(OPENING THEME MUSIC PLAYING)

SECRETARY ROSS: You got some nerve. I'll give you that.

You could use some of that right now.

(SOMBER MUSIC PLAYING)

Thanos is not gonna stop until he gets Vision's Stone.

Then we have to protect it.

(GRUNTS)

THOR: No!

I used to have nothing.

And then I got this job.

This family.

And even though they're gone, I'm still trying to be better.

Don't give me hope.

I'm sorry I couldn't give it to you sooner.

RED SKULL: What you seek lies in front of you.

As does what you fear.

NATASHA: Last five years, I've been trying to do one thing.

Get to right here.

Bringing everybody back.

No, don't you get all decent on me now.

(BOTH GRUNTING)

(NATASHA GRUNTS)

(BARTON GRUNTS)

It's okay.

Please.

No!

Do we know if she had family?

Yeah.

Us.

(ENTHRALLING INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PLAYING)

-STARK: What's your name? -Natalie Rushman.

Front and center.

-Can you give her a lesson? -No problem.

Rule number one, never take your eye off your opponent.

(HOGAN GRUNTING)

-Oh, my God! -Oh!

FURY: I want you to meet Agent Romanoff.

(MAN GRUNTS)

I'm a S.H.I.E.L.D. shadow. I was tasked to you by Director Fury.

(WOMAN SCREAMS)

You're a triple imposter. I've never seen anything like you.

(BOTH GRUNTING)

(OMINOUS MUSIC PLAYING)

Sir, please put down the spear.

(GRUNTS)

Barton's been compromised.

There's not many people who can sneak up on me.

I wanna know what you've done to Agent Barton.

LOKI: Is this love, Agent Romanoff?

Love is for children. I owe him a debt.

Tell me.

Before I worked for S.H.I.E.L.D, I made a name for myself.

I have a very specific skill set.

I didn't care who I used it for, or on.

I got on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s radar in a bad way.

Agent Barton was sent to kill me.

He made a different call.

And what will you do if I vow to spare him?

-Not let you out. -No, but I like this.

Your world in the balance, and you bargain for one man.

I got red in my ledger, I'd like to wipe it out.

Can you wipe out that much red?

Dreykov's daughter,

São Paulo,

the hospital fire?

Your ledger is dripping.

It's gushing red

and you think saving a man no more virtuous than yourself

will change anything?

This is the basest sentimentality.

This is a child at prayer.

Pathetic!

You lie and kill

in the service of liars and killers.

You pretend to be separate, to have your own code,

something that makes up for the horrors.

But they are part of you.

-And they will never go away. -(BANGS)

I won't touch Barton, not until I make him kill you.

Slowly, intimately,

-in every way he knows you fear. -(ENTHRALLING MUSIC PLAYING)

LOKI: And then he'll wake just long enough to see his good work

and when he screams, I'll split his skull.

This is my bargain, you mewling quim.

(NATASHA SOBBING)

You're a monster.

(CHUCKLES)

Oh, no.

You brought the monster.

So, Banner.

That's your play.

What?

NATASHA: Loki means to unleash the Hulk.

Keep Banner in the lab. I'm on my way. Send Thor as well.

Thank you for your cooperation.

(ENTHRALLING INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PLAYING)

BARTON: Have you ever had someone take your brain and play?

-Again -You'll break them.

WOMAN: Only the breakable ones.

Do you know what it's like to be unmade?

NATASHA: You know that I do.

BARTON: You're a spy, not a soldier.

Now you want to wade into a war. Why?

We got to stop him.

(ROARS)

(GRUNTS)

(SCREAMS)

Just like Budapest again.

You and I remember Budapest very differently.

-Are you sure about this? -Yeah. It's gonna be fun.

(GRUNTS)

Turn, turn.

Less! Less!

(CRACKLING)

(WARBLES)

(SOMBER INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PLAYING)

(GRUNTING)

-Where is it? -Safe.

-Do better. -Where did you get it?

Why would I tell you?

NATASHA: Fury gave it to you. Why?

-STEVE: What's on it? -I don't know.

Stop lying.

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

I bet you knew Fury hired the pirates, didn't you?

It makes sense. The ship was dirty, Fury needed a way in, so do you.

I'm not gonna ask you again.

I know who killed Fury.

(SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC PLAYING)

PIERCE: Society's at a tipping point between order and chaos.

Tomorrow morning, we're gonna give it a push.

(BOTH GRUNTING)

NATASHA: I owe you.

STEVE: It's okay.

NATASHA: If it was the other way around,

and it was down to me to save your life, now you be honest with me,

would you trust me to do it?

I would now.

(ENTHRALLING INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PLAYING)

Did I step on your moment?

(DRAMATIC MUSIC PLAYING)

Agent, you should know that there are some on this committee

who feel, given your service record, both for this country and against it,

that you belong in a penitentiary.

You're not going to put me in a prison.

(INDISTINCT CHATTER)

NATASHA: You're not going to put any of us in a prison.

Because you need us.

Yes, the world is a vulnerable place, and yes, we help make it that way.

(GRUNTS)

NATASHA: But we're also the ones best qualified to defend it.

So, if you want to arrest me, arrest me. You'll know where to find me.

(SOMBER INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PLAYING)

How long before you trust me?

It's not you I don't trust.

SECRETARY ROSS: The Sokovia Accords.

NATASHA: Just because it's the path of least resistance

doesn't mean it's the wrong path.

I'm sorry, Nat.

I can't sign it.

NATASHA: Steve...

you know what's about to happen.

Do you really wanna punch your way out of this one?

(GRUNTS)

-We're still friends, right? -Depends on how hard you hit me.

(GRUNTING)

NATASHA: I said I'd help you find him, not catch him.

There's a difference.

You let them go, Nat.

We played this wrong.

"We"?

Boy, it must be hard to shake the whole double agent thing.

It sticks in the DNA.

Are you incapable of letting go of your ego

for one goddamn second?

(SMACKS LIPS)

T'Challa told Ross what you did, so...

they're coming for you.

(ENTHRALLING INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PLAYING)

NATASHA: I've lived a lot of lives.

But I'm done running from my past.
