So anyway guys, this is an extension of
the empowerment retreat. This morning we

did role play and the point of that was
to get to a point of trust.

Now, in this exercise, we want you to
really open up and go into a deeper

Tell us something that we all don't
know.

I can go first.

We all know the story. I married Joe. He
was the contractor.

We were meant to be together. But before
Joe and I got together, I had the

perfect family. I loved being a
stepmother.

My stepkids were my entire life.

I mean, now I'm going to really bawl.

So now, two of them don't speak to me.

How long has it been?

Six years.

That's a long time.

Do you wish that you would have ended
your marriage first? Yeah.

Ideally, I wish that could have
happened. I never in a million years

thought my kids would have spoken to me.

Never. When I think about my kids giving
me a second chance, I'm hopeful.

Because I can't imagine the alternative.
So I'm just going to say that they will

one day.

I think your ex -husband, he's the key.

I think somehow to say, listen, I'm
dying inside.

Can you help? Please help me mend with
the children. Would you consider doing

that with him? Of course. I think it
would make sense. By the way, I would do

anything. I want everything to make up
with my kids. I want them to take me

back. Miss them.

Miss them is not even the word. I know.
The best advice is to never give up. If

you long for that relationship, don't
ever give up. I never give up.

I feel so bad for her because I'm having
a hard time with Joshua going to

school. So me thinking about Joshua not
talking to me, I wouldn't be able to

handle it. I can only imagine how hard
and how upsetting this is for Margaret.

And I really, really do feel for her.

All right. We don't have to let someone
else share. You know, I did my sharing.

Okay. Teresa, anything you want to share
with us? Yeah, just a little.

I mean, listen, things happen in life.
You know, we don't.

all live a perfect life. When I came
home, Joe was having a difficult time

drinking a lot. I wish he would have
been a little stronger, but I feel like

women are definitely stronger than men.
And did you make peace with him? Did he

that happened before he went away?

You know, no marriage is perfect. And if
somebody says that their marriage is

resentment for Joe.

But, you know, I can't cry over spilled
milk. It's done now. So we have to move

on and forget about the past.

And I do think that feelings have a way
of festering inside us. But?

I've really never seen Teresa open up
this much about her husband.

She's not all the way there yet, though.
She needs to come out and say that she

wants an apology.
