The 6th 'C'-grader of School 20 Kolya Gerasimov

finds a time machine in the basement of an abandoned house

and, without asking anyone's permission, goes in it to the future.

He is transferred to the late 21st century,

where he meets a humane robot, Verter,

who lets Kolya make a trip to a spaceport.

At the spaceport,

Kolya sees how the space pirates Joker Y and Krys,

who have arrived on Earth to obtain a unique device

for reading thoughts, the Mielophone,

steal it from Alice Seleznyova.

Kolya hurries to help Alice

and manages to intercept the Mielophone.

The pirates chase him.

And only the robot Verter's help

allows Kolya to return to our time and save the Mielophone.

Although Verter himself dies.

Following Kolya, the pirates also get into our time.

As well as Alice.

Alice meets Kolya's classmate Yulia Gribkova

and finds herself in 6th 'C' class.

But the trouble is

that there're three Kolyas in the class.

The girls don't know which of them is hiding the Mielophone.

His attempt to send the Mielophone to the future fails

At last, Kolya decides to give Alice the Mielophone.

But that very day the pirates penetrate the school.

To save Alice and the Mielophone,

Kolya decides to divert the pirates' attention to himself.

The pirates chase him.

And Alice chases the pirates.

Then Yulia Gribkova

tells her friends about everything,

and they all hurry to help the girl from the future.

They don't know

that Kolya fell into the pirates' clutches

and that the pirates are about to torture him

to worm out the secret of the Mielophone.
