We've been chasing a goal for so long
that I almost don't know what to feel.

We did it. We finally got here.

Given there's a bit on the line,
we've got a massive game this weekend,

a huge finals series
with bigger and better goals.

[dramatic music builds]

is starting to take hold.

Finals football -
these games keep you up at night.

These are the ones
that mean everything looking back.

to play on the last Saturday
in September.

When you've got everything to play for,
you're never out of it.

It's gonna be a tough finals series.
It doesn't take too much to get it wrong.

In a finals game, anything can happen.

You don't get any
favours with the draw

because you
finish first.

You're putting everything on the line

for you to advance into the next week.

I think losers make excuses.
We don't. We're winners.

but from your experience, what wins out -
fairytales or years of hard work?

People will say last year's
run to the premiership

was a fairytale for us at
the Brisbane Lions, and it probably was.

[Hamish] Welcome to the 2024
Toyota AFL Grand Final.

[Brian] So here come the Lions
to win a grand final.

Rayner... has gold!

He's boomeranged it
around the post!

What about this? Brisbane by 60!

[James] And the Lions
have caught lightning in a bottle!

[crowd cheering wildly]

[Dayne] We experienced last year

what it is like to get to
the top of the mountain.

This season,
we had a lot of doubters.

Can we actually duplicate
what we were able to do in 2024?

That's our challenge.

[dramatic music fades]

-[Dayne] Did youse win at school today?
-It was a draw.

-Yeah, what was the score?
-Two-all.

[Dayne] Finals football
is just different.

The intensity of every game lifts

not only physically
but absolutely mentally as well.

Why can I never put the buckle in?

-Alright, you get set up.
-Okay.

If you're not at your absolute best,
you're gonna get beaten.

It's life or death from here on in.

-Your pads good?
-They're good.

-They're good? Get your bat.
-Okay.

So it's nice when you can have
little moments where you have some fun

and get away from the expectations
in the outside world.

Winning against my kids?

Maybe I'm still old-school, but I don't
really believe in participation medals.

I wanted that to hit your head!

[Dayne] When it comes to my son,
I want him to be competitive as well.

Certainly maybe not as competitive
as what I potentially am.

-[heavy rock music]

I really pride myself on
a win-at-all-costs mentality

and that competitiveness has definitely
flipped over the line at times,

which I know that's selfish,
but I want to win as much as possible.

[Brian] Tempers just bubbling, simmering.

And they are going for Zorko.

Dayne Zorko, I think he really feeds
off that competitive part of our game.

[commentator] Jeez, it is on now.

[Jordan Lewis] He's not afraid
to put himself out there.

Deep down, he's got a genuine
hatred for the opposition.

It's really hard to control.

-[crowd roaring]
-[umpire] Hey, hey! Let go!

And Zorko's always
dabbled in the dark arts,

tried to get under their skin,
done whatever it takes.

[Brian] Zorko and everyone
wanting to have a crack there.

[umpire 1] Free kick here.

[commentator] A heavy bump by Zorko.

[James] No surprise
that the Zork involved.

[Dayne] I want to win.
I don't like losing.

My own fan base
probably doesn't like me at times.

He's a fuckin' dog!

I dunno.

I'm okay with it.
I don't mind being the villain.

I do some stuff that
people might not like,

but I've been able to tick off
some pretty wild achievements

that 0.00001% of AFL players
have ever done -

to be the oldest player
to play 300 games this year

at the age of 36
and being a premiership player.

We're now in the position
where we could go back to back

and potentially win two premierships.

Not many teams can do it

and people talk about
just how difficult it is to do.

[crowd cheering]

[Dayne] Going into a qualifying final,

for me and a few of
the other older boys this week,

it's gonna be getting to our teammates
and telling them,

"Nothing's given in this game.
You've gotta earn it."

Ten, nine, eight, seven...

-[player] Psych!
-[Dayne chuckles]

You put everything
you possibly can on the line

to get the result to advance
into the next weeks.

Waiting for Cam to finish,
then we'll do it.

Cam!

Cam! You're kicking the fuckin'
balls away, is what you're doin'!

-[Cam] Settle, mate. This fuckin' bloke.
-A guy out the front, change it up.

I feel like with me,
what you see is what you get.

I pride myself on being
a really bubbly character.

I reckon I play my best footy
if I'm out there smiling, having fun...

and not really taking things too serious.

I just feel like it's given me really
clarity in the way I want to play

and my role for the team,
and it works out wonderful.

