and that final puzzle piece
Was there.

What's that?
Quartz.
Quartz crystal.

Basically,
Everything down there--

It's just littered
With quartz crystal.

Quartz crystal-- you know,

You have to look at it
From the standpoint

Of a quartz battery,
Say, in a watch.

It can hold energies.

They use quartz
In creating computer chips

That actually store information.

So, we have got huge deposits
Of quartz crystal,

Natural iron, salt,
Water, and limestone.

Basically what we have here
Is one giant quartz battery,

Able to store information,
Feelings, in the quartz.

It's being powered by the weak
Electromagnetic field

That's being generated

Into a huge obsession.

Elizabeth would actually bathe
In the blood

Of these young women to keep her
Looking eternally young.

She was eventually convicted
By the courts

And imprisoned in her home
At cachtice castle.

To see what it was.

The area

Where I had seen the light,

But we discovered that it was
Actually ambient light

Coming from the city
And the road beneath us.

well, cachtice castle
Was a long night--

a lot of stuff to cover.

Did take photographs

of carvings that appeared

on the walls and ceilings
Of the tunnels,

Hoping to find
An identifying mark

That would let us know
What these tunnels,

Cellars were actually
Used for.

So we gave them
To dustin.

Those cellars are actually
Listed as catacombs.

At one time, they did belong
To elizabeth bathory,

And they could've been
All the torture

And stuff
Going on down there.

but what was interesting

was that it also was used
By the church

for religious practices

and, more importantly,
To hide people

And to move them
From place to place.

One of the things I found out
Was that one of the reasons

Elizabeth may have actually
Became imprisoned

Was the fact that her husband
Had loaned the king

A lot of money to help finance
The war.

And so, when elizabeth's
Husband dies,

She wants the money back.

The king can't pay for it,

The country
Doesn't have enough funds,

So they catch her
In what she's doing,

Lock her away,
And take her lands from her.

So they basically never
Had to repay the debt.

That's interesting.
That explains how she got away

doing it for 25 years

without any kind
Of repercussion.

and, barry, those photos that
You had some questions about

regarding those symbols--

I found something
Really interesting.

so, how are you?

after we took the tour
With you

and we saw where all
The activity had taken place,

we came in with every piece
Of equipment we had.

the catacombs
Was very interesting

Because, as you mentioned,

That was apparently attached
To the activity, as well.

When we went down
Into the catacombs,

The first thing that we noticed
Was the whole tunnel

Was basically littered
With writing.

Barry took some photos
Of the symbols we discovered

On the walls and gave them
To dustin to research.

What dustin found was that,
At one point,

The catacombs were divided up
And sold to different families.

The symbols are actually
Family crests

Indicating who owns what,
Like this one here.

It kind of looks like a rooster
Or a chicken.

It's actually noted
That a farmer

Had bought part
Of the catacombs.

So it comes to reason

That it may have been the symbol
For that family.

We'd like to actually
Give these to you...

This was actually taken

Which takes photos
In the different light spectrum.

Hopefully, by comparing
The two together,

You might be able to pick out
More important information

In these family crests.
Yeah.

We actually did not recover
Any evidence from the catacombs.

We were able to get
These pictures for you,

Which we hope will keep
Furthering along the research

And help with some of
The mysteries around this area.

I think that in this case
Particularly,

It's a case of people seeing
What they want to see,

And we came up
With nothing.

Sometimes we go
Into a location

And we're just amazed
By the amount of evidence.

Other times, we go in,

And there's just
Absolutely nothing.
