flight was one of many

operations that were under the facility

of the Malmstrom Air Force Base

each flight had a capability of

launching 10 minute man ballistic

missiles uh minute man is a ballistic

missile capable of reaching from the

United States into the Soviet

Union when you're looking at 1967 we're

in the middle of the Cold War and

there's an awful lot of animosity

between the Soviet Union and the United

States and we're both worried about how

belligerent the other side is going to

be he's seeing an orange like object

near the launch facility gate it's

clearly not the moon it's clearly not a

meteor it's clearly not an aircraft it's

something Beast unfamiliar with

I see two I'm ping

down the lunch control facility was

somewhere around 60 to 65 ft below the

surface of the of the ground the

strategy was to bury this Lune control

facility underground so it would survive

an atomic

blast Lieutenant

Salas Robert Salas is the key witness on

the melstrom case and I have interviewed

him a numerous times about it

unidentified moving North sir keep

watching let me know if they get any

closer copy

that Robert S didn't know what to make

of this call I mean he was somewhat

incredulous about

it there is no threat on the console

that they see it's just a light in the

sky it's not causing any kind of problem

so he doesn't know what the concern of

the above him

are but within minutes it moves directly

over the

base Lieutenant Salis sir it's right

over us Salis also notifies his Superior

Captain Fred mewald secure the site I'll

phone the command post and he's getting

quite concerned about it because it's

coming closer to penetrating the the

facility St posted

sir it's been a strange sighting near

the gate during the Cold War it's a very

very big issue for something like that

to

happen

sir sir missiles 1 and two are down at

this point Solus sees the missiles start

going offline you have these missiles

ready for launch and they're suddenly

gone 1 through 7 or no

go one by one they just all lost their

capacity to launch at the same time that

the object was up above and being seen

by these security

people Captain myal dispatches military

guards to check on the 10 Oscar flight

missiles

the missiles themselves were scattered

out around the countryside in Montana 20

mi away from the launch control facility

these missiles were 60 ft underground

they were way way underground and they

were a mile apart from each

other if you got a direct hit on a

missile silo you might take out that one

missile but you wouldn't take out the

other nine missiles for them all to go

offline is just practically unheard of

it just does not happen could this

possibly have been the Russian that

disabled their nuclear weapons

sir are we

under they're confronted with something

that they're not trained

for a strange sighting near the

gate a strange light moves over a

Montana Air Force Base and knocks out 10

nuclear missiles 1 through 7 or no go

military guards rushed to the missile

site in search of answers it was pretty

clear that there was no technology that

we knew of that could do that if the

Soviets have figured out some way to

deactivate the missiles then suddenly we

become very very vulnerable to an

attack their initial response was of

course to try to get them up and working

again

you're confronted with something beyond

what you've been taught something beyond

what you can

expect the entire Oscar flight system

shuts

down the object is last seen headed

towards the Oscar flight missile site 30

km

away they're out on the silos they take

a look around there's no evidence of a

penetration there's no evidence of

anybody being out

there sir no signs of any damage should

we head back to base

over the radios that they're using now

are filled static the radios become

inoperable

themselves turn it

off I can't Airman be

alert

unidentified in your action I

repeat we have many cases of UFO events

in which equipment is affected like this

it's called an electromagnetic effect as

an electrical device whatever it happens

to be approaches the UFO that electrical

system is somehow suppressed

they're confronted with something that

they're not trained

for and they can't do anything about it

back at launch control their system is

still shut

down Silas and my were not able to get

the nuclear weapons back up and running

and they couldn't explain why they

weren't

working an hour later the Airmen

returned to launch control

they seen something crazy one of the

guards was so upset by what he had seen

he refused to work on the security

details from that point on because he

was so frightened by what he had seen

and what he had experienced on that

night the high security incident leads

to a massive

investigation Lieutenant Salis later

claims the Air Force ordered him to sign

documents forbidding him to ever speak

of the strange

[Music]

events Salis reports that the missiles

were later brought back

online but government files indicate no

equipment failure that night at

[Music]

malstrom classified documents obtained

through the Freedom of Information Act

reveal that FAA radar data did in fact

spot an unidentified craft flying over

the base that night because because

Salis never actually saw the object UFO

debunkers continue to question his

credibility the incident at melstrom Air

Force Base has never been officially

explained a million UFO sightings are

reported each

year most can be

debunked but 5% remain

unexplained these are the close

encounter

out in a small village 50 km from

Pittsburgh locals report a ball of fire

streaking across the sky and falling

into a nearby

Forest not far from the home of

machinist and volunteer firefighter Jim

romansky you spent over 47 years that

I've been gathering information on the

kper case over the years I've

interviewed hundreds of people they were

either directly involved in the case or

had other information concerning the

event I personally interviewed Jim

romansky who was one of the primary

Witnesses involved in this

case we interrupt this program for a

special ktk News Bulletin Witnesses

describe a large burning object falling

from the sky and landing in a wooded

area in West Morland

County authorities fear the object May

in fact be a passenger

airplane damn

this is Jim Jim ransky was from a

volunteer fire department outside of

kbur several miles away I'm on my

way his unit was activated to assist in

the search of a possible down aircraft

in the cburg area

[Music]

I've spoken to Jim romansky a number of

times and talk to him in great detail

about what he saw what's important about

the kbur case I think one of the most

important aspects is the number of

witnesses there's such a clear picture

of what happened okay guys we don't have

a lot of time here bill I want you and

your boys to check out this section here

and romansky I want you and your guys to

check out this section right here got

that okay let's go

the firefighters were called in quickly

because something had crashed in those

woods maybe they needed to rescue people

they they needed to get

in it's an emergency situation in that

small farming Community it's something

they've never ever seen before all right

let's spread

out you're here

this was a very thickly wooded area and

it was not easily accessible it was a

very very good location for something to

be hidden and not easily

seen romansky and a fellow First

Responders split off from the group and

head into a

ravine they had to get into the middle

of the woods and it was even in sort of

a

[Music]

gully they're looking down and here's

this thing just several feet away that's

partially buried in the ground what is

that I don't

[Music]

know he knew immediately it was not an

airplane so what was it and how did it

get there as Jim explained to me he felt

that a a full-sized human being could

easily move around the side of that

object romansky moves in to search for

signs of

life this was something extremely

unusual

[Music]

volunteer firefighter Jim romansky is

part of a search team looking for a

possible down plane in the woods near

kbur

Pennsylvania what is that I don't know

but that's not what he

finds Jim says that they're staring at

this object they realize this is

something highly unusual they realize

this is not a meteorite and this is

unlike anything that they had ever seen

before Jim has been a machinist all his

life

and when he looked at this object he

described he said the best way to

describe what he saw was that I looked

like somebody took liquid metal and put

into an acorn-shaped

mold as a first responder romansky

remains focused on finding

survivors but survivors from what he

said there were no rivets no seams no

doors no windows there's no weld marks

no fuselodge no wings there's no way he

can see any W for somebody to get in and

out of whatever this thing is

there was dirt and debris around the

object itself but he got a pretty good

estimate of the size he figured it was

probably about 10 to 12 ft or more in

length approxim about 8 to 10 ft in

diameter along the cted bottom of the

acorn shape there were these what he

called hieroglyphics some kind of

symbols on the

craft I remember Jim telling me he was

so fascinated with the symbols on the

object and they were clearly defined he

remember for example stars and broken

lines and

circles because of ethnic background he

was somewhat familiar with Russian

writing and he said that's positively

not what it

was the fact that it was during the Cold

War of course made people uh

particularly sensitive to security

issues gentlemen get back to your

vehicles immediately and leave the area

this area is under strict quarantine

down through the woods comes these turnl

looking men at trench coats when they

tell him you got to leave the area right

away and right behind them coming down

through the woods Are Soldiers secure

the perimeter he was stunned by this he

didn't know who they were he didn't know

why they were there he' never seen

people like that before in kbur and the

woods they meant business get those

civilians out of here into your vehicle

to leave the area Jim the other firemen

just followed the orders because here's

somebody and appar official capacity

told him that they had to leave the

area what Jim told me was he immediately

knew that this was something serious

when that happened he just left the area

and went back to the fire

station when romansky arrives at the

volunteer fire station he finds it's

been taken over by Outsiders in

uniform Jim recalled seeing military

personnel and and Equipment all around

that fire station using it like as a

temporary command

post no entry at this time sir I just

need to go to the

bathroom basically he's asking that he

like to go inside and use the restroom

and the the soldiers there told him that

he couldn't go in then he would have to

go use the woods

Jim recalls seeing a large military

truck and it's escorted by other

military

vehicles the truck is carrying some kind

of heavy cargo concealed beneath a

tarp as Jim was watching this and he's

looking at the general shape of the

object on the back of the truck and

approximate height he said that looks

very close to what he saw laying there

in the woods so he tied two and two

together that this very likely was that

same

object he never forgot what he saw he to

this day wants to know what it was and

feels he has a right to know I think the

ultimate dream is that we would hope

that the government would finally open

up to the public and let them know the

truth about what really happened that

night 1965 because there so many people

were involved and they'd love to have

closure on this case whatever the

government may know they keep Jim

romansky and more than one 100 other

Witnesses in the

dark the search for answers continues to

this day immediately following the

incident the US Air Force denies that

anything came down that night in the

kbur

woods examining data from the US space

command and the Russian space agency

investigators discover a Soviet

satellite Cosmos 96 had reentered the

Earth's atmosphere that

night but some as romor continue to

believe the object may have been a

meteorite consisting of iron

compounds in 2007 hundreds of government

files are made public confirming the

presence of military personnel in kbur

that night but investigators believe the

government has yet to reveal all they

center is calling for another clear

night another great chance to catch a

glimpse of the Comet Tail buff Jen yep

keep an eye for a small bright light

with a long tail I heard it's going to

be Northwest don't miss

it on a clear night in this desert city

Tim leay and his son look for the latest

sign of the Comet hail Bop an

astronomical event that has been

lighting up the night skies for

months how's the Hell Bop tonight the

same I review this case in extreme

detail the hail Bop Comet was visible in

the night sky and many people were in

fact out to observe it this case is

unique because we have not only hundreds

but potentially thousands of

eyewitnesses on the other side of

Phoenix trig Johnson and his family

aren't looking for the comet they're

taking advantage of the cool evening air

to do some yard

work I've personally interviewed a

number of the witnesses both those who

have been out in public and those who

choose to remain

silent hey what is

that hey

Dad look up

there that's not the hail BFF is

it despite the fact that hail Bop Comet

was in the sky on that particular night

over Phoenix this in no way could have

explained the formation of Lights which

many witnesses said blocked out the

stars as it flew overhead trick Johnson

was a commercial airline pilot and was

really familiar with things in the sky

and things that flew so his experience

and his observational skills make him an

important witness and his first reaction

was that he was seeing some airplanes in

formation

that what the hell is that it's when

hell of an air show it appeared as if it

was some type of v formation of

Lights he thought that possibly this was

a five ship of C130 Hercules transports

with some sort of giant lights on the

front it's hard to put oneself in the

mind and the shoes of someone like trick

Johnson who upon first observation makes

an assumption about what he's looking at

and makes a best guess decides oh I can

map this onto existing technology but as

it got closer the size and scope of the

lights convinced him that this was not

conventional aircraft the way it turns

so precise this Set of Lights didn't

Flinch waiver move or anything in rate

speed or altitude that's unnatural in

and of

itself the lights then started moving

toward them

they then observed that these lights

were not independent and were in fact

embedded into a large

craft Trigg said I could land my

commercial airliner on the top of this

thing whatever it was so he's talking

about something unbelievably big in

spite of their initial fear I think we

should go they don't move a

muscle what Witnesses have told me

including trick Johnson was I did not

want to take my eyes off this object

they were TR

fix throughout that entire period we had

hundreds if not thousands of

eyewitnesses witnesses like Tim Le and

his son who've been tracking the comet

hail Bob all

evening Tim and his son Hal were out

driving around and they had just

returned to the house

what is

it the first time they saw the lights

appeared to be in a row and they were

coming again from the Northwest why

don't you go get your mom

[Music]