[James] Rayner's so dangerous.
Cam Rayner!

[Abbey Holmes] Cam has the ability
to turn a game on its head.

He always manages to pop up
when his team needs him most.

[Hamish] Cam Rayner's done it!

The Lions players erupt!

And he's able to step up to the pressure
placed on his shoulders.

For 2017, pick one,

the Brisbane Lions have selected

Cameron Rayner
from the Western Jets Football Club.

I think anybody who goes pick number one
in an AFL draft has heightened pressure.

[announcer] Cameron Rayner!

You're expected to do remarkable things
as a number-one pick.

[Brian] The man of the moment, Rayner!

Wow!

An expectation like this,
that's challenging for a young player.

[Hamish] Rayner from 55. Bang!

But his trajectory could be
headed towards superstardom.

[crowd cheering]

[Cam] As a kid, I used to idolise
these people that played AFL

and used to think of them as gods

and would do anything to speak to one
or get a photo with one.

And I'm happy to play that role.

The joy I can bring the fans
when I'm playing,

seeing the smile on their faces when
I run out there is... it's pretty cool.

He just needs a point.

A goal would be too much.

[chuckling]

Will they carry him the last five metres
that he needs?!

Obviously, the opportunity
to go back to back is unbelievable.

I'm just really, really confident.

I'd be lying if I say I don't back us in,
that we can do it again.

-[interviewer] Guaranteed to win?
-[laughing] Oh...

How you going? Good? How you going, guys?

These young kids... [inhales deeply]

Yeah, wow, the confidence that they
possess is something to look up to.

Yeah, it's easy to sit here and say,
"Yeah, we're gonna go back to back."

Anyone who knows football
certainly understands,

one, how hard it is to win a premiership,

how hard it is to win two,
if you've done it.

Teams want to knock off
the reigning champion,

so there's always a target on your back.

Playing finals football,
it's even bigger.

We need to mentally be prepared for that
every time we come out onto the field.

Rock, paper, scissors, shoot.

-Bang. Too good.
-Dammit!

If you're not prepared,
we're not gonna be able to win.

[siren blaring]

[Alister Nicholson] There's a real energy
and a buzz in the MCG tonight.

[James] Two of the best teams
we've seen in a long time.

Perfect night. Massive crowd.

[Abbey] When you map out the road
to a premiership,

of course you want to win
the qualifying final.

[Jordan] This is arguably
the most important game to win

'cause if you win,
you go straight into a prelim final.

So you have a week off.

[Abbey] A win
in that first qualifying final

just really sets the tone
for the weeks to come.

[Alister] And so they meet again
in a big final - Geelong and Brisbane.

Geelong, they're an incredible team.
They just play in finals.

[commentator] Got the run of the ball.
Picken after him.

He sprints away from Picken.
Lines up towards Bright!

[Dayne] They play grand finals,
win grand finals.

[commentator] Ablett,
the little genius, drives it home!

[Dayne] They have different modes.

Their ability to shut the game down
in different ways is just impeccable.

[commentator] The Cats
prove themselves as

one of the greatest teams
of the modern era.

I remember watching them
win premierships as a kid.

14 prelims, the powerhouse of the AFL.

[commentator] They are one of
the greatest teams the game's ever seen.

[siren blaring]

Going out in the MCG, it's a very
high-pressure environment to be in.

[James] And we are underway.

[Cam] There's 100,000 people
in the crowd.

That adrenaline you get
and the rush of blood you get...

From the first bounce,
they just made us look second rate.

[James] Zorko.

[commentator] You can't
defend that turnover.

[James] They have got Brisbane
hemmed in here, Geelong.

Jezza Cameron! And he slots it.

Came out and took it
out of our hands right away.

[Alister] So here we go

for the second quarter.

Cats by two goals.

Cam Rayner, who's had a quiet night.

So I had Mark O'Connor stand by my side
everywhere I went for the whole game.

It was tough. It was the first time I had
someone play on me to that extent.

Every time I came off the ground,
he was coming off the ground.

Everywhere I went, he'd come with me.
If I went deeper, he came with me.

Early on, I was trying to get it done
physical, but he's a big man as well.

It was challenging.

[Dayne] Players in opposition
that give you close checking,

you know they really
respect you as a player

and you're really influential
in the game.

So I went to each of the forwards
throughout the week and said,

"They're gonna throw bait at ya.
Do not take the bait. Don't fall for it."

