at the castle that claim
To have been physically touched

by unseen forces
Throughout the location,

with emphasis in the cellar
That used to be the dungeon.

This place is massive,
And it operates as a hotel.

And we have arranged it

So that we do have full access
To the entire location.

She saw a transparent figure

And the apparition
Had gone.

Who this woman may have been?

She was called
The gray lady.

Her name was

She was killed during the war

and as I was coming up

I felt a sting in my arm,

I didn't feel anything
Until we were coming up

And on the way here,
It was stinging.

So I showed brandy,
And when I first showed her,

It was more predominant.

Of the teeth marks.

Clouds crossing over the moon.

It did throw me for a second.

And we heard what sounded like

it led into an empty room.

the window was slightly ajar.
That was causing a draft.

That explains the door.

A place with a lot of stories,

An investigator

That could've touched it,

And something perhaps
Even stranger appears.

We went up to investigate to see
If we could get any responses

It sounds like there's noises

That's outside somewhere.

Several sounds for us

Throughout our time here.

Was during the investigation
With barry

In the back stairwell.

I know I heard chains
Up in the attic,

So I'm really hoping
That that'll come through

We were getting little tidbits
Of stuff coming through

But not enough to carry on

That we could identify
As paranormal phenomenon.

So we're gonna have to pay

We had mounted the 360 mike
On the rig,

So it was pointing up
The direction toward dustin.

There was a strange sound
In the attic.

It sounds like chains.

To the stories.

we used that to base

Starting-off point.

We followed up,
Brought out all our equipment.

So, strange feelings,

Things going on
That you couldn't explain.

We call those
Personal experiences.

Dustin and I were walking
Up the stairs.

As we stop about halfway,

We hear what sounds
Like someone

Starting to walk down
The top of the stairs.

So, obviously, we look up,

Thinking we're gonna see
One of our teammates,

Except there's
No one there.

Come on. Let's go up
To the room above us

And see what we can find
Up there.

Did it just sound like
Somebody was on the
Stairwell above us?

Shh!

So, we think to ourselves,

"Okay, let's see
If we can't re-create this.

We can't accept this
As a ghost."

We were able to find
The exact spot

In which,
When you hit that step,

It makes the same sound
On the top step.

So it turns out
It was just sound carrying.

So, there were a lot of noises
That we heard here

During the investigation.

There was one sound
I want to play for you.

Barry and I were
In the back stairwell,

And I'm gonna play that
For you here now.

and that's what
We thought, too,

especially hearing
The stories

that we were told about people
Hearing that here--

The fact that slaves were buried
Beneath this building.

But we did some further
Investigating.

We went up into the attic,

And there's some open vents
Up there

That do allow for outside sounds
To come in.

And then when we listened
To this again,

You can hear a truck drive by
Right after that chain.

[ clinking lightly]

[ engine revs]

Acoustics really carry
Throughout this whole place.

So, we present this to you

So that when people hear things
Like that,

Perhaps you can kind of
Point it out to them

And help pinpoint where these
Sounds actually coming from.

There's a tragic history
Of what happened here.

And people start to say,
"That place is haunted," right?

And as the stories start going
Around and around,

You get these kind of
Occurrences in which people,

They're putting together
A couple of outside noises

At the same time
And putting it

Into something
That makes sense.

It's called matrixing--
Audio matrixing.

With the acoustics
Of this place,

There were times
Where we would hear something

That sounded like someone
Talking in the room with us.

But when we
Investigated it,

It was actually
An animal outside.

Okay.

Unfortunately,
We were not able

To capture anything
In the video

That would indicate that
These spirits were seen

Where we thought
They might be seen.

I agree. Yeah, I think
That's our opinion-- 100%.

This place is awesome.