what is

that I thought maybe helicopters but

maybe

not this series of Lights actually moved

in their Direction and they were able to

gain a better appreciation of this

v-shaped

craft oh my God

it got exceedingly

low hey Dad look up there in Phoenix

Arizona the Johnson family is mesmerized

by what appears to be a v-shaped

craft and across town the L family were

looking for the comet Hil Bop but they

found something else oh my

God Tim lay and his family observed this

large object as it moved overhead he

observed what looked like recessed

lights in the underside of this object

and then a object expands out into

something that was 1,500 ft to where the

far end of it you can't see on the other

side of the Little

Valley as the object comes closer it

appears to transform

they described that it was as though

they were looking at the stars being

projected on the underside of the object

this has been alluded to in military

circles as Starfield camouflage there's

an object known as the stealth blimp and

other objects that are reportedly

designed to project the stars above

beneath the object if the object has the

ability to change its shape or its

perceived shape is that the same object

if somebody else described it

differently it's very important to

understand that there could be as many

as six possibly 12 different very large

black objects floating around the

airspace in Arizona on that night

whatever these objects are they're not

doing aerodynamics they're not

deflecting air down and they're not

using any kind of conventional

propulsion system or we'd hear a lot

more noise Tim Lee's definition of this

process was it was deafening silence

suddenly the object descends and picks

up

speed it got exceedingly low it was

really going right over their

heads from the Johnson's point of view

the object doesn't get closer it seems

to be sending a transmission

trick Johnson and his family felt there

was a communication given to them

personally by whatever intelligence if

we want to call it that was in the

object something that we might want to

call telepathy was employed to

communicate with the

witnesses what was delivered to them was

don't worry this is just a

demonstration what the meaning of that

is and who would be in a position to

project that into the minds of an

observer and and why they were giving a

demonstration is one of the issues we

need to solve with this

case after nearly 30 minutes the object

appears to move

away

look let's leave it the object traversed

the greater Phoenix Arizona area moving

from the Northwest to the southeast

Flight the large size of this object and

the unusual propulsion system we're

forced to conclude that we're dealing

with a genuine

craft disappears

the same night several witnesses capture

video images of hovering

lights these come to be known as the

Phoenix

Lights Phoenix City Council launches an

investigation over 600 Witnesses come

forward saying they saw a

UFO an Airman from nearby Luke Air Force

Base claims that Two fighter planes were

scrambled and intercepted a flying

object that night

Air Force officials deny this occurred

and announce that illumination flares

were launched at a firing range the

night of the

in which he presents an aid disguised as

an alien but 10 years later he admits

that he too witnessed a craft of Unknown

home they'd forgotten that it was the

holidays there were no bigo places open

they tried two neither one was open that

night and they gave up eventually and

decided they were going to drive

home they were in What's called the piny

woods area of Texas and it wasn't well

populated they were driving on

essentially a County Road are you sure

you know where you're going hun of

course I do

grandma grandma what's

that I don't know honey as they were

driving um they see something bright in

the distance low to the ground uh

through the Treetops that is hard to

distinguish you know what this is it's

all they know is it's very

bright it's a plane coming

they thought maybe this is just some

ordinary aircraft that's approaching on

a particularly strange flight path or

perhaps taking a pass over the

countryside Houston inter conel airport

uh was down south of them by maybe 30 or

35 miles and there were some military

and other facilities you know relatively

nearby they drive for more than an hour

along a dark road but the object never

leaves their

sight Betty that ain't no plane as they

drove even closer they saw this was

definitely not an aircraft it was a

diamond shape of some sort hovering just

above the

road stop

the more unusual is what was coming out

of it these lightning bolts that seem to

radiate

they may have been only 100 to 150 ft

from it at that point she thought about

turning

around come on Benny let's go I'm trying

I'm trying it won't start they thought

that perhaps the the lightning was

somehow interfering with the electrical

system in the car cuz it seemed to be

failing the cash landr signing is is one

where the witnesses wanted to flee and

they couldn't flee because they were

stuck on this narrow road and the UFO

wasn't going away and they were in a

stalemate come on whatever the cause the

engine is dead and the three passengers

are going

nowhere they were in fear for their

lives on a dark Country Road in Texas

Betty cash Vicky landro and her grandson

kby encounter a mysterious diamond

shaped

object and it appears to stop their car

it won't St this is actually quite

common in uh some of the close encounter

cases in UFO literature where there

seems to be vehicle interference caused

by Electrical uh Fields perhaps from

some kind of magnetic fields cars and

trucks and and other vehicles are

affected by the presence of a

UFO in some cases Witnesses feel that

they themselves were picked out of a

crowd or selected for whatever reason

wait a minute

BTY wait a minute like many people in

Texas then and now uh Vicky Landrum was

a very religiously very devout

Christian maybe it's

okay you think it's safe who

is that you this was so dramatic that uh

she thought that this might have been

Jesus's second

[Music]

coming as the three Witnesses gaze at

the shape above them the temperature

seems to rise there is some heat coming

off of The Craft perhaps there was some

microwave radiation coming off of this

particular vehicle that was causing

everything in the uh surrounding area to

be uh increasing in

temperature it continues to get hotter

and hotter Vicki runs back to the car

and when she tries to touch the door

handle it open the car

door it's too hot oh look

gety she realized it wasn't Jesus know

she thought it was something else

whatever that something else was it

wasn't

God Betty finally decides that i' I've

got to get back in the car

myself it's so hot in here the

temperature inside the vehicle was

almost like an

oven suddenly it had a roaring flame

coming out the bottom

um that was directed toward the ground

and that wasn't

constant the craft rose into the air

still with this flame and began to

slowly move away into the

distance as the cow leaves the area the

car's engine comes back to

life when Ricky pressed her hand on the

dashboard she had to pull it away

because it was very very hot it burned

her hand and it did in fact leave a mark

suggesting that the vinyl was scorching

hot gosh they're coming

back when this object left the witnesses

described seeing up to a few dozen

fairly large vehicles uh flying with it

perhaps escorting it somewhere there so

many of them they were more helicopter

like than anything else they seem to be

flying along with the UFO as it went

into the distance as if they were

shepherding it as if they were you know

part of a whole um Entourage as it were

flying away was a military operation

perhaps a secret operation uh something

that was classified and yet was

accidentally seen by these three

Witnesses in a rural part of Texas has

there been uh any sign of a device like

this that the US government has

developed the answer is no there's no

diamond shaped craft like this why

should we think that this was a a secret

government test vehicle then I don't

know what's going on Betty just get us

out of

here the three Witnesses head for home

as fast as they can

but the experience leaves a lasting

Effect 4 days after the incident Betty

cash is hospitalized with second degree

burns severe nausea and hair

loss Vicki and kobby Landrum report

similar health problems leading some

experts to believe they'd been exposed

to

radiation investigators examin the

dashboard imprint for vinyl to melt the

temperature inside the car would need to

reach 200° f

the large object's apparent fire burning

engine suggests it could have been a

rocket jet aircraft or hot air

balloon the witnesses later claim the

smaller Vehicles were military

helicopters but the US Air Force

officially denies they had any aircraft

in the area that

night he looked up and saw two

disc-shaped objects big over he was

wondering what in Heaven's name could

this

deposits Stephan mikac is out for do

some courtz prospecting CU that often

times is associated with

silver I guess you he was out to make a

little bit of money so he sets out to

see what he can find

I spoke with Stephan mlock on a number

of occasions about this

case he had been an intelligence officer

in the Polish Army and he was in the

military in Europe for some time and he

immigrated to Canada with his family he

was not the type of person to make up

stories

[Music]

molu told me that it was a a typical

spring day very crisp and it was

sunny and

suddenly birds were flapping their wings

they were honking and very very

agitated he thought maybe there was a

bear in the area because there had been

some bear sightings previously

but over the next 2 hours he sees no

clear signs of any

danger he reaches his prospecting site

and gears up for the

[Music]

job he needed some protection while he

was chipping at rocks he has some

rubberized gloves to protect his hands

while he's working he has some welders

goggles

he looked up and saw two disc-shaped

objects some distance up in the

sky but

then one of the crafts flew

away and one of them starts descending

this object was about 150 ft away from

[Music]

him mikla quickly realized that this was

something out of the ordinary but he

wanted to get a better

look this was something that was clearly

clearly a craft of some

[Music]