[Cam] I said to the umpire,
"We're 150 metres away from the ball

"and I'm getting punched in the back.

"Watch what's going on behind the play."

[commentator]
They need to roll their sleeves up again.

[Alister] Dangerfield with strength.

It's an avalanche.
Blicavs goes forward again.

-[whistle blows]
-Holding! Marked anyway, Stengle.

A free kick going Brisbane's way.

It looks like it's in the goal square
at the other end of the ground.

[Alister] What's a finals series
without controversy?

In the rules, if you touch someone
in the back when you're 150m away,

they'll pay a free kick, so...

[Dayne] People will hate me
for saying this,

but if the ball's nowhere in your area
and you lay a finger on me

when you're not allowed to,
then I'm probably gonna dive as well.

[Alister] So Rayner a chance
to insert himself in the contest.

[Cam] Kicked the first goal,
then got blindsided by the other side,

and then they called it back again.

[crowd jeering]

-[Alister] Another one!
-[commentator 1] A free kick!

-[Alister] What is going on?!
-[umpire] Walk away! Walk away!

[Cam] The second one...

[Alister] These are scenes we rarely see.

Cam was public enemy number one.

[Alister] Geelong supporters
in the ground and around the country

will be going absolutely ballistic.

[commentator 1] Chaos reigns at the MCG.

[Dayne] Geelong supporters,
they're going off their head.

Yeah, plenty of expletives.

[Alister] Brisbane gifted

two late goals controversially.

Besides those two goals,
I hadn't had much impact on the game.

[Dayne] We couldn't
get a grip on the game.

Their quality and their intensity,
it was a real warning shot

to the rest of the competition
that they mean business.

We were the hunted.

[Touk] Winning against Freo,
pretty historical moment

and put a lot of belief
not only in the playing group,

but the whole of the AFL
of what we're capable of.

I've never felt, like,
that much elation in a game

in my whole entire footy career and life.

[Hamish] Is there a miracle for one of

these two sides in the last seconds?

[dramatic music builds]

And they have won

an almighty elimination final!

[Abbey] It was surprising
and quite shocking to see.

This year not only have they made
their first finals series,

they've also won their first final.

So this could be the year
they take this club to a premiership.

[Touk] We've been really poor
for a long time

and sometimes you can lose sight
of why you play footy.

But that game, it's just...
This is what it's about.

[Damien] It's been a hell of a lot
of hard work on the Gold Coast.

15 years in the making.

A lot of people are finally starting
to see what it might become.

We're really only scratching the surface
of how good we can be.

It's so unbelievable that
we have given ourselves a chance

to play in the Grand Final.

Coast Suns to rewrite the history books.

Brisbane are a huge clash at the Gabba.

Like, you couldn't script it any better.

And we're not gonna lose this game.

I always believed in the club.

Don't get me wrong, there were
some times I questioned where we were at

and what AFL football
actually looked like for the Suns.

My name's Touk Miller
and, uh, "All gas, no brakes."

I think that's probably
how I'd describe my game now.

[commentator] And Touk Miller!

Touk Miller, he'd be up there
as one of the hardest workers

in the game I've ever seen.

[commentator] It's flipped out. Miller.

Gold Coast are in front
for the first time!

[Jordan] Widely praised
for his two-way running...

[upbeat rock music]

...and being able to be
an offensive threat,

but certainly a defensive threat as well.

[Abbey] Touk Miller is such
a driving force for the Gold Coast Suns.

But he is also the most loyal
person in the game.

I'm not going anywhere
and I believe in what we're doing.

[Touk] Salvage, right here.

[coach] Red, white, blue. Boom!

Five, five! Yep.

Ohh!

[Abbey] He was drafted
to the Gold Coast Suns

ahead of the 2011 season

to a club that over a long period of time
hasn't tasted much success.

[TV host] They've been through
a lot of hard yards.

15 years in the competition. They haven't
been relevant for a lot of it.

[Sam McClure] For a long time, Gold Coast
were the laughing stock, really.

They just got belted every week.

[commentator 1] The Suns,
just bitterly disappointing

with the way they've played.

[commentator 2] Talking about
big disappointments, Gold Coast.

[commentator 3] The expectations
were a lot higher than what they've been.

They've completely underperformed.

[Touk] We had a lot of tough times.

We were never good enough.
Always had losing records.

Start well, finish poorly.

We were touted as a team
that couldn't retain players,

had poor culture, bad organisation.

