I feel that there was an aspect
of double bluff to that,

that it was meant to make me
second-guess myself,

but I was not going to allow a day
of any further machinating

and web weaving around me,
because I have had enough.

and place them round the edge

because on the other side

is the location of where the statues
can be found.

and bring the statues back to me.
