Amy thank you for your letter rain

wagged his tail and was really glad to

get your

picture he's fine fine and thanks to him

I'm fine

too he not only saved my life today but

everyone in our

platoon rain sure earned a

treat but was sorry to say

[Music]

h

stay don't you ever challenge me in

front of my men again yeah I know the

captain told you to do what you think is

right but there's one man in command

here this is the last day you disobey

orders I was just giving you my input

sir if I want your opinion you'll hear

me ask for it the last dog we had

screwed up Mr Minefield and four guys

died four guys that's not going to

happen again they're not perfect

lieutenant

no not even when they're

experienced yeah I checked up on you

your

rookies they send us up to asaw to take

on Charlie with a dog that's not even

battle tested yet today was nothing

Holland compared to what we are facing

and I am not going to trust the lives of

my men to a dog that is brand new you

follow

orders yes

sir I shot that last dog

just so you

[Music]

[Music]

know

[Music]

keep your lines of fire ain't no walk in

the

park what's he wear that harness for his

Scout harness yeah put it on him he

knows it's time for work hey we need to

get one of those for you Junior ha how'd

you get pad up with that Pooch anyway

dogs used to follow me home when I was a

kid and I guess the Army thought it

qualified me to be a train women used to

follow me home all the time Army never

gave me one a train so wait I mean how

does he know us from Charlie he smells

they eat this nasty smelling fish sauce

awful stuff what about the mine

yesterday in the trip wire he hears him

it's all his senses get out of here yeah

this hearing is 20 times more powerful

than ours and his s the smells 40 times

I got twoo much at home man I wouldn't

trust my life to either one of them man

you don't trust anyone hey I trust

myself right that dog ain't going to do

nothing against somebody who knows how

to use a gun and if you know how to

protect yourself ain't no dog going to

mess with you man and you know I'm right

H what I know is that the VC want to

kill him a whole lot more than they want

to kill you and believe me Jordan if he

went for you you wouldn't have time to

pick your nose before he' rip it off you

dog's fast I'll vouch for that may even

save you're sorry but Jordan yeah

maybe and maybe he can get us all

killed but you know what I've been out

here longer than all you little

babies trust yourself and you might make

it home in one piece if not let me be

the one who lives whatever Jordan come

on let

go it

up a bad attitude some

shut up

man he got something the lieutenant it's

a strong alert I wouldn't

cross I don't see anything Holland it's

a very strong

they say I'm going to be in one of those

chairs yeah I'm sorry to hear that ain't

nothing for you to be sorry about you

didn't put me

[Music]

there it's just a bad

deal

yeah now they say it's better than

of him again look right now we just need

to focus on finding

him wait ke lives with his aunt right

maybe she knows

something what about his friends ask

about his

friends do ask about his

father ch

ch she says his father's

dead that liar no it's not key I don't

believe it believe it Abby he's fooled

me he's a con artist and God knows what

else and now he's got my dog all right

what do we do I got to find

him oh my God it's

rain

get you guys trying to steal my dog

brain's missing our guy took off with

him Vietnamese guy

yeah

I think you're

screwed why do you say that because when

the kids get their hands on one of our

dogs they take him straight down to the

river and they sell them for

money well that's what happened to bosow

except they didn't trade him they sliced

his head off and they sent the rest back

to me in the

bag nice kids huh which river don't

worry about it man your dog's dead you

don't know

that look there's booby traps out there

there's trip wires there's all kinds of

crap man you're going to get yourself

killed all right Ma just tell me about

the

river all right Perfume River that's

where they take them now they got a

little head start on you but they're

pulling some weight so if you take the

shortcut to the ridge over the river you

might be able to spot

them