One of the game's most
sought-after free agents, Tom Lynch,

has told the Gold Coast
that he wants to join a Melbourne team.

And the club was pretty quick to react,
stripping him of co-captaincy.

Collingwood
is set to make a major play

to lure Gold Coast captain
Steven May to Melbourne.

And the Suns could be on the verge
of losing both of their captains.

[Touk] They were the leaders of our club.

I'll never forget the pure anger.

It was really disappointing that blokes

leading the club don't want to be there.

[players shouting]

[man 1] Good!

-[man 2] Shoulders!
-Here!

[Touk] When they draft you,

I've always thought
there's an expectation

that you give your all to them

so you gotta do your best to make sure
that they get to where they want to go.

Yeah, Sammy, Sammy, Sammy!

[Touk] I like to think a lot of people,
when they think about me leading,

it's, you know,
my professionalism, how I train.

I love the responsibility of galvanising
the boys to achieve something.

[Damien] Good, Touky.

[Touk] Then the opportunity came
to become co-captain.

That was a lifelong childhood dream.

Pretty special and definitely

a massive highlight in my career.

[Damien] Okay, once again,
I say it all the time,

these sessions are
all about intensity, okay?

They're never gonna be perfect.
It's all about embracing imperfection.

All we needed to tick off
was our intensity and our contest.

We got both. Okay?

We understand the challenge ahead,
but let's look forward to it.

-What must we always bring?

[Touk] And I think we've now got
a coach and a game plan

that brings it all together.

It's with great pleasure that I announce

Damien Hardwick as the senior coach.

In Damien, we have someone
with an incredible track record,

but more importantly,
with the determination and the ambition

to take this club
on to its first success.

I'm very much looking forward
to coaching the young men

and taking us where we need to go,

and that's to raise
our first premiership cup,

which I'm pretty sure will be
in the not-too-distant future.

[Abbey] Damien Hardwick
arrived at the Suns

as a three-time premiership-winning coach
at the Richmond footy club.

[Caroline Wilson]
Three flags in four years.

Not only did Damien Hardwick
coach Richmond to premierships,

but he lifted that club
out of the doldrums.

He will absolutely be listed as an icon.

[Sam] This guy comes with
not just a gravitas,

but a record of winning
big finals consistently

and taking teams to premierships.

He sets very high standards
and he expects them to be followed.

There is nobody better positioned
to take this club to a premiership.

[indistinct chatter]

[Damien] What I've learned over my tenure
is the game is more than X's and O's.

It's connection.
It's confidence. It's belief.

It's the ability for you
to get the very best out of people

to achieve the impossible.

Little bit of this week's inspo.
Anyone know who this logo represents?

Kingy, you're a man
of sporting knowledge.

-[Ben King] The Dallas Cowboys.
-[Damien] Well done, King. Well done.

Dallas Cowboys. I'm gonna
take you back to, uh, the early '90s.

Dallas Cowboys were a special team

not only on the field,
but also off the field.

There's a reason
they won two Super Bowls.

[Touk] I think Dimma, he's a storyteller
and he uses other sports

and he tries to pull out things
that are relevant in their team

and their dynamics
and kind of instil that in us.

[Damien] The Dallas Cowboys employed
a coach by the name of Jimmy Johnson.

Now, he had...

In one of his first training camps,

the young running back, um, started
to have an asthma attack on the field,

so he lied down sort of thing.

Jimmy Johnson cut him on the spot.

"I don't do asthma,"
was his exact comment.

He was a little bit of a hard-arse coach.

[players laugh, exclaim]

So times have changed
a little bit, but...

Our guys have got to understand that
there's no reason we can't win it all.

The only thing
that's gonna stop us is us.

What they did do, though,
is they developed an identity piece,

the importance of that
and what that looked like.

Very similar to us.

I probably tend to tell people
what they can become

and ask them to rise to that level.

The role of the underdog
is very, very important.

It gives us an enormous opportunity
to ply our craft,

but more importantly,
to get the result we're after.

There's no better place to be.

Our guys have got to understand that

we are more than capable
of beating any side out there.

The two things we've worked on,
grit and connection,

they're the difference-makers
of this organisation.

This side is built for fuckin' finals.
Understand that.

The challenge is we've just
got to get out of our own way

and give ourselves permission to win.

Let's make sure we embrace
the role of the underdog.

More importantly, I can't wait to see you
guys rip a fuckin' good opponent apart.

Let's get it done. Let's go.