kind he was wondering what in Heaven's

name could this

be he was very very dizzy he felt very

very disoriented

Stephan mikac goes into the woods to

find precious

rocks but discovers something much more

rare the object appeared to be of the

order of about 30 ft in diameter

for someone to see an object of this

kind at such a short distance in

daylight is rather

remarkable he at this point does not

seem to be terribly concerned about his

own

safety having been an intelligence

officer in the Polish military he had

seen some things that would have made

other people turn

pale he instinctively knew that as a

former military man that the probably

had a reasonable explanation perhaps

this was some sort of American secret

weapon that was perhaps broken

down hello he called out to whoever was

inside this craft Yankee boys come on

out I'll give you a hand fixing your

broken down flying

machine but there's no reply from inside

he thought perhaps this was not an

American craft at all maybe they're

Russian or from some other country and

since he was multilingual he called out

in a number of

languages but no reaction came from

inside this particular

craft he Taps into his military training

and decides to document every

detail he had this p had of paper with

him and he took it out to sketch the

object very few Witnesses would have the

presence of mind to actually do a

sketching all of a

sudden he uh sees a hatch door open and

it didn't open like a regular door it

seemed Iris open like a camera

lens he started hearing some voices

coming from the inside of the

object he couldn't quite make out what

the voices were saying and that probably

piqued his curiosity even further

the iris shut abruptly in front of

him the entire craft shifted some sort

of exhaust vent or grill was directly in

front of his body

the compass needle was spinning wildly

perhaps there was some sort of magnetic

residual effects from the object being

so close to

him the object took off off vertically

into the

sky miklu realized that he had to get

some help when he was describing to me

how he felt at the time he was saying

that he was very very dizzy he had a

headache he was

nauseous he was an intense pain in the

upper body

he had to go back to civilization but he

felt very very disoriented

oh my

God he is found to have second and third

degree burns on his upper chest the red

spots corresponded almost exactly with

the shape of the exhaust

vent this particular case would

certainly come into the realm of one of

the best in terms of its physical uh

evidence that it

offers KAC is taken to a

hospital his Burns cover a 20 cm wide

area of his

body he suffers from exhaustion severe

headaches and nausea all classic

symptoms of acute radiation

poisoning after concerns about Public

Safety are raised the Royal Canadian Air

Force begin to

investigate at the site they discover a

15 ft diameter circle of worn grass

where mikac claims he saw the object

further analysis reveals traces of

radiation inside the circle but nowhere

else in the

area when a radiologist later examines

melac and his clothing he finds no trace

of

radiation a forest ranger stationed at a

fire tower less than a kilometer away

reports seeing no sign of any craft that

day the strange marks on Stephan melac

abdomen continue to appear and disappear

right up until his death in

1999 a million UFO sightings are

reported each

year most can be

debunked but 5% remain

unexplained these are the close

encounters

truchi and His Japanese Airline crew

make their way towards Anchorage Alaska

to

refuel the 747 is only halfway to its

final

destination it was a flight from Paris

to Tokyo it was a freighter it was had a

shipment of wine on board aerd shipment

obviously in a

747 Captain tach was a very experienced

pilot he was an ex fighter pilot in the

Japanese Air Force many thousands of

hours of flying time

Captain truchi cruises at nearly 1,000

km an

hour the night is fairly clear no storms

in

sight but at precisely 5:11

p.m. something catches his

eye he looks out through his window and

he sees something that doesn't look

right

and the first thing he's thinking of is

it's something that shouldn't be

disappeared because Alaska is only 100

km from the Soviet Union the airspace is

under constant Patrol by US Air Force

jets

the object suddenly

reappears Captain truchi worries that it

will penetrate his airspace and possibly

trigger deadly

turbulence every airplane owns a block

of airspace 10 Mi long 5 Mi wide and at

this case 2,000 ft thick it's like a big

shoe box and if anybody gets inside or

too close to that box of airspace it

could suck the 740 7 into his uh wake

and quite literally tear a wing

off but the object disappears once

have another airliner in the

mix Captain toi Tri to pick it up on his

weather

radar he sees this Big Blob that's

moving toward him

it's coming after you you got to do

something to get out of the way save

yourself

us about 1

km J1 1628 can you identify the

aircraft he knows the the back of his

mind and nobody believes in UFOs so he's

trying to talk about what's there

without saying what's

there we cannot identify the type but we

can see the navigation

lights the controller calls the

Elmendorf US Air Force Base just outside

Anchorage the first thing that a

controller thinks is that the military

must be flying in the area no sir all

flights grounded since 1600 hours

and they say no they don't have anybody

up so it's not one of

theirs now all of a sudden the object

seem to have

disappeared the Japanese pilot was

questioning what it was doing

maybe they just turn their lights off

who

knows then as they near Fairbanks Alaska

captain truchi gets his first full look

at the craft that's been following

them this thing was immense it's four

times the size of an aircraft

carrier in his mind he said if that

craft gets too close to us it's going to

flip us over and we're going to

die it literally has to scare the crap

out of a

pilot he's worried about staying

alive the crew of JAL 1628 believe

they've spotted a strange object over

Alaska four times bigger than an

aircraft carrier

aircraft carrier is a city they can have

12,000 people on on aircraft carrier and

figure there's four of

them as the object hovers ever closer

the crew is forced to deal with

increasing

turbulence seeing something that huge

alongside of you you know it literally

has to scar the you know the the crap

out of a pile of request heading to for

Z Captain truchi decides to put some

space between them and the mysterious

object

head the pilot requested to change his

altitude and it's coming in broken jl1

1628 you're coming broken say

again the crew can't change their course

without approval from Air Traffic

Control

understood requesting flight level 31 0

descend at Pilot's

discretion the controller checked to see

if there's anybody else underneath them

and he says no you can go down to

31,000 but the damn thing stayed right

with them

uh he doesn't know what else he can

do he's worried about staying

alive the controller calls for an

unusual

maneuver J1 1628 I'm going to request

you make a right turn 360 degree turn

advise me what your traffic does he's

thinking that if this aircraft is

following him and that he makes a a big

circle that this guy will go on his way

and it won't bother him

anymore he takes probably five or six

minutes to make that complete turn all

the way around and then come back on

course again

n for the first time in over 20 minutes

the crew can finally

relax but seconds later the mysterious

craft is

back the thing followed them all the way

around turn J1 1628 primary target

behind you in trail in trail I say again

can you see

it as the object draws close the crew is

hit with more

turbulence the air traffic controller

has no way to identify the strange craft

in his

airspace A1 1628 I'm going to get you

out of this

he contacts an approaching airline to

help him investigate UA 69 heavy this is

Anchorage Center come in the controller

realized that there was somebody out

there they had the United 69 coming up

from the south so the controller says

can we deviate you a little bit we've

got a uh 747 up here that thinks he's

he's being followed by another aircraft

or something and the United said fine

for safety reasons the passenger plane

only pulls to within 20 km of the Jal

747 hold tight I've got someone coming

by U a69 heavy we got the Japan airliner

in sight but I don't see anybody around

him he couldn't report seeing the object

that toochi was

seeing J1 1628 can you see the crew of

JAL 1628 report that they too can no

longer see the

object 747 descends and uh lands nothing

else happened and uh he's probably happy

to be on the ground

if there was a primer around for uh UFO

reports for Pilots J would be ranking up

there as one of the

best on Landing John Callahan

immediately interviews the Jal

crew all three crew members provide

similar reports of what they saw that

report appears to be backed up by radar

data from the Elmendorf US Air Force

Space they confirm that a very large

craft was spotted that night near Jal

1628 but a group of UFO Skeptics later

issues a press release claiming the crew

saw Jupiter and

Mars another theory suggests that the

strange lights were reflections of

moonlight in clouds filled with

turbulent ice

crystals however all weather data for

that evening indicates a clear sky with

good visibility

Deputy Val Johnson heads out to Highway

220 in northern Minnesota in pursuit of

possible drug

traffickers the Val Johnson case has

lots of factors that that make it stand

out as a very distinctive event and a

distinctive event that says that

something unusual happened to to officer

Johnson dispatch 407 receive with

caution maintain radio contact dispatch

Roger The credibility of the witness is

very important Val Johnson was a police

officer when people come forward who are

uh solid citizens in the community that

adds some uh good evidence to suggest

there really was something there heading

west approaching Highway 220 now will

advise copy

that when he radioed to the station he

noted the time and the station officer

noted the time as well and that would

have been critical in trying to assess

what happened

next he was driving on one of the small

Backcountry roads and noticed a light

slightly over the trees some distance

away 407

dispatched listen Greg I've got a

possible aircraft low on the horizon

could be a sess dropping their cargo I'm

going to go check it

out copy that 407 Deputy Johnson only

has a few minutes before the Smugglers

drop their cargo and take off again he

accelerates to a high speed he thinks

about 65

mph and tries to get closer to this

thing what the hell is

that there was something odd about it

didn't have some of the flashing lights

associated with normal

aircraft that's not a thing in the Val

Johnson case everything seems to have

happened at once

and as he gets closer that's when

everything goes

haywired what started as a police

investigation is about to become

something altogether

different this light was definitely

destined for

him while patrolling the back roads of

northern Minnesota deputy sheriff Val

Johnson spots a strange light in the

sky and at this point he he could see it

wasn't a plane because it was this

bright very bright thing didn't have the

running lights like a plane and so he

was beginning to realize that this was

something unusual that he was

witnessing he was wondering what in

Heaven's name could this

be whatever Johnson is

chasing suddenly makes a sharp

turn the light comes right at

him he heard a a cracking sound and

that's the last he remembers

he was unconscious for several

minutes Val was very very confused and

and wondered exactly what had happened

to him he had no

idea his eyes were all fuzzy hard to

see he was suffering from welders

blindness as if he had looked at a very

very brilliant source of light

Johnson's ribs are badly bruised and he

has a

concussion he was wondering where did

that light go what am I doing

here how come the windshield is

I don't I don't know how to explain it

something hit my car his police Instinct

kicked in he immediately radioed for

help are you hurt

Deputy banged up a

little I'll

survive hang in there Deputy time is now

2:33 a.m. we're on our

way of all the peculiarities in the case

perhaps the most peculiar is is that not

just the dashboard clock which was

electronic was running 14 minutes

slow but Johnson's wind up wristwatch

was also running 14 minutes

slow some people have said that UFOs can

affect their environment with

electromagnetic fields or waves but we

don't know why both uh an electrical

system in a vehicle and a personal

wristwatch might have both been slow by

the same

amount it was just a matter of minutes

before other police officers arrived can

you describe the other vehicle it wasn't

a vehicle

Greg the object was gone the light was

gone whatever hit Val Johnson's car came

from nowhere and then disappeared this

certainly wasn't a simple hit and run

unless the it was a simple hit and run

by an unidentified flying

object police immediately began an

investigation into the

crash all evidence is carefully

analyzed the damaged police car is

examined by a team of

Engineers they conclude it was struck by

some kind of man-made

vehicle some investigators suggest that

Johnson may have collided with a stray

low-flying

airplane others theorized that the

vehicle could have been hit by

lightning but no explanation was ever

found found for why Johnson's car clock

and wristwatch were running 14 minutes

behind after the

incident the final accident report

concludes that Johnson's squad car

sustained damage from an unknown

origin a million UFO sightings are

reported each

year most can be

debunked but 5% remain

unexplained these are the close

12-year-old Terry peek and her

classmates are trying to improve their

soccer

skills good save Terry let's run it

again Terry peek was a student at westle

high school and on the morning of the

6th of April she was participating in a

physical education class out on the

sports ground at the high school

[Music]

what's

that suddenly the word got out that

there was something in the sky above

their heads and they looked up and saw

this unusually shaped object an object

that they'd never seen before it just

almost suddenly appeared out of

nowhere they were very used to seeing

light aircraft flying around westol and

it was something of that order about the

length of an airoplane but the shape was

nothing like an

airplane it looked like a classic flying

sorcer described often as a sorcer

joined together with another sorcer at

the

Rings given the manner in which it was

flying some of them weren't sure whether

it was actually going to land and if it

did come down what would happen then

what would come out of it

the westall case I've interviewed a

number of the witnesses it is a very

complex case but there's absolutely no

doubt that something occurred there

there were many many witnesses possibly

over 100 school students and a number of

the school teachers and also members of

the general public in the West Hall area

all witnessing different parts of this

sighting don't

move about 5 minutes after the flying

sorcerer is first cited above the school

the morning recess Bell goes and so then

the rest of the school comes

out children get back inside ins Mr brce

we got to get the children inside there

something in the field over there and

very quickly the word gets around that

there's something strange happening out

on the sports ground at that point

pandemonium kind of invaded the school

it's chaos as the kids are running

around trying to catch a glimpse to get

closer what's going

on one of the students comes out by the

name of Victor and Victor sees all of

these kids hanging off the western

boundary fence

and sure enough there over in the padic

is a flying sorcer shaped object

hovering just above the

ground everybody back from the fence

there's a teacher there and the

teacher's crying out to the kids don't

go over the fence come back stay where

you are back from the fence and Victor

says to himself well bugger that

isn't there was a real element all of

danger what's going to happen

that a group of Australian students

watch as a flying saucer like object

lands in the middle of their Melbourne

schoolyard and one student dares to take

a closer look

of all the witnesses that I've talked to

with regard to the West Hall case I

zeroed in on Victor he sighting was very

much uh a very close encounter took

Victor a very long time in fact it was

several years to confiding me that

story Victor get back

here back now he can still see and hear

all of the kids amassed on the fence and

can still hear the voice of the teacher

crying out to him to come away to keep

back to come back into the school but he

stays put and walks up

closer he was able to get a very good

look at what it was and to his amazement

it was seemingly made of metal but there

were no signs of rivets or screws or

nuts it was almost as if it was made of

one seamless piece of metal as if it had

been cast out of a

mold he doesn't have any memories of

doors or

hatches and he remembers there being a

red

glow Victor gets so close to the object

he can actually feel the heat radiating

off the body of the flying sorcer here

is a history of some of these close

encounter cases where people have

actually touched objects and had some

fairly severe injuries as a

consequence he was trying to touch it

but decided at the last

minute to draw

back he described it as rising up

rapidly and then stopping at a low

altitude as it rose up he felt no

displacement of energy or wind or air

pressure Victor doesn't remember any

sound of any substance at all coming

from the flying sorcerer it was

virtually if not completely

silent several meters away Terry peek is

still watching

Terry remembers very clearly that at

some point the flying sorer moves away

from the school and down to the Grove of

pine

trees the object appears to be headed

for a wooded area at the edge of the

school grounds known as the

gra all these students go straight to

the Grange

Terry discovers a girl apparently in

shock it was as if she had fainted and

was just recovering what

happened I don't

know Terry tried to find out what on

Earth she'd seen we don't know exactly

what happened to this student after that

it was reported that she was so badly

affected by what she had experienced

that when ambulance was called for her

they're moving

again she watches it lift off it then

turns into a vertical plane and then

flies off at Great Speed without making

any

sound there are people who suggest that

because a large number of the Witnesses

were children we can't necessarily

believe what they say they saw and I

don't necessarily prescribe to that in

this case the

children's evidence is very compelling

because there's such a high degree of

consistency certainly most of the

Witnesses were school students but also

teachers and local residents and workers

and the real Crux to this was that it

was not at night it was in broad

daylight there can be no doubt that they

saw something and really the the debate

comes down to what did they

see what is it that that occurred at

westall

I don't know was it a bifi alien UFO

event or was it some sort of clandestine

Military Intelligence operation

certainly behaved in ways that were way

beyond our contemporary technology if it

was operating By Us in some sort of

secret experiment back in 1966 where is

that technology

now Terry and Victor like dozens of

other witnesses will remember the

sighting for the rest of their lives

later the same day a local newspaper

reporter gains access to the

Grange where he photographs unusual

circular markings on the

ground the West all School Headmaster

not present at the sighting discounts

the event and warns students to keep

away from the

media UFO experts believe the sightings

in the schoolyard and at the Grange were

witnessed by as many is 300 students

teachers and local

residents most maintained their silence

until 2005 when a new investigation into

the case was opened and media interest

was

renewed almost 40 years after the

sighting some 90 Witnesses reunite and

swear once again they saw Flying Saucer

rapidly the car was

after a long shift at the psychiatric

hospital nurse attendant John Hudson

finally heads

home I personally interviewed John

Hudson we were able to verify his

employment at a local hospital and he

was employed in a position of high

credibility he was playing Christmas

music real loud on the radio kicking

back and enjoying the ride home and it's

about a 15 minute drive

home you have one new

message hi honey hope you had a good day

I just wanted to give you a heads up the

roads were really slippery when I came

home tonight so drive carefully okay

love you

by the route home is a windy country

road with Rolling Hills fairly desolate

some light rain tonight with

temperatures expected to reach a low of

37 but it will warm up in the afternoon

with a high of 48 the dropped to three

and as he came over one of the hills he

noticed a light in the

[Music]

sky as he was driving the object was

becoming becoming larger and larger

because he was getting close to it or it

was getting closer to

him it appeared to be a light off in the

distance like you normally see an

aircraft lighting the light seemed to be

moving at a fairly rapid speed he was

very

curious he pulled off the side of the

road and stopped

as the object moves closer to Hudson's

car it slows to AOSS

all that doesn't fit with any kind of

motion of a typical airplane airplane

can't slow down that

rapidly approximately 200 ft in size

cigar shaped at the bottom of whatever

this was it was long rectangular are

almost like a a fan

blade this object was now basically

directly

overhead and I think at that point he

went from a state of

[Music]

curios to evolving into a state of

fear John doesn't think he's dealing

with something that has come of this

[Music]

