-I tried sneaking in Katie's bed the other night,

and I was a little drunk, and I know I screwed up,

but I just hope that there's an opportunity

for me to make amends.

and it kind of gave me the ick.

Gabby is somebody I could see myself with,

but I'm starting to get mixed signals.

After spending the night in the hospital,

it's good to be back at the ranch.

Nothing was broken, did an EKG

just to make sure my heart's, like, still beating.

and I didn't know what was going on.

that feels like I kind of have to watch over him.

Just making sure that he's not overworking himself

and he stays healthy.

He's a pretty big part of our team now,

and he's a hard worker, and we need him.

It's not easy being so isolated out here.

-This week, we have a family from LA coming to the ranch.

It's harder to get kids to smile.

I know all of the other Wranglers

are cleaning up the bunkhouse.

And Jailyn and Locke are nowhere to be found.

And I've noticed that Jailyn has just kind of

been disappearing lately.

Jailyn doesn't really slack off. It's not normal for her.

But it's showing me that, like, something's wrong.

like she wants to be there.

I know for some people, that's insanely easy,

but it's been difficult for me.

I just miss them dearly.

and then they're being blatantly lazy,

that breeds a bigger problem.

They'd never experienced something like this

in their life, and I think it's really viable to get them away

from their phones for a while and show them the world

and let them see what this life's really about.

-I mean, I could get used to this.

-Honestly, I don't think you can get used to it.

It's like you just wake up every day

and it's just a breath of fresh air.

-I really love introducing people to, like,

this Western lifestyle, because when you put someone

on a horse for the first time and you're in a dude string

and you turn around and you see 'em cheesing from ear to ear,

it's the most beautiful thing in the world.

-Mom, yours is splashing so much.

-Watching this family bond and me being a part of that,

it's rewarding to see.

-You're gonna turn this young man into a cowboy for me?

-I don't know if I can teach anybody to be a cowboy

in two days, but these kids want to learn about our life.

They're gonna have to bust their ass.

-I feel like I can read people really well.

And I could tell that Jailyn was upset for a long time,

like, something was off.

So I just want to get to the bottom of, like, what --

what's actually going through her head.

I don't want to cry about it on TV.

I was such, like, a family's girl until I left.

'cause I'm out from under them and they all got on my nerves.

But, like, I miss them.

I've noticed, like, the past month,

I'm just -- I'm just tired of, like, dude ranch.

I'm just insanely tired of it. -That's fine.

You don't have to be in love with dude ranching.

and I don't like that.

Which is why I've been kind of, like, distancing myself.

Because all these guys are having a great time.

--Watching Jailyn get emotional is hard

because she's not an emotional person.

Even if I'm, like, irritated with her,

it's not easy for me to then have a hard conversation

when I already know that she's, like, in a vulnerable state.

I never want to let someone go.

And also, like, as, like, as a woman,

like, I want her to feel supported.

Whenever somebody 's like, "I'm done, I'm leaving,"

I always feel like I have to, like, self-reflect.

I'm like, "Am I, like -- Did I put them in a position

where, like, I knew they weren't going to succeed?

Or, like, am I putting them in a position

where, like, they feel like they can't come to me?"

It's just hard, like, as somebody who's also,

like, a 20-year-old woman,

to watch another female, like, struggle like that.

This family, they came here from LA.

The parents wanted me to give 'em a taste of the ranch life.

And I'm actually kind of excited about it

'cause this is what I live and breathe.

This is my everything.

They can experience this lifestyle

and see what it's actually like to get your hands dirty

and look up and see the beauty of this world

outside of your phone.

-They seem to be hating it. They look pretty miserable.

When I was a kid, we were building forts

and breaking bones and falling out of trees.

We were tough, and now, kids live on their iPads.

-I'm, like, allergic to hay, dude.

-Are you actually allergic to hay?

-I mean... -Kids today are frail.

That knife was given to me

by a really dear friend of mine who's no longer here.

That knife has been carried on 12 deployments overseas

for the past, probably, 15 years.

When Slater asked me about the knife,

it made me really happy, actually.

It means a lot to me,

and that specific piece on my saddle

is probably the most important, and I wanted to share --

share that with him.

I actually had a lot more fun teaching them

and showing them the ropes than I thought I would.

So, if you look at all these saddles,

you see how these pads are on top of the saddle?

these get sweaty and hot from the horses sweating.

We want these to air out, so they need to be placed on top.

These kids have been here for a few days,

and they're starting to get the hang of it.

So what I'm gonna have you guys do

is just flip these around for me.

So you're gonna pull the saddle off,

put the saddle back on, and put this to the pad.

-Can we put the saddle on the ground and then do it?

-You gotta hold the saddle. These are quality. You gotta hold it.

Their mom wanted me to teach them how to be cowboys,

and I think I came pretty close.

You got it? -Okay. Teamwork.

I think one of the most difficult things

for them to realize about this way of life

is that it's not pretty or fun.

It looks cool from the outside,

but when you're doing it, it sucks.

You can drop it right there, buddy.

I haven't always wanted a family,

and I'm starting to think, after working with these kids

for a bit, that one of these days, I'll want to settle down

to teach my kids these things.

At the end of the day, these kids

learned a bit about cowboying,

and I learned a bit about myself.

So it's a win-win for everybody.

This situation definitely makes you think twice

about getting involved with a coworker.

you're working with them,

you don't want to, like, burn any bridges,

but, like, you obviously -- if you're not interested,

you have to, like, express that somehow.

was that I didn't want his feelings towards Gabby

to come in the way of his work

because we do also have to work together and live together.

Honestly, from my perspective,

Carson should have just focused more on his job