That last week,
it's a lot to hear - I don't know -

maybe 80,000 people boo your son.

One of the biggest talking points was
the controversy on Cameron Rayner.

-[Tony Jones] Was it staging?
-Absolutely.

This was disgraceful.

Every sports story in Australia

or newspaper or radio
was talking about it.

But then the posts and Instagram messages

were pretty disgusting.

Rayner was trying to get to
Olympics for the diving team.

-Should play soccer instead of football.
-Rayner, you're a flog!

[bleep] you, Cam Rayner!

You know, as a mum,
it breaks your heart that someone

could say something about you,
and we know that it's not true.

Our only concern
is that you're doing okay.

After the Geelong game,
the media was always gonna talk.

They were always gonna try and make up
stories and blow things out of the water.

The media used to frustrate me a bit
when I was younger.

It can consume you
and you start believing

what people are saying from the outside
and you start doubting yourself.

The thing I worry about the most

is what people think about me
at the club and inside the four walls.

If I'm doing everything they ask of me,
that's really all that matters for me.

Got another game coming up.

The main thing is try and keep my mindset
really, really steady and really even.

The intensity of the finals
is unbelievable

and the mindset's
the most important thing.

[tense music builds]

Coming from where you were
to where it is now is just...

I am just so proud of you.

Of course, cheers for my son -

You know?

You know, one thing that puzzled me is
how come you don't have cheerleaders?

You know, a couple of cheerleaders,
"Yeah, fellas!"

I just think they should've added them.

[both laugh]

[Touk] My dad's, yeah,
he's a unique character.

He's a proud Suns supporter

and if you're within shouting distance,
you'll... [chuckles] you'll hear him.

You always talk about the belief.

You send me messages all the time,
"You just gotta believe."

Dimma, he believes in us.

I think that's how much belief,
um, we need as a team.

Well, he's been there three times.
He's gotten the cup.

-He knows.
-So he knows what it takes to do it.

[Touk] I'm blessed
he came to our football club

'cause he definitely put us
in the right direction.

It was a moment that was probably
bittersweet, I think, for myself.

He knows what he wants,
what he's chasing and what it looks like,

so I think the hardest thing was adapting
to where I was gonna fit into that.

When Dimma first started,
I'm sitting there, going,

"This is my time.
I can take on solo captaincy.

"I think I'm ready to do that."

And then last year,
I sat in Dimma's office with Wayne

and they told me that they were
gonna go in a different direction

with Noah as a solo captain.

That was a hard...
that was a hard pill to swallow.

It... it definitely hurt. [inhales]

Yeah, it was brutal.

-It was, like, pretty empty, like...
-Mmm.

Empty feeling.

I was really with you in that pain.

Not gonna lie. It was hard.
I was disappointed.

And I was like, "There's just no way."

Like, I thought I'd been

dedicated to the Suns for so long

and been humble, been loyal...

But, yeah, I mean, wasn't meant to be.

I had to make sure I got my head
around how to execute,

like, my role for him and the team
as best as I could.

But I think that's the beauty
of playing in a team,

is that you do anything
for the team and, like,

we're starting to see results.

So when you start seeing results
in what you do,

it makes it a hell of a lot easier, so...

It was a tough pill to swallow.

It took a bit of time to process,

but I think whether
I'm the captain or not the captain,

I know that I'm an asset for this club
and help us win games of footy.

And we're in this position
that we've never been in before.

To be versing Brisbane this week,
in a semifinal,

with an opportunity to, you know,
send them home,

yeah, I think that we're ready
to deliver on that.

[Wylie] It's time for the tables to turn

[Touk] Yeah, absolutely.

[Dayne] I think I've played, like,
28 times in the QClash now.

Given the circumstances of where
both teams are at at the moment,

it's the biggest QClash ever.

A QClash is the game between the
Gold Coast Suns and the Brisbane Lions

and it's the rivalry that gets stronger
and stronger every single year.

It's always been a tough contest
in the past,

but these teams have genuinely
something on the line

so that adds a little bit
more to it as well.

They're a team that's on the improve

and we're a team that's obviously...
we want to go back to back.

Tempers flare on the field and then there
was a rivalry between me and Touk.

And that... It was obviously spicy.

[commentator] Miller.

[Sam] There are two teams in Queensland -

the Brisbane Lions
and the Gold Coast Suns.

They've been our nemesis
for a bit, Brisbane.

I don't think they enjoyed
the Gold Coast Suns starting up.