Earth in the desolate foothills of the

Catskill Mountains a mysterious object

stopped directly over John Hudson's

car it was over the vehicle and it was

just rotating

the craft releases an unusual beam of

light that to Hudson looks like a solid

tube solid light is a light that behaves

as a tube that doesn't diverge or fan

out but that's not something that we've

been able to develop to any great degree

at this stage

it's like stopping in midair in natural

laws of physics We Can't Stop Lighting

in the midair to stop light physically

is literally impossible closest

approximation would be a laser light

that doesn't diverge we're a long way

off trying to emulate that

effect the light beam struck the vehicle

solid light beam cases seem to involve

interacting with our own light systems

as well and affecting those in quite

unusual

ways the headlights in the car went out

the Dashboard Lights Went Out the music

that he was listening to in the car went

out the car was dead there was no

electrical flow in anything in the

vehicle

the cell phone was

dead John Hudson is Miles Away From Hell

there was no one there there were no

cars there's no street lights he's in a

very dark desolate Country

Road he tried to put the windows down

the power windows wouldn't work the

power door locks wouldn't work so now

he's feeling

trapped he finally is able to get a hold

of the door handle and manually pop the

door open

and he was trying to figure out what to

do should he stay in the car should I

open the door should I try to run for

it the strange tube of light suddenly

pulls back

the lights on the object went

out everything in the car came back on I

asked him did it take off or did the

lights go out he said he didn't

know and John Hudson doesn't wait around

to find out he pushed the gas pedal to

the floor and got out of there as fast

as he can

he ran every stop light and stop sign

between that location at his

home he was scared to death and he

almost wrecked the car John was a

medical professional most Hospital

individuals pay attention to details so

we have a situation here where

somebody's describing something that

happened to him and I don't one moment

think anything John said is

untrue John's Car becomes the focus of

an investigation by muon the mutual UFO

Network muon uses a trifield meter to

scan the

car they report that the needle Peaks

Beyond readable scale limits indicating

a very strong magnetic

[Music]

field investigators locate an identical

vehicle for comparison testing but none

of the same heightened magnetic readings

are

found when muon returns to inspect John

Hudson's car 3 weeks later they report

finding 60% of the magnetic field still

present in the

vehicle investiga interview a New York

state trooper who was assigned to patrol

the area where the incident

occurred the officer acknowledges

hearing radio traffic about strange

lights in the

sky but these are later determined to be

a hot air

balloon no other Witnesses ever come

forward to corroborate John Hudson's

claim of a close

encounter a million UFO sightings are

All-American uh Farm folks that we're

talking about for this

dinner but they're teenage son Ronnie is

running late he still needs to feed the

pigs Ron Johnson the prime witness in

the case was a 16-year-old

boy Ron had his faithful dog snowball

with him

his dog snowball who was his constant

companion apparently showed unease

looking up at the sky what's wrong

boy he's disturbed by something off in

the distance

Ronnie hears the sound of something

breaking outside

snowball Ronnie hears another familiar

sound it seems to be coming from the

other side of the

[Music]

barn Ron thought he heard something that

he described similar to a washing

machine it was a metallic type of

sound Ron was about 75 ft from the

source of the sound itself

he saw something unusual not far away

actually

dinner he saw this mushroom shaped

object covering right above the

ground 8 to 9 ft across very close to

the ground but not on the

ground Ron lived in an isolated area on

a farm there were no military bases or

helicopters that would have been in that

area and they certainly would not have

looked similar to this

object Ron looked closely at it but he

just couldn't see any specific details

possibly cuz it was so bright

as Ron was watching the object the glow

at the base began to brighten

more Ronnie thinks he sees something

seeping from the

craft there appeared to be highly

illuminated material coming from

it the object after a minute or two

began to rise into into the air

slowly he began to feel his eyes

burning Ron all of a sudden couldn't see

anything when Ron said it wasn't well I

was seeing spots or I couldn't see

anything because of this white light

that flashed my

eyes basically he indicated he could see

nothing he essentially went

blind Bonnie your

eyes almost within seconds her fingers

became

num in a secluded farm field in Kansas

teenager Ronnie Johnson stumbles across

a strange glowing object

that suddenly blinds him Ron basically

described what you would call full blind

but it's not only Ronnie that's having a

strange experience snowball snowball

where are you

snowball Ron's dog during the experience

was uncharacteristically quiet didn't

bark at all this has been seen before in

other cases where the animals seem to be

aware of the presence of a UFO but act

very differently than normal by becoming

still seconds later he hears the object

moving

away it uh picked up speed but was not

moving at a huge a rate of

speed as the craft leaves Lonnie's sight

returns I would think it would have to

be something that shock the uh optic

nerve behind the eye in such a way that

for a brief moments in time the brain is

not communicating with the optic nerve

as his mother and father looked up in

the sky they describe something as

bright as a car headlight at 100 ft

that's much brighter than the full moon

that is an object which you're not going

to misinterpret as any other type of

celestial

object Ronnie takes his parents back to

the spot where he saw the hovering

craft they saw this glowing ring on the

ground Mrs Johnson was apparently quite

curious about the ring and wanted to see

what it consisted

of it was kind of a powdery substance on

top of

it almost within seconds her fingers

became numb where she had touch the

ring she described the feeling

comparable is to a tingling type

sensation where you've cut off

circulation and there's a numbing to the

skin

limb that is snapped off in the path

where he saw the

ship as far as they knew those things

were you know not broken before the

incident it reminds him of the loud

crack he heard back in the barn

the tree limb has the same glow as the

camera took a photograph of the ring and

that photograph exists

take over the Family Farm And for years

he was troubled by trespassers warning a

ring eventually he decided that enough

was enough uh he brought in a a load of

top soil and buried the ring or what was

then left of the

the white ring substance is both

resistant to water and glows in the

concentrations of calcium oxalate an

organic compound found naturally in

reporting something strange up in the

sky it's close to

you the witness says it looks like a

two-story

house if I see it what AM am I supposed

to do about

it the individual who described the

Flying House also described windows on

the side illuminated rectangular

sections along the side of this object

the witness says it's got all these

blinking lights and it's moving in your

direction can you check it

out did they say if that truck driver

was DUI no he seemed quite serious it's

a 1033 suspicious vehicle 104 I'm out

in speaking with officer Barton I found

him to be extremely credible very detail

oriented in his reporting of what he

claims to have witnessed that

west on whitkus road he observed two

lights in the

distance he speculated that it might

have been an aircraft coming in for

landing just 16 km away is Illinois's

largest Air Force

he did think that it could possibly be a

plane in

distress he knew something was happening

that he needed to get to

in the nearby town of Shiloh a Second

shape this object now appeared to him as

a single large light very bright he

likened the sighting to the Japanese

Rising Sun Battle Flag very distinct

beams of light radiating

outward police officers as UFO Witnesses

they have much more to lose than the

average citizen their reputation their

credibility is what they stand upon to

come forward and report a UFO

jeopardizes all of that be advised

there's a very bright light just east of

town it's not an airplane it's not the

moon it's not a

star this was an unconventional

they have nothing flying in this area

no planes of any kind in the

call about a strange flying house moving

over Lebanon Illinois be advised there's

a very bright light just east of town he

discovers a craft that appears to change

shape in

seconds the aspect of morphing or

changing shape has been documented over

many decades in UFO reports certainly we

were not aware of all the R&D

development in the Black Project world

but that aspect seems to defy man-made

technology as we know it

the object morphs into a long

noted that it made a flat pivot turn

this particular type of maneuver flies

in the face of conventional aerodynamic

principles as far as far as aircraft

typically banking when they make a turn

this object was silent and made a flat

turn in the blink of an eye this object

Southwest Ed you got a position on that

right all indicators point to the fact

that we are dealing with some radical

type of propulsion system Beyond just

simple combustion jet engines it's

possible that we're looking at uh

aircraft that are being cloaked or not

visible and then another aircraft miles

visible it's headed westbound should be

looks up you can probably see it

white lights I mean it's wide

it's 15 miles away in the St Louis

suburb of Milad officer Craig Stevens is

on a

break he's tuned into the same radio

frequency but the reception is breaking

one an unidentified aircraft headed your

three officers submit forensic sketches

of the object when later analyzed

their radar system was turned off the

impossible to confirm or deny what they

Discovery Science a non-governmental

could have been an experimental

site Jim peniston was head of security

for the Woodbridge base which was one of

the two bases that were part of the

bentwaters

complex pennison received a call that

something had come down in the woods

next door to the Bas and he needed to go

out and check it

out the initial suspicion was that

perhaps a civilian aircraft had crashed

and started a fire there was a sense of

urgency about

it confirming two men to Rono at crash

location

over this is the height of the Cold War

the political atmosphere is tense so the

idea thatth you might be dealing with a

Soviet or war or packed craft of some

sort cannot be ruled out at this

stage peniston reaches the edge of renam

forest and meets the two men who saw the

craft go down stay with the vehicle

maintain radio contact Burrows with me

now Airman Edward cabansag and John

cabanac was told to stay back and man

the

radios Burrows and peniston went in to

check it

out in any aircraft crash there are

clear signs there'll be the smell of

aviation fuel there'll be

debris none of this was

present but 100 m

away they see flickering

lights John of course was familiar with

aircraft and helicopters the lights that

he was seeing were not the normal

navigation like

colors the initial theory that this was

an aircraft accident no longer holds

true the critical question from a

security point of view is does this

thing whatever it is pose a threat to

the

base as they move closer the mission

suddenly shifts from search and rescue

to shoot on

site the fact that it was during the

Cold War of course made people

particularly sensitive to security

issues all military bases are on

constant alert for Espionage terrorism

or indeed anything

unusual you's get control how do you

over they started to lose their radio

capabilities they could no longer

communicate and then suddenly

there's nothing in his frame of

reference that's prepared him for this

experience it felt almost like a bolt of

electricity firing through his body

Sergeant Jim peniston and Airman John

buroughs investigate a possible plane

crash but when they arrive on

scene they experience the

unexplainable I've spoken to John and

Jim about this it's like they are there

together investigating this but there

comes a point where where they're not it

it's strange it's like there is a sense

of separation

this is effectively a small

triangular-shaped craft maybe about 9 ft

High and the same across the

base he felt the kind of electrical

charge from the object so he said he

felt his hair kind of on end his hair

and his arms standing

description was very very smooth but it

looked metallic

was pulsing throbbing it was almost

organic no sign of wings or any kind of

propeller or you know anything that

could have propelled it but it was just

sitting there on the ground and he knew

this was something extremely unusual was

airplane Jim peniston was a highly

experienced member of the

military this guy is a real deep

specialist when it comes to aircraft and

drones and when Jim says no this is not

a Russian craft of any sort you can take

that to the

bang one of the most striking things to

him was these symbols that he saw on it

nothing that resembled letters or

numbers as we know

them he likened them to Egyptian

hieroglyphs at one point he actually put

his hand on it

he will never forget the moment that he

did

that it felt almost like a bolt of

electricity firing through his

body normally when an object accelerates

very rapidly it passes through the sound

barrier and you would get a sonic boom

with this there's no Sonic Boom this

object okay whatever it is is

silent suddenly peniston notices that

burrows is

back they push on through the trees in

pursuit of this object

there comes a point where they lose

sight of this

what is your status over as the object

disappears their radios come back to

life copy turning the vehicle

now they decide at that point to return

to base

this is a lifechanging event it's clear

that even now over 30 years after this

event it still haunts

them desperate for aners sergeant

peniston returns to rendam Forest the

next day he finds Scorch marks broken

branches and triangular indentations in

the ground where he claims the craft

landed a few days later US Air Force

investigators sweep the area and uncover

radiation levels much higher than

normal Sergeant peniston is later

informed by the photo lab at the base

that none of his pictures came out he's

denied access to the

negatives in 1988 John buroughs went

under

hypnosis at that time he told an

investigator that he remembered being

drawn towards a light and feeling

disoriented

penniston and buroughs recently

announced their intention to file a

federal lawsuit against the Veterans

Administration they believe the rendam

incident has caused them chronic health

problems to this day the American

government refuses to speak publicly

about the

case what the hell is

that what's all of commotion I don't

know what's going on but but people may

need our help

we need to account for all flights down

the Eastern

Seaboard nobody knows what's going on

Norm Smith and his friend leave the

local dance sooner than

planned there a close one

M Norm Smith was a young fisherman he

was only 18 years old a norm was uh

driving back in a car with a friend from

Cape Sable Island from the community

center there this was a Wednesday night

and they were coming into shag

Harbor perched on the southwestern tip

of Nova

Scotia shag Harbor is known as a quiet

fishing

Village I'm from Halifax Nova Scotia and

I've known Norm Smith for probably 20

odd years

now what the hell is that what

there Norm Smith gave us a good part of

the story from his point of view but

what happened that night he said he saw

an array of Lights in a line such a

weird glow to it at that point uh he

didn't see shape he just saw lights up

in the sky traveling parallel with the

car as it went along Old Highway number

three I've never seen anything like it

is this big orange weird

night first impression was that this was

probably an airplane or maybe it was an

airplane it looked odd but he couldn't

be sure at the

time he didn't think it was a a typical

aircraft but it could have been in his

mind something a bit unusual perhaps an

aircraft in trouble perhaps something

that had one of its lights burned out or

an unusual

angle I mean what could it be I don't

know maybe a plane crash or something

plane

crash his friend drops norof at his

house but his night is far from

[Music]

