a mental health getaway here at the

home. So I just want to learn a little
bit about more of what you wanted to do.

It's so important to be ahead of brain
health. Yeah. So you don't end up in a

psychiatric ward.

Y 'all know Allison was my manager my
whole entire life. So to see her go

through something real, I was very
confused. Like, she's always been the

one. And that's when I started to think
about my own mental health and just with

everything I have going on.

My sister shared with me that when she
went through her divorce, that was what

caused her mental health break. So I am
working so hard to keep my mental health

in a good space and really be there for
my family.

So the goal is to open up a conversation
and learn. In our community, the

African -American community, we don't
talk about mental health enough.

I know you talked about even having a
bar.

Well, alcohol is a toxin to the brain.
What I think we should have for the

actual retreat are some options of what
we call functional drinks.

Supplements like GABA and things that
help you relax.

So it's a non -alcoholic beverage where
there is no effect.

a breakdown.

We started marriage counseling together,
but then out of nowhere, you just stop.

Ralph had an issue when Dr. Ken was
holding him accountable for his bad

behavior. I have chosen to stay in
counseling and continue my old growth

I noticed that I need to gain more
independence in this relationship and

afraid to speak up for how I'm feeling.

I don't want to, like, put more pressure
on you.

One of the things that I even feel with
marriage counseling is... It's just a

difference in experience in general, I
think. Sometimes you get to a certain

point where you need to really, like,
focus on the actual work, and you need

start applying it. And I feel like
sometimes with counseling, it's just,

right, this topic, now this topic, now
you've got this issue, but that's going

to get us divorced.

Like, I can say I've had less blowups
than I've had last year.

with mental health and really me
learning things about her that I never

22 and he beat the crap out of me. That
started bad dreams, anxiety, and PTSD.

This day is intended to educate us all
and to help us with our own

individual mental health challenges.

Transformed the mess. Oh, my goodness.

It's just going to be a very holistic

We've got brain -boosting foods. We're

Everything Allison did while in the
hospital to recover, restore, and get

my story because I don't know if you

know. In 2020, I started having anxiety
attacks and panic attacks.

And I called 911 so many times that they
ended up transferring me to a

psychiatric hospital where I spent 19
days.

We know as black people, we don't talk
about things. It's very stigmatized. And

I'm going to get through this.

So I just want to offer this gift to you
of what saved my life because it does

work.

I am so proud of my sister and her
strength to be able to talk about her

know, that was a really tough moment for

you and that you were going through a
lot.

And I do know that recently you went to

I'm definitely worried about the state
