I spent six winters with the hill folk of the Hawk Fane.

In time, I began to sense a purpose at work in my presence among them.

Does Pandaren still reign in Maridunum?

King Pandaren joined his fathers many years ago, Hawk.

Oh, looking up there in your heart, do you not know that men mark their years

differently?

Fisher King's sword.

Your sword.

They say Merlin slew 70 men with his own hands.

When the Arwen falls upon him, he is given strength from heaven.

Whatever the future may hold, I cannot take up that sword again.

You return, Lord, because then we'll kill you.

50 years, and never once a word.

We do not forget who we are, or what has been done to us.

Do you know what the punishment was in Atlantis for betraying a king?

And save him! Like you could have saved her!

Show me you could have saved her!

Athanasius, get in with us.

Go in a faintness that the child has passed.

She'll bear again.

She is having more.

She is beyond our healing.

If you would have called upon us sooner.

Do your magic.

I'm surprised to see the standard of Magnus Maximus discarded so lightly.

Not as lightly as they discarded his head.

The fool had himself declared emperor and marched on Rome.

Maximus is dead.

Along with the last of the legions.

What is this?

You killed her. She was bound for death.

I will have my gold and your flapping tongue.

I'll kill you.

Where have you come from?

The hills to the north.

I know of no settlements in those hills.

That's the way they prefer it.

They?

The Banshee.

Hill folk?

I lived with a hawk fang these last six years.

They're a secretive people.

How is it that you came to be with them?

In truth, I'm not sure of the answer myself.

Will you not tell me your name?

If I'm not to know the cryptic tale of your time with the hill folk, then

not to know my name.

After a hunt, I'm accustomed to a swim.

You could do with a bath as well.

I had to go out late.

I suppose you'll land across by the fire on a pallet in the stable for your good

deed.

You'd better come with me, wolf boy.

A mighty tailed princess.

Welcome to my father's house, wolf boy.

Come sit here in pride.

Any man who turns against his own

is as much an enemy to us as the sea wolf who comes in his war boat or

the Saxon and his army.

Is this not true, Lothar?

How did you come to wear that gold upon your arm?

It's sort of a gift. A gift?

Oh, yes.

That is true enough. A gift from the Irish and the Saxons.

The same who even now lie encamped within our borders, planning another

Let us go from here. It does not concern us.

You bargained with those who seek our death.

Your greed has weakened us all.

I gave them nothing.

You gave them shelter where they should find none.

Babes.

Sleep tonight without their mothers.

Wives.

Weep for their husbands.

Our timbers smoulder.

And ashes grow cold where once our fires burned.

People under my care.

Lie in death's dark hole tonight.

Because of you?

Lothar.

I say you shall join them.

I beg you, my lord.

Spare me.

This is what your gold has brought you, daughter.

Was it worth it?

Blood for blood.

It is the only way for a king.

Daughter!

I thought you were meant to be hunting.

I was?

And I see you've brought your quarry back.

Alive. Father, he helped me.

I wasn't aware there were fair folk this far north.

What might a savage like you know of the fair folk?

Savior of Atlantis.

Our ships were... They were separated by the storm.

Two ships landed in Leoness.

King Avalac and his brother, King Belin.

They assumed they were the only ones as well.

Two. Two ships.

Then this is a day for feasting and revelry.

We must send word to our brothers in Leoness. What a glad reunion awaits us.

Belin still dwells there.

My mother and King Avalac dwell in the Summerlands with my father's father,

Alphen.

Royalty on both sides, eh?

Good enough.

I am Kostenin, king of Gothay and Kelithon.

You've met my daughter, Ganyeda.

Ganyeda?

You must stay with us this night, son of Carys.

I am eager to return home.

But the sun will soon set and...

Darkness makes for treacherous travel.

My hill pony is sure fitted.

Yet by now he will have been washed and sold.

You would not deprive him of a good night's rest.

Well, settle then.

You'll stay with us this night.

It is a shameful business.

Forgive me, lad.

It could not be helped.

Yenieda, make sure the son of Charis wants for nothing while he's under my

My father likes you, Wolf Boy.

You are welcome here.

Am I?

I've said so, have I not?

Is that from your home?

It was a gift from a wise woman of the Hawkvein.

As was this, I imagine.

His eyes.

Wolf's eyes.

Hawk's eyes.

I've never seen eyes like that in a man before.

I find myself endlessly curious about you, Mervyn.

And yet you do not reveal your secrets.

You need only ask.

I will call to have a bath drawn for you.

You need one.

Cool.

Howdy, lad.

Is it true that you spent these last years among the hill folk?

I was taken as a child.

Well, surely a canny lad such as you must have found plenty of chances to

escape.

Oh, escape was there if I wanted it.

But I began to believe I had a purpose among them.

What purpose was that, then?

I do not know.

He will not stay, Father. He is as secretive as the Banshee.

So, are you now to return to your people in Innis Avalach?

That is my intention.

The weather's going to break any day now.

The frost will catch you up.