over just about that point the mounties

from barington passage pass them and

they the legs

flashing the rmp in the area were

getting these phone calls from the

people who lived around the harbor and

the sound in the space of about 5

minutes the uh Detachment had gotten

about five phone calls saying that they

thought they saw an airplane crashing

into the

harbor Norma ran inside to get his uncle

what's all the commotion I don't know

what's going on but people may need a

help let me grab my

jacket so they thought well this could

be a crashing

airplane we might be need it down there

let's get ready and go down and that's

what they

did Norm arrived at the shore by that

time there's 14 15 16 people there

including the

mounties everybody's standing there

looking out at the water and looking at

this dark object out on the water with a

pale yellow light on the

top this thing was pretty close to 1,500

ft away at that point nobody knows

what's going on here Coast Guard this is

Shag Harbor do your read come

in the RCMP calls for backup they need

someone out on the water

but before they can even finish their

call they're facing a full-on

emergency what are we looking for here

and why can't we find

it what the hell is that

Norm Smith along with dozens of other

Witnesses watches a strange object hits

the water off the coast of shag Harbor

Nova

Scotia they didn't know whether it had

submerged or it had just lost power at

any rate This was um reason for concern

it was time to speed things up and let's

get going here and see what's going on

check with RCC we need to account for

all flights down the Eastern Seaboard

the Corporal in charge he got one of his

constables to uh call rescue

coordination Center in Halifax to see if

they had any missing aircraft we'll

follow up with the RCC and the Coast

Guard but maintain radio contact in the

meantime we need you men out on the

water these are people that look after

one another and um if they think that

there's somebody in danger out there on

the water they're going to do their best

to help them all right all right right

yeah some of the uh people including

Norm Smith got on two of the boats that

were called out and they would out on

the water to go out on the sound to look

for what they thought might be wreckage

or

survivors Norm Smith told me that you

know he was quite upset when he went he

was only 18 years old and he didn't know

what he was going to be seeing bodies

floating around the water that sort of

thing they don't find bodies or

wreckage instead they discover something

much

stranger the captain of the first boat

called across and said uh when you make

over the this he said I don't know what

it is but I don't much like

it but they sailed into it

anyway and they tried to take samples of

some foam that was on the water it's

about 4 in thick glittery yellow smelled

of sulfur wasn't seaf foam they had

never seen anything like it

before the thinking at the time was

maybe it was some byproduct of aircraft

fuel or jet fuel interacting with

seawater but uh of course it wasn't it

doesn't do

that rescue boat 2 be advised RCC

confirms no missing aircraft in this

sector there was no aircraft missing

there was no military aircraft missing

commercial or private aircraft so at

that point everybody's wondering well

what are we looking for here and why

can't we find it some believe the object

didn't crash it took a dive beneath the

waves as if on a mission a Uso is an

unidentified submerged object and a uuo

is an unidentified underwater object

there's simply another way of saying an

object that we simply can't identify

except these ones were in the water

there actually have been a number of

studies suggesting that UFOs are

attracted to water or if aliens are

involved maybe they're interested in

water for one reason or

another Norm continued to search right

up until about 3:30 in the morning he

had been up for basically 36

hours when the search comes up empty

Norm Smith and other Witnesses decide to

go public with their

story shagar was a very small community

at the time maybe 600 people living

there and everybody knows everybody else

they're down to earth people these are

people that work on the sea one of the

most dangerous jobs in the world they

don't need to make up stories they

they've got stories in abundance but the

question remains what disappeared into

the ocean off shag Harbor

the search for an answer triggers an

extensive underwater investigation 2

days after the incident the Canadian

Navy dispatches a team of divers to

scour the seafloor off shag

Harbor with so many witnesses the media

quickly gets hold of the story Cold War

fears lead to speculation that the

strange lights may have been some kind

of Soviet military

spycraft the official government report

concludes that no a object or craft of

any kind is ever

found but years later some of the divers

who searched the site refute the

official report claiming they did see

wreckage of an unknown

origin a million UFO sightings are

reported each

year most can be

debunked but 5% remain

unexplained these are the close

encounters

just across the Canadian border is the

luring Air Force Base it's the largest

Strategic Air Command bomber base in

America

it was the largest in terms of the

amount of nuclear weaponry that was kept

on that base and this was during the

Cold War when there was always the

danger of nuclear war between the United

States and the Soviet

Union for that reason security is

airtight anyone breaking the base

Perimeter at luring would be in serious

trouble

even some of the soldiers on the base

were not always aware of the nuclear

weapons that were hidden on the

base just outside the weapon storage

area staff sergeant Danny Lewis works

the night

shift Lewis is a member of the security

Detachment at luring Air Force Base he's

out doing his job

and he sees some lights in the sky uh

moving back and forth uh maybe beyond

the perimeter of the base but close to

the

base he could not determine exactly what

type of aircraft was approaching it

moves like a helicopter it goes up and

down like a helicopter would it's moving

in the kind of things you'd expect a

helicopter to do it's not really on the

base it's just maneuvering around the

base and this was a great grave concern

because no aircraft is supposed to come

on the base without

authorization to this is wsf Patrol over

wsf Patrol Tower over are you tracking

to uh helicopter East Northeast few

miles out wsf Patrol Roger

that just getting it now East Northeast

but no

on that aircraft we have an object now

that's approaching a restricted military

base that is not replying to contacts

have been made L's next move is to

communicate with the command post let

them know that there's something going

on base commander this is wsf Patrol

tracking uh helicopter East Northeast

few miles

out Lewis reaches the base commander who

races to the top of the viewing

Tower he's worried about things

penetrating his weapon storage

the object that they're watching circles

around the Bas and then it

disappears Sergeant Lewis is sent out to

investigate Z this is wsf Patrol

moving they rushed all of the K9 and MPS

into the area to inspect everything to

make sure that no one had gotten into

the

base they could find no indication that

anyone on the ground had Disturbed the

weapon storage site or any other of the

facilities 24 hours later the base is

still on high alert

and Sergeant Lewis returns to his post

at the weapon storage

area the next night Lewis is outdoing

his Patrol

again and just like in the first night

he sees an object approaching the base

from the Northeast but this time it's

moved right over the base itself

and is headed straight for the weapon

storage

was a helicopter you'd expect to see

light reflecting off the rotor blades

you'd expect to see the navigation

lights you'd hear the noise from the

engine it was quiet command post to wsf

patrol go ahead sir we have an intruder

it's within 300 yd of the nuclear weapon

storage facility

you're going to want to check this

out they don't know if it has weapons

they don't know it's

intent BST wsf Patrol an unidentified

aircraft moves over a US Air Force

Base sir we have an intruder and is

hovering near its nuclear weapon Arsenal

it's now penetrated the floring base now

it's become something much more

important than it was they don't know if

it has weapons they don't know it's

intent any craft who flies into

restricted military airspace is at risk

of being shot

down but that ultimate decision rests

with the base commander

something what if it turned out to be a

civilian helicopter and they fired at it

circles the

sir it looks like it may have landed

the object leads ikner and Jones to an

because we're not supposed to be in this

area suddenly they see the object

directly in front

police and decide to exit the restricted

area as quickly as

possible but right now the last thing on

Lewis's mind is ignar and Jones

the lights go out the object disappears

again it appears to be heading north

the object heads back again towards the

Northeast towards the Canadian

border and disappears off radar very

similar to what happened the night

before the MPS continue to search the

base to make sure no one has physically

landed on the base

States government admitted that some

unknown aircraft penetrated US nuclear

facilities and they were not able to

determine either where they came from or

whose aircraft they were

Air Force Base sends priority messages

headquarters informing them of the

incidents one message recommends that

Northern Tier bases employ a security

option 3 alert along the US Canada

to listen to him tell me about the

story World War II may be over

but swedes are still very wary of any

loud explosions

bent on world domination they're

attempting to take over many other

countries in Europe Sweden is worried

about what the Soviet Union is going to

do Cano's Farm is less than 500 km from

the Russian border and air strike is

always a possibility Sweden has always

been a little aware of of Russia because

of the threat from from the East and

sweds were very much aware of what was

flying in the

skies when I interviewed cut he told me

that he heard a tremendous strange noise

from the

heavens he was looking up at that noise

and trying to find out what was

coming to Lick's first thought was that

it was a great

storm but it doesn't look like any storm

cloud

he saw the windows

rattling he looked up into the sky and

saw an elongated rocket-like object with

two fins pointing out from the

sides Sweden still remembered the war

and the V bombs that Nazi Germany sent

Sweden but those Rockets were aimed at

major

cities kilar is in the middle of

nowhere was flying straight into the

Lake a blast wave causes a violent

ripple

effect something hit the bottom of the

lake and exploded

in the Swedish Countryside a mysterious

object races towards canut lyback's

Ripple of

that part of the bottom from this Lake

was thrown on the

okay Cano suspects they've been hit with

a V1

the V bombs from the war the V1 was kind

of an airplane with a big rocket pot on

the top and it would fly more or less

straight level it's sort of what we

would call a cruise missile

didn't look like a V1 can lbe described

nose it wasn't stub nose on this

any debris below the

water if you're looking at the bottom of

a lake and you see something fall into

the lake and it's heavy enough and it's

traveling deep enough it may bury itself

in the silt at the bottom of the lake so

the crash on July 19th was one of four

crashes within 5

hours without exception all of them land

in remote

should have crashed on

land to me this is an enigma this is a

puzzle doesn't fit with rockets it

doesn't fit with really anything that we

could suggest

today the day after the object crashed

the first military was sent to the lake

they searched the lake for 2 weeks and I

found

nothing the Swedish military sends a

team of soldiers and Engineers to scour

Lake Kumar with electrical probes mining

equipment metal detectors and guer

counters they collect 35,000 samples but

all are identified as local

materials as many as 30 similar crashes

are recorded across Sweden in the summer

of

1946 in all cases no debris is ever

recovered because they leave leave no

Trace behind and are never identified

the Swedish military classify these

mysterious objects as ghost

Rockets a special ghost rocket committee

is set up to study them more closely

while the committee determines that some

of these sightings are in fact meteors

others like the sighting at Lake Kolar

remain

unexplained a million UFO sightings are

reported each year

most can be

debunked but 5% remain

unexplained these are the close

for Australian sugarcane farmer Albert

recurring dream that something unusual

like a flying Source was going to land

on the

property I'll be right back

and just like in his dream Albert's dog

barking this was sort of

uncharacteristic but Albert's dogs sort

of went

berserk what you got there boy the dog

seems disturbed by something on the

property but Albert sees nothing out of

place

a few hours later Albert's hard at work

when his neighbor George Pedley passes

by on route to his

field hey George whole lot of Ying going

on over there oh that dog won't stop you

all right he been giving me

nightmares all right take care mate

George Pedley was a

28-year-old banana farmer and he lived

adjacent to the Albert Pan

Farm he would use Albert's property as a

shortcut to go from one property to the

next on his way George Pedley drives by

one of lagoons as George approached the

Lagoon he started to hear what sounded

like a high pitched

noise he couldn't figure it out he

thought it might have been his tire or

losing air or something like

that but then he realized it was coming

from the location of the Lagoon

itself hesho Lagoon it's a a tidal

horseshoe shaped Lagoon and its normal

appearance is basically it's chocolate

block full of what's called locally

sword grass you didn't have too many

open areas of water

it's unclear to George where exactly the

sound is coming

from George hears something moving

through the

reads George is not somebody who's prone

to flights are fancy

and it's at that point that he notices

the flying

[Music]

