these guys are able to do and

We monitor the scans that go
through the bridge before they

On an eight-hour shift,
one officer can easily scan,

uh, about 600 or 700 cars.

This vehicle that just
came in right now,

there's something
that does stand out.

The vehicle went
through the LEP machine.

There was something there
that shouldn't be there.

Like some type of
narcotic, possibly.

So we brought it back here
to what we call "Area 51."

All they're doing is
systematically going through

the vehicle, trying to see
if they can find any packages

hidden in any compartments,
like the dashboards,

underneath the vehicle,
in the seats.

a hidden bundle.

There's like a speaker in
the center of the dash.

We popped that off and there's
a compartment in the void.

Our X-ray machine, what we
do is we see images pick up

things like organics,
solids, um, metals.

And we are able to look
at different shapes and

be able to determine
if it's a solid shape,

if there's some
abnormalities within those

shapes that we see.

And so we are flagging those
for doing an inspection on.

And a lot of descriptions
of things you've never

security features that would be

on a genuine
document coming through.

To an untrained eye,

this could very
easily fool somebody.

It's an important find because
this is just the first step.

With an illicit narcotic
being intercepted,

you could put a
street value on it.

But with these
counterfeit documents,

the value is limitless.

With a fake document,
somebody that shouldn't be here

can establish a whole new
identity in the United States.

So it's something that
can be used to cause a lot of

harm to a lot of people.

There is absolutely no
legitimate reason for somebody

to have a fraudulent document
shipped to the United States.

So we're gonna secure it,
make sure it's safe.

We'll include our
partner agencies:

Homeland Security
Investigations.

Or the other government
agencies that would have

a vested interest in
who is making these,

how they're being obtained, and
how are they being shipped here.

This kind of activity is
happening all across CBP,

in all of our cargo facilities.

We all work together to try
and prevent American citizens

from being defrauded.

Hopefully there's
another one, at least two.

protect our agriculture.

nest of some insect,

and IRS to determine

that there is an individual,
here in Miami,

who is selling high
quality fraudulent passports.

Let me show you what we have
and then we can talk details.

Interesting case.

Uh, passport fraud, conspiracy
to commit passport fraud.

And the quality of these
passports is very concerning.

Uh, the street value is very
high and my concern is that,

uh, nefarious nation-state
actors might be trying to

purchase these passports.

And aside from the
criminal activity that

goes with a fake passport,

identity theft,
human trafficking,

they could use these to try
to get folks into this country

that pose a threat to
our national security.

HSI's role, on
a case like this,

is to protect the sovereignty
of the United States by not

allowing criminals to
exploit our immigration system

by using fake passports.

We were able to
obtain an arrest warrant

for this gentleman.

And we are actually
preparing right now to execute

this warrant in the
early morning hours.

We are getting ready
right now to go take the

subject into custody
at his residence.

We don't believe
that he's armed.

However, he's
involved with a very,

very serious criminal network.

So we are prepared for
anything and to encounter any

resistance once we do, uh,

approach him and arrest him.

subject's residence.

we're gonna deploy
and make our way on foot

where he will go for
his initial appearance

before a judge.

He was very cooperative with
us and provided information

that's valuable to
the investigation.

The subject is giving up
a bunch of co-conspirators.

One co-conspirator
actually being his mother,

which is a very,
very unique situation.

We received intelligence
that the subject's mother is

actually flying into
the United States,

into Miami
International Airport.

So our agents are gonna
obtain an arrest warrant and

we're gonna conduct an
enforcement operation,

so when she does land,
she'll be arrested.

this gentleman with a penalty.

He did declare the food.

But every time he comes in,
they'll inspect him to make

sure that he's not
becoming a repeat offender

of bringing in these foods.

It's a good catch on our part
and also agriculture's part.

We definitely prevented a lot
of pork from coming into

the US today.

plane that our counterparts at

CBP have targeted.

The co-conspirator
on this case,

which is the main
subject's mother,

is flying into
the United States.

She was involved in
producing these very,

very high quality
fraudulent passports.

And we will be arresting
her now as her flight lands.

facilitates somebody coming

into the United States
and we have no idea to

their true identity.

They could be a terrorist.

They could be a cartel member.

They could be a gang member.

And when they're
coming into the country

with fraudulent documents,

we have no trace
of who they really are.

So today was a pretty
big collaborative effort.

We're thrilled we were able
to take down this much dope

at one time.

It doesn't happen every day
in the rail environment.

This is a lot of crystal meth.

On the scale of it,

having this much
methamphetamine hit the streets,

you're talking about hundreds of
thousands of what, potentially,

could be lethal doses.

So just being able to
protect the community

and keep this, keep
this garbage off the streets,

today was a good
day for us here.
