Who would have ever imagined

that a 6th 'C'-grader of School 20, Kolya Gerasimov,

upon finding a time machine in the basement of an abandoned house,

would go into the future in it,

without asking anyone's permission.

But this did happen.

ln the late 21st century, Kolya meets a robot, Verter,

who, out of pity for the transgressor,

allows him to go to the spaceport.

At the spaceport, Kolya tries to sneak onboard a spaceship

to fly to Mars.

But he fails.

However, he witnesses

how the space pirates arriving on the Earth

in search of a unique device for reading thoughts, the Mielophone,

steal it from Alice Seleznyova.

Kolya hurries to help Alice.

And he manages to get hold of the Mielophone.

The pirates are chasing Kolya at his heels.

Where should he go?

Only to the lnstitute of Time,

where Kolya's true friend, the robot Verter, is waiting for him.

Verter manages to send Kolya back to our time,

but he himself dies in an unequal fight with the pirates.

And so, finding themselves in Moscow of our time

are Kolya, who has hidden the Mielophone,

two space pirates,

who would stop at nothing to get the Mielophone,

Alice, who is looking for the Mielophone and Kolya.

Unaccustomed to our street traffic, Alice gets in an accident.

She ends up in a hospital,

in the same ward with Yulia Gribkova,

who, by a lucky coincidence, studies in the same class with Kolya.

Yulia promises to help the girl from the future.

The space pirates don't know who got the Mielophone,

and, having tracked down Alice, they find their way to the hospital,

assuming the appearance of medical personnel.

But Yulia and Alice expose the pirates' plot.

However, to remain in the hospital any longer is dangerous for them.

At dawn, the girls make an escape.

ln the meantime, Kolya tells his cautious friend,

Fima Korolyov, about everything.

And the latter persuades Kolya to lie low.

Alice has a problem to solve:

which of the three Kolyas in 6th 'C' class has the Mielophone?

The same problem worries the pirates.