sorcer it's gone beyond Just a Dream now

hor and Albert hey George you take care

mate farmer George Pedley regularly

drives past his neighbor's

Lagoon but today he comes across a

surprise

visitor this thing was literally right

in front of him and and scared the

beeses out of him when it rose

up he described it as two sources

inverted touching rim to rim

with a protuberance on the top as well

as on the bottom and apparently metallic

looking the object seem to be about 30

ft in diameter uh approximately about 9

ft to 10 ft in

height this case really stood out big

time because it's no longer a light in

the sky or the something s at night this

is broad daylight clear

morning and then it goes up again about

another 25

ft and from there at a 45° angle takes

off almost in the blink of an eye at

great

speed I think for George there was an

element of absolute

shock George was in a real fix here

because he had been somewhat negative

about other people in the area reporting

UFO sightings now it's something that

happened to other people but now he's in

a real bind

know Albert pish was amazed but at the

same time he was somewhat unsurprised in

a bizarre kind of way because he had

these recurring

dreams one of the unusual features that

figures in the tul case and it's in

cases around the world is this recurring

feature of what's seen through like a

precognitive kind of dream effect and it

often occurs in these close encounter

cases where there's some awareness of

something that's about to happen

but George and Albert were dumbfounded

by what they

found I was seeing this what like a

floating pontoon or a mass of tightly

interwoven sword grass about 30 ft wide

resting on the top of the Lagoon and it

was swirling in a clockwise

Direction looks like a nest made of

Sword

grass Albert rushes back home to get his

camera

for Albert this dream seems to be coming

true for him it's happening before his

very

eyes The Nest shaped object is roughly

the same size as the saucer George

claims he saw

earlier there was a definite Rim around

the sword grass where the grass was

pushed down lower into the water and the

rest of the grass was up higher as if an

inverted sorcer if you like had pressed

down on top of the

grass George was a very determined kind

of guy he really wanted absolute

evidence George decides to go into the

Lagoon to

investigate it's not something that you

would do readily enter the water without

some due caution because you had hazards

natural hazards in the area and those

hazards include crocodiles and also

Taipan snakes a pretty deadly species

and a fairly aggressive

species as George descends Albert

returns with his camera

George determined that there were three

indentations or what appeared to be

three equally spaced indentations where

the roots of the sword grass have been

pulled up could this have been the

tripod Landing arms of a flying sorcerer

or something like that

the word got around very quickly in the

local community that something had

happened in fact the police came onto

the scene within the first 48 hours and

they started an

investigation the Tully saucer Nest is

examined in minute

detail samples of reads mud and water

from the nest area are submitted to the

Queensland University botney and physics

departments but no unusual elements are

discovered the Australian Air Force

investigates and concludes that a willy

willy or circular wind phenomenon

flattened the reads and sucked up debris

30 ft into the air forming the

appearance of a flying

saucer such powerful wind phenomenon

occur regularly in the area but the

weather on January 19th was calm and

sunny over the following year years

Albert pan continues to find nests in

his

Lagoon in 1969 determined to find the

cause he sets up a motion sensitive

camera once the camera is tripped the

film is mailed to Kodak for

analysis but when the canister has

returned it's

empty George Pedley never sees another

saucer again

the headlight beam is actually going off

towards this object instead of the

directly in front of the

car he's in fear for his

Australian businessman Ron Sullivan is

heading out on a longdistance sales

trip Ron Sullivan was a steel

fabrication businessman who used to

travel a lot around that part of

Victoria he was traveling from his

hometown Mary bar to another another

town called witchy proof it was a drive

that he did about twice a week

hell after an hour on Route Sullivan

approaches the tiny remote Village of

burk's

flat if you blinked you'd Miss burk's

flat we're just dealing with a country

road in the middle of rural

Victoria it's on this stretch of road

where Sullivan spots a light in his

Trail it

disappears but not for

long Ron actually thought that he was

looking at some sort of night plowing

activity I

tractor he thought it was associated

with a piece of farm

equipment but then something strange

happens to his car's

headlights the headlights of his car are

being drawn towards this white light as

if magnetically

somehow the headlight beam is actually

going off towards this object instead of

the directly in front of the car

and the effect on Ron is that he feels

as though his car is being drawn off to

the side of the

road his car is then heading towards

this huge gum

tree he's in fear for his

life all this occurred in a very short

period of time and and Incredibly

disorientating for Ron

Sullivan he didn't see a particular

object but there was something there

which obviously possessed some sort of

power right what

now it was clear that this was no

farming activity

his strange trip is far from

over and then about 30 ft up in the air

is a larger circular oval-shaped patch

of

[Music]

light on a sales trip in rule Australia

engineer Ron Sullivan encounters a

strange light in a nearby Field it

affects his car's front beams and causes

him to spin out of

control he's looking at this thing

thinking what the hell is

[Applause]

this he's sort of really puzzled what is

this

light and he sees that the white light

grows in

size and then about 30 ft up in the air

is a larger circular oval-shaped patch

of

light moving between the two circular

lights is a rainbow display of lights

the colors of the

spectrum was almost as if they were

moving up and down between the two white

lights inside

tubes as he's watching this display of

lights the circular Light 30 ft up in

the air descends descends descends until

it reaches the bottom patch of

light and the last thing that Ron

remembers seeing is that small patch of

light just blinking off can't see it

anymore this experience despite its

incredibly dramatic nature uh lasted for

less than a minute we're we're talking

in the order of anywhere between 10 15

20

seconds by this point of course he's

rather upset rather frightened and

continues to the next town Al l

something extraordinar strange and

life-threatening had happened to him and

there was no way that he was going to

hang around

there his car and by virtue of that

himself had been put into danger and had

been put into danger by something which

he just couldn't identify

he did stop at the very next town St

arned got out and inspected his vehicle

to see if there was anything obviously

wrong with his

car but he couldn't see anything wrong

it was very clear to Ron that this thing

in the field was somehow in a way that

he couldn't understand responsible for

the headlight beam effect

the unusual effect on his car's

headlights fits with a rare phenomenon

known as solid

light with the solid light type effects

uh manmade light is often caused to

behave in unusual ways light that

behaves as a tube that doesn't diverge

or fan out IE in Burks flat you have

this headlight beam

deviating there's a handful of cases

that where this strange kind of

interaction with human light sources

occurs Ron Sullivan will spend the rest

of his life looking for an

explanation but the mystery remains to

this day the following morning Ron

Sullivan files a police report and

notifies a local

newspaper Sullivan has his headlights

checked by a mechanic but they're found

to be in perfect working order

then on April 6th

1966 2 days after Sullivan's sighting

19-year-old Gary tayor is killed when he

loses control of his car and collides

with a tree on the same stretch of

road 3 days after the event Sullivan and

a local newspaper editor claimed to find

a saucer-shaped impression in the Earth

where the sighting

occurred in the years since other

unexplained lights are reported in the

same area leading to local rumors that

Burks flat is

veteran of the New Mexico police force

he's built a reputation for not letting

anyone get away with anything on his

business and his business as a policeman

was to in this case look after people's

speeding

Samora here's a blast in the distance so

he breaks off the chase of the

speeder what the

hell Zamora saw a very bright light he

thought was a CL possibly and it was so

unusual and so low that he figured he

had to investigated as a police officer

was this a plane possibly and that was

having problems what was this sakuro 2

to sakuro nip we got some kind of

explosion Southwest of 60 off Canyon

Road I'm going to check it out call over

the search for answers leads him into

the blistering

desert he pulls his car up on top of a

ridge so that he can get a better look

at what's going on down below

him and he sees what he thinks is an

overturned

car he thinks there's been some kind of

an accident

he's looking down at what he describes

as an egg-shaped object sitting on four

legs he's not really sure what it

is if you can think back to a lunar

lander that we had on the moon for the

Apollo missions with legs that come out

you know at an angle from an object to

stabilize it that's essentially how

describe them but what Zamora sees next

is even

stranger he sees these two

beings so more is freaked out by what

he's seeing

officer Lonnie Zamora investigates an

explosion in the

desert and comes across what seems like

a bizarre

Mirage the two figures looked human

enough though they were small smaller

than uh a normal person would

be what happens to many witnesses when

they first see something unusual is that

they go through what we often call the

escalation of hypothesis and they

absolutely start with the reality with

Samora it might have been I'm seeing a

secret test vehicle from the nearby

White Sands Missile

Range officer Zamora decides to

investigate but the two small figures

seem to have

disappeared he figured that's that they

had gotten into a a hatch a door and had

closed it and that was the thumping

sound he heard

he just figured I have to go investigate

this Zamora moves towards the

craft he's now only 20 M

away and he still can't figure out what

he's looking

[Music]

at Zamora was uncertain about what he

was saying but he was a police officer

and so he kept approaching the

[Music]