All the more reason to go quickly.

You're likely to find your death at the end of the sea or spear.

You'll have to catch me first.

You're really so invincible, Wolf Boy. Look, if he wants to go, he wants to go.

Yet, sir, I would ask you to winter here with us.

Continue your journey after the frost melts.

Then I can send a proper emissary with you to, you know, parley with our

brothers in the south.

I thank you for your offer, Lord Castanet.

I will consider it.

Okay.

Surely this cannot be the great huntress, slayer of Lord Bore of

His footsteps I heard coming from a great distance.

Where did the king intend to ride today?

Discussed him for him to meet with his chiefs.

What will you do?

I thought I could find something I might use to paint to make this a proper

home.

This is not the life I promised you.

That is not what I meant.

I do not need riches to be happy husbands.

You bring me more joy than gold ever could.

But... I will not live on berries and fish and a mud hut with you forever. So,

ride out and win me a kingdom.

Of course, milady.

Perhaps, if, You mean to suggest that I stay behind.

I would save you the trouble.

I would never do such a thing, Maud.

Be grateful, Merlin, that you will not bear these trivial pains as I do.

It is true that fair folk live long lives.

But we are not immortal.

You forget that I knew your father.

I am yet convinced that he was not of this world.

You have his presence.

How fares the fisher, King?

David is reading to him from one of the holy texts that he brought with him from

Rome.

My mother says it sues my grandfather greatly.

The grandson of King Abel actually not dwell in a hovel with his fair folk.

You and yours ought to be under my roof.

We desire to make our own way.

A noble thought, and that we shall.

I have no doubt that you will fare far better than me, Mervyn.

Already you have a wife and the promise of heirs.

There's no greater blessing to leave behind a legacy of both justice and

righteousness.

You continue to confound me, boy.

Heaven! Do you see this?

Falling away.

And the Romans were here, but the men will handle this world. Ah, if the

have gone, perhaps we can convince them to return.

Thank you.

Mervyn.

Mervyn.

Mervyn!

There are no words to describe what has happened

today, Mervyn.

None, but to say thank you for saving my life and for saving Mary Dunham.

Lord, no.

The honor is yours.

Let be.

Warriors have chosen this day whom they will follow.

My people, look upon the one you honor.

You have made him your battle chief, and this day I make him my

son.

Merlin Ap Taliesin, will you accept the honor of sonship and

become heir to my lands and possessions?

If you have accepted me, so I will accept you.

If I

had known all I needed to do was ask, I would have asked you to win me a kingdom

long ago.

You can follow a dream, even a true and beautiful dream.

But they will follow a man with a dream.

So give them a man.

To be the only farra.

Farra from thousand old tear, hundred lean.

Has your horse already bested you, steward?

The mare has simply decided to play coy, my lord.

I admire her spirit.

I hate to send you north with such few men.

It is too early for raiders, and the road is well travelled.

You could wait a few more weeks for warmer weather.

A few more weeks and I won't be able to sit a horse.

Are my plans that obvious?

We will hold the peace until you return.

Bring us home a prince.

This is not unlike the glade where we met.

Do you remember?

Terror turned to awe in a moment.

Terror?

Of course.

Of me?

Laugh it.

Of the ball.

What?

What do you see?

They are the Wolf Fane.

They came seeking Kentigan.

You?

They bring news from my people of the Hawk Fane.

Our gun has fallen ill and will soon return to the mother.

Are they worthy of our trust?

More so than any people on the island of the mighty.

Then I will ride with you in case you have need of arms.

I admire your loyalty, Pellius.

I do apologize for this delay.

You're a man of many tribes, Mother Wilt.

Many obligations.

You are my first obligation.

And thou, child.

Then do not tarry long.

I will meet you in two days' time at the stream where I first laid eyes on you.

At the stream.

So, since this... ...defends... ...in us...

...so... ...let us...

...let us... ...let us... ...let us...

...let us... ...let us... ...let

us...

As since us was in wishes.

Wishless in we're fell in.

What shall

fell more say?

Cinebus.

Son.

Here's a watch.

Still at the mills.

First day.

What's she?

Well, she left me.

Here's a watch.

Where and where

filleth where?

Where and where filleth where?

and difference.

Fearless.

Yes.

Amen. Amen.

Amen. Amen.

. .

.

Exactly.

you

No, murder!

No, murder!

over the top of it

Tomorrow, we make war.

I think it's a desperate plan and foolish.

I would save my people from destruction.

So should you.

This new fave is glad of his judgment.

He's waiting on a miracle.

And why do you tell me this?

Because I think you can give him one.

If I lead you into victory, Uther, the men of Britain will proclaim me.

King. He seeks our deliverance from God when he could so easily just give it to

us with his own hands.

Not long ago you offered me the Fisher King sword.

I've always believed you were meant to be, High King.

How many lives must be lost before you accept the power you were born to wield?

For Britain!

How are we to drive out 15 ,000 taxis with only 2 ,500 men?

Today, Britain dies!