They would've preferred to have
owned Queensland themselves.

[commentator 1] The Queensland rivalry
in full flight as we head to the break.

[commentator 2] Oh, jeez, it is on now.

[commentator 3] Eat... my... dust!

There's hatred in this rivalry.

And most of the time, it's been
the Brisbane Lions as the big brother

bullying the Gold Coast Suns.

And it's spilling over in QClash 16.

[commentator 3] Miller, Zorko,
they've got some history.

Every time you talk QClash,
you probably talk about Miller and Zorko.

Yeah, we've got into each other
and created a headline or two.

I think when things get interesting
is when we start to get on top

or start to get in his head a little bit.

That's when things get pretty fiery.

[commentator 3] Outstanding smother!
Touk Miller, body on the line!

[Touk] That was always my tactic,
is I knew he had a short fuse

so how quickly can I get under his skin?

And... a few times I did.

[commentator 2] They are just going at it
every second of the game.

There's no downtime.

He obviously absolutely
towelled me up one game.

I just didn't shake his hand
after the game.

In the heat of the moment, I was just so
angry that he did such a good job on me.

The media kinda caught the vision of that
and it blew up

and probably created this, like, stir of
hatred between Brisbane and Gold Coast.

And it turned into a few WWE matches
and some wrestling.

[commentator 3]
It's just starting to sizzle.

Didn't shake his hand the first time
and that's what escalates it

and the next time he tags me and...

The same thing kinda happened,
but they won.

[commentator 1] Dayne Zorko
wants a bit of revenge.

[Touk] Zorko made a pretty obvious point
he wanted to come shake my hand.

[Dayne] I think I said he had bad breath
one day when we were winning

and then last year
I think he grabbed my nuts.

He just fucking grabbed my nuts!

[commentator 3]
Oh, there was an accusation!

He tackled me and didn't let go
for couple of seconds,

which was uncomfortable.

[commentator 3]
So that little battle continues.

[dramatic music fades]

[Dayne] Gold Coast,
they'd absolutely destroyed us

six weeks earlier down on the Gold Coast.

Like, absolutely made us look rubbish.

[indistinct chatter]

-[man] Right in the muscle.
-Ahh!

[man] Give it time...

[coach] I don't have
to motivate with Zorks

'cause, uh, this is the biggest
QClash there's ever been.

Comin', chief!

I went in to Fages and said,
"I want the role on Touk.

"I can shut him down and then
hopefully I can hurt him offensively.

"If I don't, well,
at least I know I'm gonna

"be diligent enough
to get this role done."

He goes, "Well, if you want that job,
you can have it."

In all my interviews
throughout the whole week,

I was like, "Nah, we don't
play on each other anymore."

But I knew I was playing on him. [laughs]

This is the match-up
we've been waiting for.

-Zorko on Miller.
-[Touk] You know what's fucked?

All week I've... I keep saying,
"I won't play on him."

And then I was like, "Probably
the whole day I'll be on him."

Well, we'll shake hands and see ya later,
but... one of the two.

QClash. Saturday night up in Brisbane.

[Dayne] After a really big loss
to Geelong in the qualifying final,

we were the hunted
and we weren't ready for that.

For us, it's about flipping
that script a little bit

and, "No, we're gonna go out there
and we're gonna hunt today."

We can't lose. If you lose, you're out.

[Cam] The pressure of
coming off a game like Geelong

made me want to get out there again
because once that pressure's on you,

like, you got nowhere to go, you can
only try and push back through it.

So being able to switch
my mindset to going, like,

"Here's an opportunity for me
to take control of this game."

[Sam] This is the biggest game that
football in Queensland has ever seen.

This is what they dreamed of.

They wanted big finals in Queensland

between two clubs.

ever played in this state of AFL footy.

[Dayne] QClash, in a final,
at the Gabba...

We want to be the number-one team
in Queensland.

We just can't get knocked out
against the Gold Coast.

We need to play our absolute best.

anticipation at a packed Gabba.

[Kane Cornes] Two teams
that have a long history

where they don't particularly
like each other.

[Dayne] Some of our best wins
have come off losses this year.

Every time this year
Cam had a really bad performance,

the following week
he's been able to really make amends.

[player] They're gonna come right at us.
How we fuckin' respond is up to us.

Secure the ball, fuckin' put pressure on.

We hunt them. They're worried about us.

I feel like if we can knock them off,

we'd be making
a serious statement in the AFL world.