object he sees a symbol on the craft

sort of a umbrella shaped or an arch

with an arrow underneath it and a line

beneath it uh in red this is like no

sign he's ever seen from White Sands or

anywhere else it didn't say say US Air

Force it didn't say NASA or US Army or

any it didn't say anything like that to

my knowledge it doesn't resemble any

known alphabet hieroglyphics or anything

like that

that he sees a flame coming out of the

bottom a bluish glow from the

bottom he's freaked out he doesn't know

whether it's going to explode he doesn't

know what it's going to do he turned

around and ran and I can't blame

him dropped his glasses and therefore

couldn't see as well naturally as the

was beginning to go away Skeptics have

used this point to say that well you

know it possibly was a test vehicle

because he couldn't really see how it

was going away his vision was good

enough to see generally that the object

was traveling low across

country the roaring sound stopping is

critical because if it's a terrestrial

vehicle to stay up in Earth's atmosphere

it has to keep roaring jet engines

Rockets planes everything keeps the

engine running as it goes across country

this object didn't do

that Zamora he then calls into the uh

station and says send somebody out

Samora Zamora's friend Sergeant Sam

Chavez is first on the scene hey buddy

are you

okay no I'm pretty far from okay shavez

thinks it's some kind of a joke but he

realizes Zamora is clearly frightened by

what is just transpired I don't know how

to describe it it's

like they had legs it was like struts

coming down and this is where one of

them was and another one's over there

you know there were four marks on the

ground and he said they were Landing

pads and yes there's four marks that

could have been landing pads and they're

they're in deep enough that that it

would have taken an object of some size

to do that see this

way the men find a slab of what looks

like fused sand sand that's been heated

at such a high temperature that it's

become like

glass Samora what's

that they also find Footprints these

Footprints had an object geometrical

pattern and were smaller than a normal

footprint would be there were people

here except there weren't people I don't

know what they were couldn't see their

faces at

all sakuro is a case that is so unique

that uh it almost deserves its own

classification it is a case where a

creature was cited by a very reputable

witness who was in the daylight very

near the the object with that these two

humanoids were standing next to and so

it's very hard to deny in fact even

Skeptics uh will not deny that officer

Zamora saw something and that what he

saw was probably what he said he

saw the incident is extensively

investigated by the state police the Air

Force and dozens of journalists gas

station owner Opel grinder reports that

a customer buying gas near the sighting

complained of a low flying object almost

hitting his car the Air Force announces

that no aircrafts from White Sand's

Missile Range were

involved an engineer from Northwestern

University analyzes The Landing marks

and determines that they are consistent

with a craft of the weight and shape

that Lon Zamora described all other

investigations by the Air Force

involving unknown humanoid beings have

been dismissed due to the unreliability

of the

witnesses Zamora's sighting Remains the

only one that has not been

rejected she was very scared very

star the whole window front was covered

by strange lights

kilometers from Frankfurt in the middle

stuff but this feels and sounds

different

Anna looks towards a stand of oak trees

and sees that one of the trees is

illuminated the pl case is unusual in

the sense that uh we've got a fairly

striking light effect almost like it's

an unusual form of fluoresence or the

glowing

effect Anna is mesmerized by what she's

seeing and the tree itself was being

deformed in quite extraordinary ways as

if it was in the presence of a a very

strong wind

Source like the light it's unclear where

the wind wind is coming

from none of the surrounding trees

were're experiencing these

effects after a few minutes it all comes

to a dead

stop then Anna spots something even

stranger

it looked like two fris stuck together

uh the upper part uh moved in One

Direction and the other part in in

another

Direction she then made this immediate

connection uh between the object that

she was looking at and the unusual

effects occurring with this with this

small tree

the object hovers directly outside the

apartment of her best friend

Martina was not a balloon it was not a

blip it was not a

helicopter she was very

scared in her East German highrise eyes

Anna hland sees a strange hovering

object just outside her best friend

sometimes there's variations on it like

it's uh pendulum

effect the laundry drying on the balcony

was covered with

Su as a chemist that kind of details is

very significant it would have been very

interesting to have had some analysis

done on that but unfortunately it wasn't

a detail that was really investigated

thoroughly was it a dust uh which was

blowing up by the wind or was it

something

else the strange object begins to rise

up

then it disappears above the

clouds all that's left behind is a large

hole in a

cloud and therefore they obviously made

the correlation that the UF caus this

hole in the

cloud Martina was so afraid from this

incident that she never want to stay in

this um apartment

anymore the police arrive on the scene

within the hour Anna and Martina are

asked to draw a sketch of what they saw

both drawings are remarkably

similar the next day police tell the

media that the sighting was in fact a

reflection in the clouds caused by

spotlights from a local

discotech but no explanation is given

for the strong wind effect or the hole

in the

cloud UFO researcher ILO brand Von

ludger distributes 500 questionnaires in

the same neighborhood asking about the

event one new witness comes forward gter

lman independently describes both the

object and the hole in the cloud his

sketch of the craft perfectly matches

the drawings from Anna and Martina Von

ludger concludes that the lack of

witnesses is due to the reluctance of

former East Germans to speak out

publicly a million UFO sightings are

charge of a 600 acre cattle station in

the dry Australian

Outback it's in the rosale case I talked

personally to George Blackwell the

caretaker salt of the earth type of

guy George had been doing this carer

role for quite a number of years and was

a trusted employee a very substantial

character George bunch of Kett Russ has

been poking around again George Black's

responsibilities on the ranch or the

property were making sure that the

cattle and livestock were secured I'll

be up with this trouble right cattle

rustling is something that seems quite

foreign to the modern era but uh it's a

problem it's still alive today in

Australia high-tech rustlers use

anything from tractor trailers to cargo

planes to steal cattle there hadn't been

An Occurrence on that property but the

caretaker was kind of aware and

sensitive to disturbances making sure

that he was responsive to anything that

might have gone down on a particular

evening

suddenly George Blackwell was disturbed

by The Fairly substantial breakout of a

livestock black notices the prized mayor

is extremely

spooked animals seem more sensitive to

their environments than humans so it's

not unusual that animals would sense

high-pitch noises or electromagnetic

effects then George sees something in

the distance

they could straight away determine that

he was this uh unusual dis shaped object

that was traveling along at extremely

low

altitude he had first sort of thought

well it must be some sort of

aircraft George Sayes that the object is

heading down to this larger

Paddock bearing in mind that there had

been some local instances of of

livestock theft he obviously was obliged

to investigate

it you could see that the object was

traversing the property and he realized

that if the object continued in its

trajectory it would collide with 10,000

gon water

tank the object that he could see was

clearly not a conventional aircraft of

any type that he could

recognize what George confronted was a

really strange object

Australian Ranch Hand George Blackwell

races to protect his herd from what he

thinks is a high-tech cattle wrestling

operation the level of disturbance in

the livestock was pretty extreme and he

knows that uh by just getting on his

motorcycle and following the the path of

this object he'd be able to get a clear

um line of sight as to what was going on

in the actual

property as Blackwell rounds the corner

he makes a startling

[Music]

Discovery he's met with one cow just

obviously in a highly distressed State

frothing from the mouth just wanted to

get

[Music]

out Blackwell comes face to face with

the object he's been tracking the whole

cattle rustling side of the the equation

had gone out the window uh he knew he

wasn't dealing with anything related to

a cattle wrestling

operation Blackwell Moves In for a

closer look the object had moved down

and actually appeared to come to rest on

top of the water

tank the things that were immedately

apparent to George was that this was no

ordinary aircraft or helicopter there

was no wings no propellers no

nothing George I think was having

trouble trying to figure out what the

hell was going

on was dealing with a an object that

appeared to be roughly 25 ft in diameter

approximately 12 to 15 ft in height and

on the bottom of this was the black band

or a spherical band

underneath it was drawing up water

through some sort of tube like extension

from the bottom of of the

object there's all sorts of speculation

about whether or not this has to do with

some sort of fuel cycle or something

like that given what transpired in this

encounter U there was a a major

connection with

water George Blackwell begins to feel

uneasy he's starting to become extremely

unsettled really quite agitated

he had problems with the watch his watch

uh had stopped so there was some sort of

almost seemingly electromagnetic kind of

disturbance going on there that affected

his

watch the object suddenly emits a

high-pitched

squeal uh the fact that the object was

creating such a noise and a and a

trembling certainly would make you

physically tremble as

well and

then Blackwell loses control of his

body he felt that that he had turned

into like a a plate of jelly he

literally almost lost all kind of uh

stability in his muscle system there was

certainly a factor going on not just

psychologically but physiologically IC

Al where the object was physically

affecting him the object suddenly rose

up uh to about 20 to 30 fet at this

point there seem to be a sudden blast of

hot

air as it pulls away from the water

tower the object releases debris

that debris consisted of Cow Patties

capeweed which is kind of a local grass

and stones

it continued off into the distance and

kept going uh until it was out of sight

and here's for George totally stunned

standing at the side in the dark with

this extraordinary event that had just

played out

the next morning Blackwell would check

his 40,000 L water tank and find it was

completely

empty investigators would learn the

night before the incident a neighbor saw

a bright colorful object in the sky

around the same time as George

Blackwell's

sighting soon after the incident

Blackwell complains of vomiting diarrhea

and severe headaches symptoms suggesting

exposure to radiation but soil samples

gathered at the site reveal no evidence

of unnatural

contamination there are very few

cases where a witness has come within

one meter of an

object this makes this one of the most

unusual cases in UFO history

few morning

errands Mr Ari was a 30 years old man

married with a good job as a biochemist

in a university

laboratory hre's home was in a small

suburban area of Noni it was basically

in uh an area where you have multiple

homes on the street N is a middle-sized

city in the east of France about 150

doen inhabitants it's a rather peaceful

place as an avid Gardener HRI is always

eager to get back to his flowers

and suddenly he noticed what he thought

was a plane crossing the sky it was uh

rather shiny and it had a very good view

of

it while the plane sounds rather unusual

HRI turns his attention back to his

garden and his prized amaranths

but he's quickly drawn back to the

skies it became more and more evident

that the object was coming towards

him he became concerned as to whether or

not this was some type of aircraft that

was possibly no longer under

control how as it approached and Drew

nearer he realized it was not an

airplane at

all his first thought of course is

concerned for himself and for his

property

the object came to stand still about 1 m

above the

ground I'm not aware that HRI had any

feeling that this object was targeting

him but he did have to take that into

account as a possibility

it was a completely strange incredible

uh

sight while working in his garden

biochemist HRI loron watches a

mysterious craft dropped from the skies

right into his

yard and after a few minutes Al's

scientific mind takes

over his emotional state was basically

one of curiosity and trying to

understand exactly what it was that he

was witnessing

this object emitted no heat it was not

moving at

all hry began to observe this object

from several different Vantage

points there was a curved part where

which look like

velum velum is a metal used in nuclear

plants it's a rather special

metal AR is tempted to touch the craft

but holds back he fears it could be

electrified and it was completely

strange incredible uh

S one of the first thoughts for any

research scientist was let me document

what I'm looking

at he went uh back to his house to grab

his camera and take a

picture at the first attempt to take a

picture his camera jammed

in many UFO cases cameras video

equipment sometimes do not operate

properly and usually it's thought it's

due to some type of e impulse or some

type of electromagnetic field but in the

case of HRI we know that his camera was

a standard camera which he had been

having problems with so we believe this

was a failure actually due to the

mechanics of this camera itself

suddenly the craft shot up very

fast and he described this as if you had

a vacuum and you just sucked the object

up into the

sky it suddenly Zips off and all he can

see left is a a bright light far away in

the sky

so he was completely flabbergasted who

was stuned by

what all the propulsion systems we're

familiar with would have left a trace or

some type of marking on the ground if it

hadn't blasted the soil

away but his precious Garden has been

strangely

affected he notices that some of his

Amarth plants have appeared to begin to

wilt those plants closest to the craft

looked like there had been heated and

dried which looked like maybe

electromagnetic

effect so now he he realizes there is

some Trace indication of this craft in

his

garden hello we police he immediately

calls the jearie and reported what had

just occurred there was a lot L at stake

for HRI to make such a

UFO reports seriously you can be

je took samples of the plants

they also took samples of the grass at

various distances from the the position

of the craft

has come within one meter of an object

such as this so this makes this one of

the most unusual cases in UFO

reaa gather in central France for a week

of prayer and bible study yes I work out

all the

time T is an important religious

community all the witness we are going

to talk about were there for for a

gathering a Christian Gathering of the

15 of

August

FR oh how are you oh good yes good nice

with you oh sure yes thank they were

camping in the

vicinity and some of them were having a

sort of uh gathering around the

fire there's so many spiders out tonight

I hope they do not end up in my don't

wor there's this tiny little

spider what is it

R uh nothing I don't know what activity

should you do tomorrow oh tomorrow I

think we're going to be doing some

canoing and we're going to be doing

that's going to be in the afternoon the

morning we're going

to rata notic a big star in the

sky we

I sir I don't

knowto had a very nervous

feeling the sighting attracts other

nearby

campers there was another young French

man and an Italian young man who was a

student

there they described a series of lights

on a huge dark Mass

like a A cander or something like

that it radiates a series of unusual

beams of

light the beams seemed not to reach

completely the

ground the witnesses appear to be

confronted by a little known Optical

phenomenon called solid

[Music]

light solid light cases involve the

projection of light in a column of light

like the lightsabers that are used in

the Star Wars movies scientifically it's

completely impossible nobody knows how

to do that today and yet here we have

this kind of tubular

[Music]

light intrigued the witnesses decide to

investigate

[Music]

but only a few hundred met from the

campsite they literally hit a

wall they became aware of what appeared

to be like a a hedge between them and

this unusual

object a hedge that wasn't there when

they passed through the area earlier

that

day what we would find later on that was

that investigators determined that there

was no such Hedge

um at that location in the

[Music]

valley it seemed that the edge was there

to prevent them from coming too

close at that point they start to become

very concerned that something quite

strange is going

on Francois tento goes in for a closer

look

it just got a hell of a lot weirder for

[Music]

them a group of young Christian pilgrims

notice a strange object in the

distance when they try to get closer

their path is blocked by a giant hedge

that seems to have come out of no

nowhere there was no such hedge at that

location in the

valley through the Hedge franois tento

sees a large Mound shaped mass in the

shadows a different object distinct from

the the main large object uh the they

were heading

towards this different object appeared

to be like a missile shell or a um a

bullet shaped thing but rather broader

at the

base suddenly the object becomes fully

illuminated and it's enormous

one of the witnesses suggested it was a

bus but it was much bigger than that

they estimated the size of this object

at 40 m

wide Witnesses describe a series of

Lights circling the

object some sort of agile uh red light

that was uh moving inside it and also

outside of it they were like

discs for were at the of flashing light

toward the object to see

better but the flashlight beam starts

behaving very

strangely it bends and is projected

upwards and again behaves in a way

similar to a Star Wars lightsaber effect

where it suddenly becomes a column of

light

one of the big lights pointed a beam

toward them which blinded them for a

while some of them reported uh tingling

almost like a pins of Nole effect that

has occurred in a number of different

solid light cases but quite often the

effects can be more dramatic even to the

point of

paralysis at that point they became

anxious and

frightened a retreat was on their mind

at that point

back at the campsite they see the same

object that originally caught their

attention the original UFO was still

there and when they came back they kept

observing

it back at the site the campers are

drawn when again to the

skies the big object uh suddenly went

off rather fast toward the South

field and there was nothing left No

Object no fence

nothing but franois Tanto does uncover

some evidence when he returns to the

site he finds an area of burnt and

desiccated grass 30 m long the same

Dimension as the second

object when he speaks to the landowner

tento is told that the desiccated grass

is where a farmer earlier burned some

hay in a nearby Woods tento finds a

large broken Branch beside a healthy

aspen tree the leaves under the damaged

tree are grayish Brown and dotted with

numerous blue and white

spots tento notifies the French UFO

group lumier Don laui lights in the

night they conduct a chemical analysis

of the Aspen

leaves no conclusive result is ever

helicopter what's going on

Federal Belgian policemen Hinrich nichel

and Hubert Von mon begin their evening

shift the night is clear with excellent

visibility they are on patrol very near

the German border just a few kilometers

from the German border around a small

town called upen in

Belgium says

oh at exactly 5:15 p.m. the officers see

a large empty field flooded with bright

lights suddenly there was this light

over this field it was almost like

they're approaching a sports arena or

something

and they're beginning to think what what

is this what is causing this bright

light and they look around for

something they think is it a

helicopter they don't have gigantic

spotlights that that can light up a

whole

field when they do discern the shape to

this thing they soon realize this is no

helicopter they looked up and they saw

this triangular object above the field

three bright white lights one on each

corner of the triangle and a a red light

in the center absolutely

silent when you radio in something like

this sometimes I think uh people in

dispatch think am I the victim of some

sort of practical joke there's a prank

what's on here dispatch contacts four

local

airports each report no unusual activity

in the

[Applause]

