I felt like Northwestern
was a step back towards USC.

and it showed in that game.

If you lose that,

Buckeyes have five games

coming up
in the month of November.

You've got a couple weeks
left in the laboratory.

It could be a fascinating end
to the season for Ohio State

'cause there's a lot of
opportunities on the table

for this team
if they can continue

to handle their business.

DEVIN: After starting
against Illinois,

one of my first starts
out the way,

I started the week
after too against Wisconsin.

Getting into the part
of the season where,

you know, these games
are really going to count.

Penn State is going to count.

Got to get ready for it.

I learned to watch film
when I got to high school.

I was watching
the best receiver,

if it was an outside receiver
or a slot receiver.

My DC and my corner coach

and my head coach
had trust in me

to go take that receiver
out the game.

But then you get to college,
it's a whole different thing.

Obviously, you still watch
the best receiver.

But it's weird now in college.

It's a lot of shifts
and motions and formations.

You've got to watch everything.
You've got to watch the O-line,

the running backs, quarterback,
receivers, obviously.

Formations, what formations
they like the most.

And then, you know,
you play a team like Penn State

that we play this week.

They obviously
got two good backs.

They're going to try
to get them going.

They got
a couple good receivers.

They got some guys
that can go deep.

So, I mean, you've got
to take them serious.

[fans cheering]

COMMENTATOR: Top-ranked
and unbeaten Ohio State

hosting 3-4 Penn State.

The Nittany Lions 0-4.

Lorenzo Styles
comes in for Ohio State

DAKORIEN: Going back into
that role was kind of hard.

I came off a two-week start
and I felt like

I was playing good
and I was getting into a groove.

COMMENTATOR: They're going to

DEVIN: Now I just have
to work harder.

I could be in there again.

It's really just about me
just going out there competing

and trying to get

told me early in the week,

and make the push to get

The only way to get there
is beat Michigan.

Because, I mean,

We'll get through UCLA,

really well so far this week.

about trying to get

your players closer
to each other

so they can fight
for each other in those moments.

I'm guessing that's kind of
what you saw on Saturday.

Yeah, I thought
our guys had great composure.

It was kind of, you know,
each guy had to do their part.

Like, you know, obviously,
Dakorien wasn't playing.

But every time
I turned around,

he was asking
what's the play call.

He's cheering
on his teammates.

I know everybody
wants some updates

on injuries
and where guys are at.

Dakorien kind of
tweaked his knee

on a non-contact play
in practice.

I think he's going to be okay.

But was obviously
out this week.

DAKORIEN: The week of Iowa
was when I hurt my knee.

I think it's something
that happens often, you know.

So, like, I wasn't too mad
about that.

But, it was just like,
dang, why me?

You know, tight moment.

We're gonna work around

right around the edge
of that sit bone.

Keep the knee straight
to begin with.

[Dakorien exclaims]

DAKORIEN: That whole week
was probably, like,

my best week of practice
ever since I've been here.

The plan going in,
I was probably

going to get the most
targets that week.

rotate your pelvis that way.

That was probably
God trying to sit me down

'cause I was going
to probably do something crazy.

I kind of feel it, like,
the whole time in the back.

like a strain, sprain,

or something being tight.

an impact player,

and we'd love
to have him back yesterday.

Ultimately, we want
to protect the player

and look out for his
best interests as well.

with a lot of daily work.

I didn't really,

like, prioritize my health.

I never really took
the training room serious

for real, for real.

All my little
small injuries I had,

I kind of played
through all of that.

Just try to make it
as even as you can.

going to be facing Indiana

if they take care of business
against Ohio State this weekend,

now you're in
the Big Ten Championship.

Ohio State, all you have to do
is beat Michigan.

One thing I will say that
Ohio State has on their side,

every single player
that's in that locker room,

whether they were a part
of the team last year or not,

they saw Michigan go in
and plant that flag on the logo.

it's a blood feud there.

One of the best rivalries

How did you enjoy working out
during COVID?

When everybody was inside,
you was outside.

It felt like
I was doing something wrong.

Like, it felt illegal.

JAY: You were doing
something wrong.

- It felt very illegal.
- [both laughing]

JAY: During COVID,
you couldn't be outside.

So, you know,
officers would give out tickets

for you riding your bike
or, you know, just being that.

So give them a ticket
just for being out here.

You know, but again,
we came out here so much

that they would
just sit and watch.

They didn't bother us. They knew

what we was coming
up here for, so, you know...

That was the great part
about it, you know?

That's how--
that's how we knew

that we was actually
doing the right thing, you know?

When the cops say,
"You know what?

We'll give you a pass.
So we were good with that."

BRYCE: Training with my dad,
I used to get upset

when I missed a pass.

Pissed all the way off.

And then when the opportunity
came, like this game,

okay, you made a few mistakes,
a couple mistakes.

Now, it's about
what you do after.

It's about how you finish.
It's about how you end it.

And I feel like
that's what I was taught

from my dad, you know,
going to every single workout.

It's about how you finish.

It's about how you
go through adversity.

It's about what you do
when things get hard.

You know, do you finish
or do you lay down and quit?

JAY: We used to leave the field
about 9:00 or 10:00.

So, now that you're in college

and we're on the second half
of your season,

you know, what are you doing
to prepare for it?

Especially without me.

For me, I feel like
the difference

in the preparation style

is it was more physical
when I was younger, probably.

Now it was getting more to,
like, the mental aspect of it.

Just the mental strength

to go 12 or however many weeks

and still being able
to keep your mental strength

and keep your mindset just
strong to push another week,

and I feel like
that's the real honesty.

These last couple of games
I've been preparing,

you know,
like I've never done before.

I just feel way,
way more comfortable,

you know, but this week
is a different week, you know.

Which one?

Yeah, sure. That works.

A team that wears
the opposite of blue.

PRODUCER: How much
does Michigan hate O.S.?

BRYCE: You know,
I hate them now, so...

I can't even say bragging rights

because I feel like
it's more than that.

I feel like it's bigger
than the national championship.

And. yeah, that's all
I'm going to put it for real.

Honestly, as far
as, like, pressure,

inside of the game,
there is none.

Because from times out here,

we act like
it's the last play of the game

to you got
to score the touchdown.

You got to get the ball
right where you need it to be.

You need to make
a play with your legs

and then throw, like,

I feel like every opportunity
that I had going into, you know,

the moments that I'm having
in college has just been done.

On the outside looking in,
you got a lot on your hands.

You know, you got
the whole stadium on your hands.

You got a whole state
in your hands.

You got a whole fan base
in your hands.

But in my head, it's me
and my team versus another team.

Both trying to win a game,
you know?

Best man win. That's all it is.

This weekend we're playing

can say that they beat Michigan.

I'm anxious about it,
