Aldergrove Secondary School

is second to none.

Each year we take a few spots

at the national
championships for the AIBA.

If you're lucky, one,
maybe two of you

are going to make this team.

Now, most of these spots
are already filled

but each weight division
needs an alternate

just in case the champion in
that division can't compete.

So today I am going to choose two
contenders for each division.

Now come eight weeks time
we're going to have

the Aldergrove box-off

where those two contenders
are going to have a chance

to challenge the current
champion for that position.

What that means is that
it's sink or swim guys,

it's gutter time.

Each one of you will be
sparring for 30 seconds

with one of Aldergrove's top boxers.

and some of you will be sparring
against Hector Torres.

Last year Joe took the
light heavyweight title

for the 16 and under division and Hector

won the State Championship for
the middleweight division,