area the object inches ever

closer I don't know quite where they

were on the spectrum between fear and

wonder but uh whatever this thing was it

generated some highly unusual and

intense emotions with these two men

the mysterious craft then pulls away in

a Southwestern

Direction their Basic Instinct here is

to investigate so despite the unease and

possibly being confronted by something

that may even prove to be a threat they

actually decide to follow this

thing what started as a routine police

patrol is now anything but what

it's clear to them whatever they've

encountered is highly

unusual two Belgian Federal policemen

encounter a strange triangular craft

over a field when it moves away they

chase it down determined to find out

what it is

cool it was almost like it was Gliding

Over the land it moved slowly enough

that they could follow it in their car

didn't zoom off like you have in many

other

cases you know itself this slow speed is

interesting and unusual if you're

confronted with an aircraft you would

expect this thing to be traveling at

several hundred miles an

[Music]

hour they followed the object to a lake

right outside of town

the Triangular craft finally stops over

leg

gilp at this point the UFO is about 300

ft away from them and 250 ft above the

water

it's now been about an hour since they

first saw this UFO sightings are often

very fleeting but here to have one for

such a long time is

significant there was a sense of

anticipation they felt that something

was going to happen and sure

enough this red light ball is the best

way to describe it a red round thing

that looked like a ball of light was

kind of shot out from the crow

and then came back to the craft they

described as looking like a diver that

had like some kind of an underwater gun

that they might fire out that had a

string attached to it to try to Capt a

fish or something and then they would

pull it back in very hard to know what

this redl ball thing was doing possibly

it's some kind of observation probe that

they were sending out to check something

out about the water it's pure conjecture

is it surveying the area is is this some

sort of a a grid search what's going on

just when they think it can't get any

stranger it

does a second craft appears almost

identical to the first one the second

craft comes in on a tilted angle

exposing the upper side of the

fuselage they could see a dome on the

top and what looked to them like

Windows the moment you talk about

Windows you're dealing with the concept

of well if there are windows there are

occupants and at that point it tilts it

almost nods at the witnesses they

describe it like it's almost it wants to

be seen it wants them to see it it's

almost acknowledging their

presence says C

C throughout the night calls keep coming

in for similar sightings across the

region

[Music]

by the time the evening was over there

had been hundreds of witnesses to these

events that first night alone there were

estimated about 1500 Witnesses these

sightings became known as the Belgian

wave now a wave is a term used to

describe an event where there's not just

one sighting or a couple but uh

sightings coming in from a wide variety

of locations that are perceived to be

linked in some way

the events of November 29th 1989 are

documented by 30 different groups of

witnesses and by 13 different officers

in eight separate locations 4 months

later on March 30th 1990 Belgium police

once again report an unknown object

flying over

Belgium the Belgian Air Force scrambled

two F-16 Jets to investigate while

dozens of Civ civilians on the ground

claim to witness the object as it's

chased by

f-16s the actual Pilots claim no visual

confirmation of the object a mysterious

craft is captured on film The Following

month but the photographer later comes

forward and admits that his image was a

hoax of the approximately 2,000 reported

cases registered during the Belgian wave

650 are

investigated 500 remain unexplained

a million UFO sightings are reported

each

year most can be

debunked but 5% remain

unexplained these are the close

encounters

Edwin fur is a hardworking Saskatchewan

farmer very scary

Gary his neighbor Gary is a notorious

practical

joker hey Edwin fur was a farmer farmers

get to know one another and they're very

familiar with one another they help each

other out and he and his neighbor would

sometimes pull some practical jokes on

one

another

Edwin today is Sunday and for Edwin

fur's wife Sunday is Serious Business

you're going to be late for church

looking like

rain suit yourself

Edwin fur decided that rather than go to

church he would head out and catch up on

the

[Music]

Harvest kin fur been farming in the same

area with his family sharing in the

operations for quite some time it's very

common for entire families to uh

continue the tradition of farming a

particular patch of land for many

generations

[Music]

I had the opportunity to talk with Edwin

f a couple of times and I found him to

be a really nice and assuming fellow who

is uh a typical Saskatchewan farmer

[Music]

he notices not too far away from him

just off uh the side of the field

something glinting in the

Sun what the devil's he doing

now his first thought was this was his

neighbor who always liked to play pranks

on him

[Music]

and he gets off to go investigate okay

what's the prank this

[Music]

time but as he got closer he saw that

this thing was

spinning sees a metal object that's

spinning at a high rate of

speed he described this initially as a

very metallic object like some sort of

brushed

aluminum it was fairly smooth without

very much in the way of blemishes and it

was rotating uh which made him very very

puzzled indeed because this was

certainly not a Duck Blind and nothing

with which he was familiar

and he could also see that there was

some sort of pipe or Rod sticking

out some type of prob that is moving out

away from the object and is basically

probing the marsh

area so now his mind spinning what is it

exactly is this real am I imagining

things what should I do

he realizes he's also isolated there's

no one else around he's all by himself

he begins to feel the fear the

anxiety the desire to escape and to

[Music]

run as he gets on his tractor it's not

turning on

it's like in the old science fiction

movies he tries to put his key in and

turn the key but nothing happens he

doesn't know is it because of the object

or is it just because of his

[Music]

fear it almost seemed like some sort of

military

operation while working his land land

Prairie farmer Edwin furer finds a

strange spinning

object it appears to be siphoning water

from his

Marsh it is curious that in some cases

the UFOs themselves are in contact with

the water either entering the water or

perhaps there's a water tower or a marsh

or something like that that the UFO

seems to be attracted

to the object in the water Rises

up and that's when Edwin notices

something even more

spectacular he sees four more of these

objects and they're all spinning at a

high rate of

speed to have five observed at one time

is really quite unique

all the objects appear to be upside down

bowls with a bit of a a lip or

Rim they're about 5T in height 11 ft

across in diameter there was no light

being given off no really loud

noises there's no reasonable mechanism

of propulsion That's So

Silent this case is particularly

interesting because uh it's during the

day and during the day at close range

one of the objects Rose into the air

with a little puff of a gas or smoke of

some

sort the remaining four objects begin to

vibrate and the others moved upwards and

steep fashion it almost seemed like some

sort of military

operation all five objects were about

200 ft in altitude and there they remain

for 1 to 2 minutes Edwin remains as well

captivated by the air

show and then suddenly all the objects

were gone within a matter of seconds

he doesn't know what this is he doesn't

know what to

think a drone type object doesn't really

fit into this this story occurred in the

early '70s and at that point in time I'm

not aware of any type of drone that

could have explained

this Edwin notices something up

ahead edn walked over to uh the area

where these things had been

hovering he discovered that the grass

had been laid down and

swirled almost everyone of the areas he

saw was the same size and

diameter if this had been a normal type

of aircraft that we're familiar with any

object capable of doing that would have

probably been rocket propelled or

powered and the grass underneath would

have been charred there was no burn

marks there was nothing other than just

the physical movement that this object

had done to the grass what's interesting

about this case is that it may be the

first example of what would later become

crop circles in most of your crop

circles all of a sudden a farmer wakes

up in the morning and there's this

elaborate intricate crop circle that has

been put into his field and in this this

particular case we have a farmer who

actually observes this unidentified

flying object as the circle is being

created and it was basically a

flattening of the grass but we have to

be careful here because most crop

circles are now thought to be hoaxes and

in this case we have a witness who saw

objects create the swirled patches in

the grass in crop circle cases no such

objects are normally

seen the crop circles become Central to

a follow-up

investigation when the RCMP examined the

site they find no evidence to suggest

that the circles were

man-made 2 days after Edwin fur's

encounter he finds a sixth Circle near

the previous five 2 weeks later a

seventh

appears within weeks no less than 15

circles are reported in seven different

sites in Saskatchewan the RCMP send

their evidence to the Canadian national

research Council who claim that the

circles are likely fairy rings a

circular pattern left behind by plant-

killing

fungus but many experts dismiss that

theory because fairy rings are rarely of

uniform size and while they leave a mark

on vegetation they have never been known

to make clockwise swirling patterns

what the hell is that what's that there

was a communication between craft and uh

yeah Danberry is a small quiet town on

the border of Connecticut and New York

State some 30 km from the Hudson

River the area of Hudson Valley uh

consists of Upstate New York it's a

fairly fluent area very well educated

group of individuals business

professionals that occupy and live in

that area lockoff Homer bottom of the

9th those kids never

quit what the hell is

[Music]

that

airplane Dave Athens saw a series of

multicolored lights very odd kind of

lights in the sky you know

flashing even though we're dealing with

Upstate New York we still have a lot of

air traffic due to the close proximity

of New York

City that area around Hudson Valley is

one of the most heavily traveled air

traffic areas on the

planet no airplane I've ever seen Athens

noticed that the object was speeding up

slowing down hovering at times in an odd

kind of pattern that didn't seem to have

any any sense to it maybe uh must be

some of those prop planes out of the

local airport I don't think so is meth

if planes were causing this they would

have to move at a nice steady speed they

can't hover for example planes can't do

that in addition to what you might say

was a ring of multicolored lights there

were some smaller red lights that were

initially near the center of the craft

but they were moving independently of

this ring as if they were not really

attached to it those aren't just lights

all right all right I'll check it out

the red light appears to have some type

of relationship with the larger object

in a sense that the larger object may be

some type of

Mothership people have come up with the

name Mothership to refer to this large

object that seemed to be carrying with

it these smaller ones and in in this

sense it might match what Athens was

seeing that

night shortly after Athens was observing

this several dozen people came and

joined him because it was such a

distinctive sight in the sky 182 go

ahead uh just checking to see if there's

been any uh reports of an unusual nature

strange happenings at all in the

area so great I don't see what it wasn't

until the object object moved closer

that many witnesses were able to discern

as they described girds or structured

beams that were affixed to these lights

the object was gigantic it was hard to

miss it people wondered you know is this

thing going to come down further and if

it does what's going to

happen this is dangerous to have 300t

objects flying through the air in an

area where there are airliners other

aircrafts what are you doing Dave

I think we should get out of

here oh my God in Danbury Connecticut a

growing crowd Witnesses a bizarre

boomerang-shaped craft hovering less

than 500 m

above the witnesses described an

unsettling feeling that they were being

observed like there was some type of

connection with whatever intelligence

was operating these

objects they felt a slight paranoia a

repressed nervousness you might saybe

mil nothing to worry about folks just

some small planes flying in formation

that's bull and you know

it Dave Athens was having the same

reaction and the same attitude toward

UFOs that happens to almost every

witness that seees something they can't

explain and that is they know it's real

they know they saw something unexplained

and somebody else can't convince them

otherwise especially since this is not

Dave Athens first

encounter is so good hey Len what you do

nice yeah this is a good place to

be in March of the same year he'd had a

visual sighting with his girlfriend uh

in New Salem Connecticut just a few

miles to the

South Oh what a beautiful night m

what's

that in that particular episode a ring

of Lights basically multicolored in

nature approached them and actually

circled around literally in front of

them no really what is

that if a 300t object can creep up on

you you know that's what it

did I don't like that the hell is that

I think because he was an Intrepid

fellow maybe somebody kind of with a

sense of adventure he decided that he

would try to signal to it with his

flashlight what are you doing

Dave he used uh uh combinations of three

flashes

and it flashed back at

him so it appeared to be there was a

communication between craft and uh The

Observer here on the ground I think we

should get out of

here they're back and now Dave Athens is

reliving that strange experience you see

it the second time now you're reinforced

with the idea that it's real you can't

just Slough It Off

some of the onlookers wonder if they're

staring at a top secret military

aircraft if these are top secret

military aircraft why are they lighting

them up like Christmas trees for all to

see second why would you be flying it

over an area which is well known

historically for heavy air traffic it

doesn't make much

sense and then it took off

don't yeah okay folks small planes yeah

I'm sure don't worry about it you can go

copy go ahead 212 uh Chief we got a one

alarm fire on Maple Street it's under

control but there's some strange lights

in the sky the unusual sighting is part

of what some call a UFO

wave in the UFO world when we refer ref

to a wave or flap of sightings it

essentially involves a large volume of

eyewitness reports in a fairly localized

area in this particular case between the

years of 1983 and 1986 over the Hudson

Valley area an estimated 5,000 reports

were documented involving large

unidentified objects we have firemen

police officers city council individuals

Business Leaders CEOs of companies that

have all come forward with their

testimony these are educated

well-trained

individuals whose eyewitness testimony

cannot simply be

dismissed days after the Danbury

incident several security guards report

a UFO sighting at the Indian Point

Nuclear

PowerPlant they call the National Guard

fearing a possible terrorist attack but

the object disappears before it can be

engaged or

identified Skeptics argue that the

lights and even the strange triangular

shapes were created by a group of Cessna

Pilots a few local Pilots do come

forward to admit they were flying at low

altitude in the Hudson Valley on the

nights of the mass

sightings but the size and variation of

speed witnessed during the sightings do

not match with any known

aircraft while the Hudson Valley wave

peaks in

1984 reports continue well into the

1990s

making it the world's longest running

UFO

wave to this

day there is no clear explanation for

the sightings
