are coming via parcels.

People are shipping them.
They're mixing it in with goods.

So we're gonna go check it out,
see what's in there.

Between HSI and CBP,
we've got a really good network.

Half of our cases are generated
from CBP catching things.

of the airport to the cargo side.

It's common for us to see firearms

getting shipped to the Caribbean
and South America.

They are available here.
They are legally purchased firearms

that are then shipped to
South America and the Caribbean.

The cash comes inbound from
the narcos in South America.

The people then
straw purchase weapons for them.

They're not going, you know, to, uh,
law-abiding citizens in these countries.

They're going to bad actors.

that work in the shipping yard,
the owners,

know that we are coming out
and doing our due diligence.

We were hunting around looking at

some freight forwarders and couriers,

and, uh, this did not
look like a proper shipment.

The shipment itself
was declared as speakers.

When we opened up the first box,
we saw a speaker.

No Styrofoam to protect it.

We tried to pick it up
and it was extremely heavy.

And inside the speakers,
we had weapons of all different calibers.

As you can see, these are
high-powered, intense weapons,

which require
special licensing and permits

to be exported out of the United States.

You also have these small caliber guns.

All different Glocks.

We also found magazines.

There's a very clear step-by-step method
how to ship firearms.

People who do it legally
don't break 'em up in pieces

and stuff 'em in speakers

and then ship them off
to foreign countries.

Whether they're criminal organizations,
terrorist organizations, gangs,

these are concealed for a reason

and the people they're going to
don't need to have 'em.

We got 10 semi-automatic versions of AKs.

We had 21 semi-automatic pistols.

All these are civilian legal firearms.

These are commonly bought in gun stores,
uh, across the United States.

They're easier to obtain here.

Obviously, they're not supposed
to go out of the country.

So, again, that's where the problem is.

From here, CBP completes
the seizure on this.

And the investigation on our side,

as far as where the source
of these were from,

and we've gotta find out whether
these were stolen firearms,

whether they were purchased
by one person or multiple people,

and then, ultimately,
where it's going in the Caribbean,

who, who's receiving it.

it could possibly be fatal.

we're properly covered.
